So most trump supporters won't participate or admit honestly their vote to a poller because they view them as aid and comfort to the enemy.
Switchers - democrats who are angry and now voting trump - are telling everybody. So they respond. You get the weird 50 50 result because of the trump shy, but it still shows a giant swing in AA support in Trumps favor. Can you think of a reason why the people who voted for trump last time won't vote for him now? His tweets? I didn't think so.
I would love to know how many times they called "republicans" before they supposedly got 460 people to answer their questions as republicans.
Just spit balling, but Trumps got a double digit lead in PA.
Also, the media drama is an indicator that they know they are in for an ugly night.

Well, if we threw out the disposable ones after one "use" (I don't have the studies in front of me, but I think they're "good" for a few hours, max), and washed the cloth ones (which is are next to useless anyways) several times a day, there is minimal risk to wearing a mask.
However, since none of us do that, we all are at high risk of breathing in whatever bacteria is growing in masks, which I'm sure is a lot, since we our math is full of bacteria, so is the outside world, and bacteria loves moist warm places like our masks.
Anyways, I expect a lot of bacterial lung infections will come out of this mask wearing thing. Which, if you're young and otherwise healthy, its a minor inconvenience, but if you're old and already in poor health, could lead to bacterial pneumonia and death.

Karl Denninger over at market-ticker wrote an essay on this topic based on the results from his county in Florida that instituted a mask mandate but with no other variables (e.g., big holidays, etc.). Cases soared at +5 days from the mandate. Hawaii also instituted a mandate and their cases and hospitalizations have started to climb.
Masks may be marginally effective. Maybe. But that depends on the use of *very* good practices. Clean masks. Use only clean hands to put them on. Use only clean hands to take them off. Dispose of them immediately. Wash your hands immediately after unmasking. Don't reuse a mask, ever (or, for cloth masks, don't do so without high-temperature laundering). Don't wear a mask for more than 90-120 minutes, less if it's humid. Be constantly vigilant for cross-contamination.
So yeah, masks may be marginally effective. But without pitch-perfect practices (which no one outside a lab or medical setting has), they may well be deleterious.

This is the fallacy of mistaking one side of the equation for the other.
The majority of people who were molested don't go on to molest others. They do much more self-damage than they do to others.
But where do the molesters come from? They learn. As youths they are hypersexualized from being exposed and/or victimized as children, and they don't have the mechanism to channel those thoughts/behaviors in healthy ways. So they victimize others.

Your sexual preferences and kinks get set at a far earlier age than what most people think. If the abuse happens at whatever age the victim starts associating certain behaviors with arousal, you get the ones who repeat the behavior.

I find Milo to be insufferable, but I think this got conflated because he rather matter-of-factly says the sexual contact he experienced as a youth was NOT abuse, that he liked it.
So of course they accuse him of doing it to kids now. Which again, is this inability of some people to understand which side of the equation their on.

I think the argument on both sides is a bit pointless because there's examples to confirm each (people who do drugs in response vs abuse others)... I think it would be far more useful to know what percentage of abusers were abused.
If it's 80% then it's probably worth nothing when a deranged shit like this is spotted. If it's less than 50%, OTOH, than there's an equal or better chance that any random pedo is just a sadistic fucked up scumbag.
In which case I would feel pretty awful tarring abuse victims with the abuser brush.

Your sexual preferences and kinks get set at a far earlier age than what most people think. If the abuse happens at whatever age the victim starts associating certain behaviors with arousal, you get the ones who repeat the behavior.
I am not sure why you think this would be psycho-babble. Boys who grow up in homes where their mother is beaten tend to beat their own wives/girlfriends; girls who witness their mothers being beaten tend to find men who beat them, too.
Why would sexual abuse be any different?

People seem to be very uncomfortable with the idea that some types of behavior that society thinks of as monstrous was somehow tied to how they were treated as children.
The truth is, almost all of it is. All of it. The drug abuse, the violence, the sexulizing, and on and on and on, you can tie a straight line between the TERRIBLE behavior we see in adults... and how they were abused/neglected as children.
Are there people with genetic defects? Sure. Are there people with bad behavior who learn it as adults? I'm sure that happens too.
But look at your average adult reprobate today, and I'll show you someone who experienced some horrific shit when he/she was a kid.

After a few personal interactions and watching family member's children grow up over the last few decades I've decided whatever gene makes people more susceptible to mental illness is the dominant gene. It works that way in order to purge it from the gene pool, but we now embrace mental illness so it can no longer happen. Instead we just get more and more of it.

I have no problem with them being put down, regardless of what may have happened to them. That makes me a cold bitch, I know. But neither does it stop me for feeling bad about what happened to them.
I do think some people are born psychopaths, too. Ted Bundy, very good example.
Richard Ramirez is a good example of horrific childhood impacting his behavior.
But there are undoubtedly thousands of people who had equally horrific childhoods and didn't turn in to sadistic serial killers.
Maybe the ones who "went bad" would have been mean little bastards anyway, even without the abuse.
Maybe half the people who get into S&M are abuse victims who are keeping their sexual kinks controlled in a more acceptable manner.
We will never know, really.

I think it was Thomas Wictor who argued that Trump was intentionally holding back all Spring to keep the Dems from realizing that they can't win with Biden. If Trump had started to peak earlier, they might have replaced Biden, but now it's too late. Seems plausible to me. I also expect some Durham indictments in the next two months, for maximum electoral effect.
