Eric Fartwell Got Cozy With a Chinese Spy

Through campaign fundraising, extensive networking, personal charisma, and romantic or sexual relationships with at least two Midwestern mayors, Fang was able to gain proximity to political power, according to current and former U.S. intelligence officials and one former elected official. ...That's not how they do it. They recruit ethnic Chinese US nationals to make straw-donor donations. Like they did with the Chinese nuns donating to Clinton and Gore, using other people's money to do so.
Among the most significant targets of Fang's efforts was Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.). Fang took part in fundraising activity for Swalwell’s 2014 re-election campaign, according to a Bay Area political operative and a current U.S. intelligence official. Swalwell's office was directly aware of these activities on its behalf, the political operative said. That same political operative, who witnessed Fang fundraising on Swalwell's behalf, found no evidence of illegal contributions. Federal Election Commission records don't indicate Fang herself made donations, which are prohibited from foreign nationals.
Fang helped place at least one intern in Swalwell's office, according to those same two people, and interacted with Swalwell at multiple events over the course of several years.
I'm not sure if Don, Jr. has inside information or he misread the article, which stated that "Fang Fang" had sexual relationships with "midwestern mayors" (almost certainly Democrats). I don't know if she managed to get Fartwell into bed. To be honest, I don't know if she's his type, if you know what I mean. Her trying to honeypot Fartwell would be barking up the wrong genitals. But who knows. I've been surprised before. And other people are saying she was his "girlfriend," too.

There is a house in Portland called the "Red House", that was owned by a black family for decades. They joined the "sovereign citizen" movement, and haven't paid their mortgage or property taxes in years.
People in the house have a long record of animal abuse and other crimes.
The house was auctioned off for nonpayment of taxes a couple of years ago, but an Antifa contingent has been preventing eviction.
Well, the cops decided to enforce the eviction notice this morning. Antifa was forewarned, and summoned a mob which drove off the cops. (They used caltrops to disable police cars, among other things.)
Antifa is currently creating an autonomous zone around the house, including blocking the major street in front of the house, and is busily building barricades and other obstacles to block any attempt by the cops to return. They're settling in for a long stay.

Since the intel committee is obviously compromised, as is the FISA court's "gang of eight" it lends credence to the theory that the US military intel are the white hats behind Trump's moves.
Military intel can avoid congressional oversight, since presumably it's foreign bad actors they're watching.

Those seem like retarded arguments.
a) there's no rule that there needs to be a circuit split for SCOTUS to hear a case. I mean, usually in a circuit split SCOTUS is more in a rush to hear a case, but that's not the same thing.
b) this isn't an appeal from a case in any circuit, it's a case where SCOTUS has original jurisdiction. Like, that's not deniable, it says that in the Constitution.
c) there is no way SCOTUS is going to say that TX challenging a law passed last year violates laches. That's silly. Laches is basically the old common law version of "statute of limitations" where a court says "dude, you've sat on this case for like 10 years, why should we hear it now? Half the witnesses are dead, no one remembers what happened 10 years ago, and you really should have brought this case 10 years ago."

Hilariously, John McNally, was actually under indictment for corruption felony and misdemeanor charges (25 or so) at the time indicted May 2014. He plead and was able to continue to serve -- so its not impossible --- I mean clearly the FBI had him under surveillance beforehand. Its not clear when the in car diplomacy took place.

Perhaps discussed in last thread, but can SCOTUS refuse to hear this case? Having original jurisdiction must mean they must hear the case, at least preliminary, before being allowed to dismiss it. To do otherwise would be to deny a party an opportunity to seek relief. In district court, cases get docketed basically upon filing.

Well, I still think the more likely thing here is SCOTUS saying "you don't have standing to challenge the outcomes on equal protection grounds, and as far as election law goes, TX can't dictate to PA how they run their elections."
But they could hear the merits of the case if they want.
They could also just say "FUCK IT, consolidate all of the cases about the 2020 election, we'll hear it as one big case under original jurisdiction right now so we can get this over with." which I'd say is very unlikely, but also possible.

They're not asking for something outside the pool of solutions offered by the constitution.

By tradition (there is no rule/statute/constitutional requirement) the Court has used a "Rule of 4" in considering cert requests.

HEY! The majority of PA voters voted for Trump. We can't do much about those $*IP)TR^ folks in the cities and we have an aging and stupid GOP which can't seem to find candidates with some brains so we wind up with a Democrat Philly Lawyer and all the crap that that brings to the Governorship.
Me I'm rooting for Texas.

And if you want young stuff into "Throuples"---well we sent Katie Hill for a while. Then there was "Duke" Ciunningham and Mad Maxine Waters.
All goes to show that California is like a bowl of granola. After you get rid of the flakes, all that's left are fruits and nuts.
