Good morning, kids. First, the tip jar situation at CJN has been sorted out. Thanks for your patience and contributions. Much appreciated. Now, on to the dreck...

Wednesday and there are a number of things that are off-pissing this morning, beyond what is an obvious internal Leftist purge to get rid of Angel of Death Cuomo, mostly on accusations of sex abuse of female staffers as well as the infinitely more serious - yet still infuriatingly underreported - revelations of his gross incompetence that led to the deaths of thousands of elderly nursing home residents. As serious as the latter aspect is, and we'll get to it in a moment, the current occupying junta, and its supporters in media, academia and crony corporations are going at warp speed to erase our borders and national identity while silencing or otherwise eliminating all voices of opposition and threats to their hold on power. But of course, with the Republican Party eager to do their bidding, who needs a Gestapo?

Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar (R-FL) suggests a Republican-led amnesty plan for millions of illegal aliens living in the United States could be unveiled "probably next week." In an interview with Fox Business Network's Larry Kudlow, Salazar said she is working on her own piece of legislation that would give "legality" to millions of illegal aliens.
"What would the GOP do? That's exactly what we're trying to put together and we're going to have something for you and for the viewers probably next week," Salazar said.
Despite Salazar's claims, former President Donald Trump had increased his support among Hispanic Americans between 2016 to 2020 from 28 percent to 32 percent after surging interior immigration enforcement and reducing overall legal immigration levels to boost U.S. wages and job opportunities for the lowest of wage-earners.
In fact, Trump won over more Hispanic Americans in the 2020 election than pro-amnesty Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) did in the 2008 presidential election. McCain, one of the co-sponsors of the "Gang of Eight" amnesty in 2013, won 31 percent against former President Obama's 67 percent.
Trump, running on the most pro-enforcement GOP platform in decades, last year boosted his support in deep blue majority-Hispanic communities that sit along the U.S.-Mexico border.
In 20 Texas counties that are on or near the border, Trump won eight compared to winning just three in 2016. Even more, support for Trump increased in all but one of the 20 counties.
Kudlow agreed with Salazar that the GOP should back amnesty, saying most illegal aliens have "been good citizens for a long time" and deserve "legality or citizenship or some combination of green cards."

Larry Kudlow. Larry Freaking Kudlow. The inanity of him calling foreign nationals who by definition broke our laws the moment they set foot on US soil and then continued to break our laws by their mere presence "good citizens" who "deserve" citizenship (wait, you said they were good citizens, Larry) as a prize for evading capture is galling in the extreme! This whole thing epitomizes the fecklessness and dare I say duplicitousness of the GOP since time immemorial. Accepting the Left's memes and trying to be a bargain basement Santa Claus to people who hate you and everything you stand for has not and will not win elections. Not that we will ever have legitimate elections again, from what I can see. By the way, Larry, 11 million illegal aliens in country was the estimate from 15 or 20 years ago. There are more than likely upwards of 30 million illegal aliens here in the nation formerly known as the United States of America. How Kudlow, who I thought knew better, could spew out this garbage is just infuriating to say the least.

The only course of action that needs to be done is to seal our borders, deport anyone and everyone living here illegally and put a moratorium on all legal immigration for a period of at least 15 years so that those here can thoroughly assimilate. But, of course, that ain't gonna happen now that we've been overthrown and our Maoist overlords are hell bent on airbrushing everyone from Abe Lincoln to Dr. Seuss to Jesus Christ (when not being turned into a robed Canaanite socialist to beat us up with) out of history.

Doing the Piss-Hockey circle-back to Cuomo, those who are out to get this mobbed up political blood-sucking tick could care less about the pawed boobs and butts of these dames, who have conveniently come forward only now, let alone the victims of what amounts to an act of biological terrorism. Cuomo is an obstacle to a person or persons who view the governor's mansion in Albany as a key chess piece. Letitia James? Titty Caca AOC? Chelsea Chubbel? Whatever the Machiavellian maneuvering, the fact remains that Cuomo has the blood of upwards of 15,000 stable yet highly vulnerable seniors on his hands by forcing people infected with the Chinese Lung AIDS to live with them. But Daniel Greenfield raises the point that no one dares bring up:

That's another reason why the Democrats want to pivot away from nursing home deaths.The Democrats and their media want to swap out Cuomo, in what they think is a safe seat, with someone more radical who can go all the way with their agenda. While they were willing to allow a little venting over nursing home deaths, they want to change the conversation to #MeToo...
...When 9 people died in Flint, not only did we spend years hearing about the water crisis, but former Governor Rick Snyder, and the former head of Health and Human Services were recently indicted on charges of involuntary manslaughter.
Is there any conceivable reason why Cuomo, Whitmer, Newsom, Murphy, and Wolf shouldn't be facing involuntary manslaughter charges? Apart from Snyder's party identification and theirs?
How can thousands of entirely foreseeable deaths not result in manslaughter charges?
In their eagerness to replace Cuomo, Democrats have opened a political pandora's box. It's time for the conservative movement to start listening to the local Republicans in California, Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania who have pursued investigations of their respective governors, and stop repeating lefty media narratives that won't put Cuomo behind bars.
Cuomo, Whitmer, Murphy, Newsom, and Wolf should have been charged by the DOJ last year. Since Biden and Garland will never let that happen, that can be the next stage of the fight.
Tens of thousands of grandfathers and grandmothers are dead. The Democrats killed them. The Biden [junta] is covering it up and protecting the perpetrators from facing justice. Including its own Assistant Health Secretary.

It is a letter from their President William O'Shaugnessy. It touts Cuomo's expertise in handling a 177 million dollar budget, what a great manager and skillful steward of the state he is, and how hard he works in the service of the people of NY.

I can apparently contact some woman who works for this organization, as they supplied her e-mail.

Glad to hear that the PR team is working so hard on Cuomo's behalf, but I'm not buying what they're putting forth.

Yeah, I get you in that regard, and largely agree. I look at the numbers mostly just for my amusement, because they are so obviously manipulated and distorted. That dramatic shift in the 'DUE TO' category just happened to catch my eye.

Pitkin County is one of the funniest. Their raw numbers of "cases" as very low, so they report everything as "cases per 100,000 population". For a population of less than 20,000 that magnifies the numbers about five-fold.

Completely agree. My doctor who is an Ivy League PhD/MD with a specialty in virology said, "yeah, maybe wait a year or so". They have no idea what the long term affects are, especially for certain groups.

It is certainly an individual decision based on your personal health situation. But I also have friends who were advised not to take it because factors like a reaction to the second Moderna shot could cause adverse reactions to their existing health issues.

Tmi3rd talked about it some on the drift compatible podcast some weeks back. He discussed getting his vaccination and I recall a bit of a discussion on pregnant women getting it. Maybe a guest post by him or another doctor on potential risk groups that might want to avoid getting these vaccines if you are thinking about signing up to do it.

If you're vaccinated, and the CDC/The Science (TM) is to be Believed, then you have a less than 10% chance of being able to catch the virus IF EXPOSED.

And, as we've already learned, the "asymptomatic" transmission cases are, in fact, quite rare, as the viral load and means of transmission (e.g. sneezes) are generally not enough to produce infection in another person.

So, for practical purposes, the "risk" to others of a vaccinated person going about (shockingly) UNMASKED is a sliver of a chance that they're able to get infected x the sliver of chance that they've recently been exposed to the virus x the sliver of a chance that they, if infected, would be infectious while asymptomatic.

So back of the envelope say the probable "risk level" of such a person is (conservatively) 10% risk of faulty immunization/antibody response x 5% chance recently exposed x 5% chance of asymptomatic transmission, you get roughly a 1 in 4000 chance that this UNMASKED vaccinated person next to you is capable of causing infection. And these are very conservative #s.

Listening to Robert Barnes said that Drumpf received some bad advice and crummy data from his campaign. One was that he spent too much time here in Ohio which was always in the bag for him. Sounding out ridiculous things is not something you teach an early reader. Real stuff is what kids need to learn to read. As I said, reading silly books to kids at 2 through 4 is fun. They love it and by doing so are set up to want to read.

I bought my son a small Match Box set of Thomas Engines that came with a book. At two he had memorized the book and would interrupt me if I didn't use the proper accent when reading to him. I would stop reading and he would complete the sentence, word for word. I was stunned. It got so bad that when the Thomas the Tank Engine catalog would arrive at the house that is what we would read. At around 5 he became interested in Power Rangers, but up until that time it was Thomas all day long.

I still thing Meade should have counter attacked on July 3. That being said, I agree with you in toto. Something weird about that war. Everyone says they used Napoleonic tactics when they did not. But the one thing they did keep from Jomini was the idea you could flat out destroy your opponent. The reality is, that almost never happened. Not possible. Meade and Hancock had been plugging holes in tge line with units that were available, without regard to higher command structure. While this was fine for static defense, it made offensive coordination difficult to impossible.

good point. i would offer that the moderna vaccine underwent trials last march, so we are hitting that year bench mark. i read an article about one of the initial volunteers. year into this, she is still good to go. so fingers crossed everything works well and i don't grow a second pecker. well maybe that wouldn't be so bad...
