Just returned to the US from Canada and the difference in lifestyle between two western democratic and free countries is jarring. Canada is in a massive humanitarian crisis. 0 economic activity, curfews, & vaccine rationing. 1 of the happiest nations & the ppl have been broken.
People cannot even walk outside in peace. Cops heckling about mask wearing in open air, parks, etc. Breaking up couples laying on the grass. People putting prescriptions in their pockets to walk outside at night to have a "pharmacy” excuse when they are stopped.
Top specialized professions have 0 opportunity. People like engineers are holding on to jobs for dear life on a day by day basis. All people can do and are doing is basically sitting alone at home smoking government pot. It is a travesty.
To those asking, I was in MTL where I grew up. One of the most beautiful, dynamic, safest and cultured cities on earth. Now a husk of its former glory.

I hate to say this, but I am at the point where I'll never vote for someone from the military for any elective office. They all seem like slaves to the Deep State.

There's something weird that happens when you merely take a government check -- you essentially join the Eternal Church of the Civil Service, and are unchristianly proud of your "service."

There's no quotes around service for people from the military, but civil servants in non-military roles routinely pretend that their jobs are full of sacrifice and heroism just the same as Marine Infantrymen's are.

And I'm sorry, a lot of military people seem to view the federal government as a God-State deserving of worship, and all fellow civil servants as sainted high priests.

No, they said if she doesn't get better, bring her back for x-rays. Of course, she did poop the morning I called the vet but she hadn't been eating...except a ton of grass which she never does. But...never threw up.

Dogs have about a twelve hour cycle.

Make sure there is plenty of water and you might try top dressing food with fish oil. Knowing whether the dog has eaten by measuring dog food consumption also helps.

Also check to see if your dog might have eaten something that could be causing blockages such as plastics, cloth, etc.

164 Tami, Purina makes ProBiotics which is a granular top dressing for food but that is really more for loose stools rather than the opposite.

Roughage (pumpkin) and stuff like fish oil helps move the discharge process along but a vet should be able to tell on blockages because the dog is in pain when palpitated and blockages show up on x rays.

176 Roughage (pumpkin) and stuff like fish oil helps move the discharge process along but a vet should be able to tell on blockages because the dog is in pain when palpitated and blockages show up on x rays.

She did try to palpitate her but she tensed up so much it was difficult. She didn't cry or anything when the vet did that.

If she doesn't poop tonight, I'll see if I can get her back in tomorrow. I think they're only open until noon on Saturday though.

178 157 Tami, FWIW - when our dog gets an upset stomach we'll feed him poached chicken and rice for a couple of his meals. Calms things down and less, uh, buildup in the colon.

The vet did give me meds for an upset stomach which I gave her but she only stopped eating for a short time. She's been eating fine since then. I haven't given her any more meds because she's eating her food and stopped eating grass.

185 If your dog does not have a BM tonight making about three days then you should see the vet as something is not right but usually it is nothing serious (absent other issues).

Like others, we feed canned pumpkin, probiotics, and fishoil on a daily basis for our dogs along with a high quality dry dog food and have for years. We also feed twice daily, once in the morning and once in the afternoon.

Part of that is we have had dogs with special needs in the present and past that required medication on a regular schedule. The second is smaller meals means less gas and unpleasantries on the back end.

I think you're right.

I can't even get her to walk around the yard on a leash. She's not use to that because we have an invisible fence. She's used to just roaming around but doesn't have much interest in doing it right now. I'll keep trying.

Meanwhile you had no rights only the government. And when the government decides it's going to do what it decides to do you "citizens" aren't going to get in it's way. And without things in writing you're, as they say, fvcked.

And even with things written down we aren't doing much better. Gee it's almost as if they planned this. It is strange to have this so called epidemic hit everywhere all at once and the countries all respond the same ways. Anyway I bet a lot of folks start moving out west to Saskatchewan and Alberta or wherever.

They eat Blue Wilderness grain free chicken food. 1 cup in the morning and 1 cup in the evening. They also get a spoonful of Blue Wilderness wet dogfood mixed in. In their evening meal, I give them some bits of cooked chicken too.

Never had any problems before with their pooping. Well the little guy does sometimes...but he eventually will.
