We have personnel moving in/out of Syria all the time, for all kinds of reasons. For the most part our operations there were sort of the distilled current approach - operators for training, liaison, some shootin', with heavy power on-call (remember the massacre of a Russian private military force working for the regime which made the mistake of persisting in an attack on a US operators' position.
Oh - and lots of mumble mumble um well you know OGA mumble mumble activity too, some of which is kinda sorta para-military.
We stage out of Iraq.
There was a publicly discussed decision to stay in some strength at one particular airbase in Syria - media reportage on it, was not a secret to the WH.
As I understand the situation, I don't understand Jeffries' comments, the situation just doesn't work that way.
(OGA = other government agencies, a transparent and kind of silly acronym much beloved of people in these areas = intel agencies = one particular one)

Depending on the types of information being saught to be declassified, it could exist in several different systems. All docs for the FBI get logged into Sentinel, all DOJ docs are stored in a DOJ specific database, same for CIAs trident systems, there is shit all over the place. And if you want it you either have to have access or get someone to give it to you.
Nobody is going to comply with any of Trumps orders to declassify.

Recall GA GOP party chairman, who was an observer, said already that observers were removed from the arena counting center for 90 min., during which time they were told counting stopped - only to learn it had *not* stopped.
So - Wayne County MI, Phila and Allegheny County PA, Clark County NV, redux. And I'm not sure there was no similar hinkiness in WI or AZ, though that particular violation hasn't been alleged that I've seen.

From what I could detect in the pages of legalese, these 5 scumbags entered into a Litigation Settlement in March of this year with the GA Dem Party and the Dem National Senatorial and Congressional Committees to alter the manner in which absentee ballots would be handled - contrary to election law passed by the GA legislature.
Why did they enter into a settlement with the Dark Side? Why not take it all the way to a hearing or trial or whatever of did they?
Can a judge in GA order the parties to settle only? Don't know.
I wonder if this is the reason SOS Raffensperger was initially nowhere to be found when the subject of a recount first came up. Same with Gov Kemp, by the way - and he's still AWOL by all accounts. Has anyone seen him?
Anyway - when real pressure surfaced to do something about it, now the SOS apparently wants his so-called recount to be over with ASAP.
Also, limiting the number of observers to the recount would minimize witnesses who can testify to and document the obvious fraud and cheating as the result of his weakness - or outright treachery, which I guess we can't rule out.
Perhaps he hopes his role in this clusterf*** doesn't come to light too much?
Again, I don't know much about law at all, but if what Lin Wood states is true . . . unless Raffensperger and his cronies from your State Election Board were forced into a litigation settlement, it doesn't look they really fought too hard to equally protect your votes in this election.
In fact, in reading the settlement, I had the impression the Dems got everything they wanted - the rewriting of GA election law by yet more feckless GOPers.
It's bad enough to observe this lawlessness in Dem controlled states, but to see it in those who we should be able to count on to stand for the rule of law is infuriating - but sadly not surprising.
Wood has filed this lawsuit as a private citizen, claiming irrefutable harm against his voting rights as a GA resident and as a US citizen under the Equal Protection clause. He's seeking an injunction against certification of GA votes, among other relief.
These private citizen lawsuits filed against government, especially during elections, rarely seem to result in anything but a "the plaintiff(s) have no standing" ruling.
Not saying it's for sure true; it just feels that way.
Can any lawyer here enlighten me on this?

OK, I get it. You like to read international intrigue fiction and confuse that with reality. Again, you fail to identify EVEN ONE incident where the US military defended the United States in a direct or material way.
They patrol the sea lanes in the Persian Gulf so that the Middle East can maximize international profits in oil sales not having to worry about the costs of their own security. All at the cost of jeopardizing US domestic production.
They have cool air shows (well, at least to do that before they let the tyrants kill that). They keep lots of people employed building weapons and tactics to harm citizens.
Every once in a while, Special Ops grabs some doe eyed idealist that gets kidnapped by goat herders. On occasion they might liberate a ship from pirates. And they capped some old decrepit dude that was behind a terrorist attack nearly twenty years ago.
In the meantime, China became a global hegemony and the former United States became a failed totalitarian state without a shot ever fired.

But it seems that the game is whether they can make hostile people admit that they see what is right in front of them. The hostiles can just claim that they don't see any signs of fraud no matter what is presented. Not sure how to counteract that.

How long have we been fighting for voter ID? How long has everyone been saying that voter roles need to be purged and better managed? For fucks sake, our own state department has a list, detailing "Sure signs of election fraud" for foreign countries and it reads like a "How to" manual for our elections. There are numerous reports and articles from late 2019 and through the primaries- written by Democrats and published far and wide all the same places that are censoring things now- citing exactly the same voting machine problems everyone is "uncovering" now.
This is not a mystery. There is widespread, systemic election fraud. Read that again. That means that they all know and they are all part of it. They only pitch a fit when it works against them, then quickly STFU and move on because they don't want to go down with the ship.

Two points- The fraud is glaringly obvious and it should be simple to make a convincing argument. Let's skip all the complicated stuff and go for an easy one-
"Your Honor, as disclosed by these two counties in MI and confirmed by the officials involved and the subsequent corrections, it is beyond refute that voting machine irregularities resulted in two separate, large scale votes to be overturned. These problems are consistent with concerns identical vote switches, documented by none other than Elizabeth Warren in December 2019 in reference to the same machines. To ensure that these two, very well documented "glitches" are indeed isolated, we are asking for an audit of all counties using these two types of machines."
Should be easy, right? Except Trump's lawsuits are getting dismissed because they are going in with "We have this stack of affidavits from a bunch of part time workers making allegations that they can't substantiate and are directly refuted by the officials charged with overseeing elections. Please believe our affidavits instead of theirs and let us overturn the election."
How to counteract the hostiles is impossible. For better or worse, you send out PR teams to talk nonsense to the hard cores (see everyone in the DNC, RNC, CNN, Rudy, Sidney,... all of them) while your crack legal team busts heads in court.
