National Review's Andy McCarthy: It Was Impeachable for Trump to Give a Speech to Protesters

You're going to be finding out that a lot of things previously thought wholly legal are now criminal.

Remember, they're imposing authoritarian rule and a regime of political prosecutions in order to save our country from authoritarianism.

It has been my experience that most government-worker "conservatives" are government workers first, foremost, and forever.

Government "conservatives" have a great deal of nearly-cult-like pride for having merely been hired to work in the civil service, and therefore a tremendous amount of sympathy for the dominant mode of thought of the civil service, which is very partisan Democrat and very ideologically liberal.

I don't mean the political hires brought in every four years to man the policy-direction parts of government.

I mean the career civil servants.

And obviously, not all government workers are part of the Civil Service Cult.

But if you detect a lot of smugness over the mere fact that they passed the Civil Service Test, you're mostly likely dealing with someone who treats the liberal bureaucracy as if it's more family than his actual family.

Witness Andy McCarthy's three-year-long vouching for Robert Mueller and all of his Angry Democrats.

These people are hugely egotistical. And they derive the majority of their ego's validation from being one of the many tens of thousands of people working for the US government.

Working for the US Government is a major pillar of ego support for them. Ergo, it is nigh-impossible that anyone else working for the US Government could be incompetent, unethical, or criminal.

Trust these snakes at your own risk.

National Review's Jim Geraghty is also demanding impeachment and the 25th Amendment on FaceBook.

Pretty much they're demanding two different things:

1, "Unity,"

and 2, a Night of Long Knives.

Still radio silence about the open, nearly sexual gushing on behalf of violent protesters from the team they voted for for the White House:

Like I said, we're going to be discovering a lot of previously noncriminal behavior is actually criminal, and it is Conservative, Inc. -- thirsting for power and influence -- who will be the very-eager enforcers for the left.

You will not see any chin-wagging about civil rights coming from National Review, Heritage, Commentary, etc. when it comes to the punishment and imprisonment of political wrongthinkers.

They're so invested in a "Peaceful Transfer of Power" that they're salivating at the prospect of imprisoning the president and his family.

And then they wonder: Gee, why he is so reluctant to step down from power?

I mean, yeah, we're going to put him and his family and his friends in jail.

But seriously, why won't he let us?!?!

Now I'm a contractor working for a federal agency, but I figure I have two to three years to get set up with something else. First step is paying off the last of my debt, and getting the hell out of VA.

9 Two weeks ago, people could be depressed at the idea the Supreme Court would backstab us.

Today we should be elated. Because if we had to, we could wipe out everyone facing us. And thanks to Donald Trump, we now know how much power the enemy actually has. Facebook and Twitter unpersoned the President, but only the dumbest think this is over.

Get hyped.

I already know who thinks Trump is so awful that he cannot be allowed to continue to exist. And I already know that this extends to any of us who do not agree with them that Trump is the Worst Person Ever. I don't need any further proof.

Also has anyone checked to see if McCarthy ever once prosecuted anyone for voter fraud? You know, since he thinks it's so serious and all and it used to be his job to prosecute it. Maybe he did and thus I'll stop snarking at him. But I have my doubts.

what was the high crime or misdemeanor during the "Ukrainan Phone call"? There was none. Meanwhile, Joe Biden broke the law by corruptly selling influence through his son to Ukraine and the Chi-coms. And lied about it.

But Andy McCarthy and the NR girly men are A-OK with that. Joe Biden's a hell of a conservative!

My observations: While standing around at both the Ellipse and the Hill, topics of conversation around me were about 50% politics (election, COVID, masks) and 50% regular topics (town/state they were from, kids, jobs, etc).

Antifa infiltrators were pretty easy to spot - not only were they dressed unlike everyone else (either all in black with all kinds of accoutrements hanging off of belts and shoulder harnesses, or full camouflage uniform), but you could see it in their faces. Everyone looked serious or angry, but if eye contact was made, a smile or a softening around the eyes would happen. Not these guys - cold, hard stares. (1/2)

I don't remember him saying so, but I seem to recall reports that he was marching with the group to congress. But wasn't there when they arrived, so I'm guessing that was wrong?

The plan in congress, if there was one, was allegedly to challenge some of the states so that finally some evidence could be presented, but I've seen no indication any evidence showed up there. Blame whoever, but that certainly didn't go as sold (and there's no real indication that was due to the postponing of the 'debate').

Government "conservatives" have a great deal of nearly-cult-like pride for having merely been hired to work in the civil service, and therefore a tremendous amount of sympathy for the dominant mode of thought of the civil service, which is very partisan Democrat and very ideologically liberal."

I can attest. During the Tea Party, I personally heard many nasty things said about the movement, and wishcasting about prosecutions, from US Attorneys with whom I worked. Democrats? Nope. Liberals? Nope. Establishment GOP? Betcha.
In fact, it makes sense that these types, who play court jester/kapo for their left-wing employers and coworkers, would act the same when they transition to a propaganda rag or into politics.
As for McCarthy, he is a straight up fascist. The term is used too much, but here it fits perfectly. He is not a man you would want anywhere near a prosecutor's office. He IS Comey and Mueller, a punk and thug with a law license and armed thugs.

There's a lot to this; many facets. Part of it is the Republican Establishment reasserting its power to choose Republican nominees (and immediately stamp out any primary challengers with the help of Fake News calling them "racist" and "far right.")

Someone I trust and who would access to the information told me that money was very hard to raise for the Georgia run-offs. The Establishment GOP really wants Trump gone, they hate us, but since losing corporate donors to the Democrats we cannot be cut loose, either. This bullshit is to try to cow us and make us fall in line and open our wallets again. All it is doing is throwing fuel on the fire, and I'm kind of cool with that.

I saw a few broken windows, and some broken furniture.

Hard to say who broke the furniture, since capitol police used it to set up barricades inside the building.

Oh, and someone was walking around with Pelosi's lectern, posing for pictures. Which was pretty funny. I doubt he broke it or left the building with it though. From what I saw, damage was pretty minimal.
Which means we will hear that it was tens of millions of dollars in damages.

Which means we will hear that it was tens of millions of dollars in damages.

He served the State. He wrote a column for NRO at times, which helped himself brand himself as a "Republican". Worked with a lot of Democrats in the DoJ. It was all branding to spread his sloppy intellectual tripe all over the place.

The DoJ has been really rotten since the Clinton gang showed up. Was nothing to brag about before. We have lived with a rotten government for a longer time than we imagine, although a lot of us are waking up to that fact now.

No, you're right. They are very specific with what pictures they use, the lighting, the camera angle, and how the film is digitally "developed."

Like how Obama always had a halo around him back in 2008, and they always made Trump look way oranger and angrier and fatter then he looked in person.

Having dated millennial women for all of my life, I've come to learn how a little change in posture or camera angle can totally change how a person looks in a picture.

If you know what I suspect you know you know that some of the quietly most powerful people at the table are seemingly innocuous types who are highly educated and not terribly wise.

Several jobs people think are "pogue a claus" actually have pretty grim black hat mirror taskings to go with their "nicest guys in the force" white hat jobs.

There is a reason civil affairs, and PAOs have the clearances they do.

356 the videos I saw, the cops basically removed any barricades. As long as cops stood there, the people stopped, then the cops moved, and the people advanced. The one with the cop on the stairs was like red light green light game. He'd turn and face, they stop, he turns and goes upstairs, they go up with him, he turns again, they stop. There was no real pushing their way past the cops. Not sure what happened at the top, or where they got in ... I'd guess that was also antifa, aided by cops. I'm sure we will get full answers ... ha.
