Biden Has Set a Record for Longest Period by a New President Without a Press Conference

And he's still padding his record. He refuses to stand alone and answer questions from an extremely-friendly, nigh-fellative press corps.

bidenpressconference.png

Even is leftwing Spirit Squad is starting to notice:

@jaketapper

@Kevinliptakcnn notes that an analysis of the past 100 years shows President Biden’s 15 most recent predecessors all held a formal solo press conference within 33 days of taking office. Biden has not and it’s day 42.

People are noticing that Biden is refusing to schedule a State of the Union address, and the media is rushing to save him, noting that there's no absolute, formal deadline for staging one.

No, but in the modern age, it's always been in January or February.

As I saw someone on Twitter point out: There's no way Biden can stand for 90 minutes, at night, post-sundown, and try to read words he's seeing for the first time with that bullshit "Steely Eyed Glare" he always does as he slips into a dementia fog.

It might literally kill him.

Even when he sits down with a single, hand-picked Friendly "Journalist," he clings to his Nurse/Helper/Wife/Dementia-Whisperer, who is always by his side and ready to answer for him when he begins sundowning.

Michael Walsh thinks we're already in a Post-Biden presidency:

We're now six weeks or so into the sham presidency of Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., and already the end of the Biden era seems near.

A bumbling shell of a man, constantly attended by his wife, Jill, and with the lengthening shadow of his vice president, Kamala Harris, looming in the background, Biden seems incapable of doing anything except signing the slew of executive orders his handlers shove under his nose until at last, exhausted, his team "calls a lid" on his workday and packs him back off upstairs at the White House for a nice lie-down before noontime.

It would be funny if it weren’t so tragic--or perhaps it would be tragic if it weren't so funny. No one has ever mistaken Biden for an intellectual; indeed he has long acted like the bully at the end of an Irish bar, full of bluster and braggadocio, without being able in the slightest to back up his boasts.

The good news is, he's not likely to be there very long. The bad news is who might replace him: In Harris--the daughter of two foreign-born parents who was raised by them in Canada, and who garnered no support from the Democrat primary electorate during her short, disastrous campaign for the top spot on the 2020 ticket --we have one of the most dangerous prospective presidents ever.

Do check out Michael Walsh's Last Stands: Why Men Fight When All Is Lost, a survey of famous last stands in warfare. The unofficial subtitle is "Case Studies in Toxic Masculinity."

He'd completely crumble if the teleprompters went down. It would be an international embarrassment. A paper backup script wouldn't save him. Retailers have noticed that if you don't set limits on ammo sales and gun sales, they sell out in minutes and people get frustrated. Limiting sales is a good move for them because they still sell out, but more people get a chance to buy from them, which improves public perception of them.

A lot of these guns and even the ammo are being gobbled up by re-sellers who mark the price up even more!

So his record will stand, forever, at 1,461 days. Unless he dies or is replaced, of course.

I've previously been on the record saying that Biden would be replaced by Harris within three months of his usurpation of the presidency, and then Harris would shoot herself four times in the back of the head and throw herself off the top of the Washington Monument, whereupon Hillary Clinton would be declared President by Popular Acclaim.

However, considering what the Deep State has gotten away with in the last year, and further considering that they are Diabolical Narcissists who revel in committing their crimes in broad daylight without threat of negative repercussions, I now think they'll just have Biden propped up dead in his chair until noon on January 20, 2025, and nobody will do a fucking thing about it.

If he ever does a general White House press corps press conference, he will only call on the tame reporters listed on a card Jen Psaki gives him. But it looks like Team Biden is afraid of even that situation. If they are afraid that supposedly-tame reporters may go off-script, continued delay of a press conference only increases that rogue reporter probability.

It'll be made one hundred times worse when the media gushes over and over again about re-electing the first woman of color president while willfully ignoring that Biden was always unfit for office.

Posted by: klaftern at March 03, 2021 02:27 PM (RuIsu)

107 First year SOTU Speech

Q: Is there a State of the Union speech every year?

A: No. Recent presidents - Reagan in 1981, George H.W. Bush in 1989, Clinton in 1993, George W. Bush in 2001, Barack Obama in 2009 and Trump in 2017 - have chosen not to deliver official State of the Union addresses during their first years in office.
Those speeches would have come soon after their inaugural addresses.
However, many, including Trump, have delivered major speeches in frontof Congress that have had the feel of the State of the Union without the title.

157 Biden's now taken 27% longer than Bush 43, and the clock is still running. As Ace said, they are likely very worried about Biden's ability to hold up. He barely held it together during the debates, and during the debates he could run a lot of canned responses.

I imagine that every appearance requires a careful combination of pre-event rest, go-juice (drugs) and prep. The prep is especially difficult because things change in the real world. The aftermath probably takes him out of commission for at least a day and probably two. They're going to have to manage it *very* carefully and ensure that the press throws no curveballs whatsoever.

It must be hell on his handlers.

167 As a small government guy, I could really get on board with a president that wakeups at 9am and calls it a day 10am everyday. Only problem is the modern administrative state doesn't need (or want) any sort of executive guidance. FBI watches CNN and reads the WaPo so it knows without being told by Joe Biden (or even Jill) to play up the "Domestic Terrorist/Insurrectionist" threat and pretend Antifa doesn't exist.

Absolutely. No way they'd admit to either being wrong, or knowingly running an alzheimer's patient. My guess would be covid since it's a handy excuse, but stroke, falling down flight of stairs while shooting himself in the back of the head - all these things work. But, they're going to have to do it soon.

If Biden is like others I've observed, he's going to think he's large and in charge, and everybody else is plotting against him. That could really mess things up if he starts saying the quiet part out loud at a press conference. And, a shitload of fun.

It definitely wasn't a coincidence. Just like democracy is a train and you just get off at the station you want to, the Left used tenure that way as well. Sympathetic 60s leftists in education let the WU terrorists in after a respectful period. They then let all their friends in, scaring the Right into agreeing because 'intellectual tolerance'. Once they crowded the Right out, they shut the door behind them, using the tenure process to keep conservatives out.

After that, it was 'super-easy, barely an inconvenience' to poison the minds of the next two gens of college students, poop them out into the world, and let the virus infect and kill the host.

It's taking more than 20 years to get us back to 'normal'.

He killed almost 30,000 jobs on his first day and wiped out womens sports. He's going full socialist, full globalist, full Chinaphile and anti-military. Everything he denied he would do during the campaign, he's doing. Some of the Democrats are still supporting him out of their own pride. They don't want to believe they were duped- or they don't care. They just know he's not Trump, and if the world goes to shit in the meantime- so be it. My initial opinion is we need to think long and hard about whether Trump should be our next candidate, because at the moment I'm leaning on a new face like DeSantis. I don't want to fight the same battle twice. I want a new, more aggressive front.

They were caught off guard by the turnout Trump created, and so had to openly pump up votes at the last minute. The problem is that it weakened their position; they needed to have a "blue wave" so they could claim a complete repudiation of Trump. Instead, there are all sorts of justifications why voters elected more Republicans to congress but somehow didn't want to vote for Trump. Add in that McConnell had to blatantly sabotage the Georgia run-offs, and you have a very fragile situation.

So, Susan Rice? Yes, laughable but not as much so as the Tank to sane people here and to everyone abroad.

Oh, we're fighting this same battle twice for sure. Probably even more than that. I'm open to the idea of having someone other than Trump, but guess what - they'll need to be even trumpier than Trump for me to pay attention. What's more, however, is that anyone following Trump needs to bring the personnel as well. At this point, other than Grenell and a handful of others, we've got nobody that knows where the bodies are buried in the Deep State, coupled with the skills to do the exorcism. Until we get more people in gov't on our side - not happening.

Eh, like I said it's on my thinking list at the moment. Trump is larger than life. He has a large ego and is enigmatic. But that's what it took to save us the last four years. He was an easy target for the media and sometimes his own worst enemy. Plus he'll be older in four years- I just don't know how I feel about that. There is no question Trump is here to stay- either as a candidate or a force in the party. I am never going back to a Liz Cheney, pre-Trump, Bitch McConnell GOP. Nor are a lot of other people and the GOP better remember that- or die. But I think a fresh, no bullshit, well-credentialed, younger guy like DeSantis may bring us to the next level.

The Dem powers didn't want Biden. But they couldn't have Sanders because if they did, their mandarins would have split -- New York Wall Street money was not going to back Sanders. They tried to insert Bloomberg in there as an ultimate backstop, but his implosion left them only Biden.

Credentialed? I don't think most GOP curious voters care about that, and most are actively hostile. The best part of the Trump era is twofold:

1) He said all the right things
2) He did the right things.

True, he should have put Hillary in jail, but after the Epstein scandal really started blowing up he had bigger game to hunt. I'm not mad that he didn't accomplish as much legendary stuff as I would like. So a Governor will REALLY have to work to come close. People who bend like Pence, Nirendra, and Walker were and are never going to happen. DeSantis can prove himself- but the clock is ticking.

I've said this before, but Obama started out as one of those enigmatic personalities. The man truly had a lot of promise. If you heard him speak, he was just one of those guys who could capture you. He could have really been one of the greatest presidents, but in the end he chose poorly by leading solely with politics and a radical ideology. If he would have been crafty, like Clinton, who realized that with the Congress he could accomplish big things that a majority actually wanted, the sky would have been the limit.

promise you, you are speaking to someone who understands. If I meet a person in person, I can know in a few i minutes if they have Alzheimers.
Once you know it, it can't be unlearned. My dad lasted 12 years, which is pretty well acknowledged the length of the disease. We looked back ourselves and the signs were there. When they start asking you about kids you do not have, that is another one. When they see random people in the street and are sure they are their best friend, that is another. The sad part is it only goes down from there. Sorry you experienced that clutch, i guess that is something we will always share.

My 95-year old grandmother stopped knowing me. So one day I decided to walk her through the history. I asked her if she remembered her first grandson (me) with the red hair and who moved to Arizona and graduated from college and so on. She said yes to everything. Then I said, I am that boy, do recognize me? She said nothing, simply had the same small smile as when I started. That was a pretty gol-darned sad and painful day, I'll tell you.

417 I hope no one ever has to experience this horror. But I will give on tip, if only to maybe get people some medication early on. My dad loved his coffee. he would put it in the microwave for a minute or two then wander off. he would reheat a cup of coffee five times or ten times. Once he put in it there, it was forgotten. I don't like discussing this, to be honest it guts me. But there are early signs and the day we rid ourselves of this worst of diseases, we will all be better off. My dad did not make 80, and i loved him more than anyone in life other than my mom. But in some ways he did not make 70. he was still a person, and was loved, but this disease robs them, and everyone around them.

None of this matters the least, none of it should matter to anyone. All those "prestigious" "credentials" - including "combat vet" - mean nothing, all that matters is what the person is doing/would do in office. At least some of the current disaster stems from voters, especially GOP or "conservative" voters, mindlessly reacting to labels and credentials.

So far DeSantis has been fine, but appears incredible and outstanding mostly because the country is astonishingly bereft of adults or leaders. It's really amazing how empty of leaders or responsible adults the society is, across the board.

448 Rodrigo Borgia says (correctly) that incoming Presidents don't deliver a State of the Union Address their first year. After all what is Shufflin' Senescent Joe going to say--"the state of the union I inherited was a disaster because of the Bad Orange Man". So no State of the Union Address as such during the first year of a new President's term.

But every President since Ronny Reagan has delivered an address to a joint session of Congress on or before February 28 of his inaugural year. So Shufflin Joe has missed the boat.

450 I see that Kalashnikov now has a semi-auto 12 gauge shotgun with a 12" barrel, configured in such a way that it is technically a "pistol".

Seems like it might be useful for short-range freelance social work.

I believe Mossberg has one similar.

455 NBC News:

NEW: President Biden calls Texas and Mississippi decisions to end mask mandates "a big mistake" and criticizes what he views as "Neanderthal thinking" after CDC warned against complacency in the face of emerging coronavirus variants on Monday.

I know he has a broken brain, but that's rich coming from the same guy whose policy is let in all the sick illegal immigrants.

458 426 lol. Yeah, I am not going to be put in the position of defending Obama. What he did ended up dividing the nation and setting us on s self destructive course. But if you ever saw him speak in person, or talked to people who had been around him the man just attracted people. That doesn't mean underneath it all he wasn't shallow or ill intentioned. It just means he had the certain je nais sais quoi

459 Block all attempted to 25th Amendment Xoe Beijing. Make the Dems carry him all the way to the next primary so that it is obvious they have to move on from their own guy.
And then we cross lines and vote for him in the primary.

460 President Jill Biden, and if you think she is going peacefully into that good night for President Kamala you have another think coming.

461 The Biden omission that surprises me is the lack of a State of the Union speech. Doesn't the Constitution require them? Granted that it wouldn't tell us anything we don't already know, and of course that true president Trump went ahead and gave it himself.
