Why Are the Feds Hiding Brian Sicknick's Medical Report?

I have a theory: they're hiding it because the medical report says he died of a stroke, and suffered no injuries at all (that is, the stroke was not caused by the riots), and the feds are hiding this fact until their Democrat allies have their show trial for Trump.

Read this great article from Revolver.

I'm excerpting some but you should read it in context because he includes screencaps of media coverage which I'm not duplicating.

Narrative 1:0: The Brazen Lie

The day after Sicknick's reported death, depraved toilet paper company and full-time libel factory known as The New York Times jumbo-tronned a massive, howler headline, later confirmed to be a Judith Miller-level damn dirty lie.

Narrative 1.0 absolutely saturated the airwaves, editorials, and social media. Every MSM outlet from USAToday to the NY Post to the Daily Dot repeated that Sicknick was "bludgeoned by a fire extinguisher." Not "sources say." Not "many believe" -- just a totally unqualified, unequivocal statement of fact.

In an unforgivable shocker, the House Trial Memorandum itself, which sets forth the very impeachment charges for which the 45th President stands accused, names Trump liable for "insurrectionists" that "killed a Capitol police officer by striking him in the head with a fire extinguisher." Their source? The New York Times.

But the toilet paper Times left a real stinker inside this one. Because every claim they made, every detail conveyed, was a lie.

Law enforcement officials now tell CNN that there was no fire extinguisher blow, no bloody gash, and no blunt force trauma to Sicknick's body when he died.

Not only that, but it is increasingly unclear when, where and if Sicknick was even rushed to the hospital.

As it turns out, multiple hours after the protest had already concluded, Sicknick texted his own brother Ken that very night he was basically fine, other than being "pepper sprayed twice," confirming he was safe and "in good shape."

Revolver then relays a strange detail: Sicknick's family was called on the phone Wednesday night and told, falsely, that Sicknick had died.

These calls were placed by the media.

Read the article for that.

...

Ken Sicknick had been told his brother collapsed inside the Capitol building, then was rushed to the hospital...

But the US Capitol Police's statement that night told a different story: he had returned to his office at the police division first.

Sometime between Sicknick being fine, healthy, and back in his office on Wednesday night, and dead or effectively dead on early Thursday evening, Sicknick apparently suffered a stroke. The sequence of when and how that happened should be the easiest part of this story to put to bed. And yet we are being told to take this faith -- or as the media likes to say: "without evidence."

Note that the bit about the stroke seems like speculation, but so what? The whole claim that Sicknick was "murdered" and had a "gash on his head" from being battered with a fire extinguisher was speculation, rumor, and Twitter bullshit.

The New York Times made up a lie -- or claimed they "verified" a fact, when in fact all they'd done is regurgitate TWITINT.

TWITINT is "Twitter intel." Because so much of our "journalism" and even government intelligence is now based exclusively on something someone saw @RangersFan69 said on Twitter, we should have a name for it.

TWITINT: It sometimes looks like real intelligence, except, gotcha!, it's just Twitter idiots, twittering nonsense.

4 Fortified facts don't need to be verified!
Posted by: The NYT

Meanwhile, Government Propagandist Andy McCarthy -- who has such a child-like understanding of the world that he believes that because he's not corrupt (according to his own self-evaluation), then no one in the government could possibly be corrupt -- continues insisting that Sicknick was "murdered," and a case can be made "without any ambiguity" that the president is guilty of conspiracy to commit this "murder."

Now, McCarthy based that, probably, on the New York Times claim.

But now that the New York Times claim is known to be based on nothing but Twitter rumors and leftwing hopes and dreams -- where is the retraction? Where is the apology?

Where is the blistering attack on the Times for shitting out propagandistic lies, yet again? Where is the calling out of the New York Times for deliberately lying, "without any ambiguity"?

Why, it's almost as if... as if... National Review knows that their leftwing media allies are lying, but choose to repeat those lies anyway, because they're all on the same side now.

Former federal prosecutor, everyone.

Former federal prosecutor.

You really want that "shoot from the hip," "YOLO" style in someone who can literally have you put to death.

The left wants to punish Trump for daring to get involved in politics, and in the process making them look like fools. The establishment right wants the same thing, as well as hoping that once Trump is gone things will go back to the way that they were before. Look at Gen. Flynn. Look at Manafort.

They used the Power of Law, to scare any real Trump supporters away from working for him... Trump had to use what was left.

85 The FBI was corrupt from inception. That's why the FBI director is the only unelected position with term limits.

Hoover was definitely a mess, but he didn't seem so much corrupted as power mad and monomaniacal. That is, he wanted to get the bad guys, fight communism, and save America, but that he was too willing to do anything it took and was more interested in himself and his power than anything else.

I mean I think he justified it by saying he was only doing what he had to and was forced to it by the bad guys but ultimately it was just about himself and his crazed need for power.

101 Been reading Thomas Wolfe:

Now they saw it -- its newness, its raw crudeness, and its strength -- and turned their shuddering eyes away. "Give us back our well-worn husk," they said, "where we were so snug and comfortable." And then they tried word magic. "Conditions are fundamentally sound," they said -- by which they meant to reassure themselves that nothing now was really changed, that things were as they always had been, and as they always would be, forever and ever, amen. But they were wrong. They did not know that you can't go home again.

America had come to the end of something and to the beginning of something else. But no one knew what that something else would be and out of the change and uncertainly and the wrongness of the leaders grew fear and desperation and before long hunger stalked the streets. Through it all there was still only one certainty, though no one saw it yet. America was still America, and whatever new thing came of it would be American.

113 To be successful, any serious reform-minded Presidential candidate needs to effectively create a "shadow government" of pre-vetted personnel who will staff the government upon victory. Valuable campaign (and pre-campaign) time, money and energy needs to go into the selection of these people -- not just in the "transition" but well before.

Once elected to office, the first order of business is to fire everyone that the President has the authority to fire. Fire them all, even those who would not routinely be fired, such as the head of the FBI. Every AUSA should be fired.
If you can fire "burrowed" personnel, do so. And then replace them all with the pre-vetted personnel.

Personnel is policy. Start planning a new spoils system now, because its the only way reform will be possible.

Posted by: Lizzy at February 10, 2021 12:44 PM (bDqIh)

180 Actually, Darrell, McCarthy's probably the most inscrutable failure of the prominent names out there.

His "never Trumpism" - idiotic, ipso facto, as it was/is wherever it's found.

But then - on one of the recent absurd SCOTUS decisions (there've been so many one forgets which one it was - I think marriage redefinition or O-care?? but it seemed more recent than those), his take-down of the authoritarian drones on the court was very good. "They vote, they don't judge" I recall was his key point, which even if obviously the problem with courts for years, was still well put.

And on Rosenstein, McCarthy authored a pretty devastating column with a fairly persuasive argument that Rosenstein's weakness and cowardice explained his otherwise indefensible "oversight" of Mueller. Those with separate angles of intel on Rosie find McCarthy's analysis perfectly spot-on.

So bottom line, McCarthy's a pathetic failure on the biggest questions, or most of them, but a paradox in that he obviously understands some of the other major issues.

The entire false framework most people exist within is a creation of media distortion, everything talked about here is a product of media distortion and "agendas".

What does that really mean? Back in 2000 we (Freepers) protested outside the Gore's VP office. Secret Service crossed the street and grabbed a middle eastern man for questioning. Several of us were about to follow our outrage down a rabbit hole and do something stupid until the protest organizer warned us to stand down, that this was his permit and he was going to co-operate fully.

By the OPs standard, that made him a "gov informant"

What probably happened is the FBI contacted the leader to co-operate in screening some of his members as a domestic terror threat and he simply co-operated.

255 One thing I learned in business is that executives tend to manage from the perspective of how they came up through an organization.

For example, a salesman who become a CEO will treat the company as a big sales force. An operations guy will see everything as production schedules and targets. An owner's son will see all employees as serfs,....

Trump saw gov. the way a dealmaker sees things - he put people into position, but then tried to cajole and win them over. He had good instincts, but did not use force and dirty tricks to control those who worked for him. Most of the Lefty politicians will destroy people who go against them; I do not think that could work on the Right since gov. is basically a Lefty domain, but regardless Trump was unwilling to take that route. He destroyed people with tweets, but did not appear to play hardball with his enemies.

In other words, they got their facts wrong, assumed the shooting victims were in positions they weren't, then tried to make a proof by contradiction to convince people the official story was a lie. All they really proved is they didn't understand the facts in front of them.

I made this point on an open thread a few days ago. They have stills from the capitol security footage in the FBI charging documents but NO FUCKING VIDEO!

I bet that it isn't being released because it shows people calmly wandering around and being respectful (you know, walking between the velvet ropes) and police allowing them to go where they want.

Yeah I watched a very simple, very direct explanation of what took place and it all falls together quite well without need of any shenanigans, extra shooters, or conspiracy. JFK was just blown up to be such a stupendous figure despite being at best mediocre that some could not stand the thought of him just being shot dead by a crazed communist.

304 Re: Trump's "stop the steal" options, I find Patrick Byrne's account (I think now completed) interesting.

In it, Trump comes across as something of a spent force, with his personal loyalty to Rudy being a major strategic flaw (Rudy was in way over his head for a complex cyber fraud case).

I find Bryne's account to be plausible, but I'm somewhat cautious on how much it praises Powell and Flynn.

Bottom line (IMO): There was never any plan. Trump went to bed on Nov. 3rd confident he won the election. The campaign's flailing attempts to "stop the steal" didn't possess the coherence needed to fight that case. Trump was ill-served by his lawyers. The GOP didn't do the legwork it needed to choke off potential avenues of fraud in the lead-up to the election. The attempt to get state legislatures to re-take their power and declare the election fraudulent was a naive approach.

The Texas litigation came out of left-field and was probably Trump's best chance at winning.

It is also entirely possible that he believed that the average government worker was a real patriot who was interested in the good of the country and it's citizens because the working people he knew and loved were like that.

I am sure he was surprised to find that virtually no one involved in government in DC gives a rat's ass about the country or the citizens but have all sold out to the socialist'd ideals and graft.

The vast majority of Americans are much, much more conformist than their legends (Internationale on the left, cowboys on the right) would suggest. But that works the other way: if Trump really had told his supporters to storm the Capitol, even a tenth would have been sufficient to kill everyone inside. And that's assuming they were unarmed.

At some point you can't blame people for acting without leadership. Tashfeen Malik and Kyle Rittenhouse have proved extraordinarily brave by this measure, but it's also incredibly rare.

Maybe they think they're better off if the public believes he's a martyr.

After all, cops who die of strokes or aneurysms or other medical conditions unrelated to their jobs don't get to lie in state. They just get buried. And they don't get held up by the media as "heroes." And their families don't get invited to sit next to Jill Biden at the SOTU speech.

If the cop just died of an underlying medical condition (as seems to be the case), then he's not special, he's just like thousands of other Americans who die every day of underlying medical conditions. If he died because of the Capitol protests, on the other hand, then he's special.

Wouldn't you want your dead loved one to be viewed as special?

Even assuming that the logistics argument held water, Trump had all the excuse he needed to flood the Capitol with soldiers and gear after January 6th. Tbh, I was sure that's what was happening. Logistics is no substitute for fighting spirit.

No, these are all physical objects that occupy physical space that require physical effort to move around the country. No logistical train works great for small SpecOps, but Caesar didn't cross the Rubicon with a squad.

Technically he crossed at speed with a legion that more resembled an armed gang. Pompey probably could have assembled his own legions in time to stop Caesar cold if the latter was unwise enough to take his time. But you don't have the historical background to even be aware of how that scenario strengthens my argument and weakens yours.

The left and right both have the same blind spot, believing that the military will be wholly united behind their plays. In reality, the whole force is likely to break apart, and not around neat ethnic or state lines either. Of course you need logistics, but there's a difference between the 2nd gen plan to invade Normandy and the maneuver warfare that any nationalist force will need.

But two (others) died of medial emergencies - one of a stroke and one of a heart attack. In a crowd of thousands upon thousands of largely middle-aged people probably walking more than they've walked in ages, can that be a surprise? And now Sidenick?

These we're deaths 'caused' by the protests. They were just sad deaths of middle-aged people who's health was worse than they realized.

As a former Marine, I don't know about that.

But we do send new recruits into the fleet to opposing coasts, ie. if you grew up in Penn you are likely to go to Pendleton in CA. If you are from LA you are likely to go to Lejeune in NC.

The intent is to keep you from returning to your old life and loser friends who might get you in trouble. But it also could double as insurrection insurance. If there is a civil breakdown, you will not be shooting people you might know.

You'd know better than I do. I agree that the Marines are likely to have an identity strong enough to persist into the post-USA era as an effective fighting force. Given the criminal activities of part of that force in relatively good times, though, I don't believe they will be completely immune to the pressure.

I often marvel at the Lee Greenwood prism that the military is viewed at here. I did my six years. It wasn't conservative in the nineties - I have no idea why people think it is now. It was racial. Mixing with other folks was scoffed at by some. Folks loved to align with an NCO of their particular race - happened all the damn time. The military was a cross section of society. Nothing more and nothing less.

447 "I spent several months politely asking Professor Jacobson what Red Line, if crossed, would cause him to abandon his loyalty to the Rule of Law and pick up a rifle. I couldn't understand why he never gave me even the courtesy of a response."

I've since tried the same on several other "conservative" pundits. In hindsight, I was foolish to ask such a question in good faith. I couldn't understand the vitriolic responses I got (Hoyt was the worst, what a fraud she is) until I realized it's because they don't want to commit to a Red Line, because that would mean when it was eventually crossed they would feel obligated to do something, and that was the very last thing they wanted to do.

Better to write 500 word essays lamenting The Fall Of The Republic and post outrage porn about how "You won't believe what the Left did next!" for the advert clicks.

So many of them of just an NRO-lite model. Even Insty (via Driscoll and Hoyt) appears to be on this path now. It is in their best interests to have Biden steal the election. Gives them new material.

449 Pair that with the head of the Proud Boys being an FBI informant, and it looks like this is all political theater/FBI framime job.

That Proud Boys informer thing just does not sound right to me at all. First off people are repeating it based on a Gateway Pundit claim which is always something to be cautious with but... what, exactly, would he "inform" about??

The Proud Boys are basically a buncha guys who drink beer and hang out at the bar, then go out and help protect protesters sometimes. They're not a criminal organization, they don't get involved in crimes, they're not smuggling drugs. There's nothing to inform ON.

Yah, I was a bit stunned by that too. Then I realized if he would tolerate Mirengoff seeding his Euro Soccer posts with cheap shots at Trump, he was part of the problem.

I should have expected that. Sadly, I am currently witnessing the same dynamic with Ed Driscoll and Glenn Reynolds. If his (valid) excuse is an adherence to Freedom of Speech, then he would at least give our good faith complaints about Driscoll and his Daily Treacher the courtesy of a response. To date he has ignored us entirely. So I now suspect there must be some other reason he tolerates Driscoll rubbing our nose in Treacher drek every day. Maybe it's some contractual obligation with PJM, I don't know. Although I have come to view them as Controlled Opposition too.

452 It's not surprising the media lied. And all the dead -- cops and protestors all, "on both sides" as the expression goes -- have died tragically and unnecessarily.

It saddens me this particular lie cuts off a great symbol of right-wing protest. The left protests by STARTING fires. Molotov cocktails, torches, bottle rockets. The right protests with fire extinguishers.

When it's time again later to take to the streets each of us should be carrying a bright red reminder of the media lies and the true message of constitutional preservation -- we EXTINGUISH the fires that would destroy our heritage.

457 It gives me no pleasure - I came to know and admire Hoyt's stand in the Hugo drama. But she treated me the same way the Sad Puppies were treated. If anyone should know better, it's Sarah Hoyt.

It's said you can tell the character of a man by how he treats the staff. I'm just a nobody she falsely accused of being a "paid turkish provocateur troll". She tried to ban me but it failed. She then claimed I was doing some kind of VPN dance to avoid it, but I can't even set up my voicemail without help.

So I offered to self-ban until she sorted it out, even gave her my email so she could contact me later. Kept my word for over a year now but no response from her, not even to follow up to see if maybe she needed to right a wrong that she did. Probably because I am No One.

So, I've seen her true colors, I know she is false. I don't need to convince you though, in time you will see what I saw.

458 What employee in any business or function can knowingly post false facts that could be determintal to all who read utter nonsense and act on this information without severe consequence?

Any organization or employee posting such rumor, fables, speculation without identifying it as such should be sentenced to five years in jail and prohibited from working in that line of work again. Can an engineer at a damn falsify a structural report? Post rumors, report an unidentified source when the safety of thousands are at stake?

Unidentified sources should be banned, as well as rumor or speculation masquerading as fact. Such incidents such as the media reports of the Floyd and Brown deaths should allow the general public to sue the media.
