ONT : Schadenfreude Edition

Biden BS.jpg

I just don't get lefties. I know I don't usually do commentary on Fridays, but this has been bothering me for a while. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the hell out of it, but to me it would be like knowing someone who doesn't wipe their ass after they poop. I mean, how could you not? It's so bloody simple and obvious, and everyone else does it as a matter of course, but for some reason they never put the concept of toilet paper and bumhole together.

I'm talking of course about the wailing and gnashing of teeth on the left. If you follow any kind of social media, it's been so delicious to see. There's even a Twitter feed, @BidenLs, that collects them. They are furious that they haven't gotten stimulus checks, moreso when they realize that the government's vassals are going to get 15 times that amount:

Biden stimulus.png

That's $21,000 in case you weren't paying attention. For a family with both parents working for the government, that's roughly 2/3 of the annual median household income not to work. They're amazed that Biden (or whichever puppet master has his hand up Biden's butt) ordered air strikes in Syria. Guys, it wasn't Trump that was starting and expanding endless wars, that was the policy of the Obama administration, and you're surprised when Obama 2: Electric Boogaloo does the same thing? They're shocked at the casual racism coming from Joe “You have to have an accent to work at 7-11” Biden (Blacks can't use the internet). These guys have always been the racists. It's so obvious in almost everything they say and do, how can you not have seen it? The list goes on.

I just don't get it. Moths at street lamps show more cognitive ability than most leftists. They're baffled and dismayed when the same people do the same things that they've always done, over and over, simply because, for 5 minutes during an election campaign, they said they'd do something different this time. Pinky swear, just the tip, I promise. And the next time around they'll go right out and vote for them again. SMDH.

As I said, it's amusing to watch in a laughing-amongst-the-ruins kind of way, but I just don't get it.

Enough of that, on with the usual Friday memes and madness.

I have no idea who could compel them to do it, but every day it seems more and more like the Uniparty is running a master campaign to make nearly everyone in the country who aren't directly them hate their guts. And I was furious that no one had told me that it would happen every month thereafter, for the next 30 or so years, lol!

Though I am intrigued by the idea that it might be a drone that is sophisticated enough to follow you at a programmed distance and angle for soother recording.

271 The thing about strippers.....they are predators. But they're also women. And if you got charm, looks, game or whatever isn't just money, the will spend time with you. Because their job kinda sucks and if they find someone to pass the time with, they will.

But mostly predators. Not joining the He Man Woman Haters Club or anything, but if you poured that much liquor down someone's throat and vacuumed his wallet under basically any other circumstances I'm pretty sure you'd be thrown in jail. Act as DD for your buds at a strip club sometime; sit there stone cold sober and watch drunken bastards give their paychecks away to these chicks.

Fuckin' testosterone, man. Drive you to build skyscrapers, fly to the moon, explore every nook and cranny on Earth, computers, nanomachines, industrial farming, everything you can think of, it can drive you to achieve. Unfortunately, it also helps the Little Head drag you around and make you do stupid, stupid shit.

301 Seasoned citizens must mostly vote R. Still a lot of people are going to be pissed that Biden's compassion for the migrants is coming on the backs of senior citizens on medicare. This would be a good opportunity for the Rs to block the bill in the senate and explain that cutting medicare to fund high speed rail in Calif. and massive programs for illegal aliens is not going to happen.

So of course they'll refuse to block it, if they even can 'fillibuster' a vote on spending. They're so dumb they probably wont even all vote no. Oh well, I'm becoming ok with actual Let It Burn.

302 Hadrian, if you'll recall, I took a flight from Houston to Baltimore this past August, and drove Weird Dave's 32 ft. Class A RV to Tyler, TX. Also had a four door Toyota Tacoma hitched aft as a towed vehicle. The only curb I ran over was a deliberate choice in a rather tight parking area, and it was only the Tacoma that went two wheels over the curb. No harm done, as it was a chosen path, taken at dead-slow speed.

Point is, get some practice time behind the wheel of that thing during some real slow time in the traffic patterns. 7am on a Sunday morning, get it back home by 8. Do this a few times, and you'll really find it's not terribly difficult, and in time, (and care and patience), you'll become a safe, efficient and confident RV pilot in your own right.

Yes. During the deep freeze, I derived some peace of mind due to the fact that I have a camper that can keep us warm and our food cold if the power goes out. I had even bought a back-up propane tank because the local supplier was having a sale (full tank for less than the usual cost of just a refill).

It also has a solar panel and battery. Someday I may upgrade the battery but I'll let the current one wear out a bit first.

I have bought some good wine for under 10 dollars. Trader Joe's is good for finding good wine.
My friends husband works for vineyards and we get good wine. The discount is 50 percent if I buy it from them. We also trade. I have Chardonnay grapes and pinot. I get sick of pinot. I'll trade a case of pinot for a case of Sangiovese or Grenache. We made Syrah but it takes two years so It's not ready yet.

471 Rodney Strong is a solid Sonoma name. Alexander Valley is the east side of Sonoma, up against the hills that separate that region from Napa. Used to visit Sonoma area 2-3 times a year (and I lived on the east coast), back when it was really nice - slow, not expensive, no tasting fees (except at Ferrer, sparkling wines, so understandable).

Alexander Valley Vineyards was the place where the owner/winemaker was pouring in the tasting room, but had to go do something (he was alone at the place) so dragged us and the two young chick wine newbies with him back into the back. On the way back we passed a tank of just-pressed sauvignon blanc juice. He dispensed a bit for us to taste in plastic cups.

The two chicks said "this is fantastic! why don't you sell it like this?". My friend and I chuckled, as did the winemaker. "Because I can sell it for 10 times the price when it's made into wine, for one reason".

Sonoma got too good/popular/busy, changed a lot, though still much more relaxed than most of Napa. Anderson Valley, west of Sonoma across another set of hills, or the less trafficked parts of Central Coast near CaliGirl, you can still find the nice quiet informal thing.

Not quite, but when the runs came in, every hour after 8 you worked was double pay, so you stood there with frozen fingers and a really sharp knife and toughed it out as long as you could. Not a job for the intelligent or non-youth, by any stretch. Many a college semester was paid for in this manner.

Sharon (willow's apprentice)..well, you certainly started your wine tour on a better note that most. Aside from a wee glass of wine with the family at holidays, I think many of us drank down a bit too much Boone's Farm all at once as a "first adventure", before promptly puking it right back up. Wise choice of wine for that, actually, it tasted much the same on the return trip as the first.

Time was, one could keep several gallons of decent wine on hand, for not much more than (even then), pocket change.

Our first real central coast wine trip was only in 2007. Up in west side Paso, we stopped at Matt Trevisan's place, he was alone there. His old golden retriever slept on my wife's feet as Matt was racking wine from vats and explaining what we could taste that day. Kind of perfect. And he was/is a big deal in the Rhone-style part of the Paso scene.

Now? Haven't been in a few years. He built a posh new tasting facility it's either membership or a steep fee to taste.

Back in the '80s when the Helotes, TX Machine Gun Shoot was still a thing, I got to do a full mag-dump from a 12" bbl. H&K G-3. While full of Sound and Fury, it was certainly Signifying something more than Nothing. And was ridiculously easy to hold on target, that being the driver's door of some misbegotten '70s coupe at 50 yards. That said? I really don't see the point of a 12" .308 in any platform. Huge loss of muzzle velocity and gain of fireball and blast. Not to mention weapon and ammo weight penalties. If ever the 7.62x39 was to be considered a "perfect" design, it would be for a 12" bbl. Modern Sporting Rifle.

563 True story:

Stationed on Guam, we're down in town and we go to a strip mall. We're just wandering and looking. There's a "big" store on one end, then smaller stores down to the corner of the "L" and down the other leg. We wander out of the larger store to check out the other stores, and there's a sign telling us what we'll find.

Now, this place had seen better days. It probably hasn't recovered from Typhoon Paka. The sign shows indications of that. Particularly what caught my attention was the letters that had fallen off the one title, leaving behind the "A-1 HOE STO".

611 My worst hangover ever was after I drank 2 bottles of white wine at a friend's wedding. I don't remember much of anything, especially why I was pounding white wine of all things while there was a perfectly serviceable bar. Anyway, I woke up on the bedroom floor, with someone putting a jackhammer on top of my skull, (probably) dangerously dehydrated, and a horrible burning acid reflux. Good times!

Haven't taken a sip of the stuff since.

653 A bit of Gallows Logic: the Dems are not acting like they came to power on a wave of popular support- they are acting like they stole an election. If they had come to power on the backs of a huge popular uprising (81 million votes) wouldn't they be making sure that those voters were satisfied? That way in 2022 when they promised $6000 and in 2024 $1 Million (Inflation) people would believe them?

But no. They are paying off their deep state functionaries and pushing deeply unpopular fringe constituencies. In short, acting like they do not need anyone's vote anymore- except the eternal bureaucracy.

664 #40 Oglaf didn't "get gay"... I suspect that whoever makes that comic is intentionally rotating the sex. Sometimes it shows two men, sometimes a man and a woman, sometimes two women, etc. They could very well be rolling dice to decide how to do it.

Sex or not, gay or not, it's usually funny and at times brilliant. Here's a few I really like; these are not sex-related at all:

https://www.oglaf.com/puddleduck/

https://www.oglaf.com/rangerron/

And the "archive" page actually labels each comic as to whether it is "safe" or not. So if you want to avoid any gay sex ones, you can just avoid all the sex ones.
