If Alito/SCOTUS makes a ruling that solidifies Biden "winning" PA, then the other states will follow by matter of precedent.
Technically, state houses can do what they want with their electors but it is 100% obvious now that no state house is going to act against Biden, the media, and the narrative, without political cover from SCOTUS.
Likewise, SCOTUS won't want to make a ruling as simple as "Trump wins." Instead, I think both sides will meet in the middle. SCOTUS will say "this election was fu*ked. The state houses need to unfu*k it by appointing electors irrespective of the November vote."
That's the best, realistic hope I have for it.

If Alito/SCOTUS makes a ruling that solidifies Biden "winning" PA, then the other states will follow by matter of precedent.
Technically, state houses can do what they want with their electors but it is 100% obvious now that no state house is going to act against Biden, the media, and the narrative, without political cover from SCOTUS.
Likewise, SCOTUS won't want to make a ruling as simple as "Trump wins." Instead, I think both sides will meet in the middle. SCOTUS will say "this election was fu*ked. The state houses need to unfu*k it by appointing electors irrespective of the November vote."
That's the best, realistic hope I have for it.

My MIL is 70. For as long as I've known here, she has dyed her hair. For whatever reason she stopped doing it this year. I haven't seen her cuz both in-laws are scared of muhCovids. But I saw her on a Zoom thing for Thanksgiving and it was like WHOA she has white hair. And the thing is she looked pretty good with it, a lot more natural than the fake brown hair she had all these years.

The better part of that panel was later, when they were talking about warzone reporters and the Army's responsibility toward them. You could see Wallace (or maybe it was Jennings - one of those assholes) *visibly* suffer a mental break when the officer who was on the panel said that in the absence of any cooperation from the war reporters toward the acquisition of victory, his men would not only be under no obligation to rescue a warzone reporter but they would be ordered not to do so if it would cause them to incur any risks.

My MIL is 70. For as long as I've known here, she has dyed her hair. For whatever reason she stopped doing it this year. I haven't seen her cuz both in-laws are scared of muhCovids. But I saw her on a Zoom thing for Thanksgiving and it was like WHOA she has white hair. And the thing is she looked pretty good with it, a lot more natural than the fake brown hair she had all these years.

My aunt dyed her hair black for years. That was her natural color but it didn't look natural in any way. The last five years or so she let it go natural and her hair is lovely. My grandma had the most beautiful bright white hair and looked awesome. Never dyed it.
I dyed mine for years. Back in May I got all the old color cut off and now have a moderate amount of gray. I can live with that. I just do not want to deal with coloring my hair anymore.

One reason I'd make a lousy officer is that I would DEFINITELY tell reporters, in hushed tones over drinks, about some fake "big thing" in the morning at some spot, and then order it droned into glass when they got there.

I don't have all that much gray, but a few months ago I went and got highlights so the grays I did have would blend. I'm already regretting it, because now the highlights are growing out, and I'm way too lazy for that kind of regular upkeep.

It makes me wonder how many people are in my situation now. Their grotesque overextension on politics and the 'Rona have caused me to tune out. Like completely. I no longer watch news, local or otherwise. If I need weather, I go online to a weather site for it. I no longer listen to the radio or watch much if any commercial TV at all. I tune out PA announcements. I compulsively read words (I can't help it), but I quit reading the moment I see something to do with the 'Rona.
I am essentially unreachable at this point. Not even the EAS can reach me, because I don't have a TV or a radio on to something they can pre-empt. I am less reachable than ever because I'm so pissed off with all of their bullshit. If there were an actual disaster, I wouldn't even know about it.

Oh me too generally speaking, but there's optics for that. I've got a Geisselle Super Duty and Daniel Defense Mk18 SBR in 5.56 w EOTech EXP 2-0's for anything under 400 yds. Really decent for me out to 250 though. Playing with the new ATN 4k on the XO and damn if that isn't fun. Hit my first 800 yd steel target ever with that thing. (God knows I'm not good enough to do it on my own.) It was a rush. Strong rec to all 3 rigs though if you're looking to ball out.

I think back a few decades ago to those days in St. Louis before I hit absolute bottom and found sobriety and a new life, when I was that shaggy, out-of-it, homeless alcoholic, doing day labor gigs to buy booze, mumbling to myself, sleeping in the park, eating Catholic food kitchen bologna until I gagged on the stuff, thinking--when I could think--that it couldn't possibly get any worse, and it did.
So I know bad days and hard times, at least the self-inflicted kind, and I don't think most people realize just how bad bad can get and how quickly it can get there, and brothers & sisters, we are in for some hard times.

Roberts doing that might actually be an inadvertent blessing, assuming the conservatives on the court (of which Roberts is not one) side with Trump in PA.
Today's hearing in GA was thrown out because "you should have filed it before the election."
Well, in this case Roberts agreed that PA had no reason to file suit before the election. If the Supremes side with PA now (after the vote), they're effectively setting the precedent that post-elections challenges are what counts vs pre-election.

No, first one. But what I can tell you so far: break in protocol is spelled out in detail and a little more rigorous than what I'm used to. 1 shot, disassemble, clean, then 5-10 shots, disassemble, clean all they way out to 100 shots. Put 50 through it while zeroing in. One shot zero w/ the ATN on it. The gun is durable, runs cleaner and cleaner each time, and the patented bc is legit. 6.5 has very little recoil to it - more akin to a 5.56 round than .308. Using 147 gr match. Easy to keep on target when shoulder firing. Barely moves. I'm going to do more of that next weekend, but so far I'm fairly amazed. Surprisingly light weight too for the platform.

Unfortunately, arguments like that hold as little sway as those that say "if they cheat, we'll cheat too."
The fact is, the rules only apply one way. We are bound to them; democrats are not.
If we cheat, the FBI will bust us within minutes, votes will be tossed, electors seated, etc.
Election dispute with a Democrat looking for help? "Sure, the liberals on the court will give whatever time is needed." Republican needs help? "Sorry, deadlines are deadlines. Even the imaginary ones."
We are not a free nation, nor are we a nation of laws, nor is justice blind.
This is America.

The curing of ballots in Democrat counties, but denied in Red counties is obviously unconstitutional, and IIRC has already been ruled before. It's not even new legal ground.
