The Morning Rant: Minimalist Edition

punk-monkey.jpg

When Jeff Sessions, the amiable coward, recused himself from the Special Counsel Investigation did anyone expect anything other than a hyper-partisan hack job? Robert Mueller was a political hatchet man, completely untethered to the rule of law, so a thundering condemnation of President Trump and a recommendation that charges be filed against him seemed to be baked into that cake.

But it was not to be...even Mueller couldn't invent and obfuscate and massage and coerce evidence of...anything. So the frothing fury of the Democrat Media ComplexTM was confined to loud "Yeah..Buts!"

Fast forward to the next great show trial of a post-rule-of-law America, complete with hysterical comparisons and even more hysterical claims of a vast but obviously invisible right-wing army just waiting for its chance to declare itself and march on Washington.

Garland Will Make January 6 Investigation His Priority

The Oklahoma City bombing bears no comparison to what happened at the Capitol building on January 6. To suggest so not only is an historical false equivalence but a heartless diminution of the suffering and loss McVeigh and his co-conspirators, Terry Nichols and Michael Fortier, inflicted that day—a painful affront to the families left behind.

But during his confirmation hearing Monday, Merrick Garland, Joe Biden’s nominee for attorney general, insisted the current political climate is worse than the divisive climate leading up to McVeigh’s mass murder nearly 26 years ago.

“We are facing a more dangerous period than we faced in Oklahoma City,” Garland told Senator Richard Durbin (D-Ill.). “From what I have seen . . . it looks like an extremely aggressive and perfectly appropriate beginning to an investigation all across the country in the same way our regional investigation was but many, many times more.”

He continued. “I can assure you this will be my first priority and my first briefing.”

This is the ultimate masturbatory fantasy of the Deep State; a far-ranging investigation that will tar its enemies with the brush of fanaticism and violence. Its primary target is of course President Trump, but their witch hunt was never just about him. Its purpose is to drive from the public square any figure that still clings to those quaint notions of freedom and liberty and autonomy upon which American Exceptionalism is based.

But there was no smoking gun in the Russia Investigation, and in fact there was no gun at all. And from a dispassionate examination of the events of January 6th, one can make a rational argument that contrary to the breathless claims of the Democrat Media Complex, almost no violence was done except to the egos of the self-proclaimed royalty of our legislative branch. Far from being an insurrection, it was mostly a big crowd, possibly egged on by provocateurs from the Far Left, who walked unimpeded into a building that they own!

And the only violence was the murder of one of the protesters by a yet-to-be-named agent of the state.

Is this the stuff from which successful witch hunts investigations are made? I'm not so sure.

++++
Yes. The *only* reason it didn't work against Trump is that he didn't back down and had the resources to not back down. There are others who disrupt a witch hunt like Trump did (Rush could have, for example), but most cannot when the full might of corrupt state bears down on them. The people they'll be going after now will be ground into dust by their machinations.

The "January 6th" stuff is pure Narrative. It allows the left to froth for millions of hours of airtime over the next two years and keep conservatives on constant defense, while Democrats set about with all their real business behind the scenes and under cover of night.

And of course it's pretext for whatever they plan to do next. January 6th - take the guns. January 6th - spy on conservatives. January 6th - bohica.

After the events of the Kristallnacht
in 1938, the federation stopped its activities and advised its members,
almost 40,000, to emigrate from Germany. The veterans who remained in
Germany, also initially released after arrests during the Kristallnacht,
received no special treatment after this, being deported to
concentration camps and murdered like other Jewish German citizens.

85 For decades people have been screaming about how warped and distorted our "justice" system is, but it's been generally about too many black men in prison and all that, so it tended to be ignored by conservatives. One of the most important developments in 2020/2021 has been the red pilling of conservatives regarding how the Kops and the courts have been corrupted and useless, when it comes to interpreting and enforcing our laws.

Part of the problem is that the folks doing the screaming before had a very narrow view of the problem. I'm not sure anybody really understood just how far gone the entire thing was until now. Unfortunately that's the one and only conclusion that the public school curriculum provides. A cynic such as myself might conclude that academia, which always had a hard-on for authoritarian systems, is afraid that a more detailed analysis of what actually happened during Weimar and the mid 1930s would reflect poorly on their Soviet spiritual liege. It also dovetails nicely with the "we exist to support Israel" geopolitical philosophy espoused by neocons and some of the more Machiavellian Jewish special-interest groups.

Second, fine. Do something. Do you have a suggestion? Honest question. Having a few thousand people stand outside the Capitol prompted an overreaction from the tyranny side of the equation, after all. Is that not something?

JJ pointed out that America doesn't handle decentralized opponents very well. Assymetric warfare doesn't usually take the adversary's ROE... Hard for a decentralized force to take the ROE of a centralized force...

Proud-Boys, Oathkeepers, III percenters etc. are all FAR-RIGHT but in reality they are just normal Americans who believe in the Rule of Law and the Constitution.
Ultimately we are now enemies of the Coup. There is no Republic anymore. How long will the charade continue? Do we pretend that 2022 matters? are we even going to pretend that 2024 will be a free and fair election?

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT

This November, Pennsylvania will vote for its next state Supreme Court Justice.

If we do not win this seat, dems will have a 6-1 majority.

I look at it like I see it. There will be a constant train of pandemics that will restrict everyone's movements. There will be no chances of patriotic groups taking up arms because of intensified surveillance systems and a network of paid snitches.

Many will cry that smoking pot is a right and will demand free weed, and the government will be more than happy to oblige with all the drugs people wish to have.

They can't assert control everywhere all the time. Not even some of the time. For much of this foolishness, their remit doesn't extend any farther than DC and maybe a handful of metropolitan areas.

Refuse to call a man a woman. Lose your firearms in a tragic canoe accident. Quit subsidizing their woke products. In most of the country, no one is going to do anything to you.

The empire based on fictions cannot persist forever; reality has a way of intervening. Unfortunately, I am afraid there are some hard times coming, and I am afraid there will be one or more international reminders of the truism that nations have interests. But we will come out of this.

267 The pointless application of pre-WWII regarding a defunct totalitarian ideology to today's situation is not on point.

Demonization of political opponents is on point and that is irrespective of race, religion, national origin, etc. Because the demonization is directed toward differential treatment under 'law' based on some classification adopted by a polity--currently it is leftism versus all others and bears more resemblance to Marxism rather than Nazism. That being said, elites coopted economic Marxism and turned it into cultural Marxism which coincidentally allows the rich 'woke' to keep their money by directing the requisite hatred toward people that are 'unwoke'--eg. the productive classes of society regardless of race, ethnicity, etc. Win win for them, the woke rich get to keep their money and keep ruling power for themselves using government to conceal their viciousness.

The veneer of Marxist cultural theory simply masks the traditional oligarchy that seeks to perpetuate its power without the inconvenience of meaningful elections.

So the Supreme Court rules that there is nothing unconstitutional about the state just looking around in a private citizen's papers and records to see what they can find, despite the 4th Amendment specifically saying a warrant is needed that states what is being sought and why.m

It has been pointed out many times before that for a businessman with multiple properties and interests, like Trump, tax returns are massive documents, well over 1000 pages, worked out over the fiscal year in multiple meetings between Trump's accountants and attorneys, and their counterparts at the IRS. If there were something illegal in there, the IRS, which does not like him, would have already gone after it. In fact anything mildly embarrassing would already have been leaked.

Any crime found will be fabricated. Count on it.

And if they go after a former President this way, they'll go after us. What do these mutants tell themselves, this is how they got Capone?

But, the whipping up of the rest of the populace against the laughable white supremacy bogeyman doesn't seem to be working right now--there is enough information flow that people notice this and resent the falseness of it. The bootlickers of the woke elite are clumsy and heavy handed in their implementation such as the Coke PR disaster and increasingly COVID karen policies are failing bit by bit.

One thing that the US does have going for it is substantial governance over day to day issues rests with the state and local governments and the sheer number of counties for example make it difficult to seize and consolidate power immediately. We shall see.

The next step here is the privatization of oppression, where we get more public lists and databases of political badthinkers, whereupon employers and rioters/looters are expected to sort the problem out for us.

And then in some areas you'll get a rash of cops showing up and shooting people defending their homes; hence, no trials.

There isn't some deeper meaning that you were supposed to 'get' like an allegory for this or that or a heavy handed admonition regarding some obscure socio-political issue. 353 Caesar, You are correct on the Sov. Union and the almost simultaneous Mexican Revolution. The reason is that most of the population in these countries saw their living standards improve from that of the Czar's time until about the 1970's and 80's. Authoritarian regimes persist longer where the improvement in the average citizen's life can be seen regarding economic improvement, personal safety, and a chance for their children to do better than themselves.

Regimes that do not do that collapse, often in a matter of months. For example, see the short lived Bela Kun regime in Hungary.

The horde is good people but this is for the most part - for now - the wrong community to look for that kind of activity. What we are seeing is the sort of impetus to change that, but a lot of people were caught flat footed.

There are people who saw the writing on the wall years ago and have spent a long time furiously working before it's time for pencils-down. Very little of that sort of thing is fodder for frank discussion here.

364 National Guard permanently deployed in DC will be the first step. If they aren't gone soon, and I am talking a couple of weeks at most, they will be there long term and that is not good for the Country.

There's a reason they are there. The government is planning to do something that they know they need saving from.

After I moved back after Katrina, I was living in a house with virtually no furniture. Still couldn't find the cat.

Posted by: sniffybigtoe at February 23, 2021 12:00 PM (xfb67)

While visiting my son I heard cat meowing, it seemed, in the bedroom. He has no cat. People though I was hearing things until we found a cat turd in the breakfast room. After a exhaustive search we found it hiding behind the dryer in the laundry room. Turns out it was a neighbors cat and had been missing for two days.

That is my concern, that they have flooded the city with soldiers and walled it off, then said they're staying until a certain time. It feels a lot like they're preparing to do something they know will generate a violent reaction.

But it could just be their paranoia that right wing crazies are everywhere and conspiracy theories going around that has them acting like idiots. I don't have a crystal ball.

Worse, Tax law is so complicated that you can call the IRS with a question, and if you ask different agents, get different answers.

And this guy is going after Trump under New York Law... when often he was operating under the laws in different States, and different COUNTRIES.

while Chris Tucker shrieks in his ear.

The movie where he's paired with Anthony Hopkins as the hitherto unknown twin brother of someone who was undercover for the CIA is unbearable.

Dr. Seuss said it best - "I do not like this one so well. All he does is yell, yell, yell."

371 I made the mistake on consulting the wikitards on Merrick Garland and they said the refusal of the Senate to consider that turd for the supreme court was unprecedented. I'm pretty sure Ol' Yeller said it had happened before and probably made specific references but I can't remember what it was. Anyone know?

Things go out of stock pretty quickly if there's any real popularity to the titles. You should be good. They're not Wes Anderson, pretty much.

Plus, you should have hit the free shipping threshold.

375 It might be a good indicator, that Naomi Wolf has been out (for months really) decrying the totalitarian state. .... JJ linked it this morning ... she was on with Tucker. --

Bernie and Trump were "outsider" candidates really, even though Bernie was just nuts, it was still an appeal from leftists against the DeepState as much as a demand for socialism (imo). They got kicked to the curb by Hillary, then Biden ... two of the most well known icons of DC corruption and self dealing. -- Further, the landslide victory for Trump (seems likely) indicates many knew Biden is just the DC Cartel choice. ...

The People are swept up in Covid and shutdowns, but maybe Naomi signals a move toward real America wanting their government back from the Fascists? ... (Garland and the rest will try to drive the wedge of hate only against one side though, to keep people divided on "ideology", when it is really just about corruption)

379 He is correct about the divisiveness today. back in OK city days, it was driven by Democrats running the ATF and DOJ removing the rights from US citizens. Same today with the Jan 6th protestors. some trespassed, all are having their right to assemble removed by DEMOCRATS. Democrats in power is the problem. Even during Trump, enough remained to gum up all progress. Now we got the attack of BITEME

Both films have some intriguing ways to exploit central control. If probably got Malcom his role in Clockwork Orange. I know, for some odd reason, I got laid after seeing it in a theater. Can't for the life of me see what turned her on, but I didn't complain.

381 Interesting Bit of Info.
Of the 53Million home loans in the US about 5% of them are in Active Forbearance. The first of 204,000 loans that haven't been paid come due in March. The pandemic measures have pushed out repercussions but the loans will eventually come due and either require refinancing or require foreclosure. However, with Foreclosures halted this will frustrate the market causing both rates and home prices to rise. The problems will likely exacerbate throughout the year.
Manufactured Crisis number one.

against Trump folks.

"Immaculee Ilibagiza, who survived that genocide, talks about the bad guys' playbook used against the Tutsis in "Left to Tell." "

Happens to be $1.99 on Kindle today, so I snagged it. Thanks for the mention, callsign claymore.
