Another Lockdown Happy Democrat Governor -- This Time, Governor Gina Raimondo of Rhode Island -- Caught Eating in Restaurant Without a Mask the Day After Telling Citizens Serfs to Stay Home

Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo sparked criticism this week after she was photographed attending a wine and paint event at a Providence bar just four days after urging others to avoid nonessential activities. "Please, stay home except for essential activities & wear a mask anytime you're with people you don't live with," the Democratic governor tweeted to her 92,000 followers on Dec. 7. On Dec. 11, Mrs. Raimondo was spotted with her husband, Andy Moffit, at a wine and paint night hosted at Barnaby's Public House downtown. While the photo, taken by Erica Oliveras, shows Mrs. Raimondo not wearing a mask, Ms. Oliveras insisted that the governor only removed her mask to eat and drink. ... Under Rhode Island's pause, indoor recreational facilities, entertainment venues and gyms are closed until at least Monday. Bar areas will remain closed and places of worship and other venues of assembly will still be regulated at 25% maximum capacity even after the pause is lifted.But see this wasn't a "bar area," because there was painting. But it also wasn't a "recreational facility," because there was wine. Shut up, Serfs, and stop asking insolent questions of your Masters. I believe the person who took the picture is an employee of the restaurant. Who is now, no doubt, being told to cover up for the governor. Yeah, she always had her mask on except for the few instances we have photographic proof of. In the moments we have perfect documentation of, she wasn't wearing a mask. But trust us, she was wearing a mask in all the moments for which we do not have photographic evidence.
In the picture below, she is not wearing a mask, despite neither eating nor drinking. In fact, she doesn't even have the mask pulled down or pulled off to the side. It's just missing entirely.
But no matter, Serf. You will believe, Serf, what your Overlords and Masters instruct you to believe. By the way, the governor might also have been exposed to Covid when she was out for a wild night of fingerpainting and pinot.

The problem with that is the left wants you to do exactly that. All of their programs are designed to fail and fail so spectacularly that the bring some aspect of the civilian financial world down with them. Which they will then replace with a government-controlled version and never allow the private one back into existence.
I think we should do the opposite. For everything the government only provides we should fight to have a private version, or at least a local state version. This sounds difficult but what if instead of paying federal taxes we paid the same if not a little more to local private organizations that supplanted what big fed gov might threaten to take away from us.
If they want to shove an overpowered oligarchy down our throats let's starve them to death with a wide and varying feudal system. We can get back to a republic easier from the latter than we could from the former.

The French revolution wasn't a peasant revolt. It was an urban elite (but not able to partake in existing graft and government jobs) revolt. Peasants participate more in counterrevolution and were big supporters of Napoleon. About the only time a peasant revolt was successful is Dithmarschen.

The only way these people don't win re-election is if their own party decides to knife them and put in someone even worse. The election machinery is well under control. Currency, liquidity, banking in general needs to be cut off from centralized fed sources. You're saying the government would fight this? Hell yes! Start thinking in those terms. What does the government fear? Irrelevancy, weakness, being powerless <-- do the things that have that as a result. Is there a high cost to it? Probably. Would it be more painful than what the left has in store for us though? I don't think so.

I remember reading analysis of modern financial life from the leftist point of view that said that because the Gini Coefficient between rich and poor was greater now than before the French Revolution, that meant that a revolution was soon to come to eat the rich.
I scoffed because, unlike pre-Revolutionary France, American and the west wasn't full of starving people.
Well, the elite are making people starve now, on purpose, and they're flaunting their status at the same time.
I think the special ingredient has been added to the pot, and there could end up being some kind of revolution at hand.

They actually WANT the right to rise up in violent revolution. Because it serves their goal of chaos and the destruction of Western Civilization. Plus, before they themselves get lined up against the wall by their own comrades, they get to shoot a few kneeling Kulaks in the back of the neck.
Which is not to say that we shouldn't consider it at some point (we aren't there yet, and despite some blowing-off-steam hyperbole, I'm praying we never get there), but we need to understand that if we go to the mattresses, we are doing what they want us to do. That's going to have an impact on how we go about it.

In all honesty, I'm surprised that someone hasn't started a "Squeal on Your Betters" app, that-
allows people to let others know when one of Our Betters is out in the wild flaunting their status.
And then a crowd could form to pelt them with rotten fruit, vegetables, and eggs.
They'd get the message pretty soon, I think. Maybe not.
But, people don't have to go all shooty and blow-uppy to get their message across.

Some of the best proof we have of the corruption of voting machines is from Antrim MI. We only learned about that corruption and wholesale switching and dropping of votes because everyone in the process there is a Republican and the county is heavily Republican. The ONLY reason they did a hand recount on their own was because the results came out so heavily for Biden that they were literally unbelievable. When I shut down my Twitter account I dug into that and studied it. Supposedly when you deactivate the account it stays there for a month or two and you can re-activate when you wish. Then, they claim if you do not, it is permanently deleted and all your posts are gone. How true that is, I do not know.
I tried several "delete your tweet" online sites, and one of them got rid of some, but they all have serious limitations and you have to pay to get them to delete more. And even then, are they really gone or just in a backup somewhere?

Fair point about Haiti. I didn't even consider slave revolts which would include Sparta as well. But on balance, commoner revolts are usually crushed. They're sometimes a precursor to revolts by members of the elite class though which can result in changes(main issue popular revolts usually have is lack of leadership and organization, not numbers).

That's kind of where I've been the last couple months. We keep saying, "Well, let the voters have it good 'n hard. They asked for it." Did they? Did they really? Because given the scope of the steal, and this isn't the first (just the most extreme), we may have been suffering through fraudulent elections for decades.
How many Houses have flipped due to more localized fraud? Think of that impact by itself? Look what Pelosi has done with her tenure. All the way to fraudulent, conspired impeachment/coup. So this stuff has almost assuredly been happening for... generations?
I don't think I'm exaggerating anymore. We haven't been getting what we voted for - good or bad - for a long time. So I'm less inclined to say, well, yeah, we voted our way into this. I'm not convinced we really have except in the literal, technical sense.

Elections can be one tool in the box, albeit a weak tool and primarily useful only at the local level. The courts are easily bullied and ineffectual. We are post-electoral politics at this point. Look at how dissidents in past totalitarian regimes worked toward change, and copy the better models and think of new methods that would work under the current facts and circumstances. Disenfranchisement is not new, but the in-your-face nature of this fraud is something unique.

I wanted to say thank you to all for your prayers for my health.
I am doing much better. My next oil check with the pulmonologist is in 3 months and my O2 use is as needed during the day and I am to use it when I sleep.
I got a pulse oximeter to monitor things and my numbers are definitely normal when I am resting on room air.
No endurance to actually do anything as yet and I do still have a nasty cough and scratchy voice, but am back to work.

It is ridiculous. Jack read the source material and explained the procedures that were supposed to follow the revelations. He offered his predictions about what would happen and those were wrong. You know, sort of like us thinking the candidate who gets more votes than the other guy at the state level wins that state. All of us have been disabused of the notion that the system allegedly in place still exists. I would have been happy to be wrong. I think the problem a lot of people had is the inability of Jack to see what was happening. It is ridiculous. Jack read the source material and explained the procedures that were supposed to follow the revelations. He offered his predictions about what would happen and those were wrong. You know, sort of like us thinking the candidate who gets more votes than the other guy at the state level wins that state. All of us have been disabused of the notion that the system allegedly in place still exists. Ace didn't post his Thanksgivinsmanship essay this year, which I think just one more way in which 2020 has been uniformly awful--it's a great post ace and you should make it an annual tradition.
But, I think we also need the wisdom and wit of ace and the horde regarding victory strategies for lame team-building exercises.

I worked at a down town convenience store (bodega, for you in NYC) and several nights a week a flock of lovely young things in tight outfits would come in slightly bedraggled and buy ice cream. Turns out they were attending a fitness class and celebrated after their heroic workout with a treat. Which seemed counterproductive, but the view was nice.

Thanks. Good to know. I have family in Oregon, friends moving to WA in the near future, and family in western CO, so Idaho would be a decent location to be close to all of them. Especially as my parents aren't getting any younger.
I figure the next step is Austin at the end of 2021, so the earliest I could leave Texas would be in late 2023.

Jackstraw was well informed on a lot of the issues being investigated. He tried to be informative and truthful about a lot of the issues.
He was, unfortunately, overly optimistic of the process. I wish he HAD been right. I really do.
The corrosive cynicism that we are all caught up in now is really not very pleasant.
To paraphrase..."This business will get out of hand and we will be lucky to live through it"

I don't see any reason to knock JS for being optimistic. Who wants the country to fail? We love this country, and if JS is wrong it's over. This does not make everyone who has resigned the USA to the dustbin better, or even more informed.
I'm not done yet, more comes out every day on the steal. Sure you have to look for it, but it's there... I hold out hope because I don't want this grand experiment to end quite yet. I also know there are millions like me.. enough that they are activly silencing us. If it was all in the bag they wouldn't need to be so obvious. Anyway, Don't be mad at JS because you wanted to believe too. It's not over yet.

But what did annoy me about Jackstraw, was after it was apparent that Trump wasn't getting the election, and that Jackstraws prediction was wrong, was he bizarrely doubled down and said that he was still right, but that it wasn't his fault, because Biden cheated and no-one could have foreseen that, and also, that he was right about all his new predictions on how the court appeals were going to turn out.
And I was like, look, almost EVERYONE was worried about the whole fraud thing. "We gotta beat the margin of fraud" was a constant worry.
And yet, after the election...Jackstraw was saying he was still right.
Well, yeah, you are still right, IF we make huge adjustments to your position, yeah, your prediction was right.
But ScoggDog didn't have to make ANY adjustments to his prediction. He said it all was going to turn out bad.
And it did.
So...as far as I'm concerned, he was right, and Jackstraw was wrong.
So...yeah.
Jackstraw was wrong, and I *so* wish he was right.
Hope all is well with you, where ever you are at, Jackstraw.
My anger at you being wrong probably reflects more poorly on me than it does on you.
