The Morning Report - 3/24/21 [J.J. Sefton]

dickho.jpg

Good morning, kids. Wednesday.

Never let a crisis go to waste:
real, imagined or manufactured.

Even the most naive babe-in-the woods can see that one of the cardinal rules in the Leftist playbook is in full effect. Unfortunately, there are a hell of a lot of the aforementioned dimwits who do not recognize that what happened on January 6th was a premeditated Reichstag Weenie Roast intended to eviscerate whatever scintilla of Constitutional rights to assembly and dissent we had before the perpetual two-week lockdown of one year ago. But this is typical, when all you have is a hammer - and sickle - everything resembles a nail.

For well over four years, the Enemy Junta and its propaganda organs have demonized President-in-Exile Trump, the tens of millions of us who voted for him and close to two thirds of the nation formerly known as the United States of America who, to one degree or another support the MAGA agenda, as irredeemably racist, xenophobic, white supremacist "neanderthals" bitterly clinging to the preservation of an illegitimate and evil society that should never have been founded in the first place. In short, we are all untermenschen now.

About the only thing standing in the way of this illegitimate junta that now controls our government that gives it pause in their drive for absolute power is the knowledge that in a population of 320 million citizens (perhaps 10% or more who are not citizens, but I digress) upwards of two thirds of them not only do not share their weltanschauung of socialist paradise on earth but are also armed to the teeth. But the question is, does this really give them pause? In any other nation, what happened on January 6th, to say nothing of November 3rd-4th, would have sent hundreds of thousands of people into the streets and caused what happened to dozens of US cities this past summer to their own capitals. It didn't. About the only violence that occurred was the cold-blooded killing of unarmed peaceful protester Ashli Babbitt by a DC cop, who has got off scot-free.

And yet, our law enforcement and military ranks are being purged down to lowliest buck private of anyone who so much as utters a peep of dissent and ordinary people are being fired, denied business opportunities or completely censored for doing the same. And we're this close to oaths of loyalty to an illegitimate regime with the same consequences for those who refuse, or whose voices in proclaiming that oath are deemed not loud enough. But as I asked before going off on another tangent, is all that firepower in the hands of the citizenry really something to be feared? They openly stole a national presidential election after abusing us with lockdowns, burning down our cities, destroying our economy, brainwashing our children ex-utero while killing them in-utero or cutting off their genitals and putting them in drag for perverts to abuse and calling it "progressive," tearing down our monuments, erasing our history, and on and on and on. And in the face of all of that Not. One. Shot. Has. Been. Fired. In. Anger. Make no mistake, I am NOT advocating that, for obvious reasons.

Contrary to the lies and blood-libeling, the American people are the most G-d fearing, tolerant, kind, peace-loving and forgiving people that has ever and perhaps will ever exist in this world. It is ironically those very attributes that, like the rest of our society and institutions, that our enemies have relied upon all these decades to advance an agenda that in a just and fair playing field never had a snowball's chance in hell from an electoral or legislative standpoint. Now that they have seemingly overthrown the nation, perhaps for good, they are relying upon that same nature to put is in chains, virtual or physical forever. The election -- AND RE-ELECTION -- of Donald Trump was the American people standing athwart history and yelling at the top of their lungs "stop!" It obviously has fallen upon deaf ears. So this time, are we going to stand athwart history and pull the bolt back? Or as the junta is gambling, are we going to knuckle under and crawl into oblivion?

The world wonders...

Most people are not going to fight over politics. Hell - most people aren't smart enough to understand politics. Even most who argue politics don't have anything remotely approaching a coherent political philosophy. They yell over scraps of knowledge and vaguely understood talking points.

33 2018 was the time to show up. Sure there would be cheating but not on this scale. I realize it is spilled milk at this point, but damn I lament 2018. The reason I do this is the numbers don't add up. If Trump supporters showed up anywhere near the 2016 numbers, things would have been a lot different.

But I do think now Trump was simply a figurehead. Sure there are some good guys around, that is nothing new. But when Trump was elected in 2016, the Repubs were at a modern zenith. It was fool's gold though. The Left had control of everything they didn't report on the evening broadcast. And what they didn't have at the time, they got not long after.

The latter point seems to negate the former, doesn't it? I very much doubt it is 2/3. My thought on this is that most people - in any system - will go along. It breaks down, I think, something like this: about 15% of people are heroes, about 15% of people are villains and about 60% of people will follow whoever appears to be on upswing. If your margins turn toward villainy to the point that the villains are winning (or appear to be), then that 60% become villains. If your margins turn toward heroism to the point that heroes are winning (or appear to be), then that 60% become heroes.

The villains are winning, and so they have the masses with them.

Traditionally it was always considered to be a sleepy Southern town. I remember way back when when some guy said he was going to jump of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. This guy shut down the city for a day. In the end they hit him with some less than lethal absurdity, and he fell off the bridge. Note to city, at the time even if someone did jump off, they would not be killed by the fall.

49 Or as the junta is gambling, are we going to knuckle under and crawl into oblivion?

I had this very same discussion with a well-armed and well-trained friend over the weekend. I said that all that was needed was one (or possibly two) very high-profile raids on a gun-owner's house, backed up by the full might of the military / LEO / NG, resulting in a very public, nationally-broadcast murder of said gun owner and his family, with the unspoken threat that "we're coming for you, too. Give up before it's too late."

Once or twice seen, blared 24/7 nationally, proclaimed by either Stinkfinger or Veep Throat and urged on by the traitors and cucks in the GOP and thousands, ifnot hundreds of thousands, of legal gun owners will trip over themselves to turn in their scary boomsticks, justifying it by saying they cannot jeopardize their families' lives.

That's my view, looking at it from a political POV.

Posted by: Mary Poppins' Practically Perfect Piercing at March 24, 2021 08:09 AM (2JVJo)

50 JJ's opening essay reminds me of one of the first philosophical disagreements I had with my father. We were leaving the house one day and he didn't bother locking up. I mentioned it. He replied that, "locks only keep out honest people anyway."

This did not sit well with me because it appeared to be untrue. If it were true, no one would buy locks. It took me a while to figure out my objection and mention it to him. Locks do not keep out honest people, they keep out the *casually dishonest.* People who will happily rob you, but only if it isn't too much effort - people who will exploit a target of opportunity but aren't really committed to wrongdoing. There are tremendous number of the "casually dishonest."

I suspect that the overlap between the "casually dishonest" and the 60% in the go-along crowd (see @3 is remarkable.

The solution is to actually organize armed citizens into actual militias who are willing to literally "pull the trigger" figuratively and quite literally.

The danger in that is who to trust. How do you know the FBI is not actively engaging in sting operations all over the country as a pretext to round up the usual suspects.

Organizing is the key. But it's a huge risk. They know it and we know it.

I don't know, but it is the most puzzling bit of the enwokening. Razors are mostly sold to men. Yes, women use them too but razors on their own are mostly a male affair. And given that vast numbers of woke men have gone down the "big hipster beard as a symbol of ersatz manhood" road, they aren't buying nearly as many razors as a group.

It is suicidal. Or it doesn't matter anyway because no one cares about the woke destruction of the culture (or, rather, nowhere near enough people care).

I bought a bunch of razors (about a year's worth) because they're compatible with my DSC handles and the like that I had leftover after I dropped DSC for going woke. They're better than decent razors, but not as good as the true premiums.

74 South Carolina State Senators Suggest Making Everyone a Militia Member to Protect Gun Rights

Posted by: Doctor.Boom

The Militia Act of 1903, also known as The Dick Act (naturally), already makes all male citizens of the US between 17 and 45 who are not already in the military or formally organized National Guard, members of the "Unorganized Militia".

2nd Amendment: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

1 plus 1 = All laws attempting to infringe on my right to possess a firearm are unconstitutional, since I'm in the Unorganized Militia.

IIRC when we were discussing it last time DSC gets their razors from a company named Dorco, which also sells directly to the public. Might be worth a look to see if they're political.

My fear is that the Feebs have taken a page from the Vietnamese and Norks and are slowly rounding up the various people who would be able to recruit and organize, in order to neutralize them and leave the remnant disorganized, leaderless and cannon fodder for the military junta.

Of course, the utter spinlelessness of the GOP is beyond infuriating. It's as though we were being herded to the gas chambers and they were the camp orchestra playing the Merry Widow Waltz.

And people wonder why I want to go to bed and never wake up again.

I once had a teacher in junior high who's degree of cynicism was close to what mine became. One of my classmates made some reference to some expert or another. The context has long since disappeared from my memory. After my classmate made his point, the teacher asked him a question. He asked, "do you know what it takes to be an expert? It's the easiest thing in the world, and you can do it in four easy steps. Wear a suit, carry a briefcase, work at least 50 miles from where you live and don't be overly committed to the truth. Not being a gun owner myself (though I want to be), my observations as to what might or might not happen are based on my observations of human nature, government coercion and media propaganda, leavened with my own personal, endless supply of cynicism.

I still predict military firing on government-smeared "gun nuts" and no reaction from the American citizenry. YMMV.

It'll be interesting if she works with the state legislature to get something passed now.

Whether she originally meant to just kill the bill for a fundraising email campaign or to actually make it better, her actually getting it done still would be edifying. If she meant her criticisms and wanted it to be better, then she's a smart fighter. If she wanted to kill it, then the conservative grassroots just flexed its muscle without having to actually knock anyone out of office.

It'll be...interesting.

Here's the neat part.

She doesn't have to. Same as she doesn't have to pass a bill banning Christian schools.

All she has to do is pass a bill protecting mentally-ill cross-dressers, and include one little paragraph saying that it can't be taught that boys and girls are different (same way you can't legally teach that black and whites are different) and *poof*

Mission accomplished.

344 he Lee Lancers of Springfield Virginia are now the Lewis Lancers. They are named for John Lewis, the former rep.
of course Lewis wasn't from that area or even from Virginia. To be honest, that fits with most people that live in the area. Again I have no problem with them naming a school for Lewis. I might have had issues with deleting historical names in the past, but if people truly don't want it, there is little you can do. What I do have a problem with is that many would rather upend history than actually learn some of it. I do have a problem with people who care nothing of the state they immigrated to but only want to smash the crap out of the memories of others.

I don't want to give the Dems any clues, but I would be shocked to be honest if military bases are not next. Maybe Biden thinks they should hold off, but they will get to it.

348 @49:

It's easy to forget, but in recent memory the feds became similarly vicious. The main events were
Waco and so forth, but there were many less dramatic steps along the way, generally OTT raids under the guise of firearms violations and drugs sales, always with a TV crew in tow to frighten the masses.
They became bolder and more reckless until Oklahoma City. Then they stopped. Timothy McVeigh himself was a monster and what he did was monstrous but the point is it took THAT to make them back off a while.
So even 30 years ago Americans put up with many grotesque, fascistic civil rights violations. The propaganda organs distorted what federal law enforcement did and presented it as good. It only stopped for a bit when a nutjob killed innocents within the same system that produced armed thugs who did similar things to innocents.
Every aspect of that situation is worse now. Federal law enforcement engaged in a blatant attempted coup and were not punished. The system is far more dangerous and corrupt. The public is far more jaded and apathetic. The propaganda organs fabricate as well as distort. There are more McVeigh types trained to use far worse weapons.
It can't end well.

It started long before that. The collapse of the USA started when we did nothing about the known and warned-about communist infiltration of academia and bureaucracies at all levels.

The media savagery of HUAC and Tail Gunner Joe drove the normies into tacit acceptance of commies in our midst, when they should have been rounded-up and shot. Now add the utter blissful Boomer ignorance of anything that doesn't directly and immediately impact them and you have the perfect storm for our destruction.

He seems like a smart strategist, and maybe just too much ego to compete with the Trump ego is what got him ousted early from Team Trump (or maybe it was DeepState and Jarvanka that ousted him, idk). Powell said it was not just Dominion machines ... all were compromised ... seems clear the ballots did not line up with the machine count, so it is at least partly the machines.

384 So Bannon's war room does some good stuff, but he seems to feel he is in competition with Sidney Powell, and has put her group down before.

This is a large part of the amnesty push. The Democrats have bills they'll vote on and sign into law that gives them rushed green cards and voting rights in 3 years.

I have no doubt they'll be placed into communities to tip the scales for the Democrats.

There's also no apparent anger towards the progs who still keep parts of the country locked down for no reason.

We won't fight or win a war like that. The only hope is a political war with a new class of warrior. Trump was only an incipient form of the warrior. From where this warrior, or others like him will come, I have no idea, certainly not from the GOP. But it is hard to imagine conditions more perfect for his or her emergence. Job number one must be a full-scale, remorseless war on the media. The media are the Myrmidons. Take them down, the Left and democrats crumble.

idk, don't listen to everything he puts out, he just made the big fat claim and moved on. ... imo they did not have to run all the fake ballots through (in all cases), they just had to get them on site to count later ... in some cases, replacing Trump votes. Other cases, tweaking the settings to reject ballots so they could be looked at by a Democrat ... and counted for Biden. ... But yes, there was a lot of ballot stuffing ... with fake signatures, or none at all.

409 https://tinyurl.com/cbbt9wtcyes, this is the famous High School from the movie Remember the Titans.
btw, a tidbit here. There was once a school called Ft. Hunt in that area. They were called The Federals of all things. There is still a region called Ft. Hunt and a National Park of that same name. Hunt was a Union General and a very talented artillerist. I doubt they would have tried to change that name, but then again they might have if it still existed. I mention that because there are union monuments and memories in the historical South, mainly in VA. No one mentions those because pretty much no one even knows they exist.
In Manassas VA, Grant Avenue is much larger and more prominent than the street named after Lee.

could be, but imo it was both. They were shaving votes even in districts where Trump won, that is the point of having the ability to award fractional votes. I thought it was proven they did this in other countries, probably here in previous elections. When Trump beat even that, they had to do the late night stop and dump, trucked in the fakes, set machines to accept any signature in that case. ... (Pelosi had announced in advance "it might look like Trump won, but late counts will change that" ... paraphrased)

417 "who do not recognize that what happened on January 6th was a premeditated Reichstag Weenie Roast"

No, what happened on January 6 was that history called on Donald Trump for the final time and he utterly flubbed his lines.

Trump had from November 3 to January 5 to respond to what was being done and what was being prepared. He had from January 20 2017 to November 3 2020 to observe the situation and prepare his response. Everything that has happened, happened because Trump, having the power to do something about it, chose not to use that power and chose not to put people into key positions who would actually take his orders and carry them out.

It's not all his fault, of course. The citizenry of this country have largely abdicated all civic responsibility and education; that's a necessary prerequisite for things getting to this point. They put Trump in with the vague idea that he'd somehow solve everything on his own and they could go back to watching football, Survivor, and Bachelorette. It doesn't work that way. When something is valuable, you must work to have it and to keep it. January 6 was proof positive that the American citizenry still does not understand that.

I hear ya. But the mob has gone after Union monuments. They went after some Lincoln stuff and got them canceled. People even defaced the Shaw Monument. And many have been trying to "cancel" Lincoln. If they had a clue about their orthodoxy, they would cancel Grant, Sherman, and all the rest. Nothing funny about this, it is about as sad as it can get. But to be honest, I am to the point I know longer care. To care would be to care about the people and their knowledge of history. These days that is a hard slog for me.
