The Morning Report - 2/3/21 [J.J. Sefton]

showtrial.jpg

Good morning, kids. Wednesday and the big story is President-in-exile Donald Trump's second "impeachment" trial. On the face of it, it's an absolute farce; Trump cannot be subject to a process the sole purpose of which is to remove him from an elected office that he no longer occupies. If one needs to go beyond that, the "charges" against him are completely baseless, without merit, and defy the timeline of events that occurred on Black Wednesday, January 6th.

Just off the top of my head, these are the events as I have seen, heard and read about them from multiple, reliable eyewitness sources:

1-The overwhelming majority of rally-goers on January 6th were no doubt fired up and passionate about showing up as a way of registering their displeasure at Congress and VP Pence giving the Good Housekeeping seal of approval to the Electoral College vote.

2-In calling for his supporters to come to DC, at no time did President Trump demand, encourage, promote nor even hint at anyone "getting in the faces" of elected officials or being in any way, shape or form destructive.

3-DC Mayor Muriel Bowser and other Democrat elected officials knew in advance that there would be trouble and yet did not call for reinforcements nor did they take any other precautions. There is ample reason to suspect that she and the echelons of the DC cops as well as high level Democrats colluded with Antifa/BLM agitators in advance to stage Reichstag Fire 2: Electric Boogaloo.

4-The actual breaching of the Capitol buildings were led by Antifa/BLM confederates dressed in MAGA gear and in fact were shown to be let in and guided by Capitol Police. It is they who caused whatever minimal damages to property that occurred. John Sullivan, a rabid racialist BLM-tifa leader called for burning the place down on social media whist wearing a MAGA hat and Palestinian terror towel around his neck. Those few dozen who followed them in were seen to be behaving as if they were on a guided tour instead of the mostly peaceful Democrat arsonists who torched a dozen cities over the course of the summer and afterwards.

5-The breach occurred on or about the time Trump started speaking, so he could not have ordered the storming of the Bastille as it was already well under way. Plus, any honest analysis of what he said will show at no time did he tell people to storm Congress or act in any way, shape or form that could be remotely construed as violent.

6-Ashlii Babbitt was shot in cold blood by a Capitol cop and, surprise surprise, no reasonable prosecutor will hold the killer to account. One has to wonder beyond the actions and mindset of the assassin what would be revealed about his higher ups regarding preparations for that day. But that's just conspiracy talk, right? The others who sadly died that day evidently were not as a result of any violent confrontation.

7-When he learned of what was going on in Congress, Trump himself told everyone to disperse and go home as quickly, quietly and peacefully as possible.

8-"Bomb planted at the RNC headquarters the night before? Never heard of it!" -- Charlie Gibson

I'm not going to even get into the rank hypocrisy of dozens of Democrat politicians, propagandists and others exhorting the Dresdenization of dozens of American cities and towns, as well as verbally and even physically assaulting Trump allies and voters while getting all worked up over what in the end amounted to the equivalent of a college panty raid, the tragic deaths of Babbitt and the others notwithstanding and crucially unrelated to the breach (although Babbitt is for sure another matter). Naturally, all of this has been ignored, twisted and outright censored by the propagandists and Big Brother Tech, and will be ruled inadmissible at the trial. But all of this is a distraction from the real thrust of this story.

This is a classic Soviet-style show trial being conducted by an illegitimate junta who seized power via a hijacked election (the presidency and quite likely a number of down-ballot races over and above the two Georgia Senate seats). It's goals are a) to smear, humiliate and perhaps hold PIEOTUS Trump civilly or criminally liable for the deaths and whatever damage occurred, b) by securing a conviction prevent him from running again in 2024 (as if the election-rigging will not be perfected long before then as well as bolstered by mass amnesty among other things), and c) send an unmistakable dead-fish Luca Brasi Sicilian message to the 80 million of us who voted for him and the millions more who are now prisoners to the New World Order: resistance is not only futile but dangerous to your health.

In a way, my phraseology in referring to Trump as the President-in-exile of the United States actually confers legitimacy on an impeachment trial, and in its own way reveals how the Enemy Junta, beyond its hatred, is scared shitless of him and by extension upwards of two thirds of the population of the nation formerly known as America that it both reviles yet is dependent upon for its existence. That is potentially its Achilles heel, and the key to its downfall.

Let's not kid ourselves; we're up against not only a dictatorship but one that is exponentially more powerful, intrusive and coercive than potentially any in history by virtue of technology. Yet the most powerful tool at its disposal is the eagerness of a not insignificant portion of the populace, perhaps from one third or more, to act as its enforcers. Google, Facebook, the IRS and even the FBI can be thwarted. But your bank, your doctor, your employer, your neighbor and even your own family are another story.

10 Completely agree with Legal Insurrection's take on the Stalinist Show Trial of Donald J. Trump

Not only is the trial DOA, the Democrats really don't care about the
Democrats' Brief. They would vote to convict Trump if all they submitted
were doodles and a cocktail napkin.

Nothing actually matters about any of this. It's all Democrat Kabuki Theater.

Of course we will cover the trial. As theater critics.

For she is dead, her ideals, values and foundation have been blown to bits. And all the while, people that had/have the power to do anything about it sit in the corner cowering in fear, biting their fingernails. There are still a lot of good men in this country. But it doesn't look like there's enough of them left to do what so desperately needs to be done. So, down we go...

Is it a message to the 80M who voted for him? If the Democrats think it is I'm not sure those 80M are going to understand the message.

I guess if they're busy trying to impeach a private citizen in a kangaroo court like the banana republic we've now become, fine. That means they're not doing other stupid shit. The failure theater will be complete with the HUMVEES and camo attired National Guard troops outside the Capitol.

28 Current events are infuriating and getting worse.
Mike Lindell was being interviewed on NewMax and made an attempt to answer a question, but was interrupted by one of the talking heads with a shouted disclaimer that the election was honest and fair, or words to that effect. "Nothing to see here". As bad as George Stephanopoulos demanding his guests repeat the mantra that election fraud did not occur.
In another time such treatment would be met with violent opposition. Today? Meh.

40 The only reason PDJT is on trial is because our side has not risen up like Antifa has done. I didn't follow it, but that is my recollection. A few groups got permits to rally against what they thought were election irregularities. Trump and others showed up because the rallies were happening. If I am wrong about this, please call it out, but I think this is what happened. Trump was responding to a groundswell of people who wanted to be heard. They wanted a legal demonstration, and got the permits, It is just like the pink whatevers, the Women's March etc of 2016 and 2017.
I have not seen accurate reporting of how many showed up in DC to the Elipse to watch the speeches. I think 500,00 is a fair estimate though. So how many were violent at the Capitol Building and who were they? How many even walked into the Capitol area thinking it was ok for some reason? Was it one hundred? Two hundred? So out of 500,000 it was what, .0006 percent?

The Newmax/Mike Lindell story is covered pretty fairly at Gateway Pundit. Nobody wants to step into the quicksand and money trap of a defamation lawsuit right now.

Mike Lindell is still allowed to have his opinion, but he has to approach it from that angle, not make a definitive declaration on Dominion on Newsmax.

The reporter walked off the set because he knew he would be up the creek.

This Capitol Policeman stuff really is the cherry on top of 6+months of anti-police rioting/ ACAB/ Defund the Police /Say her name, huh?

Meanwhile, two FBI agents were shot in FL yesterday and not a peep from the Commander in Chief or anyone in his administration, nor any one in Congress.

64 ...footage, combined with witness accounts, seems to show that the lieutenant, who has not been named, was left alone to confront a mob

And why was that? There had been three officers standing in front of the doors with a SWAT team coming up the stairs soon after. There is video of the three talking with one of the Antifa guys and then the cops walked away. Meanwhile, after the shot, you see one of the SWAT guys communicating with someone down the hallway behind the barricade.

If you look at the crowd, they are just milling about not doing much until the cops leave. Then the Antifa guys break some windows.

AOC, Maxine Waters, Kamala Harris, etc., were all doing the same.

Waters explicitly told people to go after Trump supporters and make them feel unsafe and unwelcome in public places. Harris encouraged BLM and antifa thugs to keep rioting and set up a group to pay the bail of the few rioters who were arrested, so they could get back on the streets.

Then when a few dozen unarmed Trump supporters stroll through the Capitol without a pass it's suddenly law and order time, and protesters should be shot on sight for the great crime of making BLM- and antifa-supporting legislators like AOC and Waters and Harris feel "unsafe"?

Definitely not. The footage of the Capitol policeman being beaten outside was horrifying -- just as horrifying as the many, many LEOs and citizens who were visciously attacked by BLM and antifa throughout their 2020 riots.

What funny, in a political funnybusiness way (not a 'ha ha' way), is the abrupt 180 on one particular LEO because he serves as a great prop to impeach a former president. It unseemly, ugly, and insulting to LEOs everywhere. Biden and crew did not care about them in 2020 because they were great political target, a tool to instill fear in regular citizens and to fire up their activists.

That entire event is being used as the catalyst to crack down on all conservatives. it absolutely backfired and has been a major psyop coup given to the libs to go full spectrum. So all this talk of getting our asses handed to us- it was happening anyway based upon the pathetic GOP and the absolute miscalculation of seeing what the libs were doing to state and local election laws.
They will spin the capitol protest non stop until they get what they want- TOTAL control. Endless EOs and tech silencing. FBI scooping everyone up.
And after this sham impeachment collapses, they will have another show trial. No doubt bringing up the "terrorists" who "Stormed the capitol and assaulted our democracy."

Well I went to the speech but not the Capitol Building. What I saw was a a large swath of this nation supporting the president and asking for some answers. I am very well aware of lefty hipocrosy. Woke up dark and early and realized I was not going to roll over and go back to sleep. Then I discovered Milady was likewise up early. Most unusual. Feels like a "something's up" morning. Besides the sun, I mean. So, I got up & dressed, started the coffee, fed the cats, fed myself, fired up the web and steeled myself for the Morning Report. But first I checked the Overnight and found two nice music links.

153 119 Speaking of Dominion throwing around lawsuits or the threat thereof for merely questioning their hallowed "technology," whatever happened to those forensic reports that clearly showed weighting of ballots cast for Trump vs. Stump? Just off into the ether, I guess? Nothing to see here, move along? Sure seems that way.
_______________

When the state of Texas decided not to use Dominion a few years back, it was because a computer security firm had examined the software for the state and found all sorts of security problems with it. I don't remember all of it, but one of the issues was that the Dominion audit logs are completely worthless. An operator can go in after the fact and change or delete whatever they please, and there is no way to tell who did what, or when. Then there is that bullshit "adjudication" dodge that a lot of voting precincts took advantage of in 2020, where unlimited numbers of votes can be manually "corrected" by poll workers.

It would be nice if discovery in the lawsuits was permitted to be wide-ranging so that we can really see for ourselves how bad Dominion is, but I very much doubt that will be allowed to happen.

Sure there was cheating, but this should never have been close. The Repubs got worked over Covid and many other issues. The entire election process is highly questionable at this point and we know the Left in certain cities cheat like Hell.

It is hard to defend the president in a sham trial when a bunch of our own are saying what happened was ok. I say it was not ok, Trump had nothing to do with it. The 75 million that voted for him had nothing to do with it and 99.9 percent of the patriots who showed up that day had nothing to do with it. If that is controversial, so be it.

164 I found this write-up at Archive.gov last night, written about the Magna Carta's legacy on the US Constitution:

The U.S. Constitution is not a static document. Like Magna Carta, it has been interpreted and reinterpreted throughout the years. This has allowed the Constitution to become the longest-lasting constitution in the world and a model for those penned by other nations. Through judicial review and amendment, it has evolved so that today Americans--regardless of gender, race, or creed--can enjoy the liberties and protection it guarantees.

So it's not a static document, huh? Could've fooled me! Somebody ought to inform our illustrious legislative body, as well as the SCOTUS. I don't think they know.

any takers if this is pelosi's last term? i thought maybe, but nah, she loves and craves power too much. like feinstein, she'll have to expire before leaving office.
i guess she could pull a babs boxer and become a sellout lobbyist for china.

At what point do you have enough money? you know, all these motherfuckers in congress get rich, they violate insider trading laws, they are unanswerable to anyone. and to call a typical week in congress "work" is not even laughable- its insulting to the millions of men and women who get up everyday and actually work. but when you do get to be one of the 450 or so people who control this country and get your millions- when is it enough?
And you look at pelosi- millions- in power- and she is just angry and bitter. And so i guess now i have answered my own question- evil never rests, greed is never satiated, power corrupts absoutley.
sorry- bit of a tangent there. more coffee.

This point should not be left to fall by the wayside. If the Party Proper wants to challenge anything for any reason - even if it is merely because their fraud took longer than expected to accomplish - they find a clear path and *very* accommodating systems. If someone in the Party Minor (or, G-d forbid, not of the Party at all) tries it, they find those same paths thoroughly obstructed indeed.

204 Casting my mind back to the Spygate saga, there were messages within the FBI inner cabal about cultivating a man in the White House to act as a spy for them and to enable their unqualified for the job (but very qualified at electronic surveillance) FBI men to work effectively. The person they were grooming to achieve that is, if I recall correctly, a staff member belonging to Pence's wife (or perhaps it was Mrs. Pence herself - I don't rightly remember).

Pence's behavior in the last three weeks of the administration makes me wonder if perhaps he knew about that and looked the other way.

Yeah. Space is just a gimmick. Things like the GPS system and the vast array of satellites don't matter. Neither does space-based defense (or offense). Nor does the encroachment - in a big, meaningful, dangerous and scary way - into space by Red China and her aggressive, high-tech oppression state. There is also surely no need to build defense against space-based methods of interrupting Western nations such as via electronic warfare or even actual weapons. The future prospects for energy and possibly (though unlikely) material exploitation of surrounding space is irrelevant, too.

These are profoundly unserious people (when it comes to national interest, anyway).

Put the local DNC head in charge of 'adjudicating' thousands of ballots marked for Trump with no oversight and see what happens. Is it Dominions fault that happened?

I also think some people walked into the Capitol because other people were doing it and there was no one stopping them. This is one of the reasons I am not that big on crowds of people. I have an old view of crowds/mob, it has something to do with the lowest iq in the mob and subtracting from that, the number in the mob.

But I was there on jan 6. I didn't know a soul there but I talked with quite a few. I saw a bunch of friendly people out to make their voices heard. It was also a diverse crowd, though you will never hear that in the MSM.

This has been my stance on this for a while. I doubt Dominion was running some centralized vote-rigging operation. Their systems, however, appear to be extremely porous and also very opaque. Such a system is easily exploited by anyone who wishes to and has some know-how. I suspect any number of Dominion people might have provided that know-how, but that is entirely speculative. The other bits - about the system being porous and opaque - are less so. There's plenty of evidence that those systems can be (and likely were, in some areas) subverted.

The system is so weak that it does not seem to be accidental. It might be - stupidity and avarice are common and could lead to it - but the idea that Dominion systems are deliberately weak does not strike me as impossible or even necessarily unlikely.

BUT the problem every statist in Europe is having currently is that they accepted the dogma that everyone has to shut down for the WuFlu, and they have all killed their economies. And they did NOT have robust, strong economies to begin with, and they don't have the ability to bail themselves out with printed billions like the US Treasury does.

I think the plan is for the US to start transferring them enough money to keep them afloat, but I suspect they are falling apart too fast for that to work.

264 The trial and adjoining for FBI manhunt for protesters that entered the building to take selfies like countless other protesters before for Kavanaugh, baby-murder laws, etc, is not really for any political purpose.

It's being displayed as a message to Americans who might not be happy with the bureaucracy naming your kinds by caveat.

They are speaking to you. Democrats and Republicans alike.

But it's no big deal, keep voting GOP. Keep lending legitimacy to the process. By repeating the same actions again and again, surely we can expect different outcomes in the future.

If you need me for anything, I'll be at church praying.....until they shut it down to.

Posted by: Captain Hate Won't Forget Ashli Babbitt at February 03, 2021 08:42 AM

In my morning news sweep, I usually start at GP, then Breitbart, then to AoS for anything late in the day I missed. Most of the time GP beats Breitbart by about 24 hours with a story. Most GP news is not so heavy on details - kinda rushed out and a tad sloppy. Breitbart is better, longer, more details. But differences in the story content? Not that much.

Like the other day, GP had the story and video of Ted Cruz calling Trump 'responsible' long before it appeared on Breitbart.

I do tend to take GP stuff with a grain of salt until I see Breitbart confirm it.

Posted by: Quint at February 03, 2021 08:45 AM (cVcEL)

This is fact.

There were good people that took the opportunity to walk around the capitol, likely never having that chance again. There were officers guiding the crowd, letting them in and overall, the video's I've seen, they were very respectful.

I disagree that the media and those in congress have labeled this a riot because it was FAR from a riot. There were some clashes, a murder by police, and officers that died from personal medical issues.

It's overall, Reichstag.

340 France has always considered themselves the smartest guy in the room. They are the political experts. They wanted German economic might behind them. They never considered Germany to be an equal, but a pawn for France to use to throw more weight around.

But I wonder, the French are Nationalists and Populists. I am talking the people now, not the elites. I think they rejected the E.U. once but the vote got scrubbed.

Before the EU there used to be deals to link the franc to the deutschmark. The French would go their merry way and spend spend spend and go buy stuff in Krautland on the cheap while the Germans doggedly went their austere way.

I've frequently thought that if WW2 hadn't ended like it did the French would have driven the nazis insane by occupying it.

i agree with that. They love being French. I think traditional America compares favorably but that seems to be changing rapidly. The Brits were anti-patriotic way back in the 90s. The Spanish don't seem to have much a a national pride but some areas have a regional pride. As for the Italians, it seems all about culture for them and not much else.

I have traveled extensively in Western Europe and for sure I had more memorable experiences in France than anywhere else. I think I wrote about it here but I logged it on some tapes many years ago. Sure not every experience was good, but most of them were. The French don't ignore you like so many do to foreigners. Looking back, it is not even close to be honest. When I think about Italy, Greece, Spain, and even the UK ( and these are my faves, not mentioning the others), it is more about foods I had and sites I saw. But in France it was the people I met. Not exactly what you were talking about but that is my experience.

402 This is a fascinating read by Patrick Byrne regarding what he witnessed / did from November 3rd through the "stop the steal" efforts. He's writing it in installments (you have to click the links after each piece to get to the next installment, and he's not finished with everything yet). If true, its an eye-opener.

AGREE!
...was rushed for time but once I started reading Byrnes' accounts, I could not stop.
Fascinating,
Rudy did Trump no favours. Geez...you'd think some body sober could have helped Trump and/or that Trump could seen Rudy's problem and gotten some body not binge drinking.

The last time I was in Paris it was in a February so way off season. We stopped in a cafe for lunch and even though I speak French ok we were obviously furriners (my daughters are blonde so I think they thought we were Scandis). Anyway when they found out we were from les Etats Unis, they got the owner who was taking a vacation here in August. He brought out his itinerary and was asking what we thought of it (of course it was outstanding). All the wait staff was gathered around; we were treated like royalty holding court. It was one of the neatest experiences I've ever stumbled into.

406 Thank you. Found Codevilla's piece.

Every member of the House should be given a copy, in LARGE print format to overcome their ocular block.

407 312 I agree that election software - whether for voting (which I oppose in general) or for tabulating (which I don't) - should be public domain.

Just for the record, I'm a purple index finger election advocate.

And abolish the 24th Amendment.
