The Morning Report - 4/22/21 [J.J. Sefton]

Good morning kids. Thursday and the fallout over what amounts to a perversion of justice in the show trial of Derek Chauvin continues. The facts of the case, which should have led to an acquittal have no relevance to the bigger picture, just as, sadly, they had no relevance in the jury room. Either the jurors feared for their and their loved ones' lives or worse, they believe with absolute certainty the Goebbels-level lie about "white supremacy," "white privilege," "structural racism" and all the other bilge that have been poisoning the hearts and minds of far too many people worse than the actual poison that caused the death of the soon-to-be beatified criminal.

I called it yesterday but you don't have to be Nostradamus to see what this is all about. Divide and conquer.

Today's Marxist tactics are purely about political expediency. Since both political parties support bribing people with their own money, one more $1400 "relief" check doesn't generate the unbridled, unthinking, and institutionally destabilizing reactions today's Marxists seek. Thus it is far more effective to zero in on an important aspect of how people identify themselves -- that is, their race -- and reduce them to nothing more than that race, followed by assigning "oppressor" and "victim" name tags accordingly.
Then it's off to the races, so to speak, where every problem is sourced to America's allegedly racist DNA and every solution is found through atonement by the oppressor racial groups, though absolution will never be granted.
Today's Marxists are not to be confused with yesterday's Black Nationalists. In fact, they are happy to include other factions on the intersectional spectrum. For example, demanding that men be able to play women's sports, promoting hysteria around crimes against Asian Americans, or decriminalizing consensual incest are goals welcomed alongside racial reparations, for they provide the potential for acquiring political power, which is the Marxists' only principle...
...With incidents such as these, long before a factual accounting of what actually transpired, comes the snap judgment, the moral panic, the professional agitators' performative protests, and weeks or months of stilted media coverage repeating what today's Marxists want to be remembered and glossing over what they want to be forgotten.The same goes for police-involved shootings.
The details blend together such that only the most dogged news consumer can distinguish the facts in the cases involving the names we are told to repeat aloud like it is an incantation that will heal the nation: George Floyd, Michael Brown, Breonna Taylor, Philando Castile, Eric Garner, et al...
...Today's Marxists' ideological pursuit of tyrannical control transcends race, which is merely a stealth bomber in their fleet. This is not a race war. It's something much bigger.

In truth, there's nothing really stealthy about this at all. Regardless of the kangaroo court nature of the the Chauvin trial, the fact that the guilty verdict did not result in a "kumbaya" moment of togetherness and unity but even louder, shriller and more strident calls to not only abolish law enforcement but abolish the nation itself as the irredeemably evil co-conspirator gives the game away. The maddening thing of all of this is that it is all so provably false yet for whatever reason, ignorance, greed, fear, get-along-go-along human nature or lives that are so meaningless, empty and vapid that any crackpot cause that presents itself that allows a scared, lonely individual to be a part of a group, to have a safe space where no one can harm them or make them grow up and be an adult is grabbed onto. Nothing fills a void, empty soul and gives life meaning than saving the planet, defeating "Nazis" or "bash the fash."

The problem is, we're not necessarily talking merely about aimless Portland youth with Rustoleum hair and body piercing hurling a few Molotov cocktails. We're talking about whole swathes of our society in the halls of power, from the classrooms, broadcast booths and boardrooms to Congress, the courts and everywhere in between. They are either more brainwashed than the Moonies or worse, the brewers and dispensers of the Kool Aid.

Substitute the word "conservatives" for "political extremists" and "white people" for "racial minorities" and tell me if this excerpt from Judgement at Nuremberg doesn't ring true to what's happening here. Ironic in that Lancaster plays a Nazi judge who convicted a man in a show trial whom he knew was innocent.

I think the Columbus cop was completely justified in shooting that stabby girl, but I do have some compassion for the girl too.

There's a flatness to it. There are only maybe a dozen cities left. The rest are copies of the templates. NYC, Chicago and San Francisco are distinct, but similar to each other in terms of what they are: commercial centers and seats of power. They feel similar. Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Buffalo and Corning are distinct, but very similar to each other in terms of what they are: industrial and shipping centers. They feel similar.

The distinction between cities has shrunk dramatically over the past 25 years. It isn't quite to the point of "go to any city, go to all of them" but another 20 years of the same will get us there. It's similar in Europe - the major capital cities are increasingly interchangeable.

If you want to really get cold sweats, think about this one: what if someone introduced deliberate bugs into the compiler? Any software that gets compiled gets a bug, probably a subtle one. And the bug can't be found because it isn't in *your* code - the compiler introduced it for you. And you can't recompile the compiler itself because the compiler is compromised.

This idea came out of a thought exercise in the early days of open source. There is no solution other than to maintain isolated, older systems of various stripes. Compile on one, then compile on the old and compare. Use it to bail yourself out of a compromised compiler if needed.

My SIL is a deputy Prosecuting Attorney. What amazes me is that after 5 years he still doesn't come across as cynical. His attitude is every day is a fresh start. You win some, you lose some. He hates losing. What us outsiders don't see are the myriad of technical hurdles the prosecution has to jump. He is pissed about the recent Washington state supreme court decision that basically takes drug possession off the table. His job just got more difficult with that one.

316 My SIL is a deputy Prosecuting Attorney. What amazes me is that after 5 years he still doesn't come across as cynical. His attitude is every day is a fresh start. You win some, you lose some. He hates losing. What us outsiders don't see are the myriad of technical hurdles the prosecution has to jump. The town I live in has chosen to go the 'high density housing' route. It pisses me off to no end. We used to be a nice, smallish rural community 20 minutes north of Dallas. Now, we're an overpopulated conglomeration of apartment complexes and duplexes.

Actually had grifter scum trying to take things out of the van while we were right there carrying stuff out. They werent even phased when we stopped them - just wandered on.

390 Frustrating. One of my favorite local talk show host committed seppuku yesterday by posting a really dumb Tweet. In reaction to the Chauvin verdict, the Tweet showed four black males dressed in loincloths shaking skulls on sticks while dancing under the word "Victory". I've never met the guy, but I've listened to him for years. I honestly believe the guy doesn't have a racist bone in his body. Why he did this, I do not know. But it happened and he is gone. Not reprimanded. Not suspended for some time without pay. No chance of atonement. No nothing. He is gone. I hope the channel's ratings sink like a rock.

No, they just don't vote. I'd say a full 30% of people who would normally vote Conservative just don't bother.
One reason is the fatalistic view most Conservatives have of goobermint. Rightfully so. But it's still mostly laziness.

Say something to them. It's your duty as an American Citizen. Some of us risked our lives to give Americans the right to vote, and the right to have it not stolen from them
Not voting is spitting on the graves of those of sacrificed everything for this Country.

Tell them that. I have a DIL who isn't allowed in my house until she changes her views. Getting along with her is less important to me than the men who died defending her stupidity.
