The Morning Report - 1/15/21 [J.J. Sefton]

hiltzbide2.jpg

Good morning, kids. Friday and while the top story may be the news that broke last night announcing President Trump's declassifying of Obamagate documents concerning the Hillary Clinton bought-and-paid-for Steele Dossier, the most significant story I think is the Enemy's vote to impeach the President with just scant days remaining in his term. Aside from mere foaming at the mouth rabid hatred of this man, arguably one of the greatest natural leaders and patriots the nation formerly known as America ever produced, there is a rationale behind it: to break the back of the American revival/anti-globalist groundswell that carried him to victory in 2016 AND 2020.

Beyond it's uselessness in practical terms of removing the President prior to noon this coming Wednesday, I think it is a colossal political blunder. If stealing the national election and quite possibly both chambers of Congress wasn't enough, blood-libeling the President and by extension all of us as violent, racist insurrectionists for a "riot" in the Capitol that was caused by agents of the Democrats, and then impeaching him is an absolute outrage. And for key figures in the GOP and far too many backbenchers to willingly go along with this just underscores the futility of conventional party politics, if not explodes it as the myth that it is.

But the premeditated murder of the greatest nation on earth cannot go unanswered. It must not go unanswered. Somehow, some way, some day, there must be some righteous retribution where this nation is restored, the wicked are punished, the corrupt system they ran dismantled and destroyed, and safeguards introduced that prevent this cancer from ever infecting us again. Call it "fundamental transformation," if you will. Sadly, I do not think I will live long enough to see it happen, but we have no choice but to fight.

Until that time, we and our children will face a domestic feral Leviathan that will use its power to control and coerce every aspect of our lives in order to maintain absolute power while lining the pockets of those in charge, as well as a cultural and academic system that played perhaps the central role in putting us in this position. As bad as that is, there's also the totalitarian regime in the Orient hell bent on global hegemony via bribery, espionage and perhaps overt military action, which we will be powerless to stop even if we wanted, considering an alarming number of our political leaders have been in their pocket for years.

I'm not going to lie to you; the situation is very much in doubt.

Oswald Spengler's The Decline of The West, published 1918-1922, laid out the trajectory of the enfeeblement and decay that awaited us, developing a theme that went as far back as the Greek historian Polybius, but that, in the wake of a war that wiped out a generation, seemed less a "theme" than an historically imminent reality. The greatest poet of the modern age, William Butler Yeats, felt it in his bones, working out a visionary schematism in his prose volume A Vision and reflecting on the inevitable in his timeless poem "The Second Coming," written one year after the end of the Great War: "And what rough beast, its hour come round at last/Slouches toward Bethlehem to be born?" Robert Bork's must-read Slouching Towards Gomorrah hammers out Yeats's vision in lurid contemporary detail, pointing toward a "syndrome" of collectivist attitudes dominating the culture, the debilitation of the family structure, and a "left-liberal moral consensus" diluting the text of the U.S. Constitution...

...In the course of time, cowards and parasites -- let us call it the Iscariot function -- will prevail over Great Men and Women. Nation-saviors like Churchill and Thostaer will be cast aside, heroes like Trump will be betrayed by friends and colleagues and openly cheated of re-election. The historical template is Themistocles, the philosophical, Socrates, and the literary, Shakespeare's >. They cannot forestall the vector of decline and will be derided and punished for having tried to do so. As Adams wrote in an April 22, 1776 letter to James Warren, "But I fear, that in every assembly, Members will obtain an Influence, by Noise not sense. By Meanness, not Greatness. By Ignorance not Learning. By contracted Hearts not large souls. I fear too, that it will be impossible to convince and perswade People to establish wise Regulations." And thus do nations and ultimately the civilizations of which they form part subside and vanish as a result of inward rot, the great baulks of timber that hold them up gnawed and crumbling in a myriad of different places.

History, so to speak, can happen here. It has been happening for some considerable time, culminating in the most recent of a long sequence of hammer blows: the fraudulent election of Joe Biden thanks to widespread electoral malfeasance, the advent of rigorous and pervasive censorship protocols, and the ongoing purge of constitutional freedoms. Indeed, it is happening throughout the Western world. Nonetheless, for those of us who still care and recognize the precious muniment we have been given, let the coup de grace happen later instead of sooner. The fight continues on myriad fronts.

Not exactly "happy and peppy and bursting with love" today, am I? And yet, nothing is inevitable. There is still at a minimum a clear (if not vast) majority of people in this country who are not "down for the struggle." 80 million of them, or more, voted to stop the insanity by supporting Trump and the MAGA/America first agenda. This is no longer about party politics. Party politics is dead. This is about good versus evil.

I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere. Come and get me.

_______

Half of that is assured, the other half is no God's hands. There is no doubt whatsoever that whatever system they build will crash in flames. Their policies just don't work, their ideas don't really qualify as "ideas". That much is sure.

Whether we will see the nation restored and safeguards introduced, well, that ain't certain at all. I hope, but am tired of seeing (not here, but at other sites) the attitude that "don't worry, there's a lot of ruin in a nation." Well, yes, there is a lot. But it's not infinite. Who is our ambassador to Venice? We'd be much better off dealing with the Soong than the Xi dynasty, but that's not where we are.

May as well call it like it is. Clear-eyed is a fine start. Venality is at the core of what we are facing and it always surprises me our enemies miss what PDJT represents,. They like to accuse him of the kitchen sink, and us of a cult of personality. They miss that he loves our country more than himself and that are are reformers. Hillary, Obama, Biden, and the uniparty generally... they are corrupt.

25 On the bright side, the Spengler-types with their patterns of history are just seeing images in the clouds. They are all constructing bullshit theories. Have you ever read or listened to a Great Pyramid theorist? It's pretty much the epitome of such attempts.

On the dark side, you have to confront the fact that WE DON'T KNOW what is coming next. Everyone, all the time, is making it up as he goes. Ignorant armies clashing by night.

30 This is no longer about party politics. Party politics is dead. This is about good versus evil.

This is perhaps the most pointedly accurate thing you've ever said, JJ. Party politics has nothing to do with what's happening. They are all operating, to varying degrees, with the same goals in mind. The same agendas. The same end game. The last 50 years has seen America get weaker and weaker and weaker. Americans have lost 100s of 1000s of jobs to overseas locales. We've been corralled. We've been silenced. We've been lorded over by the very people who were sent to Washington to protect our rights, our liberties, our Constitution. Many decades gone by have shown them all to be worthless traitors to the American people. Liars. Treacherous. Treasonous (yes, I mean that). Republican vs. Democrat is a flimsy facade. It isn't real. It doesn't exist.

34 The left is strategically destroying the country. I thought they moved too early with all of the rioting and racism against whites in 2020. But, using Covid to cancel all of our rights and a fraudulent election, they were able to achieve their grand strategy. The money thrown at the two GA dem senators and the coordinated election fraud is powerful evidence of the resources at their disposal.

68 Restaurants Win Lawsuit Challenging Angel of Death Cuomo's Chinese Coronavirus Restrictions, Are Allowed To Reopen

Takeout Only: How California Elites Crushed LA's Local Restaurants
_________

These two stories highlight one reason that, while I do not know if we will succeed, I know they will certainly fail. It has long been just about the #1 talking point for the blue, Davos-run cities, that they have great food. So what do the neo-Marxists do as soon as they can? Kill that.

I do not believe Lenin, or even Stalin, would be so dumb. Mao probably would. Which is sobering. I have long believed that Mao was the worst of the totalitarian bunch. Rotten as the others were, he went beyond, to destroying everything he ruled. You could not even be a "Good Chinese" under him. (BTW, Prager's 2 recent articles are must-read.)

Yeah, that AT shut down the comments thingie is because of Dominion lawyers fighting back hard. They've gone after Rudy, Sidney, Wood, and others, anyone who said a bad thing about Dominion voting systems and software in the 2020 election.
IIRC, 30 states were Dominion, including all of the top 7 or 8 that had those millions and millions of magic Xiden votes.
The machines had so much evidence. That MI red county that was Xiden +3000, to Trump +2500 on a fluke recount for another issue. The Jovan Pulitzer demonstration how he actually logged on to a GA Dominion machine in real time and shuffled votes, when the Dominion president testified it can't be online. And how he can easily show which ballots are fake.
So much corruption. Navarro did an excellent detailing of it. But since no court would hear it on it's merits, anyone who said something bad about Dominion has to publicly eat it, or get sued. They will have to prove it on their own dime. And Dominion has Zuckerburg money to back them, an unlimited budget.
One court that would have done their job would have stopped this.

83 Outside of Holy Scripture, the below is quite possibly the very best paragraph I have ever seen written:
"...Beyond it's uselessness in practical terms of removing the President prior to noon this coming Wednesday, I think it is a colossal political blunder. If stealing the national election and quite possibly both chambers of Congress wasn't enough, blood-libeling the President and by extension all of us as violent, racist insurrectionists for a "riot" in the Capitol that was caused by agents of the Democrats, and then impeaching him is an absolute outrage. And for key figures in the GOP and far too many backbenchers to willingly go along with this just underscores the futility of conventional party politics, if not explodes it as the myth that it is..."

Thank you, JJ. Very much.

86 Back in my day sonny, there was always some well-padded and well-provided-for Big Time Philosopher with a two-year teaching degree who would hold forth every year at the same point in the Everyday Problems curriculum on Spengler. The whole point was always that too much TV and comic books, or sideburns and mustaches, had to GO RIGHT NOW, because, cyclic rise and fall. God they stank. Jockstraps and gym socks.

So a few of us actually looked the son of a bitch up, and what do you suppose. Spengler's teaching was that this cycle was totally deterministic: it was going to happen no matter what you did, and there was nothing you could do to change the process. He had no problem with state socialism. Absolutely the strut-marshal of the terminally ignorant.

If you hear someone cite him as their historical authority, do not walk away.

119 Let's set Trump aside for a moment and talk about Biden. It's all tied up together of course, but looking at *just* the Biden side of the equation is interesting on its own.

In preparation for the coronation, the government:
- Called up a division's worth of troops to Washington D.C.
- Activated the National Guard in all 50 states
- Is prepared to rubber-stamp appointments beginning immediately after Biden is sworn in, to fill those positions within a day or two
- Will spend about $2 trillion in the first month. A quarter of it will go to the UBI scheme that "COVID relief" has become, the rest will go ... somewhere.

And that's just what's already happened or been committed to with a specific timeline. And who are they ostensibly doing this for? Joe Biden. A decrepit old incompetent. The same government that fought Trump tooth and nail over every last thing is clearing the roads - including using the armed forces for domestic suppression - for this guy's cabal. These are actions of contempt and right of power. These are actions of the victors installing their occupation government over the vanquished.

If you demanded a student ID from them, it might only be three.

There are several online-only "publications" that make a living from scanning the Hyde Park Corner posting sites of colleges, to see if a kook showed up (hint: they do, but they are often not actual members of the university), and then running off to all the conservative sites to demand that all colleges be burned by nightfall. Given and lost. It can be regained over time. It took the Russian people 70 years to topple the Soviet Union, which, while also evil, wasn't as insane as the regime here.

I guess the story that most caught my attention was the President of Mexico, an outright socialist who is the first actual friend of this country ever to hold that office, advocating for free speech in the United States. It illustrates how far this country has fallen. As an aside, President Trump and President Obrador are very close.

163 The collapse, when it comes, will not just be governmental; it will be civilizational. The quoted piece above is another look at the current situation, "Everything is Broken". Every institution in our society is broken, and they're all interlocked. We can't fix it because the tools we would use to fix it are also broken.
Government is broken because elections are broken.
Elections are broken because the Courts and laws are broken.
No help from churches or education, because they are broken.
Big Business is the worst of all, they've figured out how to make a short term profit from actively breaking even more.
This society needs to collapse, so something new can be built.

That is what the collapse does - exposes the strong and capable who can take up the mantle of what comes next. Often, those are not good people. Sometimes they are. Rarely, they are excellent people.

It's essentially like widespread bankruptcy. The people who were sensible and saved their capital get to take over the world by buying out the bankrupt for pennies on the dollar (which is why bankruptcy is forbidden now for governments and major corps).

What people forget is that bankruptcy is a way to handle a collapse in an orderly and reasonable fashion, so that the system is maintained. If you do not allow bankruptcy, and things fall apart, then the necessary end is a chaotic collapse and huge amounts of damage in all directions.

213 184 My memory is Socrates isn't quite the wise philosopher unfairly punished as often portrayed. He was partial to the Spartan friendly faction in Athens after their loss in the war and as you could imagine that did not earn him much respect when the Spartan installed oligarchs were overthrown

Posted by: 18-1 at January 15, 2021 08:28 AM (qlFIA)
_______
The question is what were his reasons for supporting the Spartans. He did give them. And not addressing those is precisely the sort of folly he spent his life opposing. And the sort that is, ultimately, the source of our plight today. No one has patience for serious disputations.

216 What people forget is that bankruptcy is a way to handle a collapse in an orderly and reasonable fashion, so that the system is maintained. If you do not allow bankruptcy, and things fall apart, then the necessary end is a chaotic collapse and huge amounts of damage in all directions.

Yes. Bankruptcy is the cleansing fire, and it is an orderly system that replaces the old-fashioned "debt jubilee" that is extremely disruptive and arbitrary. You can avoid it - as we have been, at most levels, for decades - by moving around the deck chairs and looting one group to carry another. But his has the effect of reducing frequency but increasing amplitude. This makes the events brutal and far worse than they need to be. 2008-2009 should have been a wake-up call - the heart attack that forces you to get right or die - but it wasn't. We just did more coke and sucked down more cheeseburgers at even faster rates.

And they can watch unemployment skyrocket, creating yet more tolerance for UBI. This is like punching holes in a ship that is already leaking.

All things have two basic inputs: capital and labor. Some things (like railroads) are inherently capital-intensive and other things (like software development) are inherently labor-intensive, but there is always a mix. Businesses cost-optimize and adjust that mix to the best of their ability.

When you make capital artificially cheap (say, through more than a decade of interest rate repression), you incentivize business toward capital. When you make labor artificially expensive (say, through legal minimum wages set higher than market minimum wages), you incentivize business toward capital.

When you do both at the same time, it makes the incentives bigger. The market *will* find something approaching an unstable equilibrium between these two, but not when all the pressure is slamming into it from one side.

So much corruption. Navarro did an excellent detailing of it. But
since no court would hear it on it's merits, anyone who said something

We agree as to the punch, not the timing. I don't think Trump adequately planned for courts re-writing election law, and allowing executives to do the same, right up until the day of the elections.

In other words, I don't think he anticipated just how deeply the courts were captured.

We are duty bound to do everything we can to resist it, and to use all of our might to fight it - but in the end we will be destroyed, along with everything we hold dear. I suppose it's a consolation that the other side will be destroyed as well, leaving nothing but a wasteland behind.

I'm put in mind of a line from "Lion in Winter", when they think they're about to be killed and Geoffrey tells Richard "You fool! As if it matters how a man ends." Richard replies, "When the end is all there is, it matters."

Well Dominion had enough time and successfully wiped their machines, some say the TN bombing did it, others just think the inability of the GOP and the Obama forever FBI refusing even a cursory investigation just gave them the time to do it. AT is issuing an apology to Dominion and they're suing others. The opportunity was squandered and the window is closed. Thanks Barr, Wray, and GOPe. I suppose the next step will be to get the feds to force the taxpayers to fund elections as I doubt Nikki and Mitch will get oligarchs of their own, but hell, they may just make Chinese contributions legal for campaigns and not just payoffs.

My guess is that they realized very early on that whatever fraud existed was in the anonymous mail-in ballots which would take a year or more to fully investigate and there was no politically acceptable remedy even if they were to prove it immediately. No court is going to throw out all mail-in ballots because a portion are fake. The question for me is why they decided on the catastrophic strategy of undermining Republicans faith in the voting systems themselves instead of focusing on the volunteers with access to blank ballots.

I think they gambled and won. The gamble was that they commit any degree of fraud necessary, however obvious and clear, and get away with it. If this worked out (and it has), then elections no longer matter. They'll still have them, but the outcomes can be pre-ordained in enough cases that they have no relevance. They don't care about being found out because they're now in command.

That was the bet: that they can do it, that they can get away with it, and that it will not result in open rebellion and civil war.

They won all three parts of the gamble. It is so audacious that even I (cynical as I am) didn't think they'd go this far. I never imagined that "elections don't matter and everyone knows it" was on the table. But it was.

Right. This is why any talk about DeSantis or Noem or whomever is nonsense. There is no fitting response to the smothering terror in store for us through the current practices and personalities of our politics.

Trump was our last chance at a conventional solution. Ironically, despite his eccentric and bumptious idioms, Trump was in fact old-fashioned politics at its best. He made a grand effort to "work the system."

What we require may not be observable at the moment, but it will appear. The needs of humanity and civilization will produce it.

The enemedia has taken full advantage of their Constitutional protections, which is really no more than you or I have because the Founders knew that pamphleteers tended to be sometimes assholes and seditious loons, and divided the country. Trump understood that but his so called party included fellatio fans of Chris Wallace like Ben Sassy Pants and the reincarnation of McCain in Crenshaw.

On the other hand, there are a lot of districts where the citizens are just learning about their traitor of congressperson. A Trump supporter will emerge to primary them and their loyalty will be pretty easy to check through their social media during these times.

If Trump decides to stay in politics, he can continue his rallies throughout the country, raise money and back local candidates to take back the house and senate in two years.

I don't know. How do you know they won't lie like the brilliant replacement for Justin Amash? Anyone can say they support Trump's policies, but as we have so often seen, when they get the opportunity to enact these policies, the speeches end and nothing is done.

In the 80s, you could have bought MSFT. In the 90s, you could have bought AMZN. In the 00s, you could have bought GOOG (or Domino's Pizza, for that matter. It actually did almost as well). In the 10s, you missed the boat on Bitcoin.

So what. There is always - always - an opportunity out there. One is definitely coming again.

All the more reason to join a coordinated effort to replace federal, state and local officials with Trump supporters. Soros used his money to seat a group of district attorneys. It's easier if you have a dedicated voting block.

AOC won her district with about 11% of the people voting. If there is a concerted effort by Trump voters, we could turn dozens of districts that are normally blue.

442 I find it really irritating when so-called conservative writers insist that Bite-Me won the election. What a bunch of crap. Stealing via massive, coordinated voter fraud is not winning - it is a coup. This coup was preceded by months of leftist violence, serial lies by the LSM - lies so bad that Goebbels would blush, and was aided and abetted by the DemoNazis in congress.
The event that was called an election in Nov 2020 was a coup and it should always be referred to in that fashion. We are not a free nation any longer, we are under occupation by a violent, Constitution hating enemy that wants those who advocate for a return to our Constitutional Republic to be silenced or dead. These so called calls for unity are the equivalent of a duck call in a hunter's mouth and will have the same results.

446 Determinism like we are all doomed ignores the fact of free will. And if you are Christian, despair is a sin.
We do have a choice. Far too much study has been on the Fall of Rome due to its importance to Western Europe. But, in the West, little study of the Eastern Roman Empire and we find several periods where they revived and staunched the flow. Essentially they lasted nearly 1000 years beyond the fall of Rome despite being surrounded by enemies. Similar stories can be found in China where the Chinese were apparently conquered but ended up controlling things in the long run.
Now what does that mean in real terms, become resilient yourself which means being flexible--be water instead of stone if you like Eastern metaphors and with as much insulation as you can from the monsters running amuck.
Politically, go small--create neighborhoods of real people by organizations. Tend to your immediate family. The hard economic times coming will help. That means you MUST get involved in local politics and ideally outside of the normal party machinery. Instead, create blocs of voters from your community. Again, Take Back Your Government by R.A. Heinlein is a guidebook.

456 To continue, DeTocqueville noted that voluntary associations of all sorts were a strength of American society. But, by the 90's, Robert Putnam in his Bowling Alone and others found that by and large Americans were abandoning these organizations in favor of spending time in front of the TV. Now, add the Internet to that mix and we see organizations literally converged and falling apart. Part of that is infiltration. Leftists infected with their 'ideals' will try to hijack any organization usually from the top down. So, there must be continuous purging of leftists from the organizations built for other purposes. Similarly, you will get those trying to cynically use an organization as a feeding ground for selling something. Need to have rules on that. Go forth and create non-political and political organizations.
The real reason that campaigns cost so much is that much of it is diverted into grifting for the leeches attached to political party organizations--robocalls, mailers, ads, and campaign services (law, fundraising, etc.). A low tech people oriented campaign of simply talking to voters with volunteers bypasses the grifting of Party, Inc. and is much more effective.

467 The Georgia races were lost in part by Mitch McConnell, probably on purpose. Both candidates were leading in the polls until Mitch killed the $2000 dollar stimulus. On purpose.

PDT, if anything, probably made those races closer as it was rural voters that have decided that the GOP Inc. hates them.

PDT also did not pick the loser Loeffler as candidate--that came straight from Kemp-GOPe and Mitch. In addition, GOPe SOS and Gov. did nothing to stop voter fraud during the runoff including enforcing a GA law that requires one to have voted in the general election in order to vote in the runoff. Oh, yes, they signed off on a consent decree that they would not enforce the law.

Few and damn far between. Lee Hamilton was one. But he's a product of a by-gone age. Society has elevated politicians into an aristocracy. And they're most definitely acting the part.

472 461 Captain Hate, thanks for the Norwich book title. Will have to get that.

Byzantium rose and nearly fell several times but resolute leadership at the right time fixed it plus a cynical realism in foreign policy at key times.

The whole Byzantine civil war over icons reminds me of what is going on now. The left group is bound and determined that their 'religious' views will be forced on the other.

They rejected the Tea Party wave. It's no surprise they rejected Trump. Well - I guess it was a shock to the GOP Apologists who denied it was happening right up to the bitter end.

476 Ridiculous. He's been more generous and selfless with his political praise and energies than any president I can remember. He has a healthy ego but if he didn't he wouldn't have accomplished what he has. In fact, the real ego problem was in the rest of the party that couldn't accept the talents and vision of an outsider.

482 479 Pierre, you are correct but it is already happening anyway--either the GOP becomes populist as the corporations and their oligarchs turn left or it dies.

The dinosaurs in the party like McConnell do not get that the CONservative Inc. love for Big Business is now dead. Instead, corporations exploitation of labor, trade, government subsidies, are being viewed as a direct threat to people's lives, safety, and political rights.

You know the real irony in all that you said ? There is a shit pot of the 1980s DNC platform that we take as true now. Except the DNC moved on - and now they embrace a shit-pot of what they used to campaign against. I agree with your paragraph - and if we were saying that shit in the late 70s, the DNC would have swung the doors right open and said come on in.

488 It dawns on me that the left leaders: local, state and federal, have been trying for a long time to incite Trump supporters to riot, so they could initiate their intolerable acts. Not that they think their rules are intolerable....

Either resist and they use it as a pretext to drop the hammer - or don't resist and they draw the noose a little tighter. Classic heads they win, tails we lose.

491 466 Trump was a breath of fresh air but there's no getting around the fact that he's got a huge ego and *everything* has to be about him.
Posted by: CppThis at January 15, 2021 09:55 AM (zcf1k)

You know why? Because if he never mentioned and took credit for the stuff he did, nobody would. Not to mention, if you're a politician at that level, you're a narcissist to the highest degree by default.

Posted by: Grip the Weasel at January 15, 2021 10:25 AM (KbCG3)

492 I'm just fine with his ego! If he didn't state his accomplishments, who else would? The media? He has been the best president in my lifetime!

Posted by: AnnaS at January 15, 2021 10:36 AM (l4l/z)

493
If Trump is a narcissist and egomaniac, what in the holy hell do you consider Obama?!

The bottom line is the accomplishments. In the last analysis, Trump achieved more, delivered more prosperity and freedom for more people, with less help and in less time than any president ever.

His greatest achievement? Exposing the sham that is our political system and the Deep State tyranny that did hijack the nation. At least for now.

I got the doctors Emailsbuba.herbalmiraclemedicine@gmail.com ) on the internet and i emailed him, and he got back to me with some encouraging words, he got me some herbs cream which i use for just 8 days and i began to feel the enlargement of my penis, and without surgery.
