The Morning Rant

GRATITUDE

We live in tumultuous times. I feel that I'm living in a machine that is in the process of shaking itself to pieces. Search YouTube for videos of what happens to a clothes dryer when you throw in a brick or cinder block and start the spin cycle if you want to know how I'm visualizing what our country is like right now.

Gratitude is an important aspect of mental health. This is why progressivism is big brick to throw in the clothes dryer of life, as it makes outrage a virtue and anger a requirement. Or, and don't forget the flip side of anger, depression, and you have a sure-fire recipe for mental illness. So it's no wonder that the progressive movement is filled with bitter, angry, miserable maladjusted perverts.

But I digress. Here is a good, 2-minute video on gratitude from PragerU:

Anyway, here are some of the things I am grateful for:

1. I am grateful to God the father of our Lord Jesus Christ for pulling me out of the muck when I was 22 years old, miserable, and had just spent the entire summer smoking as much marijuana as I possibly could, all day, every day, in an effort to -- oh, I don't know, some sort of self-negation. Like the guys who drench themselves with gasoline and then strike a match, only in slow-motion. Anyway, He picked me up and showed me a better way to live. He took away my despair and self-destruction and filled my life with blessings and contentment.

2. Mrs. Muse, my wife, who has been my constant companion, lover, and best friend and who has put up with me for 35 years. I can't imagine living life without her.

3. My health. Yeah, my body is banged up pretty good, but all things, considered, my health, at age 64, is really quite remarkable. Here some of the blessings I mentioned in #1:

3-1. I have a family history of depression and alcoholism, but both of these maladies seem to have passed me by. I don't really like to drink all that much, and, as I've already mentioned, my life is filled with contentment.

3-2. I do not remember ever having a headache in my life. Seriously. I've heard horror stories of migraines and even regular headaches that some people suffer frequently, but this is something I've never experienced.

3-3. I think I must have a beefy immune system. I've never had to take a single day off from work because of colds or flu. Sometime in December 2019, Mrs. Muse picked up some nasty bug that lasted for about 10 days and eventually settled into her lungs. She then went to the doctor who diagnosed it as bronchitis and prescribed antibiotic. She got better, but it took her about a month before she was really feeling normal again. Now we're thinking this might actually have been covid-19. We don't know for sure, of course, but maybe. But, here's the thing: I never got it. And this despite us being together all of that time and having all sorts of daily and nightly contact.

4. I am grateful that I get to be a part of this great blog. And for all of your morons, which is one of the reasons why it's so great. I mean, not only do we talk every day, but sometimes groups of us get together in various parts of the country for real-life meetings, for drinkin' and laughin' and shootin' and whoopin' and hollerin' and all sorts of carryin' on. How fun is that?

So I'm inviting any and all of you, if you feel so moved, to enter in a comment one or more things in your life you are grateful for this holiday season. Let's go into the holiday on a positive note.

And while we're at it, here's another PragerU 5-minute video about Thanksgiving:

AoSHQ Weekly Prayer List

Please submit any prayer requests to “Annie’s Stew” at apaslo atsign hotmail dot com.

Prayer Requests:

10/7 – Lee Also requests prayers for her good friend who needs a lung transplant. He’s been on the list for a while, but it’s getting to the point where he needs it sooner than later. She also would like prayers for the family of the person whose untimely death will give life to her friend. They have lost someone they love. But their generosity will help her friend.
11/18 Update – Her friend has moved closer to the hospital, which means he’s up higher on the list. He’s getting rehab in preparation for the transplant, so keep praying for him, please. And prayers also for the family who lost a loved on and allowed their loved one’s organs to give new life to people like her friend.

10/21 – Muley, the Duchess requests prayers for her late husband’s mother, who is being taken out by bone cancer at 91. For peace and fortitude. She hasn’t seen any family since March.

10/28 – redc1c4 said Resident 3vil lost her job a week ago. She’s been hoping to retire in the near future, and this puts a hold on those plans. Prayers are requested for gainful employment soon so she can finally retire and enjoy the fruits of her years of hard work.
11/17 Update – She got a new job last Friday. The downside is it’s 290 miles away. The upside may allow for a transition to partial retirement as a consultant. Prayers of thanks for a possible way forward!

11/1 – Hrothgar requested prayers for his elderly sister-in-law, who suffered a head injury in a fall. Thanks to the Lord that the injury wasn’t too severe, requiring only stitches, but she tested positive for Covid at the hospital, and her family will need to quarantine. Prayers are requested that it all turns out okay for everyone.

11/10 - Doof requests prayers for Donna&&&&&V, who is depressed to the point of being suicidal.

11/11 – Central Scrutinizer requests prayers for his buddy Don, who was just admitted to the hospital with Covid. He is 74 years old, and his wife is freaking out.

11/16 – Adriane the Critic requests prayers for her friend “D”. He is fighting a very aggressive brain cancer and the doctors’ prognosis is horrifically short. Prayers are also requested for his exhausted wife and young children, and strength for his sister and family, who are doing a great deal of travel to try and be with him in the little visits they are allowed.

11/17 – redc1c4 has an aunt, Anisa, with bone cancer, and she wants him to be her patient advocate. Redc1c4 asks for prayers for strength and healing for her, and insight for her doctors, and safe travels for him, as she lives at the bottom of California, and over 100 miles from the treatment facility.

11/18 – OurCountryisScrewed asks for prayers for his mom, who passed away very early in the morning of Nov. 11. Please pray for the repose of her soul. Also, a prayer for his father and siblings as they adjust to the loss of the heart and soul of their family. He’d also like a prayer of thanksgiving for the nursing staff at a certain upstate NY hospital who were absolutely fantastic caring for all of them.

For Healing:

9/23 – Dr_No requests continued prayers for his daughter Megan. She had surgery for cancer earlier, and now has had the 2nd of 12 FOLFOX chemo treatments for her Stage III-C cancer. It’s been rough – fatigue, weight loss, cold sensitivity, jaw pain. She’s losing an average of 6.5 pounds per week now and has lost approximately 25 pounds since her surgery and beginning chemo. Her attitude is terrific despite what she’s going through, but it’ll be a rough slog between now and January.
10/8 Update – Megan was admitted to the hospital for bi-lateral pulmonary embolisms. Luckily, the embolisms responded to treatment. Dr_No says thanks again for sending words up for Megan!
11/18 Update – Megan has had the 6th of 12 chemo treatments. She is still having the symptoms above and reactions to the FOLFOX series. Her mom bought her a pair of Neuropathy gloves, and those seem to help reduce the pain and tingling in her hands. She is still losing 3-5 pounds per week. Dr_No thanks the Horde for the prayers for her.

10/21 – Lady in Black requests prayers for her stepmom, who fought breast cancer 7 years ago, and now it’s back. She will be having surgery for a double mastectomy, followed by chemo. She’d appreciated any prayers to help her get through this surgery and contain this cancer.

10/24 – Kerncon requests prayers for his wife. His wife is currently in the ICU following a massive kidney infection, which resulted in the removal of one of them. She is currently stable and slowly recovering. They hope to be able to get her out of ICU in the next few days. Her remaining kidney hasn’t resumed functioning, and it could take weeks to recover, if at all. Please keep them in your prayers for a swift recovery, and for regaining full function to her remaining kidney.
11/24 Update – Kerncon says his wife will be leaving inpatient care on Sunday, and her remaining kidney function is near normal. Please keep praying for healing and strength as they transition from hospital/rehab to home care. She especially needs healing for her right foot now, as there is some muscle damage which could lead to a big quality of life impact if it doesn’t return.

10/27 – Caiwyn requests prayers for his father, who has been battling pancreatic cancer for 3 years. His chemotherapy treatments are no longer effective enough to justify continuing with them, and they are being discontinued. Prayers for him, and for whatever more time God could possibly give him with his family.

11/16 – Hrothgar received a very recent and completely unexpected diagnosis of a non-trivial (and rather rare) cancer. He is in the very initial phase of surgery, tests, diagnoses, and evaluation of treatment options, so at this stage, he knows just enough to be concerned, but right now has no idea how this will roll out. He would greatly appreciate prayers from the Horde for skilled doctors/staff and recovery if that is in God’s plan.

11/18 – Agamemnon requests prayers for a colleague who has Wuhan19 and is hospitalized on oxygen. The staff is having trouble controlling her fever and she has some co-morbidities that exacerbate her condition.

For submission guidelines and other relevant info, please contact Annie's Stew, who is managing the prayer list. You can contact her at apaslo at-sign hotmail dot com.

If you see a prayer request posted in a thread comment, feel free to copy and paste it and e-mail it to Annie's Stew. She tries to keep up with the requests in the threads, but she's not here all of the time, so she may not see it unless you e-mail it to her.

Please note: Prayer requests are generally removed after five weeks or so unless we receive an update.

Please remember the Prayer of St. Francis:
http://www.prayerguide.org.uk/stfrancis.htm

Keep calm and pray on!

Monday Who Dis: I did not know that the Argentina-born actressLinda Cristal passed earlier this year. She retired from acting in 1988, made a ton of money as a realtor, and also ran her own import/export business. She is best known for her work in the TV series High Chapparal, a TV western from a time after TV westerns had mostly fallen out of favor. The 'star' in that series was Leif Erickson, who was a combat photographer in WW2 and who survived being shot down twice while in aircraft.

67 Hadrian, I agree on the gratitude for a good parish. My priest has done everything he's "allowed" to do and then some to bring us the Sacraments and defend the Faith. I've never thought of myself as ungrateful for a good priest, but the bar is now set so much higher.

Nice post OregonMuse. Thank you.

I'm grateful I kicked cancer, as of just this past Friday I found out. At least after one year, no trace and blood work, scans for radiation damage, the whole thing are all good.

Now I can finally remove that darn catheter that goes from my chest up my neck. So annoying. Had it for a year. It is coming out this week.

I'm grateful for my husband who stood by me throughout all of this.

And I'm grateful for my entire family. I am lucky to have a big family where we are all talking to each other all of the time.

85 Nice post OM.

While I'm grateful for a whole wide range of things I'm most grateful for being of sound mind (it's my story and I'm sticking to it), relative good health, a good steady income, and wonderful wife with a wonderful four legged ball of barking joy, with a roof overhead and two grown children who are doing great things in their own way.

I could go on endlessly as I'm grateful for a whole list of things that the good Lord has graciously allowed me to be a part of but most importantly that all things are in His hands no matter how difficult times may be as He has the master plan and ultimately the final say. He certainly has worked in many mysterious ways to get this 29yr old this far in life so I'm not about to doubt him now.

May the Good Lord continue to bless us all.

And my sister is indeed holding a funeral for her turkey tomorrow at 2pm. Plenty are expected to offer condolences as Tom was well known through the region.

88 Well, I'm far more in a rage mood than a gratitude mood these days. I was thinking of Roosevelt's four freedoms and Norman Rockwell's famous paintings.

Freedom of speech? Use the "wrong" pronoun and you're an unperson.

Freedom of worship? Forget about it.

Freedom from want? The government wants more of your money.

Freedom from fear? Rioters in the streets and you're prosecuted if you defend yourself.

Thankful for my faith (baptized at age 22) and call to ministry

I am grateful for a husband of faith and prayer, FenelonSpouse, who has put up with me for 33 years and besides being a great husband and dad, is just a very wonderful person, who has helped with many things in the church- since as everybody knows I cannot type- so when I haven't had a church secretary he does the bulletins.

93 Is there a substantive difference between gratitude and thankfulness?

Seems like gratitude has an element of thankfulness that somebody bestowed or granted to you, where as thankfulness is more just generalappreciation of a circumstance or occurrence.

94 I feel so blessed by God and I am truly grateful for all my blessings. A sampling:

1. I am grateful to know God, and grateful that God has been faithful and gracious to me even though I have majorly sucked many, many, times.

2. I am grateful for a wonderful family. We are definitely not perfect and have had some crazy drama over the years, but we all love each other. Although my dad passed over 13 years ago when I was still in my 20s, I am grateful for good memories and for a father who cherished his wife and children and was a generous man, someone to look up to.

3. Grateful for my career. I am not doing what I studied in school - I seemed to stumble into it. I am doing something I absolutely love and also that has a positive impact on others. And my company is just wonderful as are my colleagues.

4. Grateful for good, loyal friends. A lot of people have had drama with their friends, but God has given me the best friends I could ask for.

5. Grateful for God's provision.

6. Grateful for my health. I have a genetic disease which has taken the lives of 3 half-brothers and other relatives and that one of my siblings really suffers terribly from. But I have been spared from the effects of the disease and am probably healthier than most.

There's so much more. I just hope I can be a blessing to others in response to all the blessings I have received.

I watched "The Big Short" again last night on Pluto TV. About the 2006-2008 housing market crash for those who don't know.

There is a point in the process where all the mortgages within CDO's are going bust. But the credit rating agencies are not downgrading the ratings of the CDO's. In fact, at one point, they were rating them *higher* even though the mortgages in them were garbage.

Everyone in on the "Big Short" were losing their minds. Nothing made sense to them. What was going on was completely illogical. Everyone trying to make sense of it, including Dr. Michael Burry, was losing their minds and completely aggravated and frustrated.

They finally came to the understanding that the entire system is corrupt and fraudulent.

That is where I am right now. Nothing about what anyone is saying regarding "there is no evidence of fraud at all of any kind in the 2020 election" makes any logical fucking sense at all. And I'm pulling my hair out with every article or headline I read about someone repeating the bullshit about "no fraud whatsoever".

Our entire country is corrupt. From the Democrats to the GOPe to the media to the social media tech companies to Hollywood celebrities to "entertainment" industry celebrities to professional sports to college sports. Everyone is in on the con regarding COVID-19, regarding Black-Lives-Matter and now regarding the stolen election.

It is overwhelming to come to that realization.

Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated"

No prayer list today? Just thankfulness?

I was just thinking...

Ever since I was a child, I have wondered, just exactly how does the Spirit of Truth work? Not a lot of info in the Bible about the "comforter."

As we are now engaged in a great battle of truth v lies, I've been pondering it a lot more. I pray that Spirit gets loud and clear.
___

John 16 KJV
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/
?search=john+16&version=KJV

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

Of sin, because they believe not on me;

Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

May Truth prevail.

Fingers crossed, for sure.

I found this blog, where I can vent without too much blowback (except when I deserve it).

Small things, but we must take our happiness where we find it.

I'm thankful to my wife, without whom I'd be adrift and unsalvageable. She's patient when I'm grumpy. She tolerates my idiosyncrasies with grace. She indulges my expensive hobbies of fishing, shooting and guitar playing. She moved our family around for 27 years in the Army and the USCG without a single complaint. My kids couldn't asked for a better mother.
I'm thankful that I'm still useful approaching 60, still earning a paycheck serving our country (as a civilian contractor). I'm thankful I get to live near the best beaches in the world in NW Florida and enjoy all of our spectacular weather (minus the occasional hurricane).

I'm grateful that my wife and I are still healthy and are able to do a lot with our grandson, who turns 2 in April.
Yeah, the election was stolen. Yes, the Cabal runs everything now. My advice is to tune out the agitprop and live. We've been in worse scrapes as a country and figured a way out of it then. Pray for God to bring healing and repentance to our nation.

275 Thanksgiving ... yes. The pilgrims made great sacrifice in their quest for religious liberty, to establish a new land where their liberty and their heritage could thrive.

That quest had great cost, but even with the hardships, they were thankful not just for the meal at hand, but for the land and future they were able to settle for their heritage. They were settlers ... in a new land.

Today, we could have peace and tranquility by submitting to leftist dogma. We could have our mutual funds soar as we yield to the globalist cabal. Leftists that have food aplenty and financial security and all media and Hollywood praising them ... are still at times crazy with Hate toward We the Non-compliant People, the deplorable Christian. They hate liberty, demand forced compliance ... to the god of BigGov.

The angst we have today is not due to a lack of the essentials, it is because we see an evil empire within DC (and at lower levels). They steal our liberty, and the measures our founders put in place to stop them are in jeopardy.

We are thankful to God, that in all these things we are more than conquerors. We have an ultimate final victory, but while here on earth, God's will is that we prosper and be in health. We can be thankful that in trials and tribulations, as we march around the city, the strongholds of our enemies will be pulled down ... by God.

I'm trying to differentiate "Thankful to God for His blessings and empowerment via Christ in You, the Hope of Glory" ... versus thankful that "at least they haven't stolen my wife or health or prosperity -- yet". The pilgrims were thankful in very hard times, thankful as they laid their lives on the line for a land where their freedom could be secure, where their heritage could build a sweet land of liberty.

We still have the chance to rebuild that, thankfully (MAGA). The Reset by Globalists plan to "Build Back Better" ... better than the religious liberty of our founders, which for them means complete top down control. Complacency or submission in the face of the enemy, is not the same as Thankfulness. Thankfulness can be expressed by fighting for our bill of rights ... MAGA.

Yes; a general sense of gratitude is key. Put plainly, virtually nobody living in the United States has a bad lot in life by virtue of being here. There are plenty of people whose lives are just terrible, that happens everywhere, but it is a comparative rarity.

Ingratitude, on the other hand, is very common.

Aside from those hard-luck cases, there really are two kinds of people in this regard. Some people will look at a serious setback of some kind and say "oy vey, this sucks, but it could be very much worse - look at that poor so-and-so over there."

The other people will look around at a glorious bounty and say "oy vey, this sucks, look at all the great stuff that rich bigshot over there has got!"

Don't be that second guy. Only rarely do those people succeed enough to fulfill their wildest dreams, and even when they do, it's still never enough to sate them. Most of the time they don't even succeed very much. They just live miserable, petty lives devoid of meaning.

It is often hard to find things to be grateful for, especially if your life is as mine has been, a stormy sea bent on driving you into a rocky cliff.

Nevertheless, no matter what, there is always one thing to start with:

That ours is a God of Salvation. He has opened the Kingdom to us, no matter how unworthy we are, if we earnestly seek Him.

Whatever comes, face it without fear. The Father's love is absolute, and when our time is done, we will all go home. Whatever Earthly miseries our enemies may inflict on us, they will be an ephemeral moment lost to eternity, a teardrop in the rain.

They don't consider anyone who supported Trump an American. They are going to make it where you will not be welcome in this country--your movement and freedoms, as a non-citizen, will be severely restricted (even more than they are now with covid) in the next two years. They do consider Muslims who absolutely will not abide by our laws and customs and want them changed to their religious ones as real Americans, though.

The article is written in spectroscopy grade molten tinfoil, sure... but the key allegation, if i'm not mistaken, is that there exists a technique developed by the military to identify exactly how the Election was stolen, and that this technique was used successfully. The technique may have been developed to identify hijacking of weapons system control networks, but can be applied to any kind of control network.

Like OM, I have been blessed with great health and never been sick a day in my life of 59 years.

I am also grateful to my poor, dysfunctional, alcoholic, divorced parents (if you pitied your parents, you were abused by them) who -- despite being raised in dysfunctional homes themselves with family histories of depression, anxiety, and mental illness -- tried to inculcate in my brothers and me all the great virtues, ethics, and values that made America and Americans great (i.e. Judeo-Christian) and that the only thing limiting our success in life was ourselves [oh well, 1 out of 3 successful sons ain't bad ... considering].

I am grateful to my two ex-lovers, who eventually transformed me into a mature man over the course of two decades, and to my wife without whom I'd still be "the man living in the van down by the river."

And finally, to my virtual family and mental/emotional/psychological/spiritual support network the past five years -- Ace, the COBs, and the many great commenters here.

Whatever comes, face it without fear. The Father's love is

356 253 I'm thinking of writing in Trumps name for every election and race from here on out since elections don't appear to matter any more.

City council - Donald Trump
Mayor- Donald Trump
School board- Donald Trump
Sheriff- Donald Trump
Judge- Donal Trump

Etc....

367 If we should ever be able to repair the election system by some means, this needs to be done:

1. Election Day is Election Day. Vote counting must stop at midnight. Adjust poll closing times as necessary. Buy better tabulation systems if you can't tabulate that quickly.

2. New electronic voting system that prints a physical receipt, which can then be fed through a tabulation machine to double-check results.

3. Any absentee votes (only granted for those outside of the country, the infirm, or military voters) must be postmarked two weeks before the election, and received by election day.

4. No county or state shall announce results until midnight Pacific time, so that no party or group knows how far they are behind until all results are announced.

No.

The head of the GSA was receiving death threats to not only herself, but her family, her freaking pets and other employees at the GSA. I don't agree with rewarding death threats with acquiescing, but Trump is very supportive of those who have been supportive to him. The GSA gal has been steadfast in not releasing funds early, and Trump said he told her to go ahead and start the initial phases of transition team funding, along with his other agencies doing the same thing. I think he felt it was cruel to allow her to have to live like this because he is refusing to conceded during the legal challenges.

Think about all the shit. Trump, Powell, and Flynn have gone through the last 4 years. They are dead if we lose. So why would they lie about the global situation? What is their motive to lie about what is going on?

possible additions:

- Make Election Day a Federal Holiday.

- Absentee votes are to be handled by the jurisdiction in which you currently are when voting.
* if military, your vote is handled by the military and delivered to the appropriate precinct to be counted on election day.
* if civilian and in the US, your vote is handled by the precinct in which you currently are, and delivered appropriately, etc.
* if civilian and outside the US, your vote is handled by the nearest US Embassy, and delivered appropriately, etc.

- EVERY step of the process must be observed by at least one member of each registered political party. Failure to certify observation results in immediate halt to all vote counting and processing activities.
* any observer from a party willfully hindering vote counting and processing, as judged by observers from the other parties present, will forfeit their party's/candidate's votes for that precinct.

Not saying any of that is perfect. Just throwing it out there for consideration.

All were vocal supporters of President Trump and understood his uniquely American point of view. None of them thought he was "crude" "boorish" "uncultured". 438 imo Prager is wrong "I'll be happy until something awful happens."

His word is "happy", and somewhat different is "thankfulness" (gratitude). But that attitude allows gradualism that brought in communism. Something awful occurred every time the leftists took another step in their march through the institutions, and we failed to stop it.

But because so many concentrate on physical things (food, wealth, health) ... we went to sleep (as a nation) as our bill of rights was confiscated. "A republic, if we can keep it".

Those that called out the commies (including the CIA enemy within) were murdered, infiltrated, marginalized ... systematically. JFK and Kennedy? maybe ... The John Birchers? probably. The America First candidates of the 90s (versus the globalists)? yes. Any that vigorously fought the infiltration were vigorously destroyed ... by DeepState.

Now is the winter of our discontent ... or now is when we are encamped in the cold on our side of the Potomac, waiting to attack the royal forces of the crown ... we are thankful to God for liberty, and resolved to keep the Republic free.

453 406 Barr's DOJ dropped the charges against Flynn. That's a huge something.
Sidney Powell is one of the few who have seen and has spoken about what is on the Weiner Laptop. She represented Flynn to get said charges dropped.
Flynn exposed PizzaGate as real as did his son, which is the real reason he has been targeted. He is a threat who knows where the bodies are buried.
Think about all the shit. Trump, Powell, and Flynn have gone through the last 4 years. They are dead if we lose. So why would they lie about the global situation? What is their motive to lie about what is going on?
Posted by: bat nationalist at November 25, 2020 12:15 PM (DH4sA)

That's huge to Flynn. If it had actually succeeded in ending his torment. What has Barr done on that front since? Did he have the DOJ join in on any of Powell's efforts since to get the case away from Sullivan? Because I would think if that were the case you would hear about a joint filing against him to the higher courts.

First of all, there is ALWAYS something you can do. Call your Senators and Congressmen and state representatives. Even if they are not in a state that cheated a lot, chances are election reform to prevent fraud needs to happen in your state.

Keep calling them and let them know loudly and repeatedly that we voted Trump in and we will not have this election stolen from us. That may not matter right this minute but it may matter down the line if state legislatures or the House decides this thing in the end.

Finally, you are not being a realist... you are being a defeatist which paralyzes you willingness and ability to fight back.

there are 1000 ways to make elections clean, we had many in place already, they just broke the laws, and committed the crimes, and actively covered their tracks (premeditated).

As with gun laws, we don't need new gun laws to stop thugs from killing each other in Chicago, we need enforcement of current laws. (and removal of many laws designed to make honest ownership difficult).

The big issue is the criminal element within our government ... those that counted the votes are criminals, protected by other criminals in high places (state AGs and governors, mayors ... and much of the federal level)

The COVID scamming is as big, or bigger, than the climate scamming, and nearly as long in duration, considering the preparation that went into it. They were ready for a pandemic, any pandemic, knowing one would come - naturally or otherwise.

There is legit science available for those that want to ignore the gatekeepers, and the details make the progs' behavior all the more evil. And it's really obvious stuff - there are many patterns of how different sorts of illnesses spread, and this one does not match respiratory anything. It's why they all (literally) take the mask off when they think the camera stops rolling, and it's why the Chinese spent so much time using fogger trucks and backpacks, built so many temp medical facilities, and burned millions of peoples' furnishings.

On the election suits; the video now circulating of Coomer describing their vote counting machine's "feature" of not only being able to fill in circles on the ballots being counted, but being able to randomly apply a library of human-looking marks, is going to be real useful.

The difference that you and rick seem to be deliberately missing is this... Gore was arguing that the law should not be followed when it was. Trump is arguing the exact opposite. 4 or 5 states ignored their own election laws and millions of illegal votes were cast as a consequence. It is the job of SCOTUS to enforce the law as Trump will ask just as it was equally their job to slap down Gore's claims of special privilege.

Gore was trying to overturn an election. If he wasn't, then why try? And they cheated Trump much worse. Trump is right to fight, he is not fighting for himself he is fighting for us. I don't see how people can be so cool with their vote being cheated if it was. I know there were cheats, it is not possible there weren't. The scale is what matters here and someone has to fight to find the truth.

But the way FenelonSpoke handles herself here, at least that I have seen, reminds me so much of the character in the show.

626 Things I'm grateful for:

1) Being here at all. Bypass surgery, diabeetus, covid...some part of me is too stubborn to quit, or God really does watch over fools and little children. I tend to think it's more likely the latter.

2)My son. Sometimes I've been disappointed that he hasn't yet left home and gone out on his own. He told me recently that he's stuck around to keep an eye on me. I appreciate that.

3) My job. I could be working retail somewhere, but I'm still, after 35 years, sitting in a padded room talking to people who aren't there.

4) The Horde. Youse guys and gals have been great, and I hope to get to a MoMee before the Lord calls me home, whenever that is.

5)My lady. We haven't seen each other in person for a couple of months now (work schedules, covid and other stuff) but she still brings a smile to my face whenever I think of her.

Other things I'm grateful for:

The medicine that helps me keep going

Low carb frozen dinners. The Lean Cuisine cauliflower pizza bowl is delicious.

Gas-X for when the cauliflower does what it does.

Music to listen to and books to read.

628 Wow, too much to count

(Disclaimer: I'm the person who gets up in the morning to make a cup of tea and is all 'Whoo-hoo! Clean water is coming out of the tap! Thank you, Lord!" and goes on from there.)

That when our son was diagnosed with throat cancer that we live in a country where even under COVID, he had access to excellent medical care.

That our other children rallied around, especially his oldest sister, who did the whole of his care, while juggling her own family. It is a blessing to see that you raised good kids.

That we are able to contribute financially to the kids' needs, when we can't be present.

That we now live in a peaceful tiny town, instead of the huge city. Where Mr. S can thrive.

That though I had to leave my TLM parish, the one here is so good, with a simple holy man as our pastor.
The great gift of Faith, and being a Catholic (yes, even now.)

That AoS proves daily that there are still intelligent people of good will here in the USA. Many thanks to the cobs and the commentors.

Posted by: donnyf at November 25, 2020 01:21 PM (fTdo6)

630 Yes, it's time for gratitude.

1) My health -- I rarely get sick. I occasionally develop a pain of some kind, and when I do, I consider that this will be my permanent affliction, but it's always gone away.

2) My children. Yes, they all became Democrats like their mother, but they're all healthy and have never had run-ins with the law.

3) Our personal circumstances. Both my wife and I have jobs that are considered exempt from panic-induced shutdown, so our incomes didn't take a hit. We are able to continue paying off our mortgage, which means we have heat and shelter. We also did our part for the local economy by spending much more than usual on carryout meals.

4) For the peace that God has brought to me.

5) For the peace, insights, and laughter that Ace and the Horde have brought to me.

Yes, I give thanks.

632 grateful for my family, especially my brother Vinnie, my health (and his) my part time gig, my lease, my writing outlets, my friends, and this blog.

I"m grateful for the time I had with my late husband (had a dream about him last night!) And with any friends who have passed.

Also for the time I spent with my "step-dog" Journey, who will be placed with a family as a service dog in a few weeks. He is the goodest boy.
and I'm thankful for president Donald John Trump and I pray daily that he will overcome the forces of evil and remain our president for a second term.

happy thanksgiving, all.

633 I'm grateful that I'm an introvert and, as a result, am not all that bothered by a lack of social interaction. But I have to admit that it's even getting tiresome for me.

635 Another moron -- mostly lurker -- very grateful for this blog, esp. Ace and the COBs. It's not often that you want to fire up the laptop computer and scroll through a feed, but you people are motivating. And I love the legendary commenters, not least BlueBell, AtC, Mary Poppins' Practically Perfect Piercing, and even -- from earlier days -- Alan (sp?) the "dedicated Tenther" whose go-to solution was always burn it down, scatter the stones, and salt the earth where the Establishment stood. You guys put a smile on my face.

636 Thanks for sharing your story. Mine is not too dissimilar. Also age 22 and 4 years of Jim Beam and pot had me in very dark place. Took long look at myself in a sober moment and went for the hail mary rather than be another statistic before I reached my 30th birthday. In my case it was enlisting in the AF. 26 years later I retired and entered pretty comfortable career with the skills and experience I had picked up (lots of people who don't have a military member or personal experience in the service don't realize how much work is required and why those bennies are earned beyond a shadow of a doubt).Met Mrs right along the way and will see our 36th anniversary next year. 3 good kids and one grandkid. No regrets is my biggest blessing. Living the enlisted life is a guarantee of salad days for the majority of the time in. Makes me appreciate the fatter years a whole lot more. Not always easy and not always fun but always pointed in the right direction. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

637 The PragerU video is dead-on accurate. The story of how natives and Pilgrims eventually went to war in King Phillips War is a story of how both natives and Pilgrims became corrupted by the following two generations.

638 I'm grateful for God above, my brother beating cancer (twice!), a happy family, and all the smart, witty people here in the Horde.

639 I am grateful to be a boomer (born in the 1950s). I can remember an America that the Gen Xers, Millennials, and Zers will never know. An American prior to LBJ and his so-called "Great Society". It was a time of innocence. How could we know that the "Great Society" had all the ingredients required to turn us into the 3rd world banana republic shithole that we are today? And although I am grateful for the memory of that America, I now grieve for the loss of her. She wasn't perfect by any means, but she was good.

641 I am thankful for the sacrifice and salvation from our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed and sustained me for the past 40 years, giving me a wonderful family and friends, and especially you, the men and women of the Horde, who have amused and inspired me greatly over the last 10 years, including those I met at a SWOhMoMe way back in 2015. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

642 Unable to count all the blessings in my life, including God watching out for me and mine (now HIS) when we were in darkness without Him. Good to read about the Moron Meetup we who are His, will have in eternity, at His throne.

Blessings to all.

Where else would he be shot down? The pub?

644 Thanks for the reminder for Kielbasa and potatoes. Years ago I would make that regularly. Economical. But so good and fast and easy. Making it tomorrow. Oh, wait! Next week when the turkey is gone.

647 There are times when I just have to stop and wonder. How is it that things have happened so fast, and in some ways, have gone so wrong? And yet here I am, in the company of people--people I've never met!--who I think of as kindred. God bless you all
