TWITTER LOCKS NEW YORK POST'S ENTIRE ACCOUNT, BLATANTLY ENGAGING IN MONOPOLISTIC RESTRAINT OF TRADE

And New York Post editor Sohrab Amari has had his account suspended.

Earlier, friends reported they were being forced by Twitter to unfollow him -- again, illegal interference in competition in another field, namely, the fields of news media and information.

Update: A commenter tells me that this is not Sohrab Amari's actual account, but a parody one.

That doesn't cancel my friends' reports that they were being forced to unfollow Amari's actual account.

And yes, the NYPost's main account is now locked.

They've shut down an opposition newspaper -- which is the first step for any fascist junta.

...

Update:

@SohrabAhmari

Thinking about the sad-sack fusionist right liberals who are my adversaries and their dreams of neutrality. HA HA HA HA.

There is no neutrality in a civil war.

...

We have told them for years that this was coming -- turnkey fascism.

Turnkey fascism which the GOP enabled every single year by reassuring the Tech Monopolists that they could do whatever they liked, and the corporate-donor-servicing organization called "The GOP" would always protect them.

Even if they blatantly discriminated against the GOP's supposed clients, conservatives and Republicans. (Note: the GOP's real clients are corporations and billionaires who embrace a socially-liberal, corporate-supremacist libertarian position.)

Even if they blatantly attack the GOP itself.

Now the election, and the tech monopolies are going all-in -- just as we warned these corrupt fuckers in Conservative, Inc. -- and are emboldened to go Full Orwell because they know this is, in fact, the Last Election we'll ever have.

They'll never face the threat of legal action again, and they know it.

They just have to win this election for their Democrat coconspirators, and then they will have a permanent monopoly status locked-in and blessed by Democrat Party-owned United States of America.

People often don't know what gets you into trouble, antitrust-wise.

The problem with a monopoly is not that it's a monopoly. If it does not misuse its monopoly power, it's usually labeled a benign monopoly and no action is taken against it.

Monopolies break the law when they use their monopoly power (which includes the less-than-monopoly power of a dominant market position) to reduce competition.

The tech monopolies are obviously doing this. They are using their monopoly or dominant market position to interfere in the free operation of other markets.

Google -- which controls over 90% of the automated ad placement market -- has decided that ads cannot be run on the Federalist website, because they didn't like a comment written there.

That is illegal restraint of trade and a deliberate attempt to reduce competition in another field. That's illegal.

FaceBook and Twitter -- both monopolies in their respective fields -- have now decided that the New York Post should not be able to alert its followers to a major story it's broken.

Again, using a monopoly in one field to reduce the competition in another field.

But Establishment Corporate Republican have continuously reassured their corporate donors that they follow a bizarre interpretation of free competition in markets: That we should have free competition, until someone wins and becomes a monopoly, and then at that point, the monopolist is free to squelch all further competition, including in other fields of commerce.

That is not the law. I would like supposed "law and order" Republicans to explain why they are rejecting the law as currently written to impose this phony, never-passed law that we have free competition until someone wins, and then fuck free competition and accept what you're given, Slaves.

Will this episode finally wake Corporate Establishment Cash-and-Carry Republicans up?

Answer: No. Because they need the fucking money and wouldn't know what to do if they weren't being instructed by their billionaire patrons/bulls.

People say they don't want to interfere in the free markets.

Well, you can interfere a few times to stop the monopolists from interfering.

Or you can just permit the current system, of a dozen monopolists using their monopoly power to squelch any political expression they don't like.

And get banks and credit card transaction companies to boycott conservative speakers too.

This is interference in the free competition in the marketplace too, of course.

But Establishment Republicans are okay with this, like those at the disgusting National Review, because they're getting paid Cash Money from the tech monopolists to shill for the tech monopolists.

This sad pale c#ck and the corporate/billionaire owned Washington Examiner is worried:

@philipaklein

1h
There has been significant debate among conservatives regarding Big Tech censorship, with those such as myself fighting attempts to have government target Twitter and FB over bias. Thanks to actions taken by FB and Twitter today, my side is going to lose this battle. Badly.

He shouldn't be so worried. Republican office-holders and the permanent Republic DC swampstate will always have their filthy hands out for a bribe, and will always obey their monied masters' commands.

Hey, what other choice do Republicans have? To pursue an agenda that has actual popular support?!

Nah, Trump is trying that. And the Republican Establishment despises him for it.

So back to Plan A of endlessly pursuing an unpopular and unpatriotic agenda of selling out Americans in favor of Communist Chinese factory concerns, while taking billions of dollars from US corporations to ram this fucked-up traitorous system down our throats.

Look at this: An entire Twitter thread of censored material.

++++++++++
Practically, this is true. Technically, monopoly is illegal on its own. They broke up Standard Oil as a monopoly, despite knowing that consumer harm (e.g., higher prices) would result from the action.

But that's a nuance that doesn't matter here because these monopolies and cartels are abusive. These companies, when they are not monopolies (like Google is in search and advertising, and Twitter is in microblogging, etc.) cooperate as a cartel (like when they coordinate to deny hosting or payment processing). They act and coordinate in restraint of trade.

Break them all up. There will be consequences to that. It will kill some of the companies (the social media outfits need their monopoly-scale network effects to work) and it will cause some infrastructure problems on the internet and world wide web (Google's dominance of some infrastructure like DNS and their ownership of backhaul, for example). It will not be pretty. It will be disruptive and damaging in the short term.

And it is worth it. We'll figure it out. We always do.

3 years ago there were beheading videos and straight up pro-nazi content on youtube, twitter, facebook, etc.

Then they slowly started banning some content, and it got much more questionable about what was allowed and what wasn't.

But this REALLY accelerated with covid. Now anything not completely endorsed by the WHO is "misinformation"

Obama conference call leaked to Burisma: Biden emails
https://t.co/N0E1cDet6c?amp=1

The Obama administration let a Democratic p.r. company that worked for Ukrainian energy firm Burisma take part in a conference call about an upcoming visit to Ukraine by then-Vice President Joe Biden, emails obtained by The Post show.

An associate at Blue Star Strategies then emailed a memo with minutes of the conference call hosted by the White House to a top Burisma executive, Vadym Pozharskyi, as well as to Joe Biden's son Hunter and Hunter's business partner, Devon Archer, both of whom sat on Burisma's board.

The trip, in December 2015, turned out to be the one during which Biden later bragged about forcing Ukrainian officials to fire a state prosecutor who was investigating Burisma by threatening to withhold a $1 billion US loan guarantee.

128 Not that I disagree with the post here.

BUT.

Twitter is a sewer. Twitter amplifies the very worst aspects of social media with few if any of its benefits.

A quarter-century ago (!) some friends and I were talking about some fast-emerging phenomena called "the Internet", and one of them said "The information superhighway is just a bunch of drivers stuck in a traffic jam that extends as far as the eye can see, blaring their horns at each other, flipping each other off and yelling 'FUCK YOU' to each other." Perhaps it was true then, but Twitter is EXACTLY this.

Again, I HAVE to ask - why does anyone have anything to do with this sewer?

The final freedom we have is to vote with our feet. Twitter is not necessary. Human civilization existed for 6000 years without Twitter and can still do so. And indeed it should, for Twitter is a slow-acid drip corroding civilization.

Biden and son's international corruption is the same kinda "open secret" in DC as Bill Cosby and Harvey Weinstein's sexual predilections were in LA.

The only reason they've been protecting old man Joe is that the Democrat establishment believes the majority of America is soooo racist and sexist that only Joe can win back Pennsylvania and upper Midwestern states.

And Joe can (maybe) mobilize the black voters that turned out for Obama but wouldn't lift a finger for Hillary.

It's all so sickening, and I just wish it wasn't so obvious.

146 And Bell (AT&T) isn't a great comparison. AT&T was a chartered monopoly, operating under special rules. And they *asked* to have their charter removed and to be broken up. They had (through Bell Labs) massive capability in the semiconductor and computer businesses, but weren't allowed to operate in those areas because it would violate their charter. They wanted the charter removed so they could break into those high-growth industries.

They got their way, but it took long. If AT&T had been able to get into the desktop computer market in the late 70s instead of the mid 80s, history would have been different - but the shakeout in that industry was well underway by the time AT&T could legally enter it.

The tech monopolies (or oligopolies, which may be the better term) are the biggest threat to liberty, to the United States as founded and the principles of the Constitution.

In my early 20s, I flirted with Ayn Rand Objectivism and Libertarianism with the anarcho-capitalist flavor. But I never could get on board with monopolol-philia and it's one of the big things that made me reject it.

The argument is that, in "true free market" (which can never exist as they define it) a monopoly can't really exist.

And that's the very point of why govt power is required. Monopolies and oligopolies will use force (including soft, if not hard) to enforce their control.

Totally agree with the rhetorical point you're making, but the reason that people go on twitter -- apart from narcissistic twitter addiction -- is to engage in competition in the literal "market of free ideas" and to advertise the articles they've written and the positions they approve of.

the Monopolist Twitter has decided to use its monopoly power to squelch all competition in the marketplace of ideas.

Only one set of ideas is permitted.

174 An exurb from Archbishop Vigano's letter to PDT back in June :

The American people are mature and have now understood how much the mainstream media does not want to spread the truth but seeks to silence and distort it, spreading the lie that is useful for the purposes of their masters. However, it is important that the good - who are the majority - wake up from their sluggishness and do not accept being deceived by a minority of dishonest people with unavowable purposes. It is necessary that the good, the children of light, come together and make their voices heard. What more effective way is there to do this, Mr. President, than by prayer, asking the Lord to protect you, the United States, and all of humanity from this enormous attack of the Enemy? Before the power of prayer, the deceptions of the children of darkness will collapse, their plots will be revealed, their betrayal will be shown, their frightening power will end in nothing, brought to light and exposed for what it is: an infernal deception.

187 Its reasons like this as to why I'm an eeyore when out comes to Poll and everything to do with this election. Trump could be up 10 points, but every institution is going to work themselves to death to make sure he loses no matter what. Twitter and Facebook are currently risking everything to help Joe, as what they're doing is becoming a bigger scandal than what Hunter did, they seem to not care and are willing to blow everything up in hopes Joe wins (i guess at which point they'll be safe since he'll protect them)

Where are the hackers on the right? The people who have the skill to completely mess up facebook and twitter either on a technical level, or by seeing what dirt they're hiding? At this point anything done against them shouldn't be deemed a crime, as its in defense of America's election system.

217 @133: "what were the odds they'd eventually take sides?"

There was a cover story in Wired way back in early '00 that I wish I could still find today. I think it was a story about Larry Ellison and Oracle, but anyways, the gist of one quote that really stood out to me:

Silicon Valley was originally built by a bunch of drugged college dropout libertarian types, but few if any could resist being awed by the real and tangible power of established government.

In other words, even the most staunch techno-anarchists gave up their ideals once they saw behind the curtain, because they were arrogant enough to believe it'd "be different" when they were in charge.

That was twenty years ago, and now you've got an entire generation of less intelligent worker bee types that were fully indoctrinated in political correctness turned social justice speak throughout college.

There's zero pretense of not wanting and not arbitrarily exercising influence and power anymore. In fact, that's kinda the whole point of working for tech companies nowadays. Changing the world, not by invention, but wielding the cultural power of tools built by better people.

There is still a human factor at play and it might not be just muscle-flexing. It is possible that they (the guys at the top) panicked and seriously over-corrected rather than letting it play out. They're rabid partisans and this is an important period of time and they may well have just freaked out.

There is also the possibility - though this is going out into conspiracy territory - that they already know a lot about Hunter and Joe (whether these E-Mails or not, or whatever) and the corruption here and want to try to slam a lid on it because they have an inkling of what could come (e.g., it won't just disappear).

230 Two quibbles, ace.

"Fascism" - it's not really fascism, it's more like authoritarianism, at least it doesn't have a few of the elements that defined fascism. Corporatist authoritarianism? In any case, not the explicit and formal top-down govt-centric disaster that was fascism.

And given the orwellian Operation Bagration-like assault on language and meaning now roaring all around us - including in the use of the word "fascist" by illiterate totalitarian thugs like panty-fa - it's probably good not to join the mob pile-on.

2nd quibble is provisional. Isn't the "consumer harm"-based anti-trust concept the original, and best one? You allude to it yourself - a well-behaved monopolist generally doesn't get any attention from regulators. Even stifling competition, in and of itself, was not originally considered a harm, isn't that correct? One has to abuse the position so gained.

Isn't that one reason that the original, clean and excellent concept, centered on harm to consumers, was so much better than what has evolved into fighting-monopolies-out-of-principle, or however you'd describe it?

240 As Ace has pointed out a number of times, these guys don't have an opinion if they don't see it on Twitter first and even then they only go to certain sources for those opinions.

People like Allahpundit and Jonah Goldberg literally many times don't even know what the current news on an issue is because all they do is dip from the same bucket of stupid everyday.

Instapundit or one of his contributors posted something the other day from Lawfare blog and the author was still insisting, like it was as common as gravity, that Trump had help in the election from Russia. Even the media has memory-holed the Russian collusion story and this guy, presumably a lawyer, is still talking about it like some crazy Tumblr life coach chick with mental illness hair.

There is a famous quote by John D. Rockefeller that encapsulates monopolist thinking to a T: "Competition is a sin.".

Competition is what made him, and allowed him to rise to the top. But once you get there, you realize that it will allow the next young buck to take you down. When you get to the top, you want to prevent anyone else from taking you down.

BTW, I would take Rockefeller, J.P. Morgan, and those robber barons of yore any day of the week over the current crop of Oligarchs.

When you get to this level of power and money, your thinking becomes far removed from normal human thinking. We can't really conceive of how these guys think. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

290 Catch 33, correct, you apparently just aren't going to the right places. And I've never joined, just read it (though I do know some of the folks or have made an effort to contact them directly via email).

If you want just a taste, go to @ethicalskeptic, a data scientist with an unfortunately obtuse communications style, but who has had certain aspects of the information portion of the C19 debacle nailed from the get-go. If you can work through the formulas and models he built to adjust for lags in death reporting, and for "lockdown deaths", you get a star for your math and stats chops.

He called the first-look IFR months before CDC confirmed it (.26).

Just one of many. Or maybe Nobel laureate Levitt is more your speed - he actually ended up relying to some extent on Twitter for interaction and criticism, because (to his enduring shock) most of his professional colleagues (we're talking the very top level in biostatistics and biology) responded to his early work (also pretty much being vindicated) on immunity thresh-holds with "you shouldn't be saying this", instead of giving him actual feedback on his numbers and analysis.

And for a while there was a Turkish special operator who twitted from Syria - if you wanted granular detail on how things were going in certain areas, there he was with the info, including maps.

And on and on. So, yes, it seems you "haven't found" this kind of stuff, which is fine, but it's there, in abundance.

It's a good story, and cements his self defense claim for the 1st shooting - the other two were documented self defense by the video evidence, first was unclear.

leading to the first shooting, video shows Rittenhouse is attempting to flee, the child molester is chasing him, and the audio track has shots being fired which are *not* from the gun Rittenhouse was carrying - in other words, he did NOT fire first. His back was turned, he could not see who was shooting or where they were shooting. Now Wisconsin has charged some fool in the crowd with pointing a gun in the air and firing it while Rittenhouse ran from them.

Why this is significant: Rittenhouse was retreating, with his back to the crowd. Someone opens fire directly behind him. He turns, looks, and sees a man charging him. It is reasonable at that point for him to believe his life is in danger, which makes it reasonable for him to pull the trigger in that moment. Also, he did not start the confrontation, he was doing everything in his power to get away from it. That's all you need for a valid self defense claim.

The charges for all 3 shootings should fall apart now. Or, if the local DA wants to push them, Rittenhouse should be found innocent.

Back in the "free banking era" before the Federal Reserve, J.P. Morgan and Rockefeller and some others were actuallly more powerful monetarily than the US govt. They could've taken on the US Treasury, and that was one of the (many reasons) to take them down.

Big Tech is at the point now. Not money, not economic but with something now far more powerful: Information and the dissemination of it.

And that's why they need to be taken down, and taken down ASAP. They are too fucking powerful.

Most / all of it.

That's how this scam works.

Politicians use their friends and relatives as a way to launder bribery money.

Relatives get to keep a big enough cut to cover living expenses and taxes, but the money disappears in to trusts. Those trusts are used to fund the lifestyle of the politician.

Politician lives a life style way above what they should be able to live based on their salaries, but no one ever questions it, because THEY ALL DO IT.

The problem that the anti-government fetishists never address is the fact that market distortion by a private monopolist is just as damaging as market distortion by an overreaching government.

404 Why this is significant: Rittenhouse was retreating, with his back to the crowd.

You're just not getting it. Most of the networks and social media players intend on reporting that Biden won, regardless of the count. It's not who votes that matters, and it may not even be who counts the votes that matters. The powers that be today are pretty sure who reports the count is all that matters.

Now I want you to think about this - and I want you to try as hard as you can to let go of your absolute way of thinking. Imagine a blue state - pick one - turns up in Trumps column, but refuses to certify it. Now imagine that 3/4 of media reports that more ballots are coming. Now picture, get this, that they all agree to report a count that's outright fabricated to give that state to Biden.

If 3/4 of the media reports that Biden won that state - what happens ? It could be, and it looks like the DNC is going to explore this possibility, that there simply are not enough checks and balances in the system to stop the DNC from claiming a state ... with adequate help from the media to confuse if not convince the majority of the public regarding the outcome.

It doesn't matter who really won at that point - if the DNC can simply claim it anyway. The actual count becomes moot.

Good info thanks.

This correlates with some other information I've seen in the last day or so.

1) Communities are very important toward voting patterns. A county will tend to vote in a similar voting pattern year over year. If you are doing a poll in a state, you really want to get representative samples from every region or county, otherwise you get bad results. So a registration advantage in counties that voted GOP is going to result in a GOP advantage in the next election.

2) The latest NYT poll of Michigan reports a huge lead for Biden. The problem with that poll is that it also claims that Democrat early votes in Michigan are 3 times higher than GOP early votes. This is not true, there is a service out there that is able to measure partisan voting, even in states like MI and VA that don't report party ID. The true current early vote is 1:1 between the parties.

The current activities of the Biden campaign indicate that they think Michigan is trending their way, similar to how the Trump campaign feels about Ohio. But that is probably a mistake, indications are that SE Michigan is trending similar to NE Ohio and NW Pennsylvania.

454 The MSM story that "debunks" the Biden got the prosecutor who was investigating Burisma fired story is a bit of a sleight of hand. The fired prosecutor hadn't formally opened an investigation into Burisma ... but he (the fired prosecutor) claims he was about to do so (and this was known). So, there is indeed a distinction between getting an on-going investigation/prosecution shut down and preventing one from getting started, but I'm not sure it's really as exculpatory as the MSM likes to pretend.

Posted by: All Just Part of the Plan at October 14, 2020 06:49 PM (dYe5S)

455 I mean, if Joe Biden wasn't horrifyingly corrupt, why would Burisma hire his son? What possible reason would they have to hire a meth head Navy wash out stripper chasing lawyer with rotten teeth and poor hygiene, who doesn't speak the language, have any energy experience, or even been to Ukraine, to be on the board of a Ukrainian energy company? And why pay him $50k a month?

Why would they do that? Look at the fucking pictures - you think that meth smoking loser ever cleaned himself up for meetings? At the time of those photos, he was pulling down $50k a month working for a foreign energy company. That guy. Right there.

Spot on, Christopher. The most important question Wallace asked Trump--and only Trump--largely went without notice. "Will you agree tonight not to declare victory on election night?" Wallace asked POTUS. Hmmmm. What an odd question.

Have they ever verified the forensics on the bullet that killed the pedo? I mean, a lot of us wondered why his head wound was so small. The dude had been attacking him anyway, so I'd think even without the gunshot Kyle had reason to believe he was in danger.

Still, if there's no reason to be keeping this information under wraps, I'd at least like verification about the ballistics.
Posted by: clutch cargo at October 14, 2020 06:45 PM (8B6Ng)

No, haven't seen it. Don't even know if they have the bullet, it might have gone clean through. Still, Rittenhouse never denied shooting him, right from the moment it happened.

and to recap - 2nd shooting, skateboard dude runs up to Rittenhouse, who I believe is kneeling. Brings his 3' long skateboard up in prepartion to bash Kyle's brains out - Kyle shoots before he can. (Lesson: Don't bring a skateboard to a gun fight)

3rd shooting, where the man was not killed - as he runs up, video shows him with what appears to be a .357 in his right hand, raising it towards Kyle's head. But he hesitated, and Kyle didn't, blowing apart his bicep. Which ruined his ability to aim his pistol.

I'm in favor of breaking them up. Google in particular, and it's monopoly over online ads.

How massive ? During the Bush / Gore recount, it was as simple as two DNC monitors kicking the single GOP monitor out of a recount room, then conducting the count as they wished. This time - you'll have a media willing to embargo that story.

And that's all it takes. Like I said - we're getting ready to find out if we have insufficient checks and balances on the system. The DNC thinks we don't.

I'm been thinking about that. Most of the networks stopped covering PDT's daily briefings on covid early on (when it was the big story and everyone was at home to watch) when polling showed a huge surge in approval for POTUS and it was recognized that the American people were for the first time seeing with their own eyes what absolute asshoes the media is, rather than only being allowed to see the manipulated "edits" on the news.

490 Omg! The bombshells in this story about Deleware computer store owner John Paul Mac Isaac!
---------
Man Who Reportedly Gave Hunter's Laptop to Rudy Speaks Out in Bizarre Interview
https://tinyurl.com/y3c3geae

"On Wednesday afternoon, a group of reporters, among them a journalist for The Daily Beast, spoke with the owner of the shop, a man named John Paul Mac Isaac who lives in Wilmington, Delaware.

Mac Isaac appeared nervous throughout. Several times, he said he was scared for his life and for the lives of those he loved. He appeared not to have a grasp on the timeline of the laptop arriving at his shop and its disappearance from it."
------------

"He appeared"? Care to cite evidence of this? Nope, just throw it out and continue on with the "journalism".
-----------

He also said the impeachment of President Trump was a "sham." Social media postings indicate that Mac Isaac is an avid Trump supporter, and voted for him in the 2016 election.
--------------

Oh, noes! He doesn't believe the MSM impeachment narrative & is one of the deplorables!
--------------

He said that Hunter Biden actually dropped off three laptops for repair, an abundance of hardware that he chalked up to the Biden son being "rich."
----------

Three laptops & hardware! Holy shit, this is the motherload of Biden family corruption!
-----------

Throughout the entire interview, Mac Isaac switched back and forth from saying he reached out to law enforcement after viewing the files in the laptop to saying that it was actually the Federal Bureau of Investigation that reached out to him. At one point, Mac Isaac claimed that he was emailing someone from the FBI about the laptop. At another point he claimed a special agent from the Baltimore office had contacted him after he alerted the FBI to the device's existence. At another point, he said the FBI reached out to him for "help accessing his drive."
----------

Oh, no! An computer illiterate FBI agent asked for help accessing the drive. "Journalist" decides this is evidence of lying & duplicity!
-----------

Mac Isaac referenced the infamous Seth Rich conspiracy theory-which holds that a DNC staffer who police say was murdered in a botched robbery was actually killed off by Clinton allies because he leaked committee emails-as reason for his paranoia. He said he made a copy of the hard drive for purposes of personal protection.

"They probably knew I had a copy because I was pretty vocal about not wanting to get murdered," he said, "so I'm going to have a copy."
------------

Man fears for life after it is proven that the FBI & Deep State tried to take down a sitting President. How dare he! What a rube!

It is a conspiracy a Hell of lot of healthy people around the Clinton's are pushing up the daisies.

Associates of the Democrat party are actively talking about purging & killing those who oppose the Communist Revolution.

Conclusion: Silly man! Fearing for his life. Now come close to the "journalists", you won't even initally feel the knife entering your body!

The only bombshell in the journalisming...

And yet some kid in his bedroom was able to take over the accounts of the former president and many others just a few weeks back.

Everything has vulnerabilities, the best codes have flaws that just need to be spotted, everything in a code is written by a person or protected by a person, which means those people know how to bypass security, therefore others will also know how. People hacking have always been one step ahead of those writing the code, it's why many of these companies hire hackers to break in so they can fix flaws, but those hackers never give the company all their secretes, because they need save a few flaws for the next time they need to break in.

Every computer is vulnerable, i wouldn't doubt that everything we would need from the FB or Twitter server is sitting on a drive in a mossad office right now, and it shouldn't be election interference if the information is taking down those trying to manipulate the election.

498 I thought the core problem was that the tech monopolies realized how to use the network effect to create a natural monopoly and to avoid any liability under the consumer benefit model of antitrust enforcement by "giving away" their product. The network effects were theorized in Reed's Law, Metcalfe's Law, and Beckstrom's Law. The consumer benefit model was developed by the Chicago School economists and legal scholars, such as Bill Baxter and Robert Bork.
