In the week of Nov. 5-12, that percentage fell to 13 percent. So I've been a bit depressed with all the news, election results, COVID panic-demic and so forth. Need some uplifting stuff.
Of course, I'm not alone. So for those who need a message of what we can do to feel better, the president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints just put out a message talking about how to find some healing in this troubled time. It's about a ten minute video. https://bit.ly/393kZgG. The guy is 95, and far, far more mentally there than Joe Biden, even though he's got 20 years on him. He was a heart surgeon and a good one, before being called into the ministry. In fact, I think he was one of the main pioneers of successful heart transplants. In any case, if you need a pick me up or just a break from the chaos and bad news, give it a watch. I am grateful for the sources of peace we can find still in these troubled times--it's important to step back on occasion and search out the good in the world, of which there is still lots. A late comment regarding Oregon's earlier post:
Umm...this is the way it's done in a state ruled by law. When the challenges all began, I pointed out Trump was not a lifelong politician or a military man. He is a businessman, and so he is used to settling disputes in the courts. He knows you sue and you get sued. And we have courts for a reason. To mediate between parties. Regardless of whether you support Trump or not, whether you agree there was fraud or not, courts are civilization. Asking elected representatives of the people (state legislatures) to use their judgment to represent the voters who elected them to provide check and balance to an election process that might have been corrupted is also working within the system we have. Equating these efforts with riots or military juntas is absurd. Considering the tactics many of Trump's opponents have demonstrably supported both here and abroad, I don't think these characterizations should be taken seriously. ace - JJ had a link in the morning report to a Wayne Root piece that is interesting. Root looks at the Fox call for AZ, as well as the refusal to call other states that Trump was obviously winning, as a sign that someone fixed the presidential betting, and also that this was the signal for the swing states to stop counting.
It's an interesting speculation, and if true, devastating to Fox's credibility. https://tinyurl.com/y6yea6f4 Why would Fox News be in such a rush to call Arizona for Biden? At that moment, Trump's odds crashed almost instantly from 8 to 1, back down to 2 to 1. That drop set off alarm bells. My friend who is one of the biggest bookmakers in the country called me to say, "Wayne, something is wrong. I've never seen a drop like that, let alone a drop that fast. The Democrat Channels push propaganda. But even they don't insult their 5 viewers. Fox seems determined to tell you just how "right" they are, and what an idiot you are, peasant.
Fox was good because it was factual. Most of the time they would dig a little deeper than other channels and expose facts you wouldn't hear anywhere else. That's what people expected with this fraud. They expected Fox would look at lawsuits and affidavits, then pull out relevant facts, probabilities and potential outcomes. But Fox isn't interested in that anymore. They declared Arizona and this race for Biden before anyone else, and they will protect that ground even if it destroys them. So what do they do? 24/7 opinion programming that's topical and not meant to kill and of their new sacred cows. I've read many of the lawsuits that are available and some of the affidavits. I also know the reputations of some of the people at that podium. They are serious people who wouldn't risk their reputations for political hi jinx. That's more than I can say for Fox. To them this is a big farce. Whether that's because they've become lazy, liberal or apathetic, I really don't care. But it's ultimately a sign of their dishonesty and bias. Everyone knows it, even if they have no put their finger on it exactly. You can see and feel the change. It's insulting and pathetic. Posted by: Marcus T at November 20, 2020 01:24 PM (a8b7P) 139

The election was obviously rigged. Was the virus a Trojan horse for the
election cheat all along? Were the riots just for distraction and why did they stop after the election? Why did antifa have a policy not to attack the national guard when they would have represented the ultimate authority? Why did Slo Joe talk about the greatest election fraud operation ever? Why did he say just randomly in a debate Trump will leave office peacefully? Why did he say in MI he didn't need people for the election but after the election? Why did the biden campaign say the election wouldn't be called election night? Why do various lockdown governors have random and capricious rules like churches closed and strip clubs open, curfews, parks closed, liquor stores open, etc? Are they setting people up for total isolation and what are they doing when we are? Why did the media including fox go full tilt leftist election night and beyond to declare biden the winner? Why has big tech gone full fascist in eliminating any dissent in full coordination? Would biden use executive powers to control the internet? Why is there a coin and currency shortage? Why are hillary and kerry pushing the great reset for socialism? Is the USA the last domino to fall for the globalists takeover and only Trump is in the way? Rant-athon (again).
I'd still like to ask Ace and Cobs to archive articles for crappy clickbait sites and paywalls. Maybe there's a reason they can't (legal or otherwise). In the case of the NYT article, it was already archived at Archive Today 3 days ago. If an article isn't archived, it takes about 30-60 seconds to archive. Simply right-click and copy the link, no need to go to the site. Paste in the window at archive.is, and it will either display an already archived article (80% of the time it seems) or will archive it. You can re-archive if you want to catch somebody retroactively changing an article. NYT Article hit-piece from above: https://archive.is/WsoIl Mozilla has taken to blocking archive.is as a malicious site. It is not. They are beholden to their corporate masters, so they can't have people saving articles for posterity - or getting around paywalls. /rant Posted by: clutch cargo at November 20, 2020 01:36 PM (8B6Ng) 263

Some observations:
1. NewsMax right now is running a telethon thing to send care packages to our troops. They are taking donations by phone, or go to troopathon.org. Rush and Hannity and Alan West are among those supporting this. This outfit has K-9 care packages, too. I will donate, on-line. My real observation is: Do ANY progressive pols or celebrities or media-types EVER publicly participate in efforts to support our troops, other than saying "We support the troops," when they see some political need to do so? I believe some celebrities do USO shows and the like, but those get no play back in the States, so they aren't going to get any blowback from the nutcase progressives. 2. An hour ago an announcer on NewsMax referred to Dominion and another voting system outfit as "for-profit voting system vendors." That made me take notice. The lousy Democrats constantly bitch about "for-profit" prison operators, trade schools, and other things I can't recall. But they are totes OK with commercial companies designing and maintaining the means by which citizens execute the most fundamental function of deciding how they shall be governed? Hypocrisy in plain-sight, again. Posted by: Gref at November 20, 2020 01:41 PM (AMIL/) Posted by: JackStraw at November 20, 2020 01:41 PM (ZLI7S) 304

Here is the 1-star one Dishonest I bought this book after reading an interesting column by the author on why Democrats didn't do better in the 2020 election, but the book is nothing like the article. Right off the bat he says that you would look at Owsley County and wonder what disaster had befallen it and answers his own question with the claim that there has been no disaster and attributes the predicament to the shiftlessness of the residents. Yes, they're just sorry, a bunch of sad sacks. One wonders how so many sad sacks found their way to the same town. That must have required some initiative that they haven't exhibited since their arrival. Then he proceeds to talk about the collapse of the local economy when the major employers shut down. Oh, I see. The same intellectual dishonesty permeates the book. The book also suffers from a gratuitous and stupid mean-spiritedness, when he talks about "she-bureaucrats in pants suits", for example. Are they somehow worse than "he-bureaucrats". Are pants suits a signifier of evil and incompetence even worse than leisure suits? 11 people found this helpful sounds about right Posted by: artisanal 'ette at November 20, 2020 01:45 PM (sfhL4) 336

I turned 50 this year.
I'm officially old. yeah, yeah, whatever. get back to us when you're ordering off the senior menu. about the time i turned 50, several of the local fast food places started spontaneously giving me the senior discount. made me feel old. Posted by: Anachronda at November 20, 2020 01:35 PM (sGtp+) Really, barely 29. Speaking of which, I'm on a mission against Costco. The corporate edict is that they have hours for seniors (60 and over) between 9-10. They observed this for a while at my Costco. But recently, I've seen an awful lot of black haired seniors, and extremely hyper midgets running up and down the isles, screaming. So yesterday, I ask the guys at the door. They say oh sure, the hours for seniors start at 9am. Then, once the seniors are in, they let EVERYBODY ELSE IN. As I try to explain the 9-10 thing on the sign, he's trying to tell me sure, seniors get to go in between 9-10. Awesome, so they're ONLY allowed in between 9-10? WTF is the 10-8:30 hour mean then?? They then tell me they're going to change the sign. I contact corporate this morning, and they basically tell me that they're supposed to follow corporate hours, but GFY and call the manager. The whole idea was that old people can go in, and have a store to themselves without Hispanic families running up and down the isles. The place was packed at 9:15. I was 10 minutes late. Some "really" old people were bent out of shape that they're having to stand in line, and get jostled around. One guy was a vet, and worried that his wife was waiting in the car, for what should have been a 15-20 minute wait. If this Covid is supposed to be real, then I expect a lefty dump like Costco, who tell you you have to wear a mask, social distance etc. to follow their own rules (yeah, right). So I contacted Santa Clara Covid complaints, and will try getting the manager, but expect no results from him/her/it. Fuck you Costco. /rant_2 Posted by: clutch cargo at November 20, 2020 01:47 PM (8B6Ng) 355

How, (I actually don't want to know the answer to this question but feel compelled to ask) does one distinguish, 1) a unicorn horn, 2) a dildo, 3) a unicorn dildo.
This isn't really my wheelhouse but what's the delineating factor that allows one to see a unicorn dildo in the wild in the nominal position of a unicorn horn and correctly identify it? Anyone? Maybe SHE set HIM up. ------------------------------- This is strip tease. Rudy/Sydney show a little skin and then deliver bits a pieces of the puzzle. Tucker, in my eye, just set himself up to be the referee that would be believed by us and others. No way Sydney is going to tell Tucker what she has now with coverups running full speed. I don't always agree with Tucker but he is generally honest, he has a background among the Beautiful People and thus brings a new window on things and people that I appreciate. Tempermentally he is a mid sixties Liberal - which today translates to a conservative. So what I'm wondering is, if the lawyer went on Tucker, and as soon as she got some push back from him, she let him have it with both barrels... maybe that was the purpose.
He is a nationalist, as is Bernie, but he is also a professional and he is financially independent where most talking heads are not. Not a bad compass to navigate the media morass. Posted by: Puddin Head at November 20, 2020 02:02 PM (4sizS) Right, so then is it possible that Lawyer Sidney, knowing where Tucker is coming from, goes on and does her little dance, and when she gets the not unexpected request from Tucker for her to show some more skin, she let him have it, effectively telling him she's not that kind of girl? The reason I think this is possible is that, she's a smart girl, and assuming she knows MUCH more than the rest of us do, would she not be able to take advantage of the possibly naive Tucker walking into her trap? If the US Supreme Court chooses to ignore the massive violation of Pennsylvania's Constitutionally protected election law, it will be allowing 682,000 illegal ballots to defraud and disenfranchise OVER 3 MILLION LEGAL VOTES.
By looking the other way, the US Supreme Court will become complicit in this tyrannical fraud, in this Republic-destroying coup. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court unconstitutionally and brazenly rewrote Pennsylvania election law which explicitly states that not only do partisans have the right to observe mail-in ballots as they are being counted; the observers also have the right to OBJECT to ballots which they believe to be irregular. The US Supreme Court needs to take the case and declare: "That is a Constitutionally protected law. You don't get to rewrite it in any way shape or form. Under Pennsylvania law, those ballots are illegal." Will 2020 be the year that the US Supreme Court utterly abandons America and its founding Constitution?
