The Morning Report - 2/26/21 [J.J. Sefton]

klingbide.jpg

Good morning, kids. The weekend is here and, surprise! America is back, baby. That is, back to sending our troops into harm's way in order to sate the bloodlust of the military industrial complex and their profiteers in the DC junta, regardless to the consequences to our national interest or if our security is even threatened in the first place.

Biden ordered the strikes against facilities near Syria's border with Iraq that the militias use. The Department of Defense (DOD) statement did not specify whether the strikes inflicted casualties beyond the structures. Iranian-backed militias fired rockets at both the U.S. embassy in Baghdad and another U.S. base in Iraq in recent weeks.

"At [so-called quote-uquote] 'President' Biden's direction, U.S. military forces earlier this evening conducted airstrikes against infrastructure utilized by Iranian-backed militant groups in eastern Syria. These strikes were authorized in response to recent attacks against American and Coalition personnel in Iraq, and to ongoing threats to those personnel," the Department of Defense announced Thursday night."

I ain't no Henry Kissinger, but why in the world if I were the quote-unquote so-called 'president' (nudge nudge wink wink) would I attack the forces of a nation that I am desperately trying to appease by once again doing everything in my power to allow it to manufacture a nuclear weapons arsenal? Could it have something to do perhaps with the fact that at least half of this country is still seething that a national election was stolen? That their livelihoods were destroyed on the pretext of a virus that is now provably marginally more lethal than seasonal flu? That voices of dissent and protest have been silenced and persecuted while the majority of citizens are blood-libeled as unreconstructed, evil subhuman racist traitors and insurrectionists? That our borders are about to be erased as tens of millions of illiterate foreign peasants are set to become first class citizens while the rest of us are relegated to a figurative and possibly literal gulag? That if our children survive nine months in the womb without being sacrificed to Ba'al, Huitzilopochtli and Pazuzu so that their organs can be harvested, or avoid surgical transformation from Boris Karloff into Elsa Lanchester are then brainwashed into hating their heritage, their parents and themselves?

Nah, that's Q-Anon (whatever that is), tinfoil hat, crazy conspiracy talk, that is. Sheesh. One has to wonder if the average Iranian terrorist knows what he may be up against.

The U.S. Navy's reading list for officers and sailors includes books exploring issues in anti-racism and gender politics, potentially overshadowing traditional education in military history and strategy.

Four of the 16 books listed under a section dedicated to personal and leadership development discuss topics such as anti-racism, the criminal justice system, and gender politics. Their titles include Ibram X. Kendi's bestselling How to Be an Antiracist, The New Jim Crow, Sexual Minorities and Politics, and Fed Up: Emotional Labor, Women, and the Way Forward. Kendi's book in particular has garnered significant controversy, with many of its ideas spreading from college campuses to public health institutions and public sector unions.

The 4 books mark a major departure from the other 33 books on the list, which focus on the history of the Navy and naval planning.

Remember that mathematics is racist, which might put artillerymen or the fire control officers on board a warship in a bit of pickle when it comes time to plotting a solution. Then again, they just plug it into the computer... which no doubt will have been programmed by someone who underwent the same training that drummed into his/her/xer head that 2+2 = 5.

Now that transsexuals are allowed to openly serve, here's hoping they get sent right in where it's hot so that the Farsis can get a good long look and thank their lucky Mecca space rock they're facing off against Corporal Klinger and not a bitter-clinger purged long ago from the ranks.

Old and Busted: Lock and Load.
New Hotness: Tuck and Mince.

Be sure to scan all the headlines as there are a number of things of import happening now including the push for the minimum wage increase being nixed in the Senate bill by the parliamentarian, who no doubt will soon get a visit from his local BLaM-tifa welcome wagon.

Have a great weekend.

38 To answer your question, JJ, "yes." I had thought the Deep State would conduct a False Flag domestic terror attack (and may yet), blame it on White Supremacists, and respond accordingly. The "insurrection" gave them a bit of this, and the less crazy elements may have surmised most would realize the terror came out of D.C. and would respond accordingly themselves. So we got the equivalent of billion dollar aspirin attack to make Liz Cheney's degenerate snatch cum.

Never attended one of them. So this should be taken with a huge grain a salt and then some more grains of salt to be sure. Probably the two most esteemed schools there are Vanderbilt and VA. I know VA is lefty as most of them are. I can't really say about Vanderbilt because I know next to nothing about it. If you are going for the lest lefty school, my guess would be Virginia Tech. But that is only a guess.

Right now I am down to Texas AM and Hillsdale. I even have my questions about AM as so much has changed over the years.

Out of that list, I will say Virginia Tech.
Georgia Tech is at least as good a school for engineering, but the location in Atlanta, well, I wouldn't want MY daughter there. VT is way out away from everything. Vanderbilt is probably #2 on that list IMO but I think it is private and not a state school? Probably pricy.

It really comes down to this...
Republican Presidents are forced to pick cyphers who we have to hope and pray are conservative, track record and results are less than 50/50.

Democrats are allowed to pick out and proud apparatchiks.

Such as the general counsel of the ACLU and a lawyer who worked on SCOAMF Care, track record and results are 100pct.

Until that dynamic changes, we'll continue to get dick holes like Roberts, ACB and Kav.

Also there is now a non-zero pct chance that the Meat Puppet's handlers will get to replace Clarence Thomas.

That's usually a sign that the actor left the show on really bad terms.

If someone leaves a show on good terms (say, the actor needs to take some time off to go do a movie or something), their character "goes to college" or "gets a job in Cleveland" or something else that leaves the possibility of a return open.

If the actor leaves on bad terms, the character dies. The nastier the breakup, the more horrific the death.

I still haven't found the specific episode I am looking for, but the net tells me it was a discussion between Sydney the psychiatrist and Klinger. It did happen. They flat out told him if he admitted he was gay, he would be out. He was never going to do that. A very different time I suppose, but you couldn't be gay and serve then. 310 Mandatory reading lists have no business in our military!

Posted by: Ol' Country Boy at February 26, 2021 08:57 AM (Zd+Sa)

back in the day, the suggested reading lists were pretty good. Even those who did not serve would check out the Commandant's suggested reading list and the Army suggested reading list. Usually the first book recommended, for privates, was "A Message to Garcia". In the end, the real problem is what has become of our culture and even the military. That is the real issue and God if I know how to fix it.

397 Only an idiot would cite the market as proof the Biden economic moves are being welcomed.

The stock market is up because Congress keeps sending out checks and, especially, because the Fed is flooding the economy with dollars. Volatility of money is down and they are trying to make up for it by adding reserves.

At some point, and probably this is the last such bill, Congress stops passing more "stimulus" and the Fed starts worrying about inflation, so it starts withdrawing reserves. Take a look a graph of the 10 year Treasury and you see it already probably happening. Don't be in the market when the Fed gets serious and really pull the rug out from under.

405 The trans will never see combat, in fact, they won't have any responsibilities or be required to do even the basic work requirements. From personal experience: a trans airman, taking hrt did not have to perform the basic requirements for their job b/c the rules would not allow them on the plane due to the treatments they were undergoing. The airman knew this in advance of enlistment, which is why he chose that job. He spent his days hanging out and playing video games, while the AF picked up the tab for his treatments.

The Mormon people (LDS, as their leaders say they like to be called now) are among the country's leading citizens in terms of patriotism, morality, lawfulness, etc.

It's the way their church compels them to treat apostates (yes, they call them apostates) that goes against the grain of civility.

Imagine being excluded from family, friends, society simply because you choose a faith other than the one your parents did.

422 You've all got the wrong take on the Syrian air strikes.

Iran had some infrastructure in Syria that needed to be rebuilt. They got in touch with Biden and asked for an air strike to demolish the facilities. Iran cleared their people out in advance, and Joe leveled the structures for them.

"The operation sends an unambiguous message: President Biden will act to protect American and Coalition personnel" is a message for the US media; Iran, on the other hand, is grateful for the assistance.
