In other words, Trump's term in office was just as free of crime and malfeasance, as was Trump's business dealings pre-politics. Had there been pre-political "dirt" on Trump, you KNOW they would've incessantly published and aired every spec of it on every channel and every publication.
The mad egos of the GOPe are such, (and Dems are worse, if possible), is that they conflate what they do not "like", with what was legal, permissible and within the bounds of law.
One of the greatest shames of our system of politics is that the politicians no longer fear the fists of an angered electorate. This, needs to change.

Trump was impeached while President. The trial was just a continuation of the impeachment which the constitution gives the Senate jurisdiction. They could have chosen not to go forward as unfortunately there is nothing in the constitution that addresses the timing of the impeachment. It leaves that up to the Senate.

No, that is not true. The two previous post hoc impeachments, one dealt with an expelled Senator Blount, it was rejected by the Senate as superfluous and contrary to Article I removal of senators. The Second was Sec. of War Belknap who resigned minutes before being impeached by the House. The Senate took up the trial and acquitted, in part because of the mootness of the nature.
In addition, read Tillman and Blackman dealing with just exactly who are officers of the United States (Tillman did a lot of research on emoluments clause using the same language). In effect, officers are appointed, not elected and thus the H&S lack the power to bar the electorate from choosing who they damn well please for office. In addition, you cannot start a moot proceeding in order to punish someone. The power of the Senate to remove Trump was moot and thus the Senate has no power to try a moot case in order to issue post hoc punishment.

The only rationale I could think that Willard the Rat could be a positive was his performance taking over the Olympics and making it something other than a financial Hiroshima. What to do next is pretty much aiming at self sufficiency--finances, mechanics, food, getting in shape, making local friends to ride out bad economic times together, establishing or getting into a faith community and learn to grow your own food as a supplement and a trade that is needed. Vote in good local leaders or leave if the area is beyond repair to somewhere else.
Solidarity like in Poland during the 80's is the goal, not some sort of gotterdammerung conflict with an uncaring and evil central government.

The problem with that is that the Dems can turn a city into an unsafe deathtrap with high taxes a lot faster than it can be turned around. Took Rudy one term to turn it around, and a second for the city to begin to thrive. Bloomberg, to his credit, did not mess with success much during his twelve years. DeBlasio ruined all the hard work in a mere 5 years in office.
Fleeing to red states is no longer a long term strategy either with refugee resettlement, illegals, and blue locusts.
I think the US will burn now and there is little the right can do to stop it so take care of yourselves and loved ones and build that local community.

Blog hosts like Ace are already having problems keeping from being deplatformed including the milk toast versions like Conservative Treehouse. There are law enforcement agents and probably informants that post or lurk here so advocating kinetic action only brings heat to people that do not deserve it.
So, what to be done, to persuade Americans that a change must come generally requires a severe crisis, to persuade Americans by and large that enormous changes need to be made, requires a massive crisis. We have one with the clock ticking now--the federal deficit and debt bomb.
So, preparing for that outcome for family and friends is the most critical mission right now. When a currency collapse and hyperinflation will occur is uncertain but probably within the next 5 years. At that point, people will be ready for a change from the current regime to almost anything.
Remember, this is more a coup than a revolution--they have nothing like a majority of popular support behind them and the regime legitimacy is fading by the day due to overreach and arrogance.

The most generous explanation I can come up with is that Reynolds has a contract with PJ media allowing them to promote their writers on his site.
As for the lack of response, that's what concerns me the most. I've been asking as politely as I know how for the last year and can't get even the courtesy of a response. Which I think is because the entire side has been turned into a grift to get advert clicks from outrage porn. Because there appears to be very little respect for the audience. I know Reynolds has seen the complaints because he posted around them. I don't have any explanation for why he is ignoring the ones that are asked in good faith. But I don't think it bodes well do people like us.

Yah i'm not going to advocate anything like that. I get that now. I ran afoul of it only because for so many years I had heard people talk about how violence was still on the table, if only as a last resort, and I wanted some examples of what that would actually be.
By the reactions to such a innocent question I've been way out of proportion, which makes me think something else is in play. All I was looking for answers like " if they suspend elections that's the last straw for me" or " yes there's a line that once crossed would cause me to abandon the rule of law but I'm not going to be so stupid as to discuss it on open comms". I think the question bothers people because they don't want to commit something you'll be ashamed of ignoring later on.
On the other hand, I went over this with Professor Jacobson at LI for about a year and got no response. So the most generous conclusion I can reach is that he believes if violence is needed to defend the Republic then it is no longer worth defending. I don't agree with that but I can understand i

You need to preach to the officeholders in Washington, not the voters. The voters now are abused and despised publicly by their own officeholders. Why stay in an abusive relationship because the other side is worse? 'Conservatives' in office have not conserved a damn thing other than corporate graft and payoffs to the wealthy.
If the GOP wants to stay a party with voters at this point, most of the existing leaders and officeholders need to go. An alcoholic bum picked up off the street could do better than McConnell and McCarthy as a leader.
