43 It was the morning and the trout were sipping. Jordan Robert smelled the air and drank the coffee. It was good coffee. He had purchased it in France, but that was long ago during the war. Then, you had to choose between coffee that was sold by communists or coffee that was sold by fascists. But the coffee was still good. Even though it was stale. And now the communists and the fascists were all the same. And the coffee still tasted like coffee, the same, everywhere.
"Stale coffee is not too bad, if you drink it," he said. The fish were not sipping anymore. The sun was rising. It was going to be hot.

58 1. Make a coffee brand and market it to the right wing using military and gun imagery.

2. Build up market share and brand recognition

3. Call your market base pieces of shit, say you would pay them to not buy their coffee anymore

4. Only leftist buy your brand

5. Military and guns associated with the left wing

6. Ban guns.

It might be the strategy, but it ain't gonna work.

Soak a buttload of whole or very coarsely ground beans in room temp overnight. You get a different extraction profile so it has a different taste than hot brewed coffee methods. I found most of the ones you can buy sour and unpalatable. I made it at home once, and it was pretty good, but i'm not using $10 worth of beans every damn time I want a cup of coffee.

92 Today's "Upper Room" devotional on gratitude as an antidote to worry. It's appropriate for both Christians and Jews as it mentions "God" as opposed to Christ-and the passage quoted-which you can find in the left corner of the link is from the prophet Isaiah:

93 I mentioned that my daughter had been given a contract to cater for the entertainment at our county fair next month. Although she will operate a satellite restaurant at the fair, she dropped the portion that deals with feeding the bands.

We just can't find the help. Between Lynyrd Skynyrd with 90 people and Toby Keith at 80, another band called Mercy Me had 40, breakfast, lunch and dinner with a lot of very specific requests, about a dozen extra people would need to be hired. We're having trouble just getting 3 or 4 on board.

Too bad. I was looking forward to it.

They'll take a solid body, good frame truck, drop a crate engine in it, new front end, brakes, exhaust and generally spruce it up. Now, they end up selling the thing for 25-30K, but that would still be a good alternative to a new truck for work. You're pretty much getting a new truck with no worries about dings.

I'm a tightwad, so I'm very selective when it comes to BOGOs. I could give a master class in the strategy. But the best buys are always in the meat/seafood department. One of the grocery stores around here has a great meet and seafood selection. Getting filet mignon, pork loin or shrimp on a BOGO sale saves a ton of money.

Some woman there said "Didn't you get Betsy's daily newsletter that people shouldn't feed the turtles?" (We didn't tell her that we didn't actually live there)She said some people are feeding them bread. We showed her the can of turtle food. She remarked that the turtles were harassing some of the residents. I was trying to figure out how turtles-the biggest of which is the size of a plate-and of which none are snappers- are harassing the residents. Are the climbing out of the water, getting on each other's back and trying to break into people's homes?. We're not talking about bears here breaking into tents. The only thing I can think is that people go down by the water and the turtles beg for food and people don't like that. I suppose if enough people complain they will remove the turtles.

The best way to make coffee.

We serve Douwe Egberts coffee which is cold brewed then concentrated to a syrup like consistency. The syrup is frozen in quart size boxes when shipped. Those are placed in a special machine that keeps the coffee chilled until dispensed. Each cup is individually brewed by the machine that mixes the syrup with highly filtered hot water (+ or - 1 degree) to a computer controlled ratio we set. The result is very rich, aromatic coffee without any trace of bitterness. Roughly triple the price of Bunn coffee in most restaurants.

174 150 There is a garden park in Vienna, Virginia called Meadowlark Gardens. They have turtles with shells as big as the hood of a Civic. If they are snappers, they could snap a leg at the ankles.

He said he did it to get more torque (or so he claimed), but I think he just liked messing around and building his own weird vehicles.

Speaking of pictures in WiP, the first time I saw that picture of the Dem congresscritters on that plane, my first thought was: haven't we been told for years that electing women is the way to make government better and more responsive to the needs of its citizens? What a load of baloney! I also noticed that the men, if there are any, have been relegated to the back of the plane. Where have we seen that before?

You can purchase a single cab Super Duty, single wheel, w, a/c, auto, cruise? , 6.2V8, and I for get eh extra at 40K, add a super cab is 2.5K and a crew cab is about 4K.

The 7.3 gas is not much more but the Power Stroke knocks it up about 5K.

Received an annual report yesterday from the local electric coop I have to use. They highlighted how may miles of power line they cleared of greenery and the hundreds of miles they checked. This goes on continually throughout the year. Interesting thing mentioned. During the Pine Gulch fire last year (claimed to be the largest in CO history and only 18 mi. from me), they were forced to turn off power to some customers. For an average of 103 minutes. All other power outages for the year lasted 46 min.

Interesting read.

They will just change their name and market to the Left.

Since their whole marketing image is based on appealing to the pro-military, pro-gun segment, they would have to disown all that. It would be basically like launching a whole new company. Maybe they can pull that off against the already established woke coffee companies but it won't be easy.

I also have an electric urn suitable for potlucks and fancy dinner parties where no one expects to sleep, but that one is taking up space and may need to go.

On the other hand, if one happens to be a total phony, living on some lie about who you are, in order to make money, once you can shed that and let the world know you are a good and woke lefty, it must be liberating.

I wish more "conservative" businesses would do that.

He just needs to move the save cookie function to before the spam and empty post check. That way you could change your nic, press post without any data, get the Empty Post? message and when you back out the nic would be saved.
