Fauci Committed Perjury In His Congressional Testimony. Here Are the Citations.
Good roadmap by Scott Hounsell for the eventual charging documents a Republican AG will put together for Fauci's prosecution. He analyzes several of Fauci's lies. Here's the rundown on just one:Claim: Dr. Baric does not do gain-of-function research, but if he does, it's in North Carolina, not in China.Note that Fauci denied that adding the function of capacity to infect humans was not "gain-of-function" research, which is almost certainly a lie based on technical definitions and common sense. Though he might have added, with his own hand, some special exemption claiming that giving a virus the capacity to infect humans was not gain-of-function, to avoid a government moratorium on this research. Remember, he himself authorized the "exemption loophole" that allowed taxpayer money to fund the Wuhan lab from 2014 to 2019, after Obama banned the use of taxpayer money to fund this kind of research generally. Fauci authorized a "national security" exemption to keep the money flowing to Wuhan. Who knows what else he might have claimed in that exemption-- perhaps, redefining what "gain-of-function" is.
It seems that everyone in the industry calls this type of research "gain-of-function," except Fauci, who specifically denies it's gain-of-function when giving Congressional testimony. But Fauci lies a lot. Remember when masks provided no benefit to people? Remember he then admitted he lied about that so that grubby civilians wouldn't buy up masks?
It's indisputable that Dr. Baric does gain-of-function research, and that the NIH has paid him to perform such research. In 2004 Dr. Baric began work on a five-year NIH grant researching SARS reverse genetics. The research specifically states that "the goal of this application is to establish genetic control over the SARS genome and provide uniform reagents that will be used by other groups throughout the country." While not specifically gain-of-function, it certainly discusses genetic control of a viral pathogen. In 2013 NIH awarded Dr. Baric a $10 million grant to study "the pathogenic activity of viruses including severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS), Ebola, highly pathogenic influenza and herpesvirus HHV8." Dr. Baric put that money to work and in 2015, it was announced that his research had led to the development of "SARS 2.0." Since Dr. Baric is affiliated with UNC-Chapel Hill, yes, his research is done in North Carolina. However, as Sen. Paul asserted, Baric has partnered with Dr. Shi Zhengli of the Wuhan Institute of Virology (yes, that's in China) to conduct NIH-funded gain-of-function research on SARS and MERS viruses. In June 2015 Baric and Shi published results of NIH-funded research into the mutations necessary for the bat-to-human transmission of MERS coronavirus. They found that when viral protein spikes mutated, humans could become infected with MERS-CoV. In other words, this is the exact research that would be necessary for a lab to synthesize a virus that would infect humans. A few months later, in November 2015, the duo published the results of separate NIH-funded research which led to the discovery of a new SARS coronavirus, a chimera, they used gain-of-function techniques to create. That research was allowed to go forward even though the US government had issued a moratorium on gain-of-function research on the viruses that cause influenza, SARS, and MERS in October 2014. According to a VICE article on the research (emphasis added):"The strain grew equally well to SARS in human cells," Dr. Ralph Baric, a professor of epidemiology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and the lead author of the study, told Motherboard. "It resisted all vaccines and immunotherapy, too." According to Baric, the risk of "gain-of-function" research is worth it. The findings could provide a way to create vaccines and immunotherapy treatments before the next epidemic strikes. Because we have identified both SARS and SHC014-CoV, it's now possible to develop vaccines that could target those viruses and the viruses that share commonalities between them. In other words, the new findings may help develop vaccines for many more strains of infectious diseases even though we haven't identified them yet.
It's startling that with the amount of easily obtainable evidence to the contrary, Dr. Fauci sat there with a straight face and claimed that Baric doesn't do gain-of-function research, or that if he did it's not done in China. Furthermore, to accept Fauci's statements would be accepting that Baric, who is indisputably conducting NIH-funded gain-of-function research, did not share any of that research with or fund any research of, Zhengli or the WIV, despite the fact that we know they conducted a great deal of this research together. At the very minimum, NIH Funded research was shared with and enhanced the abilities of Zhengli and the WIV.Another lie, of course, is Fauch's very Clintonesque "It depends on what the definition of 'is' is" lie, when he answered a question about whether he had ever funded the Wuhan lab to say he's not currently funding this lab. Of course he was funding it, via an exemption loophole he wrote himself -- until Trump ordered that stopped in April 2020. Incredible. Incredible. On the plus side, this perjurious criminal scumbag has now decreed that you may take off your mask outside if you're vaccinated. So there's that.

The men you referenced are not only unpunished, they're now untouchable. They still have access. They are still acting malevolently and on large scale. They are likely better off than they were before.
The same is true of the industrialists that regularly lie to them. Men like Zuckerberg are not unpunished, they are further enriched because they participate in the desired manner.

Where I work, we annually have to have respirator mask fittings. There are parts of our operation where it is necessary to sometimes wear a respirator. This year, we also had to have an N95 mask fitting. The plant guys routinely wear N95 masks for good hygiene reasons (from dust in the plant).
Having a full beard interfers with a close fit of a respirator, so those are verbotten!
Half the people wearing the mask in stores, etc., have them off their noses, or just not fitting well at all. Hell, a lot of people that work in stores don't wear them correctly. And it is all.....bullshit.

Also a few Italian pole vaulters. That Serb long jumper is impressive, but for prurient vs. athletic interest, wow, there's a lot to watch in some of those other events.

I used to work in cleanrooms a lot. Often enough, I'd leave the lab, take off the gown and hood and gloves and whatnot... and forget to take the mask off, because after wearing it all day you just forget it's there.
I'd walk through town getting the weirdest looks from people until i realized it....

In a health care setting prior to Covid PPE, ( n95 masks, gloves and face shields) were for protection against blood borne pathogens. Fauxi knew this. Thus his original statement that masks are not an effective defense against airborne viruses. In my dive down the mask rabbit hole I came across studies regarding the n95 mask. N95 stands for 95% efficiency at blocking particles .3 microns and above. Covid is roughly .12 microns. Interestingly I've come across new literature which states that n95 masks are 95% efficient for particles .1 microns and above. The mask has not changed. In a health care setting prior to Covid PPE, ( n95 masks, gloves and face shields) were for protection against blood borne pathogens. Fauxi knew this. Thus his original statement that masks are not an effective defense against airborne viruses. In my dive down the mask rabbit hole I came across studies regarding the n95 mask. N95 stands for 95% efficiency at blocking particles .3 microns and above. Covid is roughly .12 microns. Interestingly I've come across new literature which states that n95 masks are 95% efficient for particles .1 microns and above. The mask has not changed. Aside from evolutionary studies ie trying to predict potential mutations viruses could pick up that might enhance pathogenesis, I couldn't think of anything. Even the evolutionary studies might be stretching as one would have to predict various gene-swaps that could occur. I'm not well-acquainted with that branch of virology, so maybe it's easier than I think with the right computing power.
Regardless, such studies, and any subsequent live viruses generated by such research, should be done and stored in well-regulated BS4 labs in the middle of nowhere. There's such a lab in Montana that's about 30-40 miles away from civilization. This kind of work shouldn't be outsourced to China, which is why this arrangement we're talking about between NIH scientists and Chinese scientists was proposed.

that said, I did learn something I sort of suspected - the main vector of respiratory and similar viruses is people coming to work or school etc while sick
that was probably the single best mitigation we had through this. people just NOT coming in sick! remember the beginning the sick but had to work subway and healthcare workers? major major vector
so if we come out of this - screw masks, screw distancing - but remembering to just stay home when sick, that would be probably a good thing

And to top that off, now that the supply of tigers is dwindling, they've gone to Africa, enlisted to poachers to kill lions, bring the bones back to China, and lie to the Chinamen that the bones are actual tiger bones, not lion. As noted by others, a comprehensive failure/collaboration across the board - from courts, legislatures, electorates, media - was required to do these things and not have them stopped.
This is one reason why Election 2020 = greatest catastrophe in US history (as I keep saying). It documented and confirmed the rot, the hollowing out, of almost every institution, and in a way of the electorate/populace itself.
The combo with the absurd disaster of the virus response .... why my view of the country has changed nearly completely in less than a year (and it was getting moderately low already).

The thing that got me about Fauci's back-and forth on masks is that it implies something even worse. He wanted us to believe he was telling a noble lie in order to reserve life-saving PPE for the health care industry. So think about what he's trying to get you to believe, that the Wuhan flu was a super-deadly pandemic that masks offered protection from. But instead of saying, "Look, these masks save lives but we have a shortage of PPE and we need to dedicate them to health care professionals. So to take care of yourself, please stay at home until such time as we can ramp up production and provide everyone with life-saving masks," he told them to go out unmasked and risk death. If you're a Covidian who stops to think about the implications of his alleged mask lie, it paints Fauci in a horrible light.

that said, this past school year my kids were actually in person and I never stayed at home either - no winter colds. not a one. I think it was people staying home - keeping the kids home specifically - when they were ill. it was kind of nice.
people were scared to DEATH of a sniffle! which is bad, so on balance it's probably still too high a price to pay

That's the thing, even if you don't believe it was an intentional lab leak (or still believe it was from the wet market), everything China did after that was very intentionally aimed at inflicting the most damage on other countries. They don't deserve the benefit of the doubt, there's too much evidence of malice.

However, it appears that these server records can be reconstructed using the original voter results recorded on each tabulator from the machines that were uploaded to the central server. The longer this goes on, the more dirt is uncovered and Sinema is now running defensive ads about how wonderful HR1 is. Ultimately, the paper ballots are king, the reported results from the tabulators rank below that, and then the server records. I suspect that each level of voting results were corrupted. First, illegal ballots including illegal scanning of results offsite by contractors. Then county officials claim that only Dominion had the passwords to the machines so tabulation could be corrupted, and when that apparently might not have been enough, central server reporting tabulator results to the Sec. of State were corrupted.

I don't think the release was intentional, but I absolutely believe the CCP moved to exploit it once they realized that one of their test bugs had gotten out of the lab.
If they moved in a timely fashion to lock down Wuhan, they would have been able to smother it, but they'd have taken economic damage, and possibly had to delay their superpower aspirations.
By locking down internal travel while still allowing international flights, they made sure that everyone else took damage, costing no relative position while possibly creating new opportunities to exploit.

Regardless, such studies, and any subsequent live viruses generated by such research, should be done and stored in well-regulated BS4 labs in the middle of nowhere. There's such a lab in Montana that's about 30-40 miles away from civilization. This kind of work shouldn't be outsourced to China, which is why this arrangement we're talking about between NIH scientists and Chinese scientists was proposed.
