30 To be fair, I am always extremely skeptical about the video tape frauds and most instances of a given testimony. I have no doubt than a great many of them are predicated on a misunderstanding.

But that's expected. Team Trump doesn't have the time to sift through and contextualize every single story and just has to stream the firehose.

They current thinking seems to be that they had planned to add ballots as needed to get the win. Then at 3:00 AM they realized it was not enough and they needed more ballots.

My thinking is that it is possible that the problem they started having was that simply adding ballots would push too many precincts over 100% turnout. They realized that they had to REMOVE Trump ballots.

So what I think is this - they are not counting, but filtering.

For this crime, they had to
(a) adjust count on computer - that tells them how many paper ballots they need to win

(b) add biden ballots - that takes little time since they would be prepared off site.

(c) remove Trump ballots. That is the high risk, hard to do step.

(d) count. At this point, the crime is done. Why do this in secret?

It is not normal to engage in counting activities after you tell the scrutineers that you're suspending counting and to leave. Whether things like suitcases full of ballots stored under tables are normal or not (and it *shouldn't* be normal), that is seriously abnormal and it casts a pall over any hope of legitimacy.

Bottom line: A precinct that kicked observers out and counted ballots or who didn't allow challenges by or line of sight to observers loses its presumption of legitimacy.

Wherever sigs were not validated loses its presumption of legitimacy.

Wherever ballots were backdated loses its presumption of legitimacy.

The legal theory that the burden of proof here is on the victim to demonstrate that there was fraud beyond the margin of victory even in the absence of all the normal safeguards serving to establish this legitimacy is just that: a legal theory. Concocted by the media.

That only solves point-of-presence manipulation (e.g., corrupting the machine). It does not solve transfer of vote from the machine to the central counting office, electronic forgery, or other corruptions. These might be solvable problems (it is a decent use case for blockchain and various other technologies), but I think it adds a level of complexity and opacity that is unacceptable and unnecessary.

Paper ballots that are marked or punched and then tabulated electronically or mechanically are a perfectly fine solution that makes it harder to engage in chicanery. That isn't perfect either, but it does mean you need actual forgery to disrupt elections.

The rest of it - electronic or paper - is process control. Pre-intake (e.g., registration and roll maintenance), intake (validation), action (the actual act of voting), acceptance, counting, aggregation, etc. - every element of process control is broken (quite deliberately) in a lot of places.

Ordinarily, at least in Tennessee, I have a Democrat and a Republican that certify that things are being done properly and honestly, and it is thought that one would tell on or object to the other.

Poll watchers, could be allowed to watch the undertaking of elections, the counting of votes, etc, if the local party registers the poll watchers with the local Election Commission.

Poll watchers could come in when I opened a poll and stay all the way until I closed a poll.

They could also come in for 30 minutes and observe.

They could stay 4 hours and observe.

There could be no poll watchers at all, and most of the time there aren't in my area.

So the question that would raise suspicion would be, if Georgia operates like Tennessee does, were poll watchers in place, told election activities were done for the evening and would resume at another time, left because they were told that, at which point election activities resumed after they were gone.

I haven't read enough on the story to know that is what happened.

Perhaps it did, perhaps it didn't. I just don't know. I guess we would need a statement from a poll watcher to know, and maybe there already is one.

Also, Georgia might be completely different from Tennessee and I just wasted 5 minutes of your life.

The three individuals are to retrieve and secure material when polls close. Any violation of the chain-of-custody, the ballots are destroyed and the 3 individuals hung from the rafters to remind the remaining poll workers to straighten up.

213 90 If I was going to create a secure electronic voting machine(hah!), two things would definitely be missing: USB ports and network ports.

Every single data port on the machine would only be accessible through numbered, inventoried and proprietary devices or adapters.

If a cable or device came up missing, the machine it was tied to is immediately discarded and a new machine bought.

Or, if, for some reason, it's decided that proprietary access ports aren't an option, then, the device is encased in a sealed enclosure with some sort of proprietary locking seal that has to be cut off, and tracked, when accessing the cabinet.

Paper ballots counted locally are the least secure of all options. If the areas in doubt right now had run their elections the same way it was done before electronic voting systems, the fraud they would've pulled wouldn't even have made it close and there'd be nothing to audit or check now. You'd only have the word of the precinct captain or area leader.

All-paper elections have the same risks and more than electronic voting systems with fewer auditing options that uncover mistakes/wrongdoing.

Precisely, and as we have seen many of them are not auditable. There is both added complexity and risk to a system whose ultimately goal is integrity. Quite literally, this is the reason many states have rejected these systems. There is no locked-down code that is examined in detail on election night. You have many people with access to the code and there is no way to reliably snapshot the code at points in time to audit it and determine integrity. It's rife with risk.

Precisely, and as we have seen many of them are not auditable. There is both added complexity and risk to a system whose ultimately goal is integrity. Quite literally, this is the reason many states have rejected these systems. There is no locked-down code that is examined in detail on election night. You have many people with access to the code and there is no way to reliably snapshot the code at points in time to audit it and determine integrity. It's rife with risk.

515 OK, lets just say that the ballots are legitimate and are being stored in the same type of boxes as in any other voting location. Let's also say they are heavy, so you can't put the full boxes up on the tabletop.

Why would ballots be stored in rolling boxes under a table with an overhanging black table cloth? Also, why is there even a table cloth in any room being used for vote counting?

I would think you'd want the boxes of legitimate votes stored out in the open so you don't forget to count them. Like in a designated, labeled area for 'uncounted ballots' or something. I didn't see any labels of any kind, just to keep things straight.

There's the top of the ticket/down-ballot anomalies, the president-only votes (for Joe), the never-before-seen margin patterns (Joe sagging as expected all over WI, but seeing unprecedented enormous +s over 2016 in 3 counties), and more.

This is out there, in snippets, parts of the picture, but nobody's pulled it together. It paints a completely implausible picture, that provides the framework to make all the obvious, and illegal, behavior (observers being ejected, chains of custody broken, on and on) clear for what it almost certainly is.

Hard to tell to be honest. I think media people actually believe their nonsense, at least this generation that has never served in political trenches and so on. FDR's crew knew how the sausage was made, but it's been 80 years.

I think they believe their slanted polling really won the election for Biden, and that all of the weird anomalies are just losers complaining about losing. They won't look into it because as I told my dad last night "don't go looking for cockroaches if you don't want to find a lot of them."
BTW, Scott Adams is right though that there is a lot of fake news coming out of the right as well. Some of the early claims about MI voting that had a 'list' of 'dead people' who voted turned out to be spurious - people jumping on where they thought the story was before really looking through it. Some people are more guilty of this than others. Yet I think this was a case of smoke and fire - lots of people waving through the smoke and very few yet putting their finger on where the fire was. This is true of most attempts to root out conspiracies - a lot of theorizing and speculation, sometimes public, and very little in the way of direct hits.

If you note those instances where the amount of votes added is impossible relative to the amount of ballots that could've been counted in that period of time, a lot of it is backfilling. Trying to create the "record" that substantiates the fraudulent figures. And they got their hands on a Dominion Machine in Georgia and found it had switched a small quantity of votes(consistent with the hypothesis that they had initially planned to go with switching/adding a small amount of votes in many areas as well as with observed data anomalies suggesting manipulation of that sort).

Lock boxes have locks on them to keep "stray" papers from getting in.

And election boxes usually have 2 locks so 2 people self check each other opening it.

the surveillance video should have plenty of examples of normal procedures on it; should be easy enough for them to be compared to the bank heist segment.

In at 8 am to prep the kitchen and bar, out at 4 am after washing the last dish and locking the doors.
