The Morning Report - 3/25/21 [J.J. Sefton]

NYdreck.jpg

Good morning, kids. Thursday and there's just so much happening as we come apart at the seams that it's difficult to focus in on just one or two things. In the wake of the shootings in Atlanta and Boulder - which contrary to the propaganda about a so-called white supremacist movement out to overthrow the government and reinstate slavery were perpetrated by an insane woman-hating leftist and a Syrian-born jihadist who had plotted to kill President in Exile Trump and as many of his supporters as he could at a rally last September - the junta in power in DC is going full tilt boogie to grab our guns. Yesterday's headline on the front page of the NY Times screamed:

ATLANTA AND BOULDER: 18 DEATHS IN ONE WEEK

18? In one week? In two cities? Hell that's called a relatively quiet Saturday night in Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, Compton, and every other Democrat-run urban hell-hole where young blacks and Latinos have been gunning each other down year in and year out for decades. And the Slimes has the fucking unmitigated temerity to run that editorial dressed up as a headline while basking in the glow of a Pulitzer Prize for "The 1619 Project," a blood libel that is right up there with "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion." It makes for a nice bookend for the one they got for Walter Duranty's coverup of Stalin's genocide of the Ukrainians in the early 30s for which the Paper of Dreck-ord still has not returned the prize money 88 years on.

Funny with all this talk about evil, racist, insurrectionist white supremacists hunting down innocent colored people on a daily basis, one tends to overlook the fact that the victims in Atlanta were predominantly Asian, which is a group that critical race theory pimps consider "white adjacent" and that the current junta and its enablers in academia and in our courts have openly targeted for exclusion in our universities and elsewhere, while all of the victims in Boulder were white and gunned down by a Religon-of-Peacenik.

Speaking of Syria, it looks like the regime will finally get its wish to have boots on the ground there. Or should I say stiletto heels worn by the Max Klinger Airborne Division? And while we're wasting blood and treasure there because John McCain - whose funeral continues - along with Obama and Clintons have some sort of interest in running guns to the terrorists and which got Chris Stevens and three other brave Americans killed in Benghazi, China is itching to create some sort of incident as a prelude to invade Taiwan. Joe Biden may be a shambling, stumbling dementia patient but he's still cognizant of the fact that he's owned, withering body and condemned soul, by Emperor Pooh-Pooh Platter.

The only real enemy that this junta has a raging hard-on to put a hurt on are the citizens of the nation it now lords over. Illegally. And the beatdown will continue until morale improves.

We're rotting from the inside out at rapid pace and the worms are coming out of our eyeballs. I see no light anywhere for changing this. The top floor, the entire floor, was secretly equipped as a medical facility for the extended Cuomo family. Still there. Entirely unused through the duration, but paid for by NYS.

73 makes for a nice bookend for the one they got for Walter Duranty's coverup of Stalin's genocide of the Ukrainians in the early 30s for which the Paper of Dreck-ord still has not returned the prize money 88 years on.
++++
Not only did they not return the prize, they dodged the matter. The NYT has a brief statement that talks about how yeah, Duranty was a lying and unserious weasel who provided air cover for a brutal monster - but they don't have the Pulitzer themselves and it's up to the committee to retract it if they desire (outline.com/DHPaKy).

As tot he Pulitzer committee, they have themselves issued a very brief statement that while Duranty's reporting "In its review of the 13 articles, the Board determined that Mr. Duranty's 1931 work, measured by today's standards for foreign reporting, falls seriously short." But then, of course, comes the rationalization: "...the board concluded that there was not clear and convincing evidence of deliberate deception..." (is.gd/sz5url)

So, of course, all is well and Duranty's place is secure. Feh.

I put no faith in polls, but aside from that...

I never could wrap my brain around how people gauge approval or disapproval in a president. In this case, "president." You're fine with him until he stumbles down a flight of stairs? Are you for real?? Are people so zombified that they have no perception of what a president is doing to their country other than what his physical frailties might be? But other than that, you're okay with his disassembling America piece by piece? Well then, ok...

It shows the problems with polling, the media, the stupidity of people. His approval is hovering around 50% but then you ask people about the specific policies and they are overwhelmingly against what he wants to do. So there's that disconnect. Mostly from the media and people being uninformed. As I've said Biden is hovering around 50% with the media giving him a constant tongue bath and the greatest ever. Donald Trump hovered around 50% with the media constantly accusing him of being the greatest monster in the history of the world.

I got a bit of insight into this with a friend. His wife loves "The Bachelorette" and watches it every week with a friend (over the phone in the time of 'Rona, because her friend is terrified of it). The four of them invited me to participate once. I bit, more to see what *they* saw as the appeal.

I tapped out halfway through the one episode I watched, but it was educational. Those women watched it because it touches the gossipy, judgmental part of them without directly involving them. They get to be catty about the various train wrecks on the show and badmouth them but it doesn't matter because neither of them actually know the subjects.

They aren't watching for entertainment, it's an outlet. It's weird as hell.

183 Re the Columbus teacher fired for telling her class it is controversial how George Floyd died.
You would think that is a simple statement of fact. After all, as Paul Craig Roberts says, Floyd exceeded the average death dose of Fentanyl by 10%, even without considering the fatal doses of other drugs present in his system:
Let's see if we can understand what we are being told. Fentanyl is itself so toxic that it is sufficient to kill without help from other dangerous drugs in the cocktail.People who died from fentanyl overdose had readings from 0.75 ng/mL to an astounding 113 ng/mL. The average death dose was 9.96 ng/mL.

According to George Floyd's toxicology report, his blood contained
11.0 ng/mL Fentanyl, plus 5.6 ng/mL norfentanyl, 19 ng/mL of
methamphetamine, and three o.her drugs.

I dunno. It's post-America now. If they really want it, the SCOTUS will find it to be a tax or that it lacks standing or that the Commerce Clause allows it or somesuch idiocy like they've been spewing since they arrogated unto themselves the right of judicial review.

241 Okayyyyyy, then by their logic, it's mot guns that cause gun violence, it's the people using them.

What makes Chicago residents so much more violent than Hoosiers???

That is not how it works. Remember, many people here whine about the low intellect of the typical voter. The average IQ is 100, if we include over time, it may be 95.

For the past couple of generations, people have been not been taught how to think and make decisions from reason and logic but from emotions. Emotions do not consider second and third order effects.

That is your failure to understand here: You are applying secondary effects to a generation that operates in a world of univariant equations with binary results.

So they say "The guns come from out of State" that is your single variable. There is only one outcome: Guns from out of state kill people.

Oh, it's far worse than that. Repealing the second would itself be a constitution process - a new amendment to remove the prior one. I wouldn't like that outcome, but it would be legitimate. What will happen is worse by far. They'll leave it in but destroy it while claiming with a straight face that they are honoring it and living up to the expectations of our founders.

Just like they always do.

I'm in agreement with Russia where they pulled out and are reconsidering their relationship with the former United States.

Who really is calling the shots? When negotiations take place and conditions that require backing up by policy, unless they are giving some bureaucrat an open checkbook and the launch codes, someone in there is the one that takes the responsibility and has people downstream who take and follow their orders.

He told the cops he was fascinated with death, and just wanted to see what it felt like, and didn't think anyone would make a fuss about a homeless person being killed. What do people do to reduce the risks? DEFENSE, where possible! Seat belts, air bags, smoke detectors, fire alarms, and on and on.

But the gun haters don't want to let us play defense and carry guns for self-defense. No, we are supposed to simply accept the odds. Insanity.
