The Morning Report - 5/10/21 [J.J. Sefton]

pawlowbonhoef.jpg

Good morning kids. Monday and the start of a new week. We're headed for disaster on so many levels but one of the most Orwellian aspects of this Orwellian nightmare is the call to "defund the police" even as a police state made more oppressive and intrusive than the East German Stasi as CBD alluded to in his outstanding essay yesterday grows more powerful and active by the day. And anyone who dares to object is going to get their knuckles whacked, but good.

The last time we saw Canadian Pastor Artur Pawlowski he was seen on video chasing cops out of his church and calling them Nazis. They were there to inspect his church for too many parishioners on Good Friday.

Vee haf rools fo covet, Pastor Pawlowski.

On Saturday, the cops came back for Pawlowski, but they'd learned their lesson and didn't come to his church. He might chase them out again and hurl truth bombs about the police state again.

Ezra Levant of Rebel News reported that the police hunted down Pawlowski on a highway, pulled him over, and dragged him off.

A heavily-armed SWAT team just took down a Christian pastor heading home from church. Police say he's charged with "inciting" people to go to church. This is the second pastor jailed this year. We're crowdfunding his lawyers at http://SaveArtur.com

...The police press release explained that they understand the "people's desire to participate in faith-based gatherings as well as the right to protest... however, we all must comply with public health orders to ensure everyone's safety and well-being."

Translation: Church doesn't contribute to your well-being. We know better than you.

Despite this incident happening in Canada, it can and it is happening here. By some fluke miracle, SCOTUS got it right when they smacked down Gavin Newsom's shuttering of houses of worship, but SCOTUS or no SCOTUS, these people are not going to stop. Whether it's the pretext of public health over essentially a flu variant or the pretext of "preserving our sacred democracy" (spit!) over a Reichstag Weenie Roast that they themselves were the cause of, the illegitimate junta that sabotaged/rigged the 2020 election and has overthrown the government is going to stop at absolutely nothing to maintain, consolidate and ensure it's absolute power going forward.

Yet, you can't just issue decrees or rig elections and leave it at that, expecting the citizenry to just accept it. You have to have a means of compliance.

Ideological purges are self-fulfilling prophecies. A political culling of the military and law enforcement herd will keep raising the temperature of suspicion and unjustly disaffect and censure loyal servicemembers and civilians in ways that could bring about disunity, resistance, and disobedience in the ranks. Those fortunate enough to survive the litmus of loyalty will endure classroom training by equity officers that will impart the dangerous misconception that the real enemy may be alongside them in the foxholes, not in their laser sights.

The top definition for "supremacist" in the trendy Urban Dictionary describes it as "once a term denoting racist beliefs, it has been taken by the Democratic party to mean anything or anyone not sharing Democratic party beliefs. It's basically a meaningless insult." An insult it may be, but one that can easily be mishandled by military and federal law enforcement leaders to advance more sinister Democrat goals and strategies. If we continue to erase history and obstruct its lessons, it will be harder to recognize the real supremacists and extremists in today's battle space as those who are casting the political aspersions and pointing fingers.

In a way, it might be better off in the long run if the ranks of the military and law enforcement are purged of individuals not seen as ideologically in line with the "new order." Not having to worry about one's pension or even one's personal safety insofar as the uniformed tranny in the flak jacket and pregnancy flight suit next to you might not have your 6 if you find yourself in a combat situation, could be quite liberating. Better they fill our ranks should things get sporty, as they may very well get in the not too distant future.

NOTE: The opinions expressed in some links may or may not reflect my own. I include them because of their relevance to the discussion of a particular issue.

23 I just discovered yesterday that Voices of Europe, the website that reported on and tracked the Islamization of Western Europe and elsewhere, closed its doors. It was apparently demonetized, censored and basically deplatformed by the Big Tech Oligarchs and they could no longer keep the website operating. Since Congress will do nothing (and did nothing even under Trump) to these tech overlords, it will just go on and on until all that's left is a Leftist worldview on the internet.

25 Morning horde. nice write up JJ. and the more i look at things, the more i want ot ignore them. i'm just getting ready for what's coming and waiting to see how things fall out.

interesting side note, did a bunch of yard work saturday, and after decided to go down to va beach with the better half. now, she's a normal sort, not as in tune with what's going on , and she asked if it was safe, what with all the incidents that had been happening lately. i said since we were going during the day, we we're ok, just had to leave before the yutes really come out in force.

it's an interesting observation, even those who aren't politically checked in are paying attention to new no-go areas that the leftists and BLM are organizing.

* * *

Yeah, because everybody who thinks there was election fraud must be a crazed Trumpster lunatic, right?

The majority of the American public thinks there was fraud. Hell, most of the world thinks there was fraud, even many euroweenies. Those computer tech guys at MIT (who did all those YouTube videos) think there was fraud (and they are not even Republicans, let alone Trump voters). There was so much evidence pointing to fraud all over the place that one would have to be an idiot not to suspect fraud.

And yet, the Dims have been fighting tooth and nail (and still are) to stop a vote audit that is attempting to try and determine if there was fraud. LOL, but there's nothing suspicious about that, right? And only crazy people would think so!

If it was cooked, I'd toss it. Almost anything cooked can only last 2-6 hours (and meats tend to fall to the 2 hours)...and I don't think bacon is any different.

Now, if your house temp was in the high 30s/low 40s last night, I'd change my mind...but most houses are gonna be between 65-75, and that's gonna be a "problem temp" for the bacon.

My first real trek into beef jerky was on a trip to Shreveport, LA for some gambling. There was a gas station along the way (from DFW area) that sold Robertson's Beef Jerky in 1 lb plastic tubs. It was hard as a rock and you had to break off a piece to chew. Once you got it going, it had a really good flavor and was well worth the effort. Your jaw did tend to get a bit tired by the end of one whole piece.

158 "Defund the police" is a great strategy for the enforcement side of things. It's a classic move.

"Police are racists (or whatever is needed) and should be purged" leads to "cops are quitting and departments are shutting down." This leads to "things are increasingly chaotic and dangerous" and this in turns leads to "somebody has to do something! It's getting to be like Mad Max out there!"

And then the feds will "do something" and "fix the problem" by nationalizing all police, probably under the FBI. This will "bring standards to policing and ensure everyone uses a common a rulebook." And the mixture of Stasi and Cheka that comes out will be very effective indeed.

and to answer the question, i think it depends on how done you cook it. if it's crispy you're fine, if it's not, just cook it until it's crispy and you're good to go....

but i'm not a dr so take all advice with a grain of salt...

Best jerky is the jerky you make yourself.
1 bottle of Worcestershire sauce, 1 bottle of Allegro marinade. Let meat marinate for 24 hours in mixture in glass pan in fridge for 24 hours. Put in smoker for twelve+ hours at lowest setting. 165 - 185 degrees. Electric smoker from Sam's for $300. Those tabletop dehydrators for $30 from Wal Mart work equally as well.

I've done marinades and dry rubs. I tend to get better flavors from the rubs, but that's my taste.

I have a table top dehydrator I use, lay the meat on the tray and finish by cracking some black pepper across the top, then roll for 4 hours (thinly sliced meat, longer time for thicker). Used to make a few lb's of it at the race track when we frequented. It was a party favorite.

The salt will help preserve the cooked bacon.

If the cooked bacon is of the "low sodium" variety, though, it should be immediately discarded for safety purposes. Also, any remaining refrigerated portions should be trashed and replaced with real bacon. I mean, what's next? "Turkey bacon?" "Veggie '''bacon'''?" Slippery slope, my friends.

Ugh. Agile methodology (essentially, if we boil it down, "deploy fast, deploy often, fix shit if it breaks - but time to release is more more important than good releases because you have so many of them that you can also fix things quickly") is *not* a good fit in life-critical systems. The failure tolerance is too small and the costs of failure are too great.

They can always sick burn Republicans. It's not like McConnell and McCarthy don't give them enough ammunition. Ron DeSantis is a deep well, too. I suspect the real problem is that it doesn't work. With most Republican targets, the rubes will roll their eyes and agree with your premise while hating how unfunny you are. This. I am so tired of the statistics without context.

We hear stats on covid deaths, but never in context of overall deaths for the same time period, as well as how the stats for other top causes of death have changed (or remained the same?) pre-covid vs. covod times. DId we have 600k *more* people die in the past 12 months, or is it roughly the same, but attributed to different cause?

Same goes for stats such as nuber of cases and hospital occupancy rates. Number of cases may sound scary, but what % of those are asymptomatic (e.g. found when a test required to do something, such as fly cross-country, not because ill), and what % require hospitalization? The local news decrying hospitals nearly full is meaningless without knowing what the average pre-covid occupancy is.

The lack of context is always telling!

No. They weren't.

You can't be friends with someone who wants to see you in chains, who wants to see your political minority destroyed with the full force of the state.

Any "friend" that gets to that level has put his loyalty to the party ahead of his loyalty to his friends, meaning that their friendship was never of any value, and would have been discarded any time it was regarded as too inconvenient to maintain.

And #2 is the biggest category, probably. With less insane testing procedures, it's probably still #2 though it might be #3. The response was far worse than the disease itself.

Late last year (November, I think), there was a stats drop from Japan that was quickly suppressed. It showed excess suicides outweighing COVID deaths. Japan is more suicidal generally than most of the West, but that's still pretty shocking.

Thanks for the proper term - excess deaths.

I am not surprised there were some, as covid no doubt hastened the death of people dealing with multiple terminal health issues. I assume that the reason they don;t talk about this is that the numbers aren;t sufficiently scary. They couldn't convince us to stay locked down, live in a mask and socially distance, if the numbers couldn't justify such an extreme response.

316 Historically since the Great Depression, with the exception of the Great Recession (which was so big it broke a lot of trends, and the effects of this one were muted once we broke 10% unemployment), every full percentage point increase in the unemployment rate tracks with a 10% jump in suicide (up to about 10% unemployment, if the Great Recession is a stable indicator, which there's no way to know).

Destroying employment is a great way to get people to die.

Spent a week and a half with Indian support people before they would admit it needed replaced. Okay, request in process and was getting emails on status. They stop. I check and the replacement was cancelled. Spent another week yelling at Indians that they needed to get the replacement moving again. Finally got on customer service board and someone gave me number to call. The guy on the phone, another Indian, sounded like he was in his car with Himalayan cell phone reception. Told the guy I was talking to on the board what happened. Supposedly, after I sent in more info, they are back to processing this.

I had a long chat with a former coworker last week. My old company is heavily offshored (though not outsourced - their Indians are regular employees for the most part) in India. They have so many people out sick with the 'Vid or caring for a family member (big families, close quarters) that is sick that some divisions are starting to break down. I suspect it has to do with the second half of the life expectancy metric - the part after the word "at." Life expectancy always contains two parts: the expected lifespan from a baseline.

The one that gets discussed most is "life expectancy at birth." Is that the one that dropped? I doubt it very much. "Life expectancy at age 70," though, I could see declining quite a bit due to something like this.

I doubt it. They probably do want a fair few radical woke folk to act as commissars in the next stage. They don't need recruitment videos for that, though they may help some. I suspect the *real* reason for those videos is to deliberately poke people and see if they respond to it. If they do respond to it, and those responses are negative, they go on a list. It's hard to populate a gulag or a mass grave without a list.

Your partner then throws a fit and wants to refuse to give you access to the books and questions your loyalty for wanting to see it in the first place. Should note she was on dialysis for 14 years, fended off cancer a few years ago and was morbidly obese). What they did to seniors is criminal.

Just that they are actively hiding those types of stats because it's not scary enough to get the young and healthy to first, put their lives on hold for a year, and then after, accept their "new normal." They don't want people to have all of the info and make informed decisions re: the covid risks vs. lifestyle choices. No, I wasn't at all and I apologize if what I wrote came across that way. I was just pointing out that the hard mathematical truth of a statement like "most COVID deaths were among chronically ill, aged people who's deaths were likely pulled forward by a matter of months" is difficult and dangerous because it can easily sound uncaring - like it has an unspoken summation of, "and so it doesn't matter." I didn't intend to imply that I thought you were affixing that unspoken summation. I have read enough of your posts to know otherwise.

It's been...a number of decades...since I lived in a sleepy farming village in the Italian countryside. Might be different now, but back then the there were dry cured hams (prosciutto) hanging in the open air unrefrigerated at the butcher.

You simply carved the mold off it before slicing portions. It was only on the surface.

Over three years there, I ate prolly close to a ton of it.

Ugh. This is one of the attitudes that made me leave my last gig (there was no single action that did it, just a bunch of things accumulating, and this was one of them).

"Let's move 10 people from product X to product Y to alleviate the pressure on product Y."
"Uhhh, products X and Y are extremely dissimilar. It'll take a couple of months before the X people are functional on Y, and things change faster than that, so we're probably going to turf X in the process. We should either ride this out and see if Y calms down like it usually does, or just hire new people into Y, since the ramp-up time is going to be similar anyway."
"No new headcount. Transfer them. Technical people are technical people. They'll be fine."

383 Regarding EV's. GM is all in. Of course they are. They'll be selling 10's of thousands to the fed.

However...

150 out of 880 Cadillac dealers have chosen to close rather than be forced to sell under performing EV's. I believe there's wiggle room here for Cadillac as nothing is firm until 2023. But it illustrates the fact that some people in the car business realize EV's suck donkey balls.

This story is from December last year.

With the advent of Provisional Voting, that number is meaningless. And that's the reason for Provisional Voting.

Now, headcount via sign-in logs vs ballot count cast at a precinct on Election Day is the current numbers to look at.

Look for "Election Reform" that does away with a log that voters sign at the polls to come soon.

If you have life-critical infrastructure, it should be air-gapped. No access to the outside network. Yes, this is grossly inconvenient. If you want to work on that system, you have to be a hard-line machine on the premise. But it is much easier (likely, it is even possible) to secure that kind of system. If it's on the internet anywhere, it isn't.

393 #2 Arizona is going to find substantial issue with the integrity of mail in ballots, and people crossing state lines to vote. There will also be many people who were not registered or eligible to vote uncovered. That's before we get to an issue with signature matches, and more votes than voters.

394 What happens when bacon is left out for several hours and then eaten?

Extremely serious. It starts with a slight fever and dryness of the throat. When the virus penetrates the red blood cells, the victim becomes dizzy, begins to experience an itchy rash, then the poison goes to work on the central nervous system, severe muscle spasms followed by the inevitable drooling.

At this point, the entire digestive system collapses accompanied by uncontrollable flatulence

Until finally, the poor bastard is reduced to a quivering wasted piece of jelly.

Wait a minute. That was fish that did this. Sorry!
