Sundown Joe Awkwardly Shuffles and Charlestons to Spanish Pop Song About Breathing On a Girl's Neck and Whispering Tender Nothings in Her Ears

The Large Hadron Collider has finally detected the long-predicted Cringe Boson, the particle responsible for transmitting the Cringe Force throughout the universe:

Why did Biden choose this song? Well, in reality, it's because they got an artist associated with the song to introduce him.

But in a heightened reality: It's because Sundown Joe finds the lyrics zipper-strainingly hot:

Someone made a parody of the clip. Trump retweeted it:

Because Donald Trump dared to share a parody, all of the leftwing propaganda organs, including the New York Times and Washington Post, are shrieking again.

How many parodies/remixes have been made of Trump? How many of those have been shared by NYT and WP reporters? Have any of those been branded "misleading" and targeted for censorship?

I missed this example of Sundown Joe sundowning on video yesterday.

It's another Biden Disaster.

211 According to Defense News, the Air Force developed the new fighter in about a year - a staggeringly short amount of time by modern standards. The Air Force first developed a virtual version of the jet, and then proceeded to build and fly a full-sized prototype, complete with mission systems. This is in stark contrast to the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.

Huh.

I wonder what in the world could be different?
Posted by: blaster

I saw that this morning.

Is it real? Is is propaganda? Is is vapor ware?

Reading history, the Have Blue project was flying prototypes of what became the F-117 years before the actual plane went into limited production by Lockheed.
The biggest problem with modern fighters is that they are inherently unstable to give them a high angle of attack, and they all have to be "fly by wire", ie, fly with a computer interface. And writing that software takes a lot of time and work. If the Air Force already has built a flying prototype, it must also have the software written.

Well, since you asked:

There was a heavy German influence in certain parts of Mexico in the 19th century, as waves of immigrants moved there. And the German immigrants brought with them the instrument they used in oom-pah bands back in Germany -- the accordion.

Over the decades, the accordion became integrated into Mexican music in those regions (mostly Chihuahua Durango).

277 The reason the Senate Subpoena story just pisses me off is that these assholes could have done that three years go, or two years ago, or even a year ago, when all of the rank and file was begging them to do it. They did nothing.

Now they all *know* they are going to recess for the rest of the year in three weeks (ok there will be a useless lame-duck session where nothing ever happens) and they know very well that there is not enough time left on their calendar for any of the subpoena's to be acted on.

So this is a very deliberate and calculating way for the useless GOP Senate leadership to make us grassroots supporters *think* that they are doing something we want them to do, even while by it's very timing is it guaranteed to accomplish nothing at all. Trump remains the only leader in Washington who I have even the slightest bit of respect for.

Rick Beato did a review of the current top 10 hits today, and surprisingly to me at least, he found reasons to praise about half the songs. Production values, the melody, their use of ACTUAL instruments, etc.

I'm still not going to listen, but at least he found some value.

What was funny to me though, is he was sitting there with his guitar, and he'd hear a few bars, and before the song even went there, he was already predicting where it would go, and started playing along.

There were a few songs with which he was already familiar, but some were new to him, and he found the notes and direction the song was going right away.

And yeah, the Latin stuff is hot garbage. Not as bad as Cardi B "singing" about her snatch, but bad enough.

2) "If a quartermaster... sure run a department store, like in a second floor Ladies Department, know what I mean?" = "Veterans have acquired important skills and experience which should qualify them for good jobs in the private sector."

See? Wonder if I could get a job as a Biden translator?

His first wife got drunk and crashed her car into that truck with the kids while pregnant because she found out abut Joe's second affair (this time with Jill, who she considered a friend).

When I knew them the boys were basically spoiled but ignored. Jill's daughter was doted on. Beau dealt with stuff better and Hunter was kind of a dark guy, very quiet.

For him to use Beau's death makes me sick. if Beau was alive none of this would be happening. he wouldn't stand for this. Hunter is not a strong personality and probably not many brain cells left by now.

For him to use his first wife's death for sympathy STILL is just - I mean it's always been sickening. He sold his soul a LONG time ago, and probably even then did so at Jill's urging.

This is a microcosm of why Trump won in '16 (at least one major component): he's authentic. He is what he is and is honest about it. While all of his competitors were dressing in flannel and jeans and pretending to be a normal person (like they *all* do every damn year), he came out of his chopper dressed for the board room and hobnobbed.

It's who he is. And it shows. He wasn't acting.

370 What was funny to me though, is he was sitting there with his guitar, and he'd hear a few bars, and before the song even went there, he was already predicting where it would go, and started playing along.

There were a few songs with which he was already familiar, but some were new to him, and he found the notes and direction the song was going right away.

And yeah, the Latin stuff is hot garbage. Not as bad as Cardi B "singing" about her snatch, but bad enough.

I think if you watch his video about the Lawsuit against Lady Gaga's shallow it contains some of the reason for this. I think he breaks it down to why the lawsuit is kind of silly but will keep happening is because of how homogenized pop music has been required to be.

I haven't seen that one, but he's more than once located and shown how pop music is garbage.

I'd almost go so far as to say the science is settled, although his conclusion yesterday is that the top 10 right now is less manufactured and autotuned than it was 1 year ago.

A small sample size, to be sure, but I guess he's trying to be hopeful.

this was "common knowledge" way way back

I mean, it was the widely disseminated rumor up here ( really don't want to doxx myself but anyway - wilmington area let's say )

and the other day I mentioned an old Bulletin expose on this at the time - to be fair the Bulletin WAS the more right leaning Philly paper

but even recently there was some article mentioning how EARLY the affair between Joe and Jill started - he had another affair during his first marriage, ended that, and then Jill (who was married to Joe's best friend) broke up both marriages. the two couples were friends.

anyway

it's gossip but pretty prevalent gossip. his wife was DEVASTATED when she found out about the affair. a lot of speculation that she was trying to kill herself and the kids.

Beato's great.

And I'm not a musician, but sometimes when an artist who's music I'm familiar with releases a new song, i pretty much predict where it's going to go the first time I hear it.

In Beato's case, he knows all about music and how certain chord progressions and melodies are used constantly in pop music.
I swear country music uses about three or four melodies in all music and three of them probably go back to The Carter Family adapting folk music from the British Isles

Posted by: JoeF. at September 16, 2020 01:01 PM (HrMC1)

Yeah, he's good at recognizing it, and he's certainly not the only one. I just find it funny, he hits play, listens for a few seconds, starts reciting the chord progression, smiles knowingly, and then starts playing along.

To a song he's never heard before.

With the cancellations of live expositions and shows in the jewelry and lapidary worlds, instructors of classes ordinarily held at those events are taking them online and virtual. One of which I attended held in August had about ten instructors and twenty classes. Biden actually did wreck this his friend's Corvette while he was on a date with his friend's wife:

"That October he got confirmation. 'I was at work and a guy came in and asked: 'Do you own a brown Corvette?' I said yes, it's my wife's car. 'He said back in May it had crunched his bumper and they told him to get an estimate and he never heard back from them. I said: 'Wait a minute. Who is they?' It's actually not really hard.

Beato has been making and teaching music for 30 years.

He also has good relative pitch, he also knows all relevant chord progressions for pop music, which there are roughly 10 that have been used in, oh, about 50K songs over the last 75 years.

So if you can suss out the key of a song, E Major for instance, there really only 3-4 chords that are going to make up the average song.

If you take Robin Thicke's blurred lines, there are only two chords in the whole song, G and D.

Not really hard to figure out.

I've been playing piano off an on for 40 years.
