The Morning Report - 2/2/21 [J.J. Sefton]

meoverthrow.jpg

Good morning, kids. Tuesday. Hope those who got dumped on by yesterday's nor'easter weren't too badly inconvenienced. Not that being cooped up in the house because of a little snowstorm felt any different than the last 11 months cooped up in the house because of a phony lockdown over a virus that is provably incrementally more dangerous to human life than seasonal flu. But its lethality as a psychological weapon of political terror cannot be underestimated, as it played a tremendous part in the sabotaging of the 2020 elections.

Speaking of overthrowing governments and sabotaging elections, the legally elected government in Myanmar was overthrown by a military coup over, get this, "suspected election fraud." The image up top is evidently an aerobics instructor doing her routine while the military was caught in the background rolling into the parliament to arrest - yet again - Aung San Suu Kyi. Can't wait for Jen Psaki to psircle back on this one. Feh.

The ease with which the firewalls protecting our freedoms and our rights were blown away have not been lost on the enemy junta; in fact, while fear porn of allegedly even more virulent strains of this Chinese virus continue to be pimped and pumped in the junta's house organs, the reaction to the other phony crisis, so-called "climate change" is going to make what was done to us this past year seem like nothing. With no courts and no political party to stop this - indeed with any vocal opposition at all to be deemed as "hate speech" or "insurrectionist," (and those are sure to be codified and rubber-stamped as the law of the land very soon now), well, you get the picture. Yet, the Enemy are saying and doing things that strike me and others as more out of fear than confidence.

Why would [quote-unquote so-called] President Biden shovel out a boatload of executive orders in the first week of his presidency advancing climate change and fighting systemic racism?

Why would the Deep State sic the FBI on candidate and then President Trump, and then let Kevin Clinesmith, the guy that falsified a document, off with a tap on the wrist?

Why would the rulers nod and wink through a summer of riots that caused death and destruction in many American cities, and then build fences and call out the National Guard to protect them against a few "far-right" LARPers? And if that isn't enough, mount an impeachment against a president who has already left office?

Oh, and by the way, How come it was Vice President Pence that ordered up the National Guard to Washington D.C.? Why not Trump, the commander-in-chief? Inquiring minds would like to know.

What is going on here? These "tells" show that the ruling class, for all its power and its domination and hegemony, is terrified by the barbarians at the gates.

They've got the power and they're going to use it. And the more things fail, the more some people speak out and act, to they extent they will be allowed, the more the junta is going to crack down and double down. They hate us, and they fear us.

...Democracy can be a wondrous thing and it is certainly a desirable thing, but it can also be the tyranny of the majority. Democracy can be self-defeating, as a tyrannical majority or vanguard party can elect a despot or vote to undo democracy (the Bolshevik Revolution comes to mind), but today its chief opponents are not the populists but the elites...

The establishment spent the past four years panicking, not that a demagogue might undo democracy in the West but that a Republican might remind the West that it is democratic. No, President Trump did not injure or hurt democracy. He simply reminded the establishment that democracy was still the expectation -- that even in a republic the citizens are in control. Democracy has not been beaten by the populist movement. It was resuscitated. In fact, it was the elites who were given cause to fret. Why? Western peoples have begun to see all that they share in common with one another extra to common sense; that they have been pitted against one another so that they may remain blind to their real foe: to the unaccountable elite who wage a never-ending rebellion against the poor and against normalcy.

"It is the mark of our whole modern history that the masses are kept quiet with a fight," wrote [G.K.] Chesterton. "They are kept quiet by the fight because it is a sham-fight; thus most of us know by this time that the Party System has been popular only in the sense that a football match is popular."

Americans and Britons and other Westerners are tired of this game where, regardless of the score, they are losing. Leyen, Merkel, Macron, et al. are right to panic, for democratic peoples may soon be willing to fight a real fight and for keeps.

Perhaps there is, if not a solution then a way to stave off and lessen the damage of the rapidly growing totalitarian tyranny American style that is about to engulf us.

In reality, nullification (which I've been advocating for years) should have been pursued long ago; the federal government has, after all, been trampling states' powers for at least the better part of a century, and an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. But that being water under the bridge, we now require a ton of cure.

The cure of nullification is the obvious next step for anyone serious about combating the burgeoning leftist tyranny. We've no other recourse. "As Jefferson warned, if the federal government is allowed to hold a monopoly on determining the extent of its own powers, we have no right to be surprised when it keeps discovering new ones," wrote author Thomas E. Woods, Jr.

Under this scenario, the federal government "will continue to grow -- regardless of elections, the separation of powers, and other much-touted limits on government power," he continued.

That is reality. So is this: Reasoned argumentation only works with those who'll yield to reason (the left won't). Constitutional constraints only matter to those who respect laws and national contracts (the left doesn't). Appealing to courts only bears fruit when judges have a sense of justice and duty and the guts to act rightly even when pariah status results (most don't). Making this more tragically comical still is that when we seek redress for federal tyranny, we expect relief from the federal government's own judicial branch!

This didn't help us with the 2020 election, which the left got away with stealing. Moreover, it knows it can not only replicate the theft in the future but can expand it; thus have the Democrats introduced a bill taking mail-in voting nationwide. Perhaps they can pass it, too.

Then the states can just pass on it. "Pound sand" would be my response.

Of course, this requires elected officials in "free" states to have the stones to actually do this. So far, only some politicians in Texas have at least broached the subject but considering the actions of the GOP legislatures in the six states where the ballot dumping on election night and the weakening of election laws in the weeks and months leading up to the election, as well as the inaction in defending from usurpations of power from judges and governors, I am not filled with strength and confidence that they have the balls let alone the moral fiber to do what is required here, as it was when it called for the assigning of electors to the Electoral College.

Each day is sure to bring about some new encroachment on our freedom and some new abuse of power. The more we either refuse to see it or refuse to confront it, the less are our chances of coming out the other side of this nightmare alive. If that is to be our fate in the first place. Winston Churchill said it best:

"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed;
if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves."

Tick tock tick tock...

People would do well to pay attention to what happened in Africa over the last few decades.

We're embracing tribalism in this nation, and the Democrats are advertising that they're anti-white. No conspiracy, no storm front. It's open and obvious. Lots of white farmers and landowners here, aren't there?

First step is prohibiting whites from owning firearms.

A not insignificant number. For sure, they cheated massively and stole the election. But that millions still cast a vote for him is frightening. That said, I think Leftism was and is at a high watermark, culturally. That Trump was elected, Brexit passed and other normal folks in the West and elsewhere hate globalism means that populism (no longer a dirty word in my book - I now declare myself as one) is the way.

It's unimportant now except to tell the next generation, but I'm sure he got 50-60M, and probably 75% of the Senate.

The problem being a president rolling along with the best economy in decades who wins Florida, Ohio, and the bellwether counties while picking up massive gains down-ticket doesn't lose his re-election bid.

We still haven't gotten any explanation for the coordinated across time zones multiple state counting shutdown. That was when the fix was in.

Secretary of State (a Democrat in charge of elections) resigns.
Governor (a Democrat) immediately comes out and proclaims firing has nothing to do with 'Election Integrity'.

Apparently she was supposed to advertise in every newspaper in every county in the state about some extension of sexual abuse claims, and did not. Such sexual abuse claims can not now go forward.

The Boy Scouts of America are in the midst of looking at 90,000 plus sexual abuse claims. Lawyers stand to collect 1/3rd of each settlement. Pennsylvania residents subjected to sexual abuse as Boy Scouts are now almost certainly precluded from financial settlements.

It's a pretty big fvcking deal.

29 "Democracy can be a wondrous thing and it is certainly a desirable thing, but it can also be the tyranny of the majority."

Sadly, despite being brainwashed into believing this, I'm really starting to doubt it. Most historical democracies progress to more and more centralized power, and the US has been no exception, despite the safeguards put in place by the founders. Off the top of my head, a democracy would need to consider two things: obligations to maintain citizenship, and active expulsion of "bad" citizens. It wouldn't be a liberal, free utopia like we want, but if we can't kick out commies and collectivists early, their promise of free stuff paid for by those with more has proven irresistible.

Now, enviros are getting involved and claiming the whole facility should be shutdown because they believe launches aren't good for sea grasses. The combined threats are serious enough that Musk isn't even tweeting his rage at the FAA, and, instead, he is silent (for now). There are LEOs who protected the Portland courthouse who have been blinded, they have attempted to set fire to local officials homes, and so much more.

Sure feels like they are signalling to antifa, BLM, and any other far Left radicals that it is OK to attack Trump supporters/normies who can be labeled "white supremacists." Is the risk that the army will drone, or that by normalizing this notion they are telling their unofficial troops to do it for them?

That those "others" are being heavily targeted for takeout, abolishment, ripped and stripped of their rights just for the very crime of thinking or saying anything that goes against the approved (always leftist) narrative. The loss of jobs, the threats of violence, the censorship, silencing, deplatforming.

94 American Thinker gets the headline wrong. The Republican circular firing squad continues unabated is wrong - for the same reasons its wrong when people moan about it here. The phrase implies that we're all on the same side.

We are not - and pretending that everyone that identifies as an "R" or a "Conservative" doesn't make it so. Frankly - it hurts more than it helps. We still have folks that fervently want to vote GOP, in an effort to somehow take over a party that assimilates anything it touches. We still have folks that roll their eyes at any suggestion that police and military are just as apt to side with the current regime as against it - while police selectively use force only against one side's protesters and the military occupies the capitol. I could go on and on with the examples - you get the point.

It's not a circular firing squad. It's a sorting that's long overdue.

As it has always been. Why do you think empires consistently push their frontiers ever outward? There are of course power, economic and other resource (namely food and water) considerations in games of conquest and those other reasons (primarily the latter) are usually paramount - but increasing the buffer zone between home and the barbarians is always a key factor. The barbarians are always there and always coming.

I think there's another reason as well - any authoritarian government has to have an enemy to focus not only the people's attention upon but also the various political power structures. Seems to me that much of the American Empire started falling apart about fifteen minutes after we got what we thought we wanted - the fall of the Soviet Union. We started hearing the various agencies talk about domestic terrorism almost immediately after. Berlin Wall came down on 11/89. Ruby Ridge kicked off on 9/92. Branch Davidian siege started on 2/93.

My conclusion is there's no such thing as a free society with Empire strength.

It has happened sometimes, but the empire is usually accidental in such cases, and is either fleeting or the empire itself changes to accommodate it.

The first American empire - which we acquired after the Spanish-American War - we sort of stumbled into half-blind and we never took it particularly seriously. It eroded of its own accord, with only vestigial bits remaining. The second - the post-war empire of hegemony - has persisted but at significant domestic cost. You could make a similar argument for the British empire. They grew due to domestic spats in Europe and the list for Oriental goods. Maintenance of that empire became paramount in terms of domestic considerations.

But yes. An external enemy is hugely useful as a galvanizing force. It is why no expansionist totalitarian (or any of its preceding analogues) can survive. If they ever manage to win the whole thing (which they are perilously close to achieving now), then there are no more external enemies and they suddenly have to deal with domestic affairs...

Every state has problems. Like individuals, states are imperfect. But Georgia has spun out of control and is heavily influenced by the CCP

No one cares because she was white and a Trump supporter.

If she were white and part of BLM protest it would be a minor story.

If she were black and part of a BLM protest in the capital there would have been wall to wall coverage, beatification, and an immediate trial. Trump would have been removed from office by force.

235 It has happened sometimes, but the empire is usually accidental in such
cases, and is either fleeting or the empire itself changes to
accommodate it.

I think we've been a victim of our own success. 1940s America gladly took on the Arsenal of Democracy role - and never put it down. As I see it, two things happened as a result. First - by fighting the Cold War for the rest of the world, we enabled them to slink into their own Democratic Socialist states without consequence. Second - we became institutionalized to the necessity of Big Gub'Mint. Well, the Cold War is over - but none of the trappings of it ever went away. They just got focused on us.
I don't know where we're headed - but I'm absolutely positive it's not good. I expect firearm taxation and surrender this year. And a currency crash sometime after. We can't keep this up. What can't sustain, won't. Oddly enough, I'm not going to weep because this political experiment finally went tits up. I find myself thinking a lot about what I would and would not support next.

240 I think that if anybody audited the finances of the American University system, you would find fraud that eclipses anything we have ever seen. When I was in medical school, in response to student grumbling about a $5000 increase in our already $50,000 tuition, the administration said "Look, education is expensive, your tuition is only 5% of what it costs per student, per year"

Where does the other 95% come from? Taxes, research grants, fees (because a student can't do anything on campus without paying a fee to do so), ?China?.

Point being, there is $1Trillion in outstanding student loan debt. If I were generous and said that was 10% of the cost of education, that means $10 trillion has gone into university education in the past 10 or so years. A trillion per year, 30% more than military spending.

So how did we become the United Soviet States of America? Look no further than McConnell's praise of Cheney. When the only political opposition to a police state is composed of grifters bellowing about 'muh Constitution" as they line their pockets while the governing document's putrid corpse is composted, it is Katy bar the door

As for nullification, yeah, maybe. How the public reacted to the farcical lockdowns inspires little confidence. Most Americans have proved to be weak, cowardly and complacent. They probably will polish their unused firearms one more time before they board the trains.

Here's to hoping that's wrong. Even if it is, the lack of pushback has emboldened the enemy and all but guaranteed we won't get glasnost and people power without a bloody response.

We've been casually dating for about three months and I think there's something there, but her behavior sometimes makes me think otherwise. What should I do?
- On the Fence

Dear On the Fence,
The best thing you can do is to ensure commitment. First, continue courting her. As this proceeds, insinuate yourself with her friends and win them over. If necessary, provide them with cash and weapons. Also select 1-2 of her rivals and do the same. Once you have her friends and some rivals on board, ask her to marry you. If she declines, then unleash your new allies to engage in a pressure campaign. If this fails to change her mind, have your allies lead a frontal assault and lay siege to her home until she capitulates.
Good luck!
- Spook

332 Bit of inside baseball on Jack:

I was offered the Moderna vaccine. I received the first dose in late DEC. I am up for dose 2 this week.
Didn't have any issues on the first dose. barely felt the needle. I recently had a yearly physical and my doc scrutinized all of my lab work- and it all looked outstanding.
one of my co-workers got dose 2 and she had chills, some fever and a headache. it went away after a day. Mrs. Burton's nurse co-workers also had the same experiences on dose 2 but the symptoms went away after a day.

I think if you can get the vaccine, get it. Seems as if the benefits outweigh the cost of getting a nasty strain of the rona and losing the sense of smell and taste. My boss still can't taste and can barely smell after two months.
Imagine never tasting the sweet, sweet nectar that is Valu-Rite Vodka again!

McConnell is a lying grifter and China dupe but he is quite smart and everything he does has one calculation: to remain leader. The most important question to put to any GOP primary senatorial candidate, if you still bother to vote, is whether they will support McConnell as leader.

This is one of the major problems with a corrupt enemedia: you can't tell facts from propaganda. This has been building speed for a long time. Trump pushed back against it, hoping those jizzmops could be shamed into trying to recover some morsel of integrity. Instead they acted like spiteful retarded brats and got even worse.

So who knows what the truth is on the shooter. You'd think big dicked Dan Crenshaw would want to retain some "support the vets" cred by finding out about the murder of one instead of stirring the dust on Liz Cheney's desiccated cooter.

384 Like any vaccine, this one isn't for everyone. If you're in a high-risk group you should strongly consider it. The further away down the mortality chain you are, the less you can make the case for taking it. The people I know that had COVID up to age 30 or so, didn't get it bad. People I know who were older, not in great physical shape did not do too well.

They exposed their goals and the means they used too much and they realize that a lot of smart and dangerous people have no been awakened to the fact that our gov't is not functioning for the nation. Most gov't do stuff mainly to maintain itself. These government and the people running it are doing things that will harm the gov't and the country and it's obvious.

Posted by: Jack Burton, who has seen the groundhog at February 02, 2021 09:20 AM (uezvF)

My take is that it was a bioweapon early in its development cycle that was accidentally released through either incompetence or corrupt practice (such as selling meat from test animals as a side hustle).

The CCP knew what it had and bottled up domestic travel while leaving international travel open, in order to spread the damage to their rivals and maybe create opportunities to exploit.

If this were a fully developed bioweapon, it'd be much more lethal, more targeted at population segments the CCP considers undesirable, and almost surely have a failsafe of some sort, such as an inherent instability that would render it inert after a certain amount of generations (of the virus, not of people).

It still amounts to an intentional deployment (via the lopsided travel restrictions) of a manufactured or altered viral agent against civilian populations, in the pursuit of political or military obiectives.
