A Cover of John Mellencamp's 'Jack and Diane' With Most of the Lyrics Sung As 'Sucking on a Chili Dog' Boomer Anthems : Nights In White Satin. Is this the next cultural battle. If the toilet paper hanging war wasn't bad enough, now there is the trash bag installation war. Troll Level Status: Master. Vegan protest trolled by young man eating KFC. Hilarious. I have a trail camera. I've never thought of doing this. And I probably won't. What happens to a pizza left in the woods? Who does not love pizza? No one that we know, and if you know someone who hates it, well, they are not normal. Hey, we're just saying. Now, there have been plenty of recorded instances of animals scarfing down pizza too. However, did you ever stop to think what would happen if you left a pizza unguarded in the woods? Probably not, but the guy behind AceVlogs did. He sets up a couple trail cameras and then proceeds to test three different types of pizza left in the forest. FEBRUARY 18--A man who was spotted pleasuring himself inside a Kia in a Walmart parking lot told Florida cops that he was “lonely” because his former girlfriend was in Colorado, according to an arrest report. Police were summoned yesterday afternoon to a Walmart in Vero Beach by a woman who reported that a man who was parked next to her was masturbating while behind the wheel of a car that had its driver’s side window open. Upon arriving at the parking lot, cops stopped a Kia with out-of-state plates and asked the driver to exit the vehicle. When Kyle Weiss, 26, stepped out of his car, there was little doubt he was the suspect being sought: “I noticed that he had an obvious erection protruding in his shorts,” a cop reported. Weiss initially denied exposing himself, and claimed that he was at the retailer “as a food shopper,” adding that “his business is like Uber Eats, buying food and delivering it to customers.” I believe it is "Price Rollbacks" not pants rollback. Now that I've been Horde-membered, I'd like to make a suggestion. Wouldn't it be awesome if ace simply ignored Twitter for a week or two.
We'd miss all the drama from the NeverTrumpers, of course, but that drama is nothing more than them being stabbed in the back. And being startled that they never expected it. Let's ignore the dying screams of the NeverTrumpers, whether from the Lincoln Project, or Fox News, or wherever they come from. Let them die in the silence they sought. Fake Biden "Wins Praise."
I notice they perfected this formulation under Trump. So Trump could do something that was 99% popular and awesome but by headlining an article and populating it with a few muh tweets, they could say Trump "Draws Criticism". And still be telling the truth, for as much as they really care about that. But mostly it's just a lesson in how to set a Narrative. Posted by: ... at February 20, 2021 09:44 PM (uEbPt) 31

When we had the power outage here, we were using the wood stove a lot to stay less than freezing in the house, but ran out of wood. A run to the store revealed that, well, pretty much everyone else in the city was in the same state.
All that was left in the wood section of any store was one place, with a big stack of pressed logs from KFC promising the smell of the Colonels' herbs and spices when you burned them. Strangely no one wanted that in their house, let alone at 9 bucks a package of 3 logs. Speaking of consoles in cars, old joke:
A husband and wife were driving down the road, when the wife spotted an obviously young and in love couple heading down the road, with the young lady snuggled up close to her guy who had his arm around her as he drove. The woman sighed, looked at her husband, and said, "Remember when we used to do that?" The husband turned his attention from the road, looked at his wife, and said, "I haven't moved." In honor of The Saturday Evening Joke!
I am at my local pub doing what you do at a local pub (and inside for for the first time a year, I feel like I am being respected for being house broken). Anyhoo...they have a family bathroom (I know, what they hell, when did pubs start having family bathrooms?) and it has a chalkboard full of all kinds of non family type graffiti (I know, who has a family bathroom with a chalkboard full none family friendly graffiti?). There was one comment relevant to to the joke and the spirit of families, especially really new ones. Behold the greatest comment ever from the family chalkboard in the family restroom at my local pub where I am doing what you do at a local pub: "Family bathrooms are so for making families." KFC's big problem is that you can go down to the supermarket and get an entire roasted chicken for like three bucks and KFC wants eleven dollars for a leg. Those herbs and spices and crispy coating are not enough to make up for the cost.

Yeah you definitely can't do the car identifying game anymore. They're all designed in a wind tunnel which means no difference in design. I remember when I was living at my apartment and walking by three cars from different manufacturers all lined up. It was a Ford a Toyota and maybe a Chrysler. They were identical in their lines and the slope of their hood through the windshield. Only variation was in the headlight and grill shaping.

Most old cars are crap. I particularly liked the segment they did on Top Gear where they took a pretty ordinary modern sedan and raced it against a 1980s top end Ferrari.
The Ferrari did not do well, it just couldn't corner as well, had less pickup, I mean it was faster overall but on their track it was just left behind. Well finally got in The Cold Blue who's delivery had been delayed by the extreme cold weather.
One of the surviving 8th AF veterans opens by singing his adaptation of a popular song. People waiting for the arrival of Memphis Belle on her war bond tour. We are then treated to seeing the bomber do a low flyover before landing. Vets talking of fighting the cold, taking their mask off and hitting it to break the ice that formed inside. Of them wanting fresh eggs but knowing being served eggs sunny side up meant this mission was going to be rough. Bailing out of a crippled Fortress and one making it to the ground only to be killed by pitchforks. Since the original footage was shot on 16mm cameras without sound, sound had to be added. All B-17 sounds were recorded on the now destroyed B-17G Nine-O-Nine. The restorers had to remove a defect that was caused by the original film development, blue lines that was in every scene. The colors really pop now, no longer is everything muddy and muted. Dame Satan is really rocking the red. In Der Fuhrer's Face the flowers are now Disney bright. Honestly could have killed ourselves if not for the alcohol. Once in a lifetime event... having the Harbor Patrol pay you a visit. At your house. While on the phone with your parents. Explaining why there's no "there there." Yea, that. I miss that place. Posted by: Martini Farmer - Now a Pirate, Hoisting the Black Flag at February 20, 2021 10:29 PM (3H9h1) 185

I drove an '83 Nissan Sentra automatic across country, L.A. - D.C., several times in the late 80's. It was a lot of fun despite being cramped (all my stuff) and not having a lot of power (overheated in Utah). But the terrain and the endless sky and listening to local traffic as I approached metro areas, and weather, and farm reports, were great.

Posted by: ALH, Trump Won at February 20, 2021 09:56 PM (oUcR5) Up to mid 90s I think I'd say crispy. Because it was this massive yummy crispy structure encasing chicken meat. But they changed their recipe and since then not as much crisp and original tastes better. -------- Same here, used to like crispy, but somewhere in the past 20 years the recipe changed, and not for the better. The grilled is better for me, but if I wanted that I could get rotisserie chicken from grocery deli. Popeyes and Jockos own the crispy batter chicken for me these days. There's got to be somebody (on his staff) who pays attention to such things, going to Cancun sounds good, it really does, but a Senator should know better - simply because perception is reality, coupled with the fact that the "media" is going to hit you over the head with stuff like that 24/7. That's what they do, after all.

Honestly, Chi-Town, you don't actually BELIEVE the numbers on CCP flu they put out, do you? The CCP flu count includes Chicago gangbangers with two to the back of the head (yes, true) and other nonsense. Auto crashes, drownings, other stuff. Oh, and remember, every "Covid" patient in the hospital got that hospital some sweet, sweet FedGov money. If the hospital got them on a respirator because of "Covid", they got a cool $13,000 extra. At least that was in the early days. DNK if the FedGov shut down that money-printing machine. And yes, seasonal flu and pneumonia deaths were down 95%+ in 2020. As if by magic. Connect these dots. There's something inside, that we need so much. The sight of a touch, or the scent of a sound, Or the strength of an oak, with roots, deep in the ground. The wonder of flowers, to be covered, and then to burst up, Through tarmac, to the sun again, or to fly to the sun, Without burning a wing, to lie in a meadow, And hear the grass sing. To have all these things, In our memories hoard, and to use them, To help us, to find the lost chord... The other thing to recall about Covid stats is that plenty are not based on actual lab tests at all. The stats encompass lab diagnosed and probable cases. The criteria for deciding one had Covid are pretty loose. Probable cases are identified in part on the basis of clinical symptoms that would be present in a wide variety of illnesses. I'm reading this right off of the CDC website. Like most of the data on anything related to Covid, it's more complicated and uncertain than is widely acknowledged.

Posted by: Evasiveboat42 at February 21, 2021 12:07 AM (Rz2Nc) Moorage in the Puget Sound area is changing because the mix of boats is changing. During the '60's - 70's, a lot of families boated around Puget Sound, in boats from the low 20' size to boats up to maybe 36'. For a middle to upper middle class family, it was affordable. In the last 15 years, certainly the last 10, many of the older moorage docks, designed for older length boats mentioned above, are being torn out, and larger berths are being added. Boating (non-towable boats) has become crazy expensive, and the six-figure salaries not beginning with a 1 are needed. In Tacoma's Hylebos waterway for instance, a new marina is replacing an old one. The slips are 50' up to 60', the work is not near being done, and I was told last week they are all spoken for already. Posted by: LeftCoast Dawg at February 21, 2021 12:16 AM (sy5kK) 452

People always say Bud is horrible and American beers suck. Forget that we are 90 percent of the micro beer world, just look at the macros. If you look at most countries, their "national beers" are much worse. Sure there are a few exceptions, but what is the national beer of Germany or Belgium? Do they even have national beers?
I have tried the most common beers in Japan, South Korea, Russia, China, Spain, Canada, Central America, etc. They are almost all adjunct lagers and most of them are wore than Bud or Coors by a quantifiable level. Posted by: Quint at February 21, 2021 12:53 AM (Veofh) 471

Peroni is ok but truthfully it is no better than a generic American macro such as Bud or Coors. The problem is getting them fresh, that will always be an issue. One beer I like that is cheap is Red Stripe. It is not world changing but it has a good flavor that goes with many foods. Another more obscure recco is Beer Lao from Laos. The biggest ripoff in the "imported" beer market, is the number of brands that once used to be a genuine product of their Country of Origin, but are now a pale shadow of their actual self. Because they've now brewed under license by Molson's of Canada, Lone Star or Pearl Brewery in San Antonio, or various Budweiser breweries making and selling former independent microbrews.

they brought back the original recipe five or six years ago as I recall. Everyone said it was a very good beer but i guess it didn't take hold as so much of the macro business is about advertising. I recall as a kid riding with my trucker relative to pick up a haul from the Schlitz brewery in Longview. That was one of the best times of my life. AOP. I have a huge love for H&R revolvers. Not "finished" as nicely as a S&W or Colt, but still, very good machining and bluing. Good fit and assembly, always. Where they seemed weak, is that they never mastered the lockwork geometries that made the two premium brands, the PREMIUM brands. The H&R will always feel "less refined" in operation, even though it's the equal in steels, machining and fitment.
But H&R sure did make some very, very neat and interesting guns. Enjoy yours to the fullest! Jim Sunk New Dawn Galveston, TX Posted by: Jim at February 21, 2021 01:42 AM (QzJWU) 524
I've tried the "new, based on old" Schlitz. They still ain't got it right. That old brew was MAGIC. If the dictionary could define the taste of "Beer", the illustration would've been mid '70s Schlitz.

You might get a mower to run on 190-proof Everclear, but the choke would have to be almost fully closed. I once had a '61 VW Bug, and ran it out of gas late at night in Vancouver. There was a 24-hour gas station (then a rarity) about ten blocks away. I had a pint bottle of alcohol windshield washer anti feeze on hand, the concentrate, no water. I dumped that in the tank, and with a warm engine, and the choke fully pulled, it started. Ran poorly, but got me to the gas station. It pisses me off that so many Americans bitch about the tariffs on Scotch when the EU did the same to Bourbon a year sooner. Tricky Dick was one smart SOB. He loathed the elite Ivy League, was an ardent anti-commie, and that's why they destroyed him. Of course, he contributed to his own destruction, but presidents have done far worse than him. LBJ for instance, whom I suspect had people killed. All the Kennedy assassination stuff, I don't know, but it wouldn't surprise me if LBJ had something to do with it. Or knew what was going on. I used to discount most of that, but from what I've learned about the Deep State and the globalist oligarch cabal, I don't any more. Nixon was stupid. He totally blew Watergate. His own anti-marijuana commission recommended legalizing it. Only Nixon could go to China. He should've stayed there and given *them* the EPA.

If anyone's still up - I really haven't been much of a drinker over the past few years. How badly have scotch prices risen in the last 3 - 5 years?

almost all of them did worse. Nixon was one of the first in the modern age where the MSM could prove they could change the narrative and destroy anyone on the right they hated. The only reason they leave W alone is because he means nothing on the national stage and has made it clear that he has no desire to mean anything. Posted by: publius, Rascally Rapscallion of a Poperin Pear at February 21, 2021 03:13 I think the hatred for Nixon goes back to him exposing Alger Hiss. Commies didn't like that one bit and held it against him. The globalists today are just their successors. Posted by: Farmer at February 21, 2021 03:24 AM (55Qr6) 591

Posted by: SFGoth at February 21, 2021 03:19 AM (KAi1n) Scotch prices are up. Really good Scotch has always been expensive, but their is no doubt the prices are up. While you can get a good Bourbon for $30 a fifth, a good Scotch will cost you $60 a fifth to be realistic. There area few reasons for that. Scotch is made in a socialist country, so there is that. Scotch ages slower, and that adds to the tax bill and cost, so there is that. There is also a 25 percent tariff on single malt Scotch placed by the Trump administration. But what so many seem to ignore, is the fact the the E.U. placed a 25 percent tariff on American Bourbon a year prior. Posted by: Quint at February 21, 2021 03:26 AM (Veofh) 592

while Scotch prices are high, the real inflation has been in the small release Bourbon business. While good Scotch will never be cheap. the stuff that has gone crazy is small release Bourbon. These guys geek out. They wait outside the stores when the shipments come in and then many of them horde it and sell it to others. This is illegal in most states but they don't care. These people are also the most unfriendly you will ever meet. They don't give a crap about anyone else, they are after a score, and that is all that matters.
i hope the Bourbon guys raise the prices so high they all go into hock. Posted by: Quint at February 21, 2021 03:30 AM (Veofh) 594

Posted by: SFGoth at February 21, 2021 03:18 AM (KAi1n) Christ Marijuana even on NIxon? Look, i dropped it long ago. I don't mess with other peoples Dieties. But to blame Nixon for Marijuana? The country was at least 80 percent opposed at the time. Take the win and be happy with it. A lot of conservatives are not happy because it is just one more example of how the nation has been warped beyond recognition over the last 30 years. A local radio host mentioned today that the mob used to run prostitution, gambling, and drugs. They were attacked for that for as long as most Americans recall. Now the Dems and statists are all in on running them all as state sanctioned entities. And we all know that America is way better now than it was 30 or 40 years ago. The famous example is Lincoln's letter to Meade after the battle of Gettysburg. He ripped Meade to shreds and made it clear that the battle was a lost opportunity, not a great victory. His aides told him not to send the letter and he did not. Then again, the people that needed to know learned what was in it. Either way, it was a good lesson in thinking twice before you send something. You might have the most scathing retort, but there are times when you should simmer down and tuck that retort away. 100% on the car quiz. Then again I am old and lived alongside of Studebakers, Packards, Hudsons and Nashes.

598 Just took the car quiz, mixed up on the Henry J and a Willys, otherwise got them. Those Nash bathtub cars were weird looking, especially the one they used on the Superman show (I think Lois was the owner). Convertible of sorts.

the thing about pot heads is they go on an on about how it is safe and non addictive. But they also risk everything over pot. Many of them devote their lives to pot. How many sports figures have ruined their careers over pot? But they still say it is not addictive and not dangerous. It is like as if people would end their careers over Allspice, Coriander or Nutmeg.
