Giuliani: After Hunter Biden Story Broke, Hunter Biden's Lawyer Contacted the Computer Repair Man and Tried to Get the Hard Drive Back

This is from Steven Crowder's podcast last night.

And Giuliani says he has the email proof of the lawyer's attempt to retrieve the hard drive.

This is proof that the hard drive is Hunter Biden's.

I think we all knew that -- but this is smoking gun proof.

You cannot "get back" a hard drive you never owned.

Via Nice Deb at American Greatness, who has written up all of Giuliani's disclosures from the Crowder appearance.

Here's an amuse bouche:

[T]he former New York mayor divulged that there are dozens of "disturbing" photos of Hunter Biden "doing an imitation of Anthony Weiner," and many more indicating that he had "a very massive drug addition."

"He's like a zombie," Giuliani told Crowder.

He also said there are texts describing a transaction between Hunter and Joe Biden and "a Communist Chinese intelligence operative"--which appeared to have been a set up for extortion.

Leftwing journalist Matt Taibbi had a good snap-back to a stupid Democrat who claimed that the emails were all faked-- Oh sure, Taibbi said (more or less), they found a hard drive with real pictures of Hunter Biden with a meth pipe-- but then they added fake emails to the drive.

Sure sure. That totally checks out.

maybe it was eating away at him I dunno

74 I saw this last night. Nail in the coffin.

I understand the slow drip method gets more eyeballs and forces the Biden campaign to trot out explanations that can be disproven with more information from the laptop, but I think this situation calls for a full release.

We're so close to the election and this information needs to be out there NOW! Biden and the Democrats have been selling their power, influence, information and even legislative enforcement to our enemies, and the Biden laptop apparently proves it.

Put the full disk image out on torrent sites and let the signal flow.

Posted by: bonhomme at October 16, 2020 12:13 PM (i0wNm)

75 I don;t see how this won't be very bad for Biden.

Dave in Fla made a great point in the earlier thread that using online tools, you can see that turnout for early voting is actually 1:1 R/D, and that polls aren't taking this into account, indicating that they are wrong. Although a great point, it should not be forgotten that there is a also difference between knowing how someone who voted is registered, and knowing how they actually voted. Trump's support from his base and the party is very high. Biden's, not so much. I noticed that after polling started to show that people living in areas affected most by the riots (e.g. dems) disapproved of the riots by a factor of 4-1, the riots suddenly stopped in most places. Lots of people will mindlessly pull the lever for their party. But if only 1 in 10 of those dem voters decided to send a message over this stuff, it would be catastrophic for dems.
I think that the shy Trump voter effect is not only real, but is mixed in with something a little different - the Lying Biden voter. These are people who will lie that they are voting Biden because otherwise they would be ostracized from their social circles, face job consequences, etc., but who are going to secretly pull the lever for Trump and then spend the next four years shit talking him to keep up appearances with their friends while secretly giving thanks for what he does.

I was not a Cruz supporter during the primary, but I have to hand it to him on this one. When all of the R candidates agreed (as they had to, to get RNC support and polling) to back the eventual nominee, Cruz was one of the few to actually do it. I am sure he didn't like it, but he pounded pavement and talked phones off the hook to back the nominee. He behaved with honor, when so many didn't.

This came into play in one of the most darkly amusing local family law cases, a couple years ago. I was friends with one of the attorney's, and he couldn't resist laughing about the situation he ended up being part of. (he didn't give names, so he stayed ethical, although I knew enough to have a good guess)

Divorce case. Husband, who he represented, had a lot of money but was closet gay with a bad coke habit, not a great guy. Wife was divorcing him, wanted all his money. It was looking bad for him until wifey put up a semi-clothed picture of herself on some Dating site - and since the family still had Apple Share, her picture of her mostly naked self popped up on the screen of the phone of their 13 year old daughter, while she was sitting in class. and of course she ran to show it to dad.

One of the advantages to the apple system is that all your devices are synced up. This is great for business, because your calendar, etc. is all the same no matter what device you enter it on. Yes, you can turn all this off, but by default it's on.

So, all the photos Hunter may have taken on his phone or laptop go to iCloud to be stored, and also go to all of his devices which can be stored locally as well. Phone, iPad, iPhone all have the same crap on them, all the emails show replies/responses, so you don't have to wonder "did I send that on my iPad or my latop?"

I have a feeling we've only seen the teasers.

Hunter forfeited the laptop when he didn't pick it up and pay for the services within the agreed timeframe. At that point, it's no longer his.

Once Mr repairman saw what he saw, he contacted Mike Lee and the FBI. Lee didn't do jack shit. The FBI asked for the laptop and at that point, the repairman made what may be the best decision ever. He copied the hard drive.

As it turns out, the FBI wasn't going to investigate the laptop. Just 'clean it' for their powerful friends.

It would've been better if this would've come out a couple/few weeks ago but it still matters. Highlighting the now undeniable bias of Big Tech and the MSM is likely just as important as exposing the Biden lies. The Ukraine angle is complicated whereas the attempts to bury this story by any means necessary is very plain and simple. Lots of uninformed people are noticing the latter.

175 Louis Rossmann, a NYC Mac repair shop owner explained that in a standard
computer repair contract, if you failed to pay and/or pick up your

Everything within it belongs to the shop.

My wife's father owned a gas station. When she was a teenager, somebody left a cherry Mustang with a huge engine, failed to pick it up in the allotted time (90 days, IIRC), and it was his because the storage fees exceeded the price of the car. He gave it to my wife, who used it to drive to high school. Guys were always trying to challenge her to drag races, but she would do the speed limit.

My MacBook Pro stores all my email. Its what I use to store my old emails so that my iCloud email does not get clogged. And all my texts go to my laptop too.

The Mac OS is really good if you want to avoid the cloud. But once you give the password to your Mac (especially a few years ago) it gives you access to almost everything. Apple has been encouraging separate passwords and two factor access, but the MacBook Pro is the king of the Apple OS.

Once you are there and you have the password, you can access everything.

I need to get my battery replaced. I have not done it because of the issues of giving my damn password to Apple. I need to basically back up my hard drive, get all the safari passwords on a duplicate drive, and basically wipe the old drive if I want to avoid having someone dig through my life.

And haven't checked today, but an experienced former fed prosecutor who often lends good expert perspective to these things (@shipwreckedcrew) was initially implying that no action from DOJ on this material for however many months it's been might imply no actionable violations.

But yeah, confidence in the FBI/DOJ ...... umm, well, that formulation seems like a nostalgic one from the mists of time.

Give me an angle to defend Joe Biden with. A couple of ideas I'm thinking of:

1. The Hunter Biden laptop "scandal" has been created by collusion between Trump's supporters and China and it is this collusion that is the real issue we need to focus on. I admit this one is kind of lazy, since all I have to do is substitute "China" for "Russia."

2. The more important issue for Americans is not whether the Bidens sold US policy, but whether the computer repair guy was legally entitled to take the laptop because of nonpayment. Do we really want to live in a country where computer repair guys can just take your stuff because you were a little late on payment? Should Congress pass laws against this?

Any other ideas welcome.

I have a little toaster looking device that you just stick an old HD into one slot, a new one in another, press a button and voila! Insta-clone. Can run diagnostics/repair if it's functioning at all. The cost of retrieving data from a dead drive is way too much, hence the advantage of iCloud or other backup systems. (I have too much to do that - video/RAW pics - so need to stay local).

I was just thinking, given the timing here, and the fact we're now in some kind of weird hybrid Soviet bloc/3rd World country, much more than anything resembling the US of most of my life, in terms of there being no real press, that there was plenty of megatonnage already involved in the violations (Rudy or Crowder in linked piece tossed them off - FARA, more serious ones, etc). And there was no time to waste.

Take what you've got, and start the hammering.

294 >>NPR headline: Experts Say Attack On Hunter Biden's Addiction Deepens Stigma For Millions

1. Sell your dad's influence for billions

2. After giving Pop his half, use the rest for decades of drug use, risky sex, knock up 3 women as well as date your sainted brother's widow.

MEANWHILE, millions of Americans lose their jobs, their businesses to China thanks to you, and then have their communities flooded with Chinese fentanyl and legal and illegal immigrants as well as refugees to compete for jobs, housing, government assistance

3. And now when caught . . . claim it's mean and hurtful to other druggies (THAT HUNTER HELPED CREATE) to note Hunter's life-destroying addictions.

Yeah, Hunter is the biggest victim in all this. Go with that, NPR.

Something something kid who kills parents demands sympathy because he is an orphan.

That's just good ethics.

Because, we all know, there is no reason to look at the contents to confirm the owner.

Because he may have stolen it.
Or put the wrong contact information when dropping it off.

And it's a terrible business practice to make a copy of the drive in case the customer comes back several months late.

335 "but then they added fake emails to the drive.

Sure sure. That totally checks out."

Yes, ace, that checks out. Everyone has known Hunter has a drug problem. Russians mixing truth and lies is obviously how this works.

At worst, the Biden family is kinda bad in the way the Trump family is really really really bad (Ivanka patents, Goya beans, Jared and ventilators, hundreds of millions in our money in their pockets). At best, Trump is doing what he always does: really ugly attacks on the family of his opponent, hoping to shake them up like he tried in that debate Trump freaking sucked at.

All this is dumb. Trump had four years to keep his promises, make his 'great deals' across party lines, really get things accomplished. He made the boldest promises no other candidate could come close to. Now it's re-election time and instead of running on successes, he is yet again making another nasty attack. His campaign is leaking nude pics of his opponent's kid.

We all know Trump's about to be fucking stomped in the election. It's because of this shit. When a persuadable voter stares at that ballot, sees Trump's name, they have nothing good in mind because he didn't do anything good. They only have bad stuff, including what these constant 'fuck up the family' attacks say about Trump's character.

What's sad is there is probably some truth to these stories. Hunter is trading on daddy's name and Joe should have shut that down. Biden will share a lot of Trump's traits and has gotten a pass because most comparisons favor Biden.

I wish Cruz or really anyone else, even Kasich, had been the nominee in 2016... that a Cruz voter like me, a guy who volunteered for Bush and Mccain, just voted for Biden, a guy I think is dishonest and shameless is fucking insane. But Trump is so so bad. In a few months, all of y'all will be admitting Trump was bad.

Let's just pray the country survives until it has a real leader. It's been 12 years since we had one I really liked.

Yeah, though I live in the burbs, my social circle is dominated by liberals. In particular, we are close to three other families and hang out with them often. But I have noticed that since this summer many of them have gotten suspiciously quite in their vocal disapproval of Trump. There are still a couple of lunatics who feel the need to bring up Trump constantly, but they are the only ones talking and the rest of us are just listening or nodding politely. Not all of them will cast a secret vote, but it would not surprise me at all if one or two of them did.

At the start of this coming out I did a little research. Obama and co were mad at the prosecutor because he wouldn't go after the people they wanted him to go after. What's the use in overthrowing a country's government if the people you want imprisoned aren't....right?

They started getting allies to complain to the press that Shokin was soft on corruption.

I guess Shokin has a spine though so he immediately opened up an investigation into the Biden's money laundering scheme in Burisma.

And...of course then Obama/Biden had to get him fired.

I said it was easy to get the hard drive out. And that it can basically run another MacBook no problem.

But if I am Rich Hunter Biden, I am not going to be doing this myself. He is not poor like you or I. He wants the data on the hard drive. Is he going to spend an hour away from his cocaine and hookers to do that? No. He will drop it off and have someone else do it. He is Rich. And you and I are poor. So we do shot ourselves.

I use both PCs and Apple. My PC is a top end Dell that I use for numerical analysis.

But I want an APPLE battery. It will last forever five years. I could put in a knockoff. But the knockoffs have no power management and die pretty quickly. And I can get Apple to do it for almost the same cost.

So why am I doing it myself?

FWIW, the anti Apple snobs like yourself dont recognize that the MacBook Pro is a very good computer. I have one that has a17 inch screen and is still working ten years on. My smaller 15 inch one is working 6 years on and will probably give me anothe 5 years of service. At least.

None of my PCs last like that. Even high end dells.

And linux is a pain in the ass. Useful for copying films and running open source numerical codes.

With a normal client? You'd be correct.

BUT, if you are restoring a computer, one of the things you need to do is go in and look to make sure programs and data have been restored.

ie, open a couple of docs. Open a couple of pictures.

Now, if while ensuring the data is intact, you see evidence of a CRIME? Like, oh, someone smoking crack?

Then you are in a very morally ambiguous place. You have evidence of a crime. What do you do? Look further? Turn it over to the cops?

If its child porn? You have to report it, but with other crimes?

You make a copy of the drive, because if the customer's complaint was "wouldn't boot", a bad or failing drive might be the cause. So if you do get it to boot, you copy the drive to save the client's data.

The DOJ and FBI are effectively dead in the water as institutions and only most radical surgery is going to fix them. Basically that means wholesale firings and criminal charges filed where appropriate even if the case was "closed" previously.

Conservatives just want to be left alone, but in general follow rules. So they will wear masks because they are asked. But they don't really care if others don't.

A lot of items on Rush about NBC misdirecting feed from last night's Trump "town hall" event -- e.g. messing up the quality of the feed for the first fifteen minutes, pushing the event over to MSNBC instead of staying on NBC, and TikTok users logging in via multiple routes to the Biden event in order to boost its numbers.

Now, that said, I really do not care where the viewership numbers settle out. It is illustrative, however, that "forces" were at work to inflate one event's numbers and deflate the other's.

550 475 Linux is pretty much ok now compared with ten years ago.
Today, it depends on which distro that you are talking about and I have had a helluva better track record with weird errors in Linux than Windoze.

Been running Linux for over one decade or so on a variety of machines and it more or less works. Some stuff takes a command line and you have to be choosy about new technology sometimes like printers to get native drivers but it works where a Windows box may lock up on something as mundane as downloading critical updates.

I run some windows machines as well for programs that only run on Windows that I do not want to use emulators for. Macs are okay if you buy into their schtick and I have an organizational top grade notebook that I basically use for note taking and that is about it because it works differently enough from other o/s to be a PITA and I hate their frigging keyboard.

For Windoze, voice recognition is one application and some of my video editors are another. Also have some expensive legacy stats software that runs best on Windoze machines.

==========

I fully believe the bread and war model of presidential elections.

Essentially, the status of the economy and the presence of major overseas conflicts are enough to explain presidential elections.

Booming economy (those 3rd Quarter GDP numbers are gonna be dynamite) and Trump has ushered peace instead of war?

Yeah, Trump's gonna win.

But COVID! The foreign attack on American soil that tends to get people to rally around a president? Sure, the media's made hay out of it, dumbing down the positive effect for Trump and heightening the negatives, but I don't think it's as much of a negative as people seem to think. There are very loud pockets that make it negative, but I kind of doubt that's the general consensus in the country.

There's nothing particularly special about Apple hardware, it's the OS that's different. As far as hardware goes Apple products are usually a markup of a couple hundred bucks compared to a Dell for instance. Your general computer providers are in turn a markup of about a couple hundred compared to custom built ones.

_____________

Several years ago, may have been around 2008 when he was being talked about for Obama's VP, some magazine did an article about Biden and it feature pictures of his homes, and they referred to the "Biden compound." There was some comment about that in some media sites, and the Biden people started insisting that it not be called a "compound," because that sounded too ritzy for a guy who was only making a low 6-figure senate salary. But the Bidens have insisted since then that their money comes from Joe's book deals and speaking fees, and not from the multi-million-dollar graft enterprise that many of us suspected, and we all now know, is where the money really came from. Joe Biden's real net worth, if we knew where he is hiding most of it (likely in trusts and offshore accounts) is probably in the hundred million dollar or more range.

I have about 10 or so keyboards in use or in storage. One of the best that I have had regarding longevity is several Dell Quiet Key keyboards from the late 80's, early 90's that simply work even though I bought them as surplus from Computer Geeks oh so many years ago. Use a usb adaptor for later models of computers and they still work fine.

Contrast that with modern gaming keyboard from China that last about 1-2 years. I use them such as Razor, etc. but they are not my favorites and do not hold up over time. Also have some of the microsoft ergo keyboards which are okay, some wireless keyboards that suck frankly in different ways, and even an old IBM AT keyboard that went with an Aptiva machine in the 90's. Computers are long gone but their keyboard soldier on.
