Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report - 7/22/21The signs aren't hard to find. CNN reported Wednesday that "the Justice Department repeatedly has documented the emergence of what could be called small, right-wing extremist groups." One of the examples offered in the report is that of Robert Morss, a Pennsylvania resident who was arrested in connection with the January 6 Reichstag Fire. According to CNN, when Morss was arrested, police "found in his car a notebook with a page titled, 'Step by Step to Create Hometown Militia.' Beneath it Morss allegedly scribbled bullet point reminders, fleshing out the idea of forming a violent cell -- 'bring assault rifle' and 'set up your kit' -- and notes on 'formation.'" Then there were Ian Rogers and Jarrod Copeland, who were "so devoted to former President Donald Trump and so angry about the 2020 election result, that they allegedly plotted to blow up the Democratic headquarters building in Sacramento. One commented over an encrypted messaging thread, where the two discussed planning, that he realized they would be perceived as domestic terrorists, and the second man had previously joined an anti-government militia group." Whether these three men actually did anything criminal, or planned to do so, is a matter for the courts to decide. But ominously, a prosecutor wrote about the Rogers/Copeland case that "all of the political and social conditions that motivated them to plan what they themselves described as a terrorist attack remain. . ." . . . Robert Grenier, who served as the CIA station chief for Pakistan and Afghanistan and later as director of the CIA Counterterrorism Center, made it clear when he declared in February: "You know, even at the seeming height of the crisis immediately after 9/11, there really weren't that many members of al-Qaida in Afghanistan. And the thrust of our campaign there was, yes, to hunt down al-Qaida, but primarily to remove the supportive environment in which they were able to live and to flourish." That "supportive environment" is ordinary, unwoke Americans who don't want to be overwhelmed by an authoritarian socialist nanny state. They provide the "political and social conditions" that the Left sees as motivating "Trumpist terrorism." What is to be done with these terrorist enablers? Well, there is a fully appointed prison camp in Guantanamo that will soon be empty. It would be perfect for those whom the regime in Washington decides are "Trumpist terrorists." Was Abdul Latif Nasser freed to start making room for conservative Americans? It's a crazy, ridiculous, absurd, obscene question, inconceivable just seven months ago. Surely Biden's handlers wouldn't go that far. Would they?Having followed Robert Spencer for years, and knowing that he is a highly intelligent, scholarly and direct individual who does not pull any punches, I think he knows very well what the answer is to his own question. We already have had the first political prisoner from Black Wednesday plead guilty, beg for mercy and "renounce Satan and all his pomps" (sarc-ish) while scores more languish in solitary confinement and other appalling conditions of abuse, finding comfort at night by singing the national anthem of a now seemingly conquered nation. The same anthem for which far too many kneel, turn their backs and act in sheer disrespect whenever it is played while cheering when the flag of that nation is defecated upon and incinerated. You want to bet that, not just the freaks and terrorists in the streets and in the faculty lounges, but that this government - this illegitimate and criminal government installed by deceit, fraud and treachery - its leadership, subordinates via the force of arms of the military and law enforcement would indeed "go that far?" More and more of their lies, from Chinese COVID to the election fraud to crackpot disgrace theory to economic disaster to out of control crime to the targeting of our children for death in utero or sexualization ex utero and on and on is being exposed and people are getting alarmed and angry about it all. If you don't think, especially now when they feel that they are losing control of the narrative or their grip on power - one they have worked hard to attain for over 100 years - that they would indeed start rounding people up, labeling them as "terrorists" and throwing them away in Gitmo forever, then you are not paying attention.

Watching Tucker tonight and the fact that the GOP does not understand the gravity of the situation we are in or seemingly doesn't care or that it's all just a partisan game to them, illustrates the danger we are in.
Tucker was talking to Jim Jordan about him being thrown off the 1/6 commission, he asked him why Nancy Pelosi had left the Capital Wide Open and why the Capital Police ushered the protestors in, he said because the Democrats don't like cops, Tucker has been intimating about the bigger FBI/Deep State/Deep Donk plot that is afoot. Tucker looked at him like the buffoon he sounded like, if Tucker had a thought bubble above his head it would have went something like this.. Tucker: You fucking idiot, you're trapped in small ball partisan world, think bigger you dip shit. There's a grand plot being rolled out by the Democrats. Good morning all - Today is the Feast Day of Mary Magdalene.
St. Mary Magdalen was a friend and devoted follower of Jesus Christ. Formerly she had been a woman of ill repute out of whom Jesus exorcised seven demons. Mary Magdalene has a special place among the Lord's disciples and is mentioned several times in the Gospels. She stood at the foot of the Cross with St. John and the Blessed Mother, and went the next morning to Christ's tomb to anoint his body. As a reward for her great love and faithfulness, she is the first recorded witness of Jesus' Resurrection. It was Mary Magdalene who informed the twelve Apostles that Jesus rose from the dead - for this she is called Apostle to the Apostles. After Jesus' Ascension into heaven, Mary Magdalene continued her mission as an evangelist, contemplative, and mystic in the heart of the Church. According to the Eastern tradition, she went to Ephesus with the Virgin Mary and died there. St. Mary Magdalene is the patron of women, repentant sinners, penitent women, reformed prostitutes, contemplatives, converts, pharmacists, perfumers, hairstylists, and against sexual temptation. Her feast day is July 22nd. Posted by: Tonypete at July 22, 2021 06:45 AM (D44eV) 19
re Terry Mccaulife. You almost never see a Virginia Democrat that was born in Virginia. I mention that to Repubs sometimes in NOVA and they get mad. Yeah, I get it, most are not from here. Hell I am not from here. But I am more from there than they will ever live to be. I am a Texan but my family is from Virgina.
The point is it is weird. With Democrats it is in the 80 percent range. They all come from worse places and decided to make this place worse. To me that is a terrible thing to do. Why not leave the Virginians alone? Posted by: Quint at July 22, 2021 06:45 AM (F2/Ok) 20

There was a time when the idea that the United States government would release Islamic terrorists from Gitmo to make way for high-priority domestic political prisoners was farcical.
How long ago was that? Only about 5-10 years. Not even Obama would have gotten away with it, because the war waged by the State/Party/Media Complex against the people was still covert. They surely *wanted* to do it then, but couldn't do so. Now, though, the war is overt. They move with impunity. Yes, they would. Dave in Florida disagreed with me yesterday when I said that, were I a high Dem honcho, I would arrange no-knock, shoot-to-kill midnight raids on Cruz and Paul; he said that if I thought of that, they certainly have, and that they haven't done it because they are scared and know their hold on power is tenuous. I completely disagree. I would not be surprised to learn the 1/6 protestors are soon shipped off to Gitmo and our valiant GOP (every member of whom up for re-election will be re-elected) will do nothing. The left is not "scared." They do not have a "tenuous" hold on things. They run this country and have the mythical "70 million pissed off Trump voters" right where they want them. He talked before the song about the military and the crowd was whooping and hollering and I wondered to myself, "I can't be the only one wondering how the military would really break in certain scenarios"? I also chuckled at the line in the song that rang so true in 2002 or so that our soldiers "knew what they were fighting for" in light of 20 years of waste and failure in the sand pit. Not good to be so cynical.

Posted by: Too Bad Costa Rica Sucks at July 22, 2021 06:59 AM (oWBc3) ++++ Those serve two different purposes. Places like Gitmo - and any number of repurposed or dual-purposed prisons stateside - are for the high-value guys they want to torture and wring information out of. Think Lubyanka, not Kolyma. These brilliant plans by the piddling powerhouses of the Left never work out the way they think they will. Black swans will be blotting out the sun before they can enjoy the feast of submission they're looking forward to. One thing to remember is that the Left is standing with their backs to the sea on the beach staring obsessively at the puddle of "white rage/insurrection/sedition" at its feet, while a tidal wave of external hostility is towering over them, waiting to smash them to pieces.
They are deluded if they think the rest of their world is just going to subside quietly and let them get on with their holy task of making war on white Americans. There are lots of people with lots of grudges going back many years. One thing they all have in common is a strong appetite for loot and goodies, both of which still exist in America, but won't if they wait too long for the ferals and incompetents to wreck everything. Before the Left puts the finishing touches on their gulags, they're going to be facing incursions and raids from abroad, and they won't be able to ignore that forever. The idea of "Universal Basic Wealth" would work if done right.
Change the Social Security system to be individually owned. Have the treasury put $100,000 as an interest free loan into the (government held) SS account of each child born. Accounts are invested in index funds that track the market. Once the recipient reaches 18, payments are deducted from their SS contributions as they work. Over a period of 40 years they pay off their original loan as their portfolio grows. At age 65, they can draw on their account using the 4% rule. When they die, their account goes to their heirs. Too bad my brother's live-in girlfriend is a very ignorant Catholic who is D all the way. She's as blind as blind can be politically. There was a genuine narrative during the Cold War years that made the Olympics more than just a sporting event. The reality is we can't fully understand what it is to be a Catholic who lives in Norhern Ireland and carries a UK passport. OF course I think he should play for the Uk. But I admit I don't fully understand the situation there. Many say he wants to become an American. My understanding is if you live in Northern Ireleand you can choose which team to play for.Obviously that is true because that is exactly what he did. Some way he has a UK passport and a Republic of Ireland passport. I am not sure about that. i know he has a UK passport but he hasn't explained all the details. After a lot of thought, I simply do not care. I realize that area is very different that the US and in the end he has to make his own decision. Posted by: Quint at July 22, 2021 07:33 AM (F2/Ok) 167

All of the easily detachable, heavy metal lids disappeared off Minneapolis trash cans last summer, and weren't replaced for months. Same goes for the metal grates that cover up the irrigation systems for trees along major downtown street. Anything that can become a weapon during a riot will be used as a weapon. -- I mentioned the other day that on Monday night, TCM was running a lot of footage (hours worth) of the Olympics from '76 and '84. Just straight footage, no modern narrator to explain to us dummies what we were seeing. Just the exact coverage as it happened back then. Juxtaposing those years with the way things are today was really quite an eye-opener. The participants weren't walking billboards. And the American winners were so proud and joyous to representing our country. No kneeling. No standing there defiant without placing your hand over your heart for the Anthem. It sickens me to think of these "protesting" Olympic participants standing there with obvious hatred for the very country they're representing. Because of that, I have less than zero interest in America at the Olympics, other than to see certain ones/teams lose. Posted by: Lady in Black at July 22, 2021 07:41 AM (O+I8R) 194

We are currently living through the drama that the Olympics of the 70's and 80's used to give us. The eastern block athletes are just like our garbage elite of today. They were cheating... we knew they were cheating ... and they knew we knew they were cheating, and they didn't care because they were going to get away with it. The only difference is the upstart American kids always found a way to compete against their eastern bloc counterparts. I don't see the GOPe or conservative inc even showing up for the fight.

There's a blu-ray set of coverage of ALL the Olympic games, going back to the silent era - 1920 is the earliest one, I think. It must be like 30 volumes or so, with both winter and summer Olympics on separate discs. It was so laid-back and informal in the beginning. Real amateurs doing with they loved. Lots of military veterans for some of the sports, especially riding. The Brits sent a good number of aristocrats, the Americans all looked like happy, goofy college boys. I don't think they even gave out medals at the beginning, just laurel wreaths. It was the Nazis with the 36 Olympics that transformed them into an overblown spectacle, and added in the politics.

As of this moment SS is no longer available for anyone born after today. The Fulton County (PA) decertification story is interesting. Basically, a software firm hired by local GOP to look at the vote records took a copy of the Dominion database for examination, under the active supervision of the county IT director. In response, the Demofascist SecState "decertified" the Dominion voting machines. These machines are different and unrelated to the DB copy the audit firm is using to examine voting results. It's crazy.
First off, why is the SecState scared? Second, other than a financial penalty, why decertify the machines? Maybe those two questions are related and she is trying to innoculate Dominion, by claiming the Republicans somehow "interfered" with the Dominion equipment (even though they never got near that equipment). Ice cream brings people with dementia to happier, warmer times when the treat was shared with friends and loved ones at special, joyous occasions. Ice cream has the power to immediately elicit soothing feelings at the very first taste of a single spoon-full. It erases all the negative feelings related to the frustration and continues to stimulate pleasure receptors in the brain with every new scoop. And dementia (here is the best part!) allows one to fully enjoy the treat, with no concerns for calories, weight gain or dietary needs, completely guilt free!

I read about one where literally they had a "white supremacist" group
that had 11 leaders meeting, and they crossed a line of illegal plotting. Two of the "leaders" got up and demanded that the rest get on the ground, as they were FBI. One was DHS. One was another fed group. That was 4 feds. The other 7, 2 were State Bureau of Investigation. 2 were State Patrol, one was the County sheriff and one was a local police. Of the 11, 10 were state and fed or the local municipality. The 11th..... State police from another state. So, basically the FBI is a "white supremacist group, which explains the constant whine that the biggest threat to America are "white supremacists". Jack has always existed on a higher tier than the
rest. That got locked in when he did an image makeover and became the Golden Bear in the 60s after looking like as big a slob as John Daly as Fat Jack. I think Tiger recognized that when he refused to do his Nike paymasters' bidding and turn his back on DJT. That showed a level of character I was previously unaware of and respect for his image. Posted by: Captain Hate Won't Forget Ashli Babbitt at July 22, 2021 08:22 AM (y7DUB) I think that Tiger did play with Trump. So many wanted Tiger to be some left wing political idol like Lebron James, bu he never did it. They wanted the same of Jordan and he never did it either. Both are flawed for sure, but they didn't seem to go in for the lefty politics that commands sports today. https://tinyurl.com/t3psz3pmnow this is a long one. But you can fast forward it. It is funny to see Pelosi praising the man. Posted by: Quint at July 22, 2021 08:29 AM (F2/Ok) 364

If California were as progressive as they claim, then the recall would use a ranked choice voting primary to narrow things down to two candidates, without a guaranteed place for the incumbent, and a second general election to determine the winner.
But, it's California, and they're gonna protect the incumbent at all costs. Posted by: Walter Freeman at July 22, 2021 08:33 AM (+WWsf) 373

Posted by: Quint at July 22, 2021 08:29 AM (F2/Ok) Tiger grew up in a two parent household as did Jordan. Granted Earl was a major league cooch hound buried in an unmarked grave, but it still provided a level of stability growing up that the lack of which didn't have to be dealt with. I remember seeing Nicklaus at a US Open a couple decades ago. I recall Vijay Singh ignoring the crowd. No I am I am no autograph seeker, but I did it this one time for reasons. My fave was Norman and he was only a tiny less bitter and standoffish that Singh. The thing I recall, is Nicklaus, the guy the didnt' have a thing to prove, stood with his back the the clubhouse and signed every last flag, tee sheet or whatever. He was smart enough to get his back to the clubhouse and call for some order. But he signed everything people asked him to sign and left no one without.
Singh acted like it was an intrusion, and to be honest, so did Norman. I admit the auto seekers jumped Norman, I only did it this one time for another. But I learned a lot about Jack that day. In fact. he embarrassed the others, his lessers. Posted by: Quint at July 22, 2021 08:37 AM (F2/Ok) 379
315 Sen. Bernie Sanders, a socialist who can now call himself a Democrat because the two have become synonymous
Not quite true. The establishment Democrats, like Pelosi, string the Socialists along with minor concessions, the same way the GOPe strings conservatives along. Posted by: SMOD at July 22, 2021 08:42 AM (RHGPo) 380
I'd heard Norman is a world class nasty guy. No facts on it, though. Everyone loves Nicklaus. A friend who knows Tiger says he has really grown up as a result of all of his trials and tribulations, and he's now (in contrast to his early years) really a nice guy once you get past the wall he puts up. Tough to be famous since childhood, I guess. Best of luck to him in his recovery.
