Is there *any* streaming service that's worth the money and not fully woke? I heard that NBC's Peacock service got The Chosen, but outside of that.
Also I'd kind of like to see the 'Get Back' miniseries on AppleTV. (Of course McCartney has now strong-armed Peter Jackson into making it extra long.)

If no: Depends on the script requirements.

They are life saving on some harley repairs. Places where you can't fit a ratched, and no room to swing. head bolts on a knucklehead, panhead, and shovelhead for one example.

many tapped out because it got so weird and offered no answers. The ones that love it finally accepted that there were few answers and these guys were making it up as they went. It did have some great performances. Pretty much everyone from that show was an unknown, and they all went on to other roles.

Probably not them but Snap-On hand tools are still made here. Their electrical, and accessory stuff like cloths, gloves aren't. But their sockets and wrenches are.

Jerry refused and wouldn't even listen past that point.
Execs were flabbergasted. "You won't even listen to us? We'll cancel the show."
Didn't even blink. Jerry and Larry just said "fine, cancel the show."
They ended up getting barely one more year with NBC to bring the ratings up, and did so.

I'm not sure how much waring appeared until The Last Jedi, certainly not in public, where they both blew up the theme of Star Wars but it also made a ton less money, showing weakness.
And weakness invites challenge (huh, wonder if that applies to foreign policy?). Had Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker been popular hits, you'd never hear of waring factions.

The HQ is really an oasis. Newly-minted wet-behind-the-ears red-pill'ers might not realize it, but there wasn't really anything like this outside of a few obscure comment sections on, yes, mill blogs. A wild west. It draws a particular set of people you don't find elsewhere. Sometimes drives them crazy and spits them out too. But still very unique.
One of those things you couldn't guess how important it is until it's gone.

I can. RvW was 73. So the presidents were Nixon (pfft), Ford (whose heart wasn't in it), the pius Carter (no Dem wanted near it), Reagan- Ok this might have been the only surprise, but he came to conservatism late and not sure how much this resonated with him.
Then we have Bush the Spook, who was a social Lib followed by Bubba- please, he was probably the cause of a few abortions; Bush the Lesser who was a dribble off the family gene pool and wasn't going to fight for conservative social anything and McFuckStick, who voted in Ill to allow babies born alive to be left in closets until they weren't.
In retrospect, it doesn't surprise me at all, though I couldn't figure out why at the time. It's like realizing after the fact how you had been conned, but accepting that you had and you can't change that but you can change the future.

did he ever care? He broke the Monica Lewinsky Story and a one or two others, mostly about Hollyweird. But he became the go to site to check to see if the world was collapsing in scary times. He linked some good stuff from the Brit tabloids when no one else was doing it. Other than that, I don't recall much he did for conservatism or general knowledge.

No one knows for sure, or that he even did, but the speculation is somewhere around 2017-8 when the site's leanings shifted, first subtly then not subtly to blatant. Initially it was though Drudge was upset the Wall wasn't being built fast enough, but in retrospect that is probably around the time someone else either took over full time or was easing their way in.

I felt the same as you on Trump. Like early on when he talked of having women put in jail (arrested?) for abortions it sounded like someone trying to mimic the base without understanding them. But credit to him, he was a late adopter and yet gave public support in a major way, and not one that he could shift later in a debate to try to (golden scalp) weasel out of to please moderates on the issue.
Maybe with 4 more years he would have done more, but he did more than his predecessors who claimed it mattered to the party, or the guy who claimed his faith was his guiding light from GA.

Just as I think sashimi is a wonderful presentation for fresh fish, I also believe a skilled chef can prepare a wonderful broiled or baked dish with it as well.
It's not blasphemy to use allocated bourbons in a cocktail. Dumping 6 month old Rossi sweet vermouth on it probably is, but the mingling of premium ingredients can produce amazing cocktails that are every bit as delightful as neat or rocks presentations.

agreed there. People should do what they like. And for sure a good ingredient, like a good whiskey, will only make a cocktail better. I personally try to avoid sugar in things I don't feel need it. We all get our sugar one way or the other, in some ways booze is just denatured sugar. Same reason many who quit drinking for good eat a lot of sweets.
And I agree about vermouth. Americans in general disdain vermouth. That is funny because in man parts of the globe they love the stuff. They drink so much very good vermouth in Spain that it even has its own term, vermuting. I basically means hanging out at a certain time of day, drinking vermouth and whatever, chatting and just having fun.

His version of conservatism was not mine. I was also too young to know much about him. But I have read some good books. I remember when he died. I recall his impact in the last half of this century. I also recall that he took a lot of hits and got back up. He never hid away, he stayed in the arena of ideas. He was probably the brightest we have had on foreign policy, including long after his term in office. Unlike almost every other Republican, even the lefties never call him dumb. There is a reason for that.

Lights went out for about 10 minutes. Impressive travel on some plastic trash cans and lids. One small piece of my vinyl siding airborne into front yard.

OTOH, it was also Hitler who canceled the Germany-Russia military exchange program that had been initiated in 1922. That's a fascinating subject in itself. Had he not done that, well, he'd've known better what he was up against.
In any event, there was no way Hitler could defeat the USSR *and* not get nuked. He only didn't get nuked because he lost first.

I had to drive thru WV back in 1977. Long story, was Easter break, graduation present was a trip to DC thru the campus religious center. I got stuck driving the part thru WV, amazing for a flatlander.
Their cornfields were on the side of a mountain, maybe 5-15 acres, not like IL at all. I farmed a small farm but fields were from 10-110 acres in our case.
On a totally unrelated note, it was an international group. My first time getting to know a couple of "Palestinian" guys. l'll just say I'm not generalizing but those 2 were azzholes.
