And asking how many polls Silver includes in his model are actually fake. Because the math isn't adding up on some of those for being bad samples.

451 If Trump wins the election, I'm guessing he'll get a couple of more picks.
Hopefully Roberts will retire, it is kind of sad that RBG spent her last few years working instead of with her family. I'd like to think she wasn't waiting around for the 'right' person to pick her replacement, but she enjoyed the job too much to quit. But, it may make others consider if that's how they want to go out.
Sotomayor is likely to stroke out writing her next dissenting opinion. They tend to be ... what's the word, histrionic?

Minutes before Amy Coney Barrett is confirmed Supreme Court rules 5-3 to throw out ballots in Wisconsin that are postmarked by Election Day but arrive after. 80,000 ballots were counted in primary that arrived after Election Day but were postmarked by then.

Oddly enough, that is exactly Oregon's rule - Oregon ballots have to be received by elections officials on 8 PM Election Day - postmarking them by Election Day isn't enough.

I guess Oregon is now a racist cesspool of voter suppression as well.

554 Ok I'll say it again. Barring epic fraud PDT is not losing Michigan. When I go into the UAW plant and see a bunch of guys wearing MAGA gear, it means not only are those guys voting for PDT, a bunch of others are also. If they were in the minority, they'd be under huge pressure not to wear that stuff.
And if PDT has large UAW support, no way he loses MI.

Roberts will retire, it is kind of sad that RBG spent her last few

Short version: the goal is to destroy all institutions which stand between the individual and the State. Sex is a crucial part of being human, and of forming strong emotional bonds. Hedonism destroys those bonds, turns people into objects to be used for one's own pleasure, and reduces your ability to find support outside of the government.

Those poison pills do more than just stop ovulation. They totally fuck up your hormones so that you end up growing tumors. Ever wonder why breast cancer kills so many ladies, when it really didn't before 1973?

And abortion causes it, too, by messing up the hormones that are all geared up to produce a baby and lots of lovely milk, and then, don't.

But Kavanaugh was a known squish and may have been Kennedy's condition for retiring. Levin said the Bush Crime Family was lobbying for him before his nomination unlike anything he'd seen before. And I was pissed of with the clusterfuck the hearings turned into that he was never scrutinized on conservative issues.

ACB is way different in that regard.

If you can talk yourself into thinking an unborn baby is just a clump of cells you can talk yourself into accepting a lot of other things - like men can have periods for instance.

Once you've made traditional definitions of "baby" meaningless, you can justify all sorts of crap.

Really, Roe v. Wade introduced a poison into the body politic of America that has gotten worse over the years.

857 Apropos of nothing, but that comment in the sidebar by Jonah is to me the final proof that he is no longer a Republican in any sense of the term.

You can be a Republican and not like Trump personally. You can be a Republican and wish there was someone else leading the party. But if you are actively trying to downplay Republican achievements, by Trump or whoever else, and sow discouragement and uncertainty among the Republican base--then yeah, you can't call yourself a Republican at this point.

So from here on, to the extent we weren't already, I think we should just refer to Jonah as a Democrat. "Democratic partisan Jonah Goldberg" or "Democrats like Jonah Goldberg," etc.

924 857 Apropos of nothing, but that comment in the sidebar by Jonah is to me the final proof that he is no longer a Republican in any sense of the term.

Posted by: Dr. T at October 26, 2020 08:46 PM (pxDdN)

It seems like it should vote like Alaska (well, Murkowski is a mistake but they vote reliably red in presidential elections) - it's another very cold, sparsely populated state with beautiful rugged scenery and a lot of guys who wear flannel shirts and like to shoot Moose. But they elect Angus King and Susan Collins.

Is it the Vermont influence or the Quebec influence or the Stephen King influence?

I have a different opinion - when you join a gang, often they have you do a crime with them, and from then on you are in, held in by the fact that only in the gang ethics is that justified.

Biology and Evolution have worked for billions of years to bind parents and children and no sophistry will keep the women involved from regretting it at times, unless they dive deep into the manic pro death ethics that the Democrats celebrate. They are tied to the gang for life.
