The key to this problem is recognizing that Black is backed up into a corner and his pieces are kind of stepping on each other.

1.a5+ Kb7

My chess app decided that 1...Kxa5 allowing the fork was the better option. I played it out because I saw that if I wasn't careful, Black could free up one of his pawns. 2.Nc6+ Kb5 3.Nxa7+ Kc4 4.Ke5 c5 5.e3 Kb4 6.Kxd5 c4 7.Ba4! c3 8.Bc2 a5 9.Nc6+ Kb5 10.Nxa5 Kxa5 and wins.

2.Nc6 Qa8
3.Kg7

The queen is toast.

3...Qc8
4.Bxc8+ Kxc8
5.Kf6 Kd7
6.Nb8+ Ke8
7.Ke5 Kd8

Note: that cryptic line of letters and numbers you see underneath each board diagram is a representation of the position in what is known as "Forsyth-Edwards Notation", or F.E.N. It's actually readable by humans. Got back from the Prayer March. Big crowd. Lots of praying and singing. No trouble from those who would cause it. I think the AntiFa/BLM crowd were down around the Supreme Court. Didn't see any around the Mall. My sister and I left at 2pm. They were still praising God when we left. I'm glad I went. It was worth it. I don't like big crowds though. It wears me out for some reason. I'm probably just introverted enough for that to happen.

Walked past the White House and it was quiet. Really quiet. Almost creepy. Lots of damage being repaired caused by the Democrats Paramilitary wing. The VA took quite a bit of damage. They even caused heavy damage to the WHO South American offices on 23rd St.

Were you not here for that? Was this while you were on vacation? Some "gal" claiming to be a midwesterner showed up on one of the threads, complaining about how all the conservative sites have all this stuff about bewbs and whatnot. She particularly complained about the chess thread.

Much, much better, and thanks so much for asking.

He's been home for several days now and has already had all of his follow-up visits. His lungs are clear and the cardiologist is thrilled with his recovery and will be following up with more testing over the next couple of weeks.

The only thing holding him back now is his vision, but even that has been improving. Saw a neuro-ophthalmologist just yesterday who found no damage to the optic nerves or retina and expects the issue to resolve over time.

I'd like to thank you and everyone at the HQ who has been praying for him. Keep 'em coming! I know in my heart that's what's gotten us this far.

give "Utopia" a try.

It's a very whacky, violent conspiracy show centered around a comic book that some followers believe predicts the end of the world by man-made plague.

They all seem like deluded comic con losers but then....shenanigans ensue.

You will be entertained.

Ackshualley, it reminds me in a funhouse mirror way of the excellent "12 Monkeys" TV series.

I don't know if the series ends well (like the 12 Minkeys series) as we have about 4 more episodes of Season 1 to watch tonight.

But, so far so good.

Reminds me of a clip I saw recently, posted somewhere else, of Diane Fiendstein meeting with a group of children. One of them asks about scientists claiming that we had 12 years left, or some other nonsense like that. To which Fiendstein corrected them on some point, and I don't remember what it was, but a teacher or whomever said something like "please, these are children, they have to grow up in this world."

To which Fiendstein started bigfooting the kids, bragging that SHE has been in government for decades, and SHE just won an election, and maybe they should shut up and listen for a change.
