15 I have several relatives, my side as well as MR. NEC's side that have taken to the fainting couches about PDT. So un-presidential, so mean, so, so, so.
I started thinking how much my long dead relatives would have loved him, my Democrat relatives, you know the ones from the other side of the tracks (if that term is still allowed). Yes, my grandmother fell for the good looks of JFK and the fact he was Catholic but they would have loved his tell it like it is no holds barred way of speaking and doing.
Hell, even Mr. Nec's right side of the tracks parents wouldn't have reacted the way some of their children are. A lot of the residents of the US have gone insane, left as well as right.

39 San Fran. No. However we purchased them through Costco. Not only does Costco have the best price and very helpful personnel, they also have a policy for a one time replacement if they are lost in the first year. She will have a new one by next week. The other part that was helpful was that her remaining one needed a battery, since I still cannot get into her apartment to liberate her stash of batteries due to Covid restrictions, Costco cleaned the remaining one and replaced the battery.

You'd be surprised how unpopular Lewis is here. When he started he was regarded (rightly so, IMO) as a breath of fresh air. But arrogance, snugness and petulance have come to the fire as his career has gone on. He's now seen as a whiny little shit.
Mansell also wasn't short of a whine or two in his time. But it was always clear that he was always struggling to make the weight and was tall for a F1 driver.
So even though he drew far criticism from what's laughingly called the sports press here, he was always affable and personable away from the racetrack and you never heard the stories of general douchebaggery that you read about Hamilton. Not that you will read those in the mainstream, press of course, where those drunken hacks hang on every bit of idiocy and twattery that dribbles from the twat's lips.
Mansell got far more press flak in his time than Hamilton for some reason.

Yep!

Imagine if they reported influenza season as they have COVID-19.

Lowest CDC estimate for symptomatic illnesses for seasonal influenza in past 10 years was the '11-'12 season.

Illnesses: 9.3 million
Medical Visits: 4.3 million
Hospitalizations: 140,000

Average over 6 months (OCT-APR):

Illnesses: 51,667 per day
Medical Visits: 23,889 per day
Hospitalizations: 778 per day

And that's with a vaccine.

Checking the latest data for COVID-19, shows 7.1 million USA cases.

Looking at the influenza data again, I wonder why influenza cases were so low in '11-12'. Did they miraculously nail the vaccine that year?

'10-'11: 21 million / 37,000 deaths
'11-12: 9.3 million / 12,000 deaths
'12-'13: 34 million / 43,000 deaths
'13-'14: 30 million / 38,000 deaths
'14-'15: 30 million / 51,000 deaths
'15-'16: 24 million / 23,000 deaths
'16-'17: 29 million / 38,000 deaths

Funny how influenza deaths seem to be lowest in the season before a Presidential election...

Posted by: Skip at September 27, 2020 06:55 AM

I speculated on that earlier this week.

So we know he sundowns by 9am each morning. What we don't know is when he wakes up. So we don't know how long he is "normal" after waking up.

But let's say he wakes up at 5am. That means he has 4 hours after waking up before he sundowns.

So, to prep for a 9pm 1-hour debate, they would send him to sleep at 9:30am and need to have him sleep until, say, 7:30pm. And then he wouldn't sundown until 11:30pm. So he'd be somewhat coherent for the debate.

I'd say for sure they are trying to shift Biden's circadian rhythms.

They began...what? Two weeks ago? Which is probably not enough time to get them to all line up perfectly.

So, they'll dose him on things like melatonin to try to force the issue for debate time.

And probably load him up with some kind of stimulants to get maximum Biden at the right time.

This will probably work well enough to give us the smug, smarmy laugh at your opponent, lying Joe, we saw in the VP debates.

It's the idiot's way to "debate" because it requires almost no prep. And for some reason, a lot of people find it compelling.

And he's probably being trained like a dog to bark out the clever, killer lines that Hollywood writers have written for him. These will be used in the commercials to show that Biden "won" the debate.

As much as I'd like Senile Joe to show up at the debates, he'll probably be just good enough for true believers.

Low Bar Joe will cross that low bar. Unless, Trump can trip him up.

And if anyone can, Trump can.

257 At the NYT:

Rather than regenerating a long-vanquished prejudice, Ms. Barretts nomination has merely renewed attention to a fundamental conflict, centuries underway, between Catholicism and the American ethos.

What in heck is an "American ethos" and where is that narrowly defined so that we can base our lives on it.

I submit that while these bigots at the NYT are whining about faith and mumbling something unintelligible about "American ethos", they completely fail to understand that the Constitution was based on Religious Faith.

Our Rights do not come from mobs protesting in the streets or the lunatic ramblings of purple haired, tattooed and drugged up college professors.

In fact, it is the anti-Americans who compose the NYT who are pushing that stupid 1619 Project which crudely attempts to rewrite history and the alleged "American ethos".

Read the Declaration of Independence. It is our country's manifesto. It is what people risked their lives, fortune and sacred honor to create and defend. All over the document and what later became this country's Constitution there is the testimony on the reliance of a transcendent Creator who is the author of Rights and who inspires us to have meaning, and is the foundational "ethos" that made the former United States the greatest country for freedom, prosperity and life ever.

And these retards want to have a nihilistic, despotic death-cult of neo Marxism be the "ethos".

2) Is it a good idea for the GOP to start the confirmation hearings on Oct. 12th? With the actual vote to confirm to occur about a week before the election? Seems counterintuitive to me. It certainly assures that Barrett will be front & center all the way to election day, for better or worse.

291 This nomination is really bringing out the Left's ugliest side.

Its always been this way.

OK, its been this way since social media.
Before then, people would have a purpose to get together and do things. With social media, its simply here is a forum with random people from all over, the forum doesn't have a purpose so people blurt out whatever is on their mind.

The problem is, after blurting it out, they hope someone notices and cares. The more others care (e.g. like, mention, retweet) the more it reinforces the act that got the dopamine reward.

So to be heard in a crowd, one must shout louder. But of course others want to be heard and recognized for existing and mattering, so they shout louder and the whole noise becomes a deafening din.

And that is social media. A bunch of insecure, infantile narcissists with impulse control issues screaming out whatever is most over the top so that some stranger will click "like".

321 Quite possibly one of the worse things to happen to the Left was the invention of social media.

I completely disagree. It is their greatest triumph.

They have a candidate who has one foot in the grave, and the running mate is a psychotic power mad slut.

They both can hide forever and because of social media they have an omnipresence through their surrogates.

Social media also completely controls any possible conversation so only the Left's messages are heard and all others are muffled or silenced.

Through social media, they have made it possible to destroy community and allow the insane the same or equal footing with sages.

Plus, social media is an excellent tool for destroying the amygdala which is a catalyst for narcissistic psychopathy.

if you are the Left, or Satan [BIRM] social media is a great and powerful weapon against human flourishing.

322 What a rude expression anyway, "The dogma lives loudly within you." Why not say, "Your faith seems quite important to you. How would that effect your judicial decisions?"

That's postmodernism for you. It's chaos and insanity with a fancy pseudo-intellectual name.

George Orwell defined this in "1984". It's called 'doublethink'. It means you can believe opposite things to both be true, depending on circumstances and the needs of The Party.

327 There is also a Joe Biden Superstore in Salem, but you have to get there early. They put a lid on it at about 9 AM.

Lot of good recycled material there from previous Dem campaigns, plus the Neal Kinnock tapes of course. Try to make it in when Kamala the "AsstMgr" is in charge. I've heard some stuff about her, Man.
