60 Minutes Runs Piece on "De-Transitioning"

Don't get too hopeful.

The 60 Minutes piece, despite featuring teens who were depressed and suicidal being sold on transitioning as a Miracle Pill to fix them and then finding out they were sold a lie, and despite featuring a boy getting a doctor to remove his testicles a mere three months after self-diagnosing as maybe transgender, concludes, bizarrely, that we need more transgender "care" rather than less, and that restricting "care" for transgenders will make the situation worse.

They keep saying Republicans are limiting transgender "care."

They repeatedly fail to specify that Republicans are seeking to limit such "care" for children, who are the victims seen in this piece.

But Evil can't admit what Evil seeks and so resorts to lies.

The segment featured how transgender activists have pushed back on legislation across the U.S. that aims to protect children from undergoing potentially life-altering medical procedures before they are old enough to understand the ramifications of their decisions. One of the transgender advocates said the fact that so many transgender individuals had decided to de-transition was proof that more resources were needed for trans individuals, not fewer.
Grace Lidinsky-Smith, who decided to transition in her early 20s and later decided to reverse course, said that the amount of questions she was asked by health care professionals prior to her decision to take hormones was minimal.

Grace Lidinsky-Smith: She didn't go -- really go into what my gender dysphoria might’ve been stemming from. We only did a few sessions.

Grace Lidinsky-Smith: They asked me, "So, why do you wanna go on testosterone?" And I said, "Well, being a woman just isn’t working for me anymore." And they said, "Okay."

Lesley Stahl (NARRATION): Just four months after she started testosterone, she says she was approved for a mastectomy, what's called top surgery, that she told us was traumatic.
Lesley Stahl: You know, I'm kinda surprised because, based on everything you've said up to now, I would've thought you’d have a great sense of relief.
Grace Lidinsky-Smith: I started to have a really disturbing sense that like a part of my body was missing, almost a ghost limb feeling about being like, there's something that should be there. And the feeling really surprised me but it was really hard to deny.
Lesley Stahl (NARRATION):And so she detransitioned by going off testosterone and then went back to the clinic and, she says, complained to the doctor that the process didn't follow the WPATH guidelines.
Grace Lidinsky-Smith: I can't believe that I transitioned and detransitioned, including hormones and surgery, in the course of, like, less than one year. It’s completely crazy.

It is in fact "completely crazy."

But Stahl keeps telling us we need more genital amputations for children, not fewer.

Other young transgender individuals that "60 Minutes" interviewed said that they felt like they "didn't get enough pushback on transitioning."
"I went for two appointments and after the second one I had, like, my letter to go get on cross-sex hormones," an individual named Garrett said. Garrett went from taking hormones to getting his testicles removed in just three months, and later got a breast augmentation and felt significantly worse afterward.
"I had never really been suicidal before until I had my breast augmentation," Garrett said. "And about a week afterwards I wanted to, like, actually kill myself. Like, I had a plan and I was gonna do it, but I just kept thinking about, like, my family to stop myself. It kind of felt like how am I ever going to feel normal again, like other guys now?"

Now keeping in mind that many/most kids are pushed into "transgenderism" as a possible cure for untreated depression, consider the following story:

They're sold a double lie:

First, that chronic depression can be cured by having parts of their body lopped off.

Many women decide to cut their hair short as an attempt to change up their lives.

Note that 1, this actually almost never works, and 2, this is an extremely reversible process anyway.

If these doctors want to suggest a surgical cure for depression, why not just prescribe a pixie cut, instead of a voluntary double masectomy?

The other lie, of course, is that after transition, they will in fact be the other gender.

No, of course they won't. Of course they won't.

Gender is not a hair length. It cannot be changed with scissors.

"Transitioning" people will only be "transitioned" physically intact people into a maimed version of their original gender.

And how the fuck is that supposed to cure depression?

34 One thing about it is, there are now a lot of detransitioning stories circulating on YouTube (until they get suppressed, that is). Mostly from young women, it would seem, who have become really susceptible to this crap.

One person that I stumbled across a couple weeks ago and would definitely recommend is Helena Kerschner, who has some videos and Twitter threads circulating. For one thing, she was on testosterone for a year and a half, and is still easily a ten; for another, I wouldn't say she's a conservative necessarily, but is very conservative-curious, and apparently has even been purged from some "detrans" circles for having some highly anti-PC beliefs. From what I've read, and this is what makes the theme of the 60 Minutes piece so disgusting, there are basically no safeguards where hormones are concerned. Getting a prescription for cross-sex hormones is in many cases about as difficult as getting a prescription for aspirin.

Anyone who thinks their body is wrong for their sex is by definition delusional and mentally ill. They need to be treated for that problem and if they are a threat to their own body then they need to be institutionalized.

But this is one of those problems that goes form 1/1,000,000 in a normal society, to what we see today and that is done simply by "normalizing" it. That means that for the health of society, we need to imprison all the Dr.s involved in any of this surgery or hormone treatment, as well as the trans activists. Lock them all up.

If you went to a Dr. and said you had worms crawling out of your eyes and needed them removed, and if he did that he would lose his license and go to prison. No difference.

(Sorry, but i just think this shit needs to be talked about in harsh terms.)

Eh, not my experience. After I lost a nut to cancer I saw an Endocrinologist to see if I needed a little boost. She had me do an MRI and several blood tests. After a couple months worth of rigmarole, she told me I was still in the normal range and she didn't recommend any hormone therapy. She stressed that hormone therapy wasn't a cure all and that if I didn't need it, she didn't recommend it.

I don't see how this is much different than foreign limb syndrome - except that can be caused by things like strokes, as well as psychiatric issues. Funny though, they never promise you'll be happy and feel better if you lop off your arm or hand. No, they instead try to address the underlying issue.

With these young ladies, they've basically been brainwashed for years into believing they're depressed because they're trapped in the wrong body. The "fix" is easy. The teen years are excruciating enough in so many ways, they sure as fuck don't need outside interference to further confuse them. But that's just what's happening, picking on them at the most vulnerable point in their lives. This really is evil.

I had a client "Jeffrey." Jeffrey wanted to be called "Jessica."" Jeffrey had his son removed because he was basically a drug addict to meth. He was arrested at some point during the dependency case and spent about 6 months in jail and I had not seen or spoken to him in a while. When I first dealt with him, he was out of control. He was emotional, had no impulse control, was using meth and was homeless and just an all-around mess. He was volatile and demeaning to me, his public defender.

I had an I web with him after he had been in jail for a while. He looked completely different. He was clean shaven, he was coherent, he was kind. He had a plan for when he was released and he no longer wanted to be called Jessica. I asked him what changed. He said "I found God. I realized that God made me perfect and that me wanting to change who I was made no sense. God does everything right. I accepted that I am a man and I am so much happier."

At least one was saved.
I pray to God that more people do this. Unfortunately, our society encourages and promotes that you can change who you are. So very, very sad our elites want to destroy the lives of so many young persons.

They were visiting in Scottsdale when it happened which turns out to be a God send. The ER called in one of the top Plastic Surgeons in the country to do the reconstruction on his face. It was an unprovoked attack with 3 adults sitting close by. Just missed his right eye but tore his mouth and cheek to shreds. It happened so fast and sudden that there was no preventing it. Dr said it will take a year to fully heal.

But for some reason lefties don't want kids to know that. Instead, they tell them that these feelings of discomfort with their bodies are "proof" that they're the "wrong" sex, and actively encourage them to "transition," instead of just talking them through a temporary problem. It's nuts.

If they "take care of the problem" not only do they anger people what chose a trade over college because of cost as well as those that paid there bill, but then they can't run again on the vague promise of dealing with it next time. Plus it doesn't hit their caste too hard, so they don't have any real caring.

Congrats to those who voted because they wanted this and now find they are out in the cold. Now you know how the Republican base has felt on immigration, the deficit, and pretty much everything other than tax cuts for business for...well, decades now.

Two of the young Ladies, she said and I quote "So and so is Bi and so and so is a Lesbian." I was like they are teens and want to be different, and we are encouraging this by putting up posters all over campus about Join the Lesbian and Bi club or what ever else organization rainbow flag.

To me it is not a big deal, I get it you need to be different and shock your parents and the Goth club is not enough. But you are encouraging kids and barely adults to make changes to themselves that cannot be reversed, and Doctor and Therapist are actively encouraging this.
