Gallup: Congress at a 15% Approval Rating

Boy, it's almost as if the public's wishes were ignored -- somehow -- in the previous " " " election " " ".

@MZHemingway

Congressional approval at 15% according to Gallup. 60% in another poll say impeachment is a waste of $/time. 77% wish Congress were working on Coronavirus, not impeachment. And 80% of GOP voters in battleground states say they'd be less likely to vote GOP who support impeachment.

But on the subject of the Legacy GOP vs the Trumpers, bless him, he really does not seem to see how much the Legacy hate the MAGA people. They are all cousin Eddies that need to be purged. And the MAGA people feel rightfully betrayed and are NeverGOP at this point. He fears Republicans principles and victories will wander in the political wilderness for years unless the two sides can reconcile. Good luck with that.

The Federal Government employs about 9 million people. The state and local governments get you about another 14.8 million people.

Out of a country of 350 million, that totals up to 6.8% of the population as government employees of some stripe. You're already halfway there on approval, assuming that all of them approve. It's probably better than half but not total - but with the size of the government workforce you'll *never* see congressional (or government in general) approval below 5%.

I mentioned at that time - and I stand by it, and this is another indicator - that the response findings are less important than the fact that the question is being asked *at all.* If you're to the point that you're seriously asking that question to broad segments of the population, something is already very wrong.

107 Fake news. No way it's that high. I don't know anyone, anywhere who approves of the Congress. Even if they secretly did, they'd never say so in public. It's practically a universal thing in this country: nobody but nobody would let one of these scoundrels within 500 yards of their home if he had the choice.

Here's a thought experiment: what if someone (the Right, the Left, anyone) poured their whole political grassroots efforts, en masse, into funding and propagating a "Brewster's Millions" type campaign for a "None of the Above" write-in, down the ballot?

I'd have always jumped on that. I despise nearly all politicians practically as an autonomic nervous function. I'd have pounded pavement and handed out flyers for that. Now, I bet a lot more people would be interested in it, though.

But the Uniparty electioneering machine would just hide the results of course, so it's only a thought experiment.

I have two minds on the impeachment thing. People are finding this odd and wondering what is really up.

1 - could be a game of chicken. A threat to Trump if he releases declassified info. This is making them shake in their boots. Which means it is THAT bad. That is why they are threatening impeachment AFTER he leaves office. Trump could release this at one minute to midnight the day before... So turtle and the other demons are trying to stop him from doing it. Game of chicken. No clue what it would show. Chy na's interference or world interference in the election fraud, covid scare/hoax, the pedo rings, the cultists, which agencies were involved domestically, all of the dem-gop uniparty plans. You can go on and on. They are all so dirty.

2 - Or, it will show without a doubt that chy-na released a bio weapon on us. Not an accident.

or all of the above

191 The Red Sox legend tweeted: 'We will be just fine, but wanted to let Americans know that @AIGinsurance canceled our insurance due to my 'Social Media profile'.'

Schilling - who goes by 'President Elect Curt Schilling' on Twitter - had last week shared his thoughts on the siege at the Capitol, saying the rioters started 'confrontation for sh*t that matters'.

He tweeted: 'You cowards sat on your hands, did nothing while liberal trash looted rioted and burned for air Jordan's and big screens, sit back, stfu, and watch folks start a confrontation for s**t that matters like rights, democracy and the end of govt corruption. #itshappening.'

After some followers questioned his claims about AIG Tuesday, Schilling replied with a screenshot of his alleged correspondence with the company. He later said he was a 'AAA customer with zero claims in our 17 years with them'.

The screenshot read in part that canceling Schilling's insurance plan was 'a management decision that was made collectively between underwriting and marketing teams that could not be overturned.'

"The Cadaver Synod (also called the Cadaver Trial; Latin: Synodus Horrenda) is the name commonly given to the ecclesiastical trial of Pope Formosus, who had been dead for about 7 months, in the Basilica of St. John Lateran in Rome during January 897. The trial was conducted by Pope Stephen VI, the successor to Formosus' successor, Pope Boniface VI. Stephen had Formosus' corpse exhumed and brought to the papal court for judgment. He accused Formosus of perjury and of having acceded to the papacy illegally. At the end of the trial, Formosus was pronounced guilty and his papacy retroactively declared null."

The unprecedented inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will feature a Jan. 20 primetime TV special hosted by Tom Hanks, following a day of ceremonies, in what the inaugural team is calling a capstone to "showcase the American people's resilience, heroism, and unified commitment to coming together." . .

Ant Clemons, Jon Bon Jovi, Demi Lovato and Justin Timberlake will all perform. Clemons and Timberlake will sing their Better Days, which they wrote.

Biden's inaugural team said the special "will highlight the strength of our democracy, the perseverance of our people, and our ability to come together during trying times and emerge stronger than ever before."

"The program will celebrate American heroes who are helping their fellow Americans through this crisis, including frontline workers, health care workers, teachers, citizens giving back, and those who are breaking barriers," organizers said in the news release.

It was a big military chopper - not sure which one, as I caught just a glimpse before it disappeared. Yesterday, an Apache flew over the house just as I got home. We're on a flight path to the airport, so I'm used to seeing the bellies of planes close up, but it was interesting because there's no base anywhere near here.
I know it's just coincidence. Now, excuse me while I try to fold this sheet of foil into a snazzy hat.

358 congressional approval has been about 20% when?

And yet the beltway manages to smear and outspend primary challengers and same batch of grifters stays in office until they die. Wake me up when people are willing to do something as easy as get in the car, get on the freeway during rush hour and tap the brakes or drive 1 mph over the posted lower limit to protest the crazy train injustice of declaring DJT and 500K or so peaceful rally attendees instead of responding "I don't approve of congress" to a survey. Big WHOOP doing that.

393 307 Ironically, as I finished my last post, I heard the distinctive thump-thump of a large helicopter flying over my house. Not unusual, since we're near a hospital and there's a big air crane service based at the airport, but I'm always curious to see what's flying.
========
There has been an awful lot of aerial traffic for about 3 days now, bouncing from base to base or performing standard maneuvers at accelerated numbers and occurrences. It's attracted attention from certain people on Trump's side of the great national argument. Something's up, for sure!

Hasn't anyone wondered why Trump couldn't get more done over the past 4 years? The deep state and RINOs have been working against everything we're for.

Trump still has 75 to 80 million supporters. All he has to do is find a way to communicate and continue with rallies. If someone wants to run for congress, the senate or state office, they have two choices. Present themselves and their pro-Trump credentials for his endorsement or go to the GOP. 428 366 Max Power,
Planning depends on the short, the medium, and long run and your location.

Regarding finances--you have to make a choice. If you struggle and become self sufficient with cash in the bank, you will have to figure out someway to protect your assets--talk to a fee paid financial planner. The easier the property is to take from you, the more you should consider that government will do so for your own good. The other way is to simply ride the debt and wait for the crash. Consider moving to Fla before a bankruptcy crash in that case as Fla bankruptcy laws are more generous than many other locations.

Second, if you are truly caught up in the system as needing it for some reason or the other, you need to exit the tech world immediately and be a turtle. Otherwise, VPN's (PC Mag has a good review of them every year) might be a good thing. Unless you are sending stuff you should not via email (unwise at best), encrypted email simply alerts that you have something interesting to hide. If you do have one, use it sparingly and unless the other recipient either has encryption or is on the same service, it might be compromised anyway.

The military support dies at the field level when the bodies of uncles, fathers, sisters, friends and mothers start to pile up. When that hellfire takes out 7-year-old American children as "collateral damage." When their families angerly disown them as monsters and traitors.

431 Trump still has 75 to 80 million supporters. All he
has to do is find a way to communicate and continue with rallies. If
someone wants to run for congress, the senate or state office, they have
two choices. Present themselves and their pro-Trump credentials for
his endorsement or go to the GOP. The Trump candidate will win in a
midterm environment with a massive turnout.

432 All these descriptions: "Assault on the Capitol", "Storming of the Capitol" "Sack of the Capitol" are way too over-the-top for what was little more than a boisterous romp through an office building. We shouldn't be buying in to the Left's attempt to make it seem like TheWorstDesecrationOfAllTimeOMG!!!!!! The Z-man on his blog called it "The Epiphany Protest" and I think that hits the right note. It was a protest, nothing more. No one was in danger of being murdered (until the Gestapo goon opened fire) and nothing was in danger of being burned down.

I'm really about ready for action too [Note to NSA jock sniffer, that doesn't mean combat, dumbass]. I can't believe there's not some interest out there in getting some networks together to actually build some of our own things and circumvent the blockade. 444 Third, get yourself in shape, access to medical care is at risk for deplorables (see how Covid vaccines are distributed in some states for example). Consider access to mail order pharmacies in other countries or going on a jaunt to Mexico or Canada periodically. Start figuring that you might need to go out of country for some operations if needed so read up on places to do that. Latin America often has quite good dental care for a lot less than here for expensive operations but remember buyer beware as you cannot sue them effectively for malpractice.

IF possible, have alternative power--if the green new deal goes through--it will be something like California and much of the third world. Your power will be shut off now and again so you need alternative generative power for the house. Likewise on heating which is even more important. Electric only houses are uninhabitable in winter in a lot of places if the power goes down. I would also hyper insulate your house--low hanging fruit that gives the greatest bang per buck.

Learn to fix your cars and mechanical devices. Poor countries manage to keep stuff running, learn how to yourself.

VPNS are useful to avoid common criminals as well if you have online financial accounts.

If you are really paranoid, there are ways to keep on the down low--e.g. book codes and teh like, stenography, and so on and double encipher techniques. The stuff and information to do that is out there. But, if assume that everything is out there already compromises you, it is kind of pointless to go Top Secret now. They already have you.

This entire thing, the coverage and the over the top rhetoric, is a psyop designed to get you thinking you are crazy. You are not. Don't despair and blackpill yourself. Yes, the GOP needs to be cleaned out of the cucks/third party needs to form, but we do have like 40% of the country as voters, and the establishment has to split the 60%, meaning eventually we will win. NO BLACKPILLING.

They don't give two hot shits what we want. Their only issue is that we're even allowed to have an opinion in the first place.

459 Congress doesn't care. They get re-elected no matter how low is their approval rating. Plus now that honest elections are over, the voters matter even less than before.

This is on us by the way We the People. For decades we have hated Congress and still 98% of them are re-elected no matter what. No wonder they are crooked, venal and hild us in contempt. I hold the people of Utah in contempt for electing Romney. I hold Arizona and So Carolina in contempt for the McCain/Graham Quisling duo. Those are the contemptible GOP. Imagine how much more contemtible are the many Democrat thugs and commies.
