I added my grade for Trump's performance as an update to the previous post. Donna says at least one squish suburban woman in danger of defecting to Biden liked Trump's performance:I watched the Trump town hall with my sister, who is very definitely the sort of Republican suburban squish Trump is in danger of losing. She's scared to death of Wuflu, hates Trump's tweets and his personality generally, thinks Biden is "nice" and is only voting GOP because she recognizes the left is nuts. She thought Trump did great tonight and hated the way Savannah kept arguing with him. Trump was strong, but subdued, he didn't insult anybody, she thought his answers were great. She feels better about voting for him now. (And feelz are important to her when it comes to voting.) NBC thought Trump would be mean to Guthrie and all those Dem women asking him questions - this whole thing was obviously aimed at suburban women. Trump knew that and did a great job. Their hit job failed.That observation -- that the women questioners were there to upset Trump and provoke him into being mean -- is a great one. WILMINGTON, DE - As he prepares to enter the debate stage, this is one of those moments he probably hopes you don't remember.
Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden spoke on law enforcement at Bethel AME Church, a historically black church in Wilmington, earlier this year.
He wasn't there to encourage unity between law enforcement and the black community, however.
His comments were regarding use of force policies and training needing to change.
Biden said:
"Instead of standing there and teaching a cop when there's an unarmed person coming at 'em with a knife or something, shoot 'em in the leg instead of in the heart."
It's unknown if Biden understands that "unarmed" and "coming at 'em with a knife" are mutually exclusive.
It's also unknown whether Biden knows that police are not trained to shoot in the heart. Police are trained to shoot center mass, which is due to the area being the largest and therefore easiest to aim at to stop a threat.
Biden said, "There are a lot of things that can change," with regard to police training.

I watched the Trump town hall with my sister, who is very definitely the sort of Republican suburban squish Trump is in danger of losing. She's scared to death of Wuflu, hates Trump's tweets and his personality generally, thinks Biden is "nice" and is only voting GOP because she recognizes the left is nuts.
She thought Trump did great tonight and hated the way Savannah kept arguing with him. Trump was strong, but subdued, he didn't insult anybody, she thought his answers were great. She feels better about voting for him now. (And feelz are important to her when it comes to voting.)
NBC thought Trump would be mean to Guthrie and all those Dem women asking him questions - this whole thing was obviously aimed at suburban women. Trump knew that and did a great job. Their hit job failed.

I stopped by a week later and every!!!! window had a big hole torn in it. "It was too cold to smoke outside and we didn't want the house to smell all smoky". Baby of the family or not, Dad never bothered with the insulation again.

That's good to hear, I feel like the suburban housewife is where Trump needs to make up ground.
I'm encouraged that I have a sister-in-law who is pretty squishy on a lot of social issues like gay marriage, wage gap nonsense, etc.

I'm the same way. I like the 'ettes and a few women friends but women generally drive me crazy. Everything is feelings and trivial crap and things I'm not interested in. This is widespread, I think, and not just suburban women. The problem is it cannot be quantified. I'm really looking at the evidence that is ancillary to the polls, and not because I don't like the results. Something just isn't squaring. Again.
I am certain that if Trump does win (I honestly think he will but can't help but be troubled by the "evidence"), the polls will be used to claim fraud. That is being telegraphed to us.

The left is going to claim fraud no matter what. It won't matter how big Trump's win is, just like it didn't matter in 2016 that he wont the electoral college vote by such a large margin.
They just won't accept him winning in 2020, just like they refused to accept him winning in 2016. And they will claim fraud, foreign collusion, and whatever else they can come up with to justify their delusion. And they will continue all the smears and lawfare and all the other shit they've been pulling for the last four years, and will probably add some new garbage attacks to their repertoire of dirty tricks to try and impede Trump's presidency as much as they can. It's who they are and what they do.

While this is true, there are plenty of male leftists too. My kid brother is not a soi boi. He seems like exactly the type to vote for Trump - married, father of 2, used to be a mechanic (and still fixes my car), is very handy around the house, likes to fish, drink beer and watch football. And he lives in a fairly conservative suburb.
He's a diehard Dem - because mom and dad were (nevermind that they were also strongly anti-abortion and the same sort of blue collar whites the Dems hate now) He gives no more thought to politics than the suburban Karens do. It's like the Dems are his team and it would be disloyal to switch.
Sadly, I think a lot of people are like that.

IIRC, in the last (only) debate Trump challenged Biden to name even one police organization that is supporting him, and Biden couldn't come up with any.
It's hard to imagine any sane cop supporting Biden, given the idiocy that has been coming out of his mouth. But then here in AZ the campaign spokes-imbecile for senate candidate Mark Kelly posted something on social media where he referred to cops as "worthless f*cking pigs" (in a comment on a riot video). He -- and Kelly -- then had to issue groveling apologies, but it shows you where their minds are at. And if you're a cop, that can't be very comforting.
