Tiger will be hawking a Rolex hoverround any week now. What he won't be doing is playing golf for the next year, maybe never.

I had a simple fracture of the tibia/fibula just above the ankle, and it was 8 months before I tried my first swing. Tiger's right leg broke in more than one place, was a compound fracture (bone went thru the skin), and they haven't mentioned what damage his left leg took, but there was some.

Also, according to Golf Week, he has a prior 'dependency problem' with opiates. Also sex, iirc and I do. Sad.

Most older people in the region miss Tito. Sure, he was a dictator with secret police, but the country was prosperous, jobs and recreation were plentiful, etc. He was viewed as brilliant, playing off the US and Russians during the Cold War to get benefits from both. He managed to also treat the various ethnic groups equally, and maintain some kind of peace despite the tension.

Following his death, the Serbs attempted to consolidate federal power, which led to the war and breakup. Most people are much worse off now than they were in the old times, but at least are independent (in mostly ethno-states) and gradually improving economically. Bosnia is the only place that might still be completely fucked. Even in Kosovo, a new party (VV) won big in recent national elections. The previous governments were led by the old rebel leaders from the war, but this new group is mostly the younger generation trying to move forward (to a lefty democracy like Germany).

They just called up out of the blue and asked us if we wanted the vaccine, said yes and literally had an appointment the next day. No waiting except the 15 minutes after to see if there are any side effects. Very efficient for the VA.

We have a great group of kids who have worked hard all year and we will compete in all the events. My specialty is ornithology, fossils, and experimental design but the kids did all the work. Most US troop rotations in Kosovo are done with National Guard troops, and thankfully it's been very peaceful for many years here. There were a lot of blue helmet UN guys in the early days, but I don't think there are any now or for the recent past. It's mostly a NATO mission under the UN mandate. City spelling is Kamenica (Serb) or Kamenic�/Dardan� (Albanian).

197 Most US troop rotations in Kosovo are done with National Guard troops, and thankfully it's been very peaceful for many years here. There were a lot of blue helmet UN guys in the early days, but I don't think there are any now or for the recent past. It's mostly a NATO mission under the UN mandate. City spelling is Kamenica (Serb) or Kamenic (Albanian).

None of this is taught in school anymore. Even if you know history, you may be forced to repeat it, because of all the twatwaffles out there who don't.

Depends what you think is sustainable. Kosovo is about 90% ethnic Albanian (Muslim) and 7% Serb (orthodox). The Serbs are mostly clustered in their own little enclaves running parallel government supported by Serbia. Ultimately, I think one massive ethnic group and a few tiny minorities is better for long term stability than....

Bosnia, which is divided into three separate republics (1 Serb, 1 Bosnian/Muslim, and 1 Croatian/Catholic). They all gave grievances with each other, and I think need 2 of the 3 to agree for things to pass at the Federal level...hence the Federal dysfunction and negative prognosis.

Don't know about the Bosnian so much, but the Kosovo Muslims are VERY secular. Smoke, drink, music, don't normally go to mosque, etc. There are fundamentalist programs, supported by middle eastern governments, trying to change this, but the population as a whole wants a more western European secular future.

The budget recon in Obamacare moved about $500 B from Medicare (fake moved) and old people still loved their AARP.
