Escape from New York: Residents Continue Fleeing Filthy Communist Shithole NCY

Even hardcore lefties have had it.

A new CNBC report shows that 300,000 New Yorkers have bailed on the Big Apple since the beginning of the lockdowns.

The figure is based on change-of-address requests and likely masks the full picture. Many households include more than one person, and an address only registers in the report when 11 or more forwarding requests are made to a particular county.

Evidence of this mass migration has been apparent for months. Moving companies and trucks have been hard to come by as the demand to leave the city rises, and a record number of apartments have sat empty as landlords struggle to find occupants. The median rental price on studios in Manhattan fell 7.1 percent this year, but the cheaper rent and other incentives have not been enough to entice most people back.

...

The city's reaction to the pandemic has had a domino effect, and the pieces are likely still falling. As both businesses and their employees have eased into remote work, many have realized it isn't necessary to cram a workforce into one centralized, expensive location. As a result, it is likely that some businesses and employees will leave the city permanently.

Other blue state and blue city fascists are likewise cracking down on law-abiding citizens.

And in some cases, the law-abiding citizens are rebelling.

In Chicago's suburbs, bars and restaurants are now simply ignoring mandates that they shut down -- they say they must remain open. It's a matter of simple survival.

A New York state sheriff has answered mass-murderer Andrew Cuomo's decree that Thanksgiving is cancelled -- he says they will not be enforcing this lawless decree.

sheriffstatement.jpg

Meanwhile, in Oregon -- where rioting, arson, and attacking cops is perfectly legal -- any Thanksgiving dinner in which seven people attend is now decreed be a crime against the state.

As always, if you violate an illegal decree to not see your family, make sure you just deem your Thanksgiving dinner a BLM riot/protest or a memorial for a thuggish Democrat politician.

Then no rules apply.

62 Every 'mathematical proof" of election fraud that I have looked at so far is basically garbage. Much of it is based on the data available on a NYT site, from a company called Edison. That data kind of sucks. It has low precision, and doesn't tell you things like what counties votes came from.

Nonetheless, you can get SOME hint of what happened. Here's my take on PA, from that data:

(1) The counting stopped after about 7.23 hours, and did not resume for 6.05 hours. However, in the middle of the time it was stopped, about 68912 votes were added, 90.0% of which went to Biden.

(2) The next day, everything was suddenly different from the previous day. About 956026 votes were counted, with 73.5% going to Biden. Were these supposed to be mail-in? And/or "Biden counties?"

(3) The next day, after a 9.75 hour gap, about 290544 votes were counted, with 73.2% going to Biden. It being basically the exact same percentage is suspicious. Are these supposed to be mail-ins that had not been counted yet, or not arrived the previous day? 3rd parties did better this day, 3.5% vs just 0.6% the day before. (Why?) Trump was still about 19918 ahead.

(4) The next day, after a 5.88 hour gap, about 93613 votes were counted, with 78.3% going to Biden. Biden pulls ahead, about 33659 votes More mail-ins still arriving? Maybe absentee ballots? They must have known they were nearing the end, maybe that's why they went with an even higher percentage for Biden.

(5) Over the next 5 days, a total of about 72208 votes are counted. "Curiously", only 68.4% went for Biden. One might conclude that the previous days' fractions, which JUST got Biden over the finish line a little bit ahead, were fixed, and that 68% is a much more reasonable fraction for these kinds of votes.

So that might give you an idea about how this fraud went down, but it's not sufficient evidence that could be proven in court.

The Mark Zuckerberg-funded Center for Technology and Civic Life (CTCL) announced on Tuesday that it will provide additional "safe elections" grants to county election departments in Georgia in advance of the two U.S. Senate runoff elections that will be held on January 5, 2021...

Between September 1 and October 30, Facebook founder Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, donated $350 million to CTCL for its "safe elections" project. Critics charge that the project is simply a Democratic Get-Out-The-Vote effort disguised as charitable good government contributions to a 501 (c) 3 non-profit that acts more like a partisan SuperPAC.

172 I moved out of Chicago to Las Vegas. I grew up in Chicago and loved it. My property tax bill in Chicago was $6k for an 1100 sq ft 1bd/1ba walkup condo (5.45/sq ft). Sales taxes, 10.25% state income tax 4.95%. Plus violence in my tony Lincoln Park neighborhood; car jackings, shootings, robbery, stabbings, a rape or two...and the beaches were closed, restaurants closed....Las Vegas, single family home property taxes are capped and mine are far less per sq. ft than Chicago at 1.97/sq ft. Sales taxes are 8.25%, and gas taxes are cheaper. No state income tax....Why would you stay?

NYC and NY State are stinking piles of garbage, nothing new there. All due respect to our co-Moron new Yorkers. I visited a couple of times in the 1970's and early 1980's, had friends around St. Mark's Place. Walking around, taking the subway, going out to eat, I always felt "on". Never relaxed.

Going back in the late 1990's was completely different. I understand that continued through Mayor Big Gulp's tenure. But now?

I have tried this year to figure out what it is that our fellow citizens find so compelling about descending into 3rd world status. Just about every major metropolitan area is filthy and dangerous.

So if mail balloting goes nationwide, then you can contemplate this on the Tree of Woe.

From what I know of and what you guys are describing, it's probable that most locusting occurs around blue urban centers, ie suburbs, like what happened in north Virginia. People gtfo'ing probably make much larger moves. Again, that the counties are self-segregating isn't hard to find and Biden won less than 500 counties, a new record low.

Not specifically familiar with it. Quick search indicates it is a home-administered PCR test (as opposed to a rapid bedside antigen detection test. 336 Elected officials in Chicago are looking to place a tax on businesses within the city's iconic Magnificent Mile that had been subject to looting just months earlier.

The proposed emergency special tax, also known as the Special Service
Area or SSA, would impose a less than 0.05% levy on commercial
properties along North Michigan Avenue, according to city documents. The
special taxing district would generate between $700,000-$800,000 a year
which would be spent on an increase in private security and enhance a
business' attractiveness, according to FOX Business' Grady Trimble.

So the city is going to hit businesses with a protection fee like the mafia. Protection that they failed to provide them with 2 or 3 times this year.

338 :: face contorts in rage ::

The nickel-and-diming by my state never ceases to amaze me. CO has a notion called "ownership tax" on motor vehicles. It is based on an imputed initial value (not what you actually paid, but the MSRP * 0.85), which is called "Original Taxable Value."

The ownership tax declines each year for seven years, at which point it becomes zero - the vehicle is assessed as having no value.

I just learned that there is now something called the "vehicle age adjustment fee" - which is one dollar per year for each year of vehicle age above seven years. So if you have the temerity to keep your car beyond when the ownership tax expires, they start putting on new fees.

Motherfuckers.

Except the law plainly states only legislatures have this power, not the Guv or courts.

Is any court in the USA not fully and completely corrupted yet?

As of this evening 4 Upstate counties will not enforce the unconstitutional T-day restrictions.
Fulton, Saratoga, Warren and Washington say no.

378 Where the hell do those refugees from the filthy communist shithole that is NYC think they can flee to? By the time Biden-Harris are through, we'll all be living in the Filthy Communist Shithole States of America!

379 The median rental price on studios in Manhattan fell 7.1 percent this year...

The reality is probably much worse. In SF when landlords couldn't find people willing to pay the asking price they would throw in some number of months free, e.g. you have a sixteen month contract but the first four months are free.

Instead of reporting a prorated rental price, they normally just report the amount you pay when you have to start paying. That is, they're fudging the numbers to make it look like rents haven't fallen as far as they have in reality.

Here in CA the rationale for free months instead of a lower price is the amount you can raise the rent is capped by state law, and this way if the market recovers they can avoid that restriction. I have to believe something like that is going on in NYC as well.

During the Industrial Revolution, famines, bad fortune, or economic recessions forced people to pack into the urban cities for refuge.

Will be fascinating to see this in reverse during the Tech revolution. The problem is of course that the rural folk brought good things like a hardscrabble work ethic to the cities. The urban left will bring to the rural areas their politics and their manbuns. Not a fair trade!

385 Lockdown or all the rioting, and lack of arrests for violent crimes?

I'd say it was a combination of the two, not just lockdown restrictions.

388 Just to let you know if you plan on moving to the boonies in N. Idaho......

Building packages have gone up 800%. If you can get your hands on them. Lumber is up 200% or more, If you can get your hands on some.

Building contractors are three years out. Or more. bribery is driving up the cost of labor....

So. Come here and buy some land if you can find it, but you are not getting a home built any time soon unless you build it yourself.

And you certainly will not be getting any appliances to go in them. Those are who knows how far out.

If you go to places where there is little population.... you will find there is a dearth of skilled labor as well.

Beware,

389 Think about it... Within every aposematic unstable SJW is a lurking hero complex. From the righteous stalwart bastion of their desk chair, they can "save the little guy". If sneering tweets or expletive laced Facebook shares could save just one life, isn't it Worth It?
With no other outlet to fuel their hero complex, they each figure themselves the caped crusaders of Future History.

Wu Flu has given them the perfect storm of plausibly deniable psychoses with which to play these out center stage. SCIENCE! If you retweet that in large enough font enough times and it saves just 1 life, isn't it Worth It?
Now they have the full throated support of whichever 3 or 4 figurehead doctors of the week decree which encumbrances, whether they decreed the opposite last week or not (shut up; SCIENCE). This is their shining historical moment to achieve social media sainthood if they profess their devotion to the cause louder than the next devotee. They don't have to believe it or understand it, so long as 1 person With Credentials deems it so, then you knuckle-dragging flyover simians are the target of today's 2 minutes hate because nothing broadcasts your fascism louder than not falling in line with the street mobs.

Never more true-
"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."

390 In its ruling, the Penn Supreme Court acknowledged that, yes, the Republican poll observers were in fact kept at distances from the mail-in ballots which prevented the observers from seeing crucially relevant details regarding the legitimacy of those ballots.
But don't worry: we are only talking about a FEW HUNDRED THOUSAND ILLEGALLY CAST BALLOTS.
- Not to worry.
- Not to worry at all.

WE WILL REMEMBER THE ROBERTS COURT.
- And all of its insouciantly evil shruggings.
