Zuckerberg: We Censored the Hunter Biden Story Because an Unnamed Individual at the FBI Told Us to be On the Lookout for Russian Disinformation

If Zuckerberg's telling the truth, it's #2. Who is this person at the FBI doing extra credit homework for the Biden campaign? If he's assisting in censorship of public information, we have the right to know who he is. Of course, Sen. Ed Markey( D) today in the hearing, said that the Hunter Biden information was from a Russian disnformation campaign and totally false.

As has been stated on here many times, FBI directors have to be nominated, then confirmed in the Senate. Trump doesn't get to simply hire someone.
Also, there are myriad laws in place protecting the jobs of government employees from being fired. Trump just issued an EO to remove some of those protections, which of course will be litigated by the various and numerous unions that government employees belong. He can't simply say everyone is fired. For one thing, the FBI has hundreds of local and state offices that actually are doing some decent work , such as the 45 children that were rescued in Ohio last weekend from being trafficked. A story that got almost no attention that Liz Claman on FBN was lived over yesterday, because she and one reporter on the Hill are the only ones besides OANN that even reported it. She actually used an expletive and had to apologize after the commercial break she was so angry that the media in the US has become nothing but political machines , not news.

Dudes, it's just that they have to handle these things gingerly in an election year, not pursuing slam-dunk cases or using hard evidence to pressure key witnesses, so they can do things by the book and forestall politicization of law enforcement - slow-walking investigations for political purposes is totally the way you do that - and they certainly would never try covering for Biden or leaking things like this to his friendly media faction because Barr runs a tight ship and has the best ham-and-eggers in the FBI on this situation and it's confined to some bad guys on the top floor except for him, who couldn't possibly know about any of this anyway because Trump appointed him and Trust the Plan.

Just looked at the Detroit News for info on this. Biden's campaign hasn't announced where in Michigan the two will show up. Trump is going to be in Waterford Township, just northwest of Detroit( tony suburb with a mix of rural and housing developments) on Friday. The article said Obama stumped for Hillary the Monday before the election, but couldn't be in Detroit due to a police funeral. LOL. He went to Ann Arbor instead, which would be like Trump campaigning on Ace of Spades.

That requires Congress. This is what I was trying to say earlier. All this codification came about to prevent a president from being able to fire these people. Clinton's travel office firings and scandal ended up in travelgate, and took 7 years to litigate , including two special counsels, one of which was Ken Starr. The main director of the office was charged with embezzlement and found not guilty. Hillary Clinton was found to have made false statements (surprise) that contributed to the firings, but the special prosecutor said she didn't know what she was saying was false or would lead to firings.
Just like having a server in her bathroom. Not a whole lot has changed since 1993 when this took place other than codifying these people's jobs so they can't be fired.

As I said in a previous thread, I tend to believe Jack here.
I don't think he's trying to do anything other than ride the high of being a successful CEO. I think he fucked himself over big time by allowing the SJW's to take over his company, and he's looking for an escape hatch.
Which is why I think some selective pressure on Twitter could fix this in the short term. Like a DOJ investigation in to illegal in kind corporate donations to Joe Biden's campaign for trying to suppress the NYP story.
Keep Twitter in court for a few years, scare their investors.

I am not saying that they are generally not smart or that TB is not smart, in particular. I was merely correcting undue credit for being a Nuclear-Trained Officer (which implies ship command and more competence than being a fresh-BS-completing instructor in dress whites). They are single-subject instructors.
The graduates of the school are multi-discipline trained, and they go on to command ships and subs, if they are successful.

None of the colleges in Michigan, sans Hillsdale are functioning as normal right now. Classes are mostly online, MSU has no in person classes.
Saw a story on local news the other day that the Sec of State of Michigan hired college students to work polls this year for the election. The older blue hairs that typically work it are terrified of covid and they were way below what they needed to man polling stations, particularly with in person voting of absentee ballots. College students have almost no extra curriculars to occupy their time and were available.

We have all kinds of mothballed military bases here in Alaska, many of which are extremely remote and inhospitable even by Alaska standards.
Most of them still get runway maintenance, and get an annual (or so) fixup visit to keep the place from falling apart, but their readiness for reactivation would be enhanced with a full-time caretaker staff, I'm sure.

It's because yeah, in the past rallies did matter, because people like to be asked personally by the candidate to go vote, it's a key part of the Ground Game, and in all past Campaigns in the history of this country, the winner of the ground game has been the winner of the election.
But THIS year rallies don't matter, because everyone decided back in March that they didn't like Trump becaue COVID!!! and after that it's all been in the bag and nobody can say or do anything at all to make any difference and it's all over already. Because this is a different kind of election than has ever happened before in all of human history, that's why.

the land east of Bucktown near the lake was ground pumped/dredged up from the lake ... that is a few feet above sea level. I don't think Bucktown is higher though ... when the levee broke on the other side of the canal, a lot of my friends' homes were under 6-8 feet of water. The Metairie side didn't flood, iirc.
