Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Escape from New York: Residents Continue Fleeing Filthy Communist Shithole NCYEven hardcore lefties have had it. A new CNBC report shows that 300,000 New Yorkers have bailed on the Big Apple since the beginning of the lockdowns. The figure is based on change-of-address requests and likely masks the full picture. Many households include more than one person, and an address only registers in the report when 11 or more forwarding requests are made to a particular county. Evidence of this mass migration has been apparent for months. Moving companies and trucks have been hard to come by as the demand to leave the city rises, and a record number of apartments have sat empty as landlords struggle to find occupants. The median rental price on studios in Manhattan fell 7.1 percent this year, but the cheaper rent and other incentives have not been enough to entice most people back.Other blue state and blue city fascists are likewise cracking down on law-abiding citizens. And in some cases, the law-abiding citizens are rebelling. In Chicago's suburbs, bars and restaurants are now simply ignoring mandates that they shut down -- they say they must remain open. It's a matter of simple survival. A New York state sheriff has answered mass-murderer Andrew Cuomo's decree that Thanksgiving is cancelled -- he says they will not be enforcing this lawless decree.

Yeah, the next five years are going to be interesting for commercial real estate. They will probably get a round of rezoning passed that will allow them to renovate commercial buildings into mixed commercial/residential spaces or fully residential. People are still immigrating to the US by the millions so the cities will become just as crowded, less American and the one's that flee will turn their new homes into the shit holes they left, rinse repeat until the republic is just a vassal of China. Every 'mathematical proof" of election fraud that I have looked at so far is basically garbage. Much of it is based on the data available on a NYT site, from a company called Edison. That data kind of sucks. It has low precision, and doesn't tell you things like what counties votes came from.
Nonetheless, you can get SOME hint of what happened. Here's my take on PA, from that data: (1) The counting stopped after about 7.23 hours, and did not resume for 6.05 hours. However, in the middle of the time it was stopped, about 68912 votes were added, 90.0% of which went to Biden. (2) The next day, everything was suddenly different from the previous day. About 956026 votes were counted, with 73.5% going to Biden. Were these supposed to be mail-in? And/or "Biden counties?" (3) The next day, after a 9.75 hour gap, about 290544 votes were counted, with 73.2% going to Biden. It being basically the exact same percentage is suspicious. Are these supposed to be mail-ins that had not been counted yet, or not arrived the previous day? 3rd parties did better this day, 3.5% vs just 0.6% the day before. (Why?) Trump was still about 19918 ahead. (4) The next day, after a 5.88 hour gap, about 93613 votes were counted, with 78.3% going to Biden. Biden pulls ahead, about 33659 votes More mail-ins still arriving? Maybe absentee ballots? They must have known they were nearing the end, maybe that's why they went with an even higher percentage for Biden. (5) Over the next 5 days, a total of about 72208 votes are counted. "Curiously", only 68.4% went for Biden. One might conclude that the previous days' fractions, which JUST got Biden over the finish line a little bit ahead, were fixed, and that 68% is a much more reasonable fraction for these kinds of votes. So that might give you an idea about how this fraud went down, but it's not sufficient evidence that could be proven in court. I visited a couple of times in the 1970's and early 1980's, had friends around St. Mark's Place. Walking around, taking the subway, going out to eat, I always felt "on". Never relaxed. Going back in the late 1990's was completely different. I understand that continued through Mayor Big Gulp's tenure. But now? I don't know if The ARC of History has mentioned this, but once Oregon went to all-mail balloting, we've only ever had one Republican elected to a major state office (as Secretary of State, and who very unfortunately died last year of cancer while in office and was replaced by a GOPer). So if mail balloting goes nationwide, then you can contemplate this on the Tree of Woe.
Yep, it's remarkable how Oregon went from a purple state to a deep blue state the moment Oregon went to all mail-in ballots. The only reason why they let the Republican secretary of state win was that his Democratic opponent was hated by the Democratic political establishment. In Chicago's suburbs, bars and restaurants are now simply ignoring mandates that they shut down -- they say they must remain open. It's a matter of simple survival.
The sheriff of DuPage County IL said he wouldn't enforce any of Jabba's shutdown orders and a number of suburban mayors (Orland Park, Elmhurst) said the same. Jabba has threatened to send the state police around to find businesses not complying to pull their liquor licenses. I wonder if they'll do it. ******** Not specifically familiar with it. Quick search indicates it is a home-administered PCR test (as opposed to a rapid bedside antigen detection test. I don't advocate either as a population screen, probably more useful as a diagnostic test. The main concern I have would be whether the swab is performed with proper technique. Elected officials in Chicago are looking to place a tax on businesses within the city's iconic Magnificent Mile that had been subject to looting just months earlier.
The proposed emergency special tax, also known as the Special Service Area or SSA, would impose a less than 0.05% levy on commercial properties along North Michigan Avenue, according to city documents. The special taxing district would generate between $700,000-$800,000 a year which would be spent on an increase in private security and enhance a business' attractiveness, according to FOX Business' Grady Trimble. So the city is going to hit businesses with a protection fee like the mafia. Protection that they failed to provide them with 2 or 3 times this year. :: face contorts in rage ::
The nickel-and-diming by my state never ceases to amaze me. CO has a notion called "ownership tax" on motor vehicles. It is based on an imputed initial value (not what you actually paid, but the MSRP * 0.85), which is called "Original Taxable Value." The ownership tax declines each year for seven years, at which point it becomes zero - the vehicle is assessed as having no value. I just learned that there is now something called the "vehicle age adjustment fee" - which is one dollar per year for each year of vehicle age above seven years. So if you have the temerity to keep your car beyond when the ownership tax expires, they start putting on new fees. Motherfuckers. The median rental price on studios in Manhattan fell 7.1 percent this year...
The reality is probably much worse. In SF when landlords couldn't find people willing to pay the asking price they would throw in some number of months free, e.g. you have a sixteen month contract but the first four months are free. Instead of reporting a prorated rental price, they normally just report the amount you pay when you have to start paying. That is, they're fudging the numbers to make it look like rents haven't fallen as far as they have in reality. Here in CA the rationale for free months instead of a lower price is the amount you can raise the rent is capped by state law, and this way if the market recovers they can avoid that restriction. I have to believe something like that is going on in NYC as well. Posted by: Ace's liver at November 18, 2020 08:10 PM (wGeit) 380
