The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

I don't wanna go on vacation. There's nothing about it that appeals to me. People look forward to doing that; I look forward to getting up every day and doing something. Gene Simmons

Quote II

The purpose of a vacation is to have the time to rest. But many of us, even when we go on vacation, don't know how to rest. We may even come back more tired than before we left. Thich Nhat Hanh

Quote III

Leaving sex to the feminists is like letting your dog vacation at the taxidermist. Camille Paglia

Bias in an imperfect world? Who knew?

When I started looking into this subject, I predicted a person’s physical attractiveness would only have minor advantages. I was wrong.

In fact, I was so wrong, that in one study, the effects of physical attractiveness on judges were so influential, they fined unattractive criminals 304.88% higher than attractive criminals.

Surprising, I know.

Before we proceed, I want to address a few concerns of mine. Firstly, the information that you will read may cause some readers to feel unsettled. This is not my intention. Yes, it is disheartening. But the purpose of this article is to inform lawyers and other decision makers so that they can use the attractiveness bias to their advantage or to counter it.

A second concern of mine is that I don’t want to over-emphasise the attractiveness bias. Judges and jurors are affected by all kinds of cognitive distortions, such as emotive evidence, time of day, remorse of the defendant, socioeconomic status, race, gender, anchoring effect, and the contrast bias.

In the first section of this article, I give a ‘straight-to-the-point’ summary of the research conducted by 27 studies. Next, I enter into greater depth on the attractiveness bias and its effects on judges, jurors, and lawyers. Lastly, I provide research on the attractiveness bias in everyday life. Arguably, the last section is the most interesting.

Enjoy!

The ONT Is Always Looking Out For You TM How to survive a shipwreck.

On November 25, 2019, Chris Carney and his two-man crew, Pete Brown and Jun “Sumi” Sumiyama, set off from Japan on their way to Hawaii in a 42-foot sailboat, the Coco-Haz III. They had four weeks to cross the world’s largest ocean. The boat’s owner, a retired Japanese dentist, needed the trip done in a hurry—he’d lose a boat slip he’d rented if it didn’t arrive in time. Carney didn’t think they would make it on schedule, even if everything went right. But things went far worse than he imagined when two catastrophes left them stranded in the middle of the sea.

Here is Carney’s story, as told to Outside.

It was morning when it happened. I got my raingear on and went up on the deck to make some changes to our course. I stuck my head up, and I couldn’t believe it—the mast was gone.

Medical marijuana goes wild, literally.

The Warsaw Zoo will begin treating three of its elephants with CBD for stress relief.

Life can be stressful even for animals. In recent years, owners of domesticated mammals like dogs, cats, and even horses have turned to hemp products to help their animals de-stress in a way that is not harmful to their bodies.

Anything for a cig. Anything. Genius Award Winner.

SEPTEMBER 1--A 19-year-old Floridian arrested after she pulled her pants down and urinated in front of a cop car made matters worse on her way to jail when she allegedly offered to perform a sex act on a patrolman in exchange for her Juul e-cigarette, records show.

Madison Ann Bryant was charged Sunday with disorderly intoxication, a misdemeanor, and offering a bribe to a public servant, a felony. She was released that evening from the Lake County jail after posting $3000 bond.

Cops discovered Bryant around 2:20 AM sitting in the median of US 27 in Leesburg, a city about 45 miles northwest of Orlando. Bryant explained she had exited a nearby truck after arguing with the male driver about “their relationship issues.”

Four Washington Post reporters wrote an article on why people are souring on California (fires that are self-evidently caused by gerbil warbling are only part of it).

It contains this howler:

But for many of California's 40 million residents, the California Dream has become the California Compromise, one increasingly challenging to justify, with a rapidly changing climate, a thumb-on-the-scales economy, high taxes and a pandemic that has killed more here than in any other state.

Uh, New York has had 33,023 deaths. California has had 14,378 deaths.

**New Jersey** has had more deaths than California - 16,031.

You may not always get the kind you intended.

You might find upthread, that I'd raised a toast in Salute to him and to ibguy, both. Sincerely meant.

Sadly, about five years ago, my neighbor's 24 y/o daughter went by the same route as your son. Alas, hers was the end of a life-long cycle of seizures, and it left her with the mind of a 3rd grader, at the end.

But still. Her mom was not ready, and damn sure none of us neighbors here were, either.

221
I'm watching reruns of Shark Tank, (not the NFL Sunday game) and a guy named Scott something pitched his clothing technology as a new opportunity, asking 500K for 15%. But not the combined business, which included the existing related business, and the sharks even bumped it to $1 million.

But he had already used the technology to create a multi-pocket vest called Scott-E Vest, supposedly as proof of concept. He now was offering the clothing technology as a separate investment only.

Now this was recorded in 2013, and he was a real ass and quite disrespectful to the sharks, and they not only said no, but bitched at him for wasting their time. That almost never happens.

*light goes off*
I remembered the guy from another story. In the winter of 2016 (?) he was on a 4 chair ski lift in either CO or UT. If you have skied, you know that you often meet wonderful strangers and talk about all kinds of stuff.

Well, this guy, who had been running TV ads for ScottE-Vest on FOX for years, almost as often as My Pillow does these days, started up a conversation and bragged that he is making millions selling on FOX, who are mostly stupid Trump supporters. He kept on smearing FOX viewers and Trump. The others on the lift continued to listen to his dirty, non-prompted smears of Trump and FOX viewers all the way to the top.

That story got out and ScottEVest ads disappeared. I vaguely recall his sales, after this incident, dropped like a rock.

Couldn't happen to a more deserved guy. Aluminum-baseball-bat-level sneer on his face, he had.

241 A thought on the unattractive/attractive criminals. Sure, a lot of it is unconscious bias; but there's also an element of "damn, you disrespect us so much that you didn't even try to make yourself look presentable for this trial." Which is why defense attorneys work hard to try and make their clients at least look like they're making an effort.

Abraham Lincoln story: A member of his cabinet was promoting a friend, he wanted the man to be given a job. Lincoln met the man, and turned him down flat. When asked why, Lincoln said "I didn't like his face." The man's friend was taken aback, and said "Good heavens, the man isn't responsible for his face!"

Lincoln replied "At his age, He is."

this may in fact be very close to "it"

Posted by: BlackOrchid_j9HX3 at September 13, 2020 10:42 PM (j9HX3)

Very very close. I figured there'd be more popping up here in the Commonwealth, after the idiots in Pittsburgh the other day. My guess is that it will stay to the east, though, at least for now. It's closer to their power centers in Philthy and Baltimore and DC. Keeps their supply lines short and makes it easier to bring in reinforcements.
I've been surprised by the number of folks around here who are talking about CW2 in a serious way. Five years ago, everyone would have laughed. Three years ago, it would have been considered "fringe." Now it's moms in the parking lot waiting for their kids and talking about "getting ready."
Very very close.

257 If anybody is interested, they just released the body cam footage from the Lancaster shooting. Sorry I can't link to it; it's on YouTube.

Long story short: cop shows up to domestic disturbance; female in the doorway; male yelling in the background; female gets out of the way; male comes charging out with a HUGE knife in his hand and makes a beeline for the officer; officer runs and then quickly fires four shots while the male is closing on him.

100 percent justified shooting, but that won't stop the idiots from tearing the city apart.

The same thing happened to my brother in law years ago. He bought a cocker puppy that was a biter. When there is a lot of irresponsible breeding by people trying to make a quick buck, you end up with a lt dogs that have temperament problems and genetic health problems. The first two dogs I owned were from the kind of breeders who would advertise in newspapers. They were both shy, and they both had chronic health problems where they needed prescription drugs their entire lives.

THis last time I got an adult beagle from a rescue. She's a nice, healthy dog.

382 I posted this very late Friday night, chopped it down a bit, but you will see it again before Nov 3.

------------------

5 years ago, I moved from the 8th WA US District to the 9th District (actually where I moved was gerrymandered by the state Democrats, it should still be the 8th) and since Adam Smith (Traitor - China) is the 4th senior US Demo Rep and represents the 9th here, I have given up on federal politics.

But then, surfing the Democrat Newsletter of Puget Sound, aka The Seattle Times, and realized I should quit whining and do something.

So I am. I used to live in the WA 8th District, and I am asking every Moron to help Jesse Jensen. Like Alek Skarlotos in the OR 4th, he is a young vet who is also a family man.

Who is Jesse Jensen?
from the Seattle Times, Oct 1 2019 (the first article I can find about him from the local press):

A senior program manager at Amazon since 2018, Jensen previously worked for Microsoft. He has not previously sought political office, but was an aide to Republican Sen. John Thune of South Dakota in the mid-2000s. Jensen spent seven years in the U.S. Army starting in 2007, including deployments as a platoon leader in Afghanistan.

In an interview last week, Jensen said he was motivated to run for office after hearing stories of inadequate medical care by the Veteran's Administration and of suicides by combat veterans with whom he'd served.

Jensen has been lining up support and endorsements for months from local and national Republicans. He argued Schrier's voting record in Congress is too liberal for the 8th District, calling her a "rubber stamp" for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Here is Jesse Jenson's website:

https://www.jessejensen2020.com/

The WA 8th district has historically been Repub. Dave Reichert held it until Dr Kim Schrier, Leftist Issaquah Doctor and Wine Mom friend, took it in 2018. Her campaign was mostly "OrangeManBad". She got only 43% of the primary vote last month. Schrier is a Nancy Pelosi lemming, and beatable.

This is doable, polls have them getting closer to the Demos that are now in office.

Help elect two fine American Citizens, Jesse Jensen in WA-8, and Alek Skarlotos, OR-4, who is up against Peter DeFazio, who has been there for 33 years, longer than Alek has been alive! (see video on his site).

Alek was one of those servicemen in the Clint Eastwood movie, "The 15:17 to Paris".

And I am asking each and every one of you to help. Jesse and Alek will both undercut Nancy Pelosi's control of the House. From behind enemy, Blue State lines, no less.

President Trump needs Nancy to go, and electing Jesse and Alek will make President Trump very, very happy.

Please consider donating a few bucks, or more, to Jesse. And if your generosity is still a go, here is Alek Skarlotos website:

https://www.alekfororegon.com/

Unlike !Jeb, I won't ask you to clap, however.

Morons DO have standards.

393 OT - there is a very nice analysis by Shipwreckcrew over at RedState if anyone cares to read it which, if you have been following JackStraw much here, also rather explains well why the delays in prosecution by Durham in the coup attempt.

Its a complex prosecution that goes back many years and all the possible defendants are rather well lawyered up or actually criminal lawyers themselves - a pretty daunting task for any prosecutor. Also, indictments are easy, that's true, but going to court quickly when there are so many lose ends not tied up tightly is problematic, perhaps allowing for case dismissals that make for a lot of defendants crowing about "political prosecutions" - and that would leave the Trump admin red-faced.

I think that Durham's assistant leaving at the end of the case is nothing more than "poaching" of a great criminal defense attorney during a time when a lot on this front is happening with high profile defendants...the press wants it to be something it is not. Durham is probably done with the investigation/depos and now is building a prosecution team to bring to court - its possible that activity is not his assistance's forte, as it were...look to have "something happen" rather soon...

395 Got a couple questions. A) when did the Muslims start saying Jerusalem was Islam' third holiest city?

Islam began as a bastardization of Judaism. Mo made noises about bing the prophet that was promised. His Jewish neighbors nodded their heads and ignored him.

After said rejection, he tortured and killed his Jewish neighbors and turned Mecca and Medina (at the time Jewish territory) into his Holy Cities.

When Jerusalem fell under Islamic control he built mosques there, but iirc, pilgrimage to Jerusalem was never part of daily life.

For all the things that Wikipedia gets wrong, their cartridge stuff tends to be ok.

The Creedmore isn't based on the .308, but *fits* in a .308 length action.

Though it's velocity and bullet selection is damn near point-for-point identical to the 6.5x55, the Short Magnum fad from the "aughts", taught the ballistic world a simple truth.

A short-ish fat-ish powder column, proves to give a measureably more consistent "burn", and hence lower shot to shot velocity variance (Standard Deviation), than the more traditional long, skinny case of the .30-'06 or *sigh* 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser.

And so, the Creedmore also slightly out-performs even the LOVELY .260 Remington.

I wish this were not so. I'm kind of lifetime deep into the 6.5 Swede world. It's been good to me so far.

But I think I'm going to add a Ruger Precision Rifle in said 6.5 Creedmore.

Unlike the fad of the 6.5 Grendel, the Creedmore has racked up LEGIT accolades in actual shooter vs. shooter competitions across the land.

Which are a superior test than "Gunwriter vs. Bullshit" articles.

Ignore each and every State Official, and just turn-out a million or more CA up-in-the-hills residents go there and CLEAR the fucking shit.

And if a "State Official" shows up to whine, strip that person of their credentials, and if in uniform, tear off the patches, badge, nametag and radio, and send them away in shame.

If that State Official was armed, well, 20 AR-15s pointed their way will grease the skids for the previous paragraph.

In other words, FUCK THE STATE, and just DO what needs doing and do it NOW.

They will never rally to be able to respond in time or in enough force, to make a difference.

Next year will be too late.

446 "Riding the Storm Out" is a great song (although that shirt is hideous). The Speedwagon had a bunch of hits and has a bunch of good songs, but so do a whole lot of other bands. A LOT. That is one of the contours of my fanaticism for Blue Oyster Cult. They have a few hard-earned hits, but really, they don't sound like anybody else. I love hearing Blue Oyster Cult somewhere. I love hearing "Riding the Storm Out" somewhere. I always miss Blue Oyster Cult after a few minutes days. I have never missed REO Speedwagon. The next closest band for me would be Judas Priest, but not to the same extent as with Blue Oyster Cult. I love Priest's "Sad Wings of Destiny" album -- it's one of my favorite albums of all time -- but "Tyranny Mutation" got me through 10th grade.

461 Actually, Swedish guy in charge of C19 strategy just followed the manual. Everybody else conducted the idiotic, disastrous experiment in "mitigation" - which delivered no mitigation, but massive social and economic damage.

And, if one does reasonable and conservative estimates of excess deaths due to "lockdowns", the "mitigation" may well have *increased* total fatalities over what they would have been.

And it's not just "Fauci" - it's the CDC, the WH task force - and their boss, where the buck stops - that have delivered this disaster. Leave March, even April, aside, just for the sake of discussion. By May, no excuse to not be talking in scientific terms about it all. But STILL not the case from the federal level, which provides massive political cover (and keeps the country misinformed, same result) for the continuing vandalism. "Crush the virus", "gains", "winning" - all ridiculous nonsense and not harmless, at all.

And Atlas, who probably knows the reality but won't speak out to abandon the false paradigm. Without that, it's just details.

477 So, about vacations...

Labor Day weekend we embarked on a road trip from San Diego to Northern CA... part vacation, part memorial journey for Average Son. Met family in Lassen N.P., stayed there a couple of nights. After Lassen, the plan was to drive to Gasquet near the Oregon border to visit a place where Darlingtonias (carnivorous pitcher plants) grow wild. Unfortunately, that area was right in the middle of the Slater Fire, so we only made it as far as Klamath, where we had reservations for the night. (The drive east from Lassen to about Willow Creek was under near night-time conditions due to the smoke.) Next day we drove South to Miranda in the Avenue of the Giants, with a stop in Arcata.

Our plan was to drive to the Bay Area on Friday to spend a couple of nights with our old neighbor. But we got a call from my BIL, who was house sitting for us, on Friday morning that our dog Smokey was lethargic and not eating. Not a big deal, we thought; he'd had episodes like that before. But as a precaution we had him bring Smokey to the vet. Turns out it was worse than we thought, and Smokey had to go to an emergency/specialist vet for ultrasound. We decided we'd cut our trip short by a couple of days, and would just drop in on our neighbor for a quick visit.

While we were there, we got the word from the vet: internal bleeding caused by multiple tumors on the spleen and liver. Untreatable. We hit the road again, this time to say goodbye to our beloved dog. After 7 1/2 hours we arrived at the vet at 12:30 AM Saturday morning, and had a few minutes to say bye to Smokey. Average Wife and Daughter went back to the car, while I comforted Smokey as the vet put him to sleep.

RIP, Smo. You were a good dog.

Ah, well. Life goes on. There will be other disappointments, and other joys. Hoping for more of the latter, because we've had our fair share of the former...

After said rejection, he tortured and killed his Jewish neighbors and turned Mecca and Medina (at the time Jewish territory) into his Holy Cities.

503 Well when I get to my *second* AR build, I was kind of thinking of 6.5 Creedmoor - and if the .mil adopts it, that obviously helps with costs, both platform and reloading components.

But my *first* AR build has yet to happen, even though I have some of the parts and tools. I'm doing it more for edumucation than anything, as I'm not that excited by anything with plastic made after 1955. But I should still do it.

504 AOP,

If you're reading, I ordered one of those Xlink boxes yesterday we were talking about, the BTTN model. This has bluetooth to cell capability, but also an output to landline as well, and allows one to use dial phones with VoIP such as cable modem voice, which is what I want it for.

It will be here in a few days, and I'll see how it works. Pulse dialing will not work with the cable modem voice systems, as they are tone only.

While you can get a other, cheaper pulse to tone devices, I wanted the BTTN because it is software configurable, and you can tweak all sorts of settings, including output ring power levels for very old dial phone ringers.

Also, you can play around with the pulse frequency, and get the unit to accept out of spec dialers. Some older dialers would get worn and dirty and the pulse rate could get out of spec. This can cause some of the pulse to tone converters to get confused and misread the pulses.

I had to get the folks a new cordless phone a while back, and I got a Panasonic that had bluetooth capability. While it won't put the cell on the phone wiring, it will allow you to use the cordless handsets with the cell phones. It works, although a time or to, it would drop audio on one of the two cell phones I tried it with.

That is beyond my mother's ability, of course, and she'll never use it, but I played with it.

So that's another option you might be interested in. You put the cell phone next to the unit, pair with bluetooth, and you can use the cordless handsets for the cell calls.

Think I have some "starter" punches too, or maybe they're on my list at Brownell's. The whole process looks very easy, only thing that has my attention is mounting the barrel to the receiver, but I've got retired machinist fellow range officers who can lend me any tool that exists (in this case, torque wrenches).

It's more a question of space in the safe, time in the (current) shooting schedule.

I even have a few cases of ammo (including nearly a case you helped pay for - pick-ups off the range from military night training), and reloading dies, and components ..... just no actual rifle.

An "acute" case of the disease, I guess.

I'm just throwing out raw meat now.

"So, exactly how many cops need to be killed, to make our society fair and just?"

"Do you know that the Democrats are more aligned with the Chinese Communist Party than the Republican Party, and is that ok with you?"

"Is the fact that Biden's brother got a 1.5 Billion dollar government contract to build housing in Iraq, when he never pounded a nail or drove a piece of construction equipment even bother you?"

"Must be nice to be tossed out of the US Navy for doing coke, and then get over $3 million from a Ukraine energy company, and then a few years later, managing a $1.5 billion dollar portfolio from the Communist Chinese Government, and have no idea what you are doing. Just because your dad is Joe Biden?"

It isn't my late mother, but like I said, people who I have known for decades and have gone wobbly or #OrangeManBad.

My view at this point is that I will either get them to think with my sharp words, or in a few years, CW2.0 will start. Maybe it will anyway, but at least I gave it a shot.

But this probably won't help.

We really need a rumble in MI. Only 2016 key swing state that hasn't seen ruinously stupid mob/racist idiocy very likely to damage the racist-authoritarians (Dems). MN, probably cinched a likely Trump pick-up state already.

Somebody paid for a billboard in LA - think it said "Had enough? Vote Republican" - something like that. Surely reaching, but who knows. The short respite Trump represents in the dizzying collapse may get broadened a bit.

They're less than $500 and will tell the whole freaking world that you're in distress and where you're located, even if you're dead. WATERPROOF (important on a boat) satellite phones are even cheaper, or you just store the damn thing in a ziplock bag if it's not waterproof.

1) There will be a really loud CRASH as the thing hits the deck and a big hole will most likely appear in the deck (like a 50 foot aluminum pole had hit it)
2) The boat will list suddenly and violently to whatever side the mast fell on and
3) The boat will probably be going in circles because it has a brand-new fifty-foot long side rudder

I know HQ default mode is pretty cartoonish - every single thing that happens has 1,347 dimensions, all involving "the left" and a Hungarian-born tycoon, but that's idiocy. S**t happens, s**t-stirrers seek to capitalize. It's what they do, it's kind of their job, vocation, lifestyle, whatever.

That's not new, happened in prior eras, including the 60s.

Fittingly, the "protesters" in Lancaster are now starting .... dumpster fires! Symbolizes much of America today, sadly.

French Broad Plumbing LLC, 21 Edelweiss Dr, Horse Shoe, NC (Employee: James Clayton Clevenger) holds a Plumbing Class I license according to the North Carolina license board. Their BuildZoom score of 105 ranks in the top 8% of 101,103 North Carolina licensed contractors. Their license was verified as active when we last checked.

579 so the idiot in Lancaster pulls a knife on cops?

The office released a statement on Sunday night that said the 27-year-old who was shot dead, Ricardo Munoz, was armed with a knife and pronounced dead at the scene Sunday evening.
The office said that the video showed Munoz emerge from a house and brandish the knife in a threatening manner.
"The officer then fired," the statement read. "No one else was struck."

Couple of weeks ago, had a guy go out to clear some trail, got killed by a grizzly bear and then snacked upon by a black bear.

They shot the black bear but never found the grizz.

DNA, or so I'm told, is how they track them.

Moral of the story--never clear a trail unless you are with someone slower than you.

586 I believe the dead knife-performance artist in Lancaster was guilty of previous assaults ..... with a knife. Suppose I could check, but anyway.

So far we've got a drug OD scumbag in Mpls, a violent rapist resisting arrest and endangering children in Kenosha. a violent arrest resister who stole a weapon from an officer in Atlanta, a knife attacker in Lancaster, and, finally, the poor woman in L'ville, who looks like the victim of police errors.

Quite the pantheon for a "movement" based on "moral" considerations, and financed by the Fortune 500, and embraced by all major league sports!

591 Let's have some fun.

Modern science surely must be able to come up with an objective definition of 'black' beyond the Antebellum Democrat's 'one drop rule'. Perhaps DNA testing to determine the amount of sub Saharan Africa ancestry.

Watch as the Democrats and their racist academics tear themselves apart determining the cut off point.
51%? 75%? Or every racial set aside up for grabs; greatest percentage wins. Your race card contains your number so it becomes easy to see who trumps who.

Or, determine just what concentration of MajikMelanin gives rise to what skin color. No more 'paper bag test'. Let's talk cold, hard numbers here.
Graph Melanin (*trumpet fanfare*) against oppression (*crowd boos*) and see what's what.

Endless popcorny fun as 'Science!' marches on!!

SB-145 removes the automatic requirement for a person to register as a sex offender when "convicted of non-forcible sodomy with a minor, oral copulation with a minor, or sexual penetration with a minor," so long as the child is at least 14 years of age and the adult is not older than the child by more than 10 years when the sex crime took place."

612 More on SB-145

"Note the language used by Sen. Wiener when he celebrated Newsom's support. SB-145 "ended blatant discrimination" against LGBTQ youth," presenting the recipients of intercourse as the victims of "blatant discrimination." However, SB-145 has no impact on the minor, but the person convicted of statutory rape. Indeed, presenting SB-145 as having achieved some form of equality for minors is absurd when the law only weakens the punishment for those who abuse minors."

669 Fuckity. Now I have to decide, and soon, whether the track change east of Mustang Sally is gonna force my evacuation. Mom is on oxygen, and if the power goes out for *days* it could get rough. Possible Cat 2. Fuck You, Mother Nature and 2020.

Not to mention no internet. Yikes.

676 Probably too graphic (like the Twin Towers) but Trump should show the pictures of those deputies trying to get cover while the "citizens" of Mogadishu, I mean Compton, celebrate. Every. Day. Until the the election and for a week after when he settles family business there.

I have a full fledged oxygen concentrator, with its own 12V -120V inverter, but I have to repair the damaged cord for it. Task One for today. Task Two is filling the car and all gas cans.

We will survive. It just sucks.

685 Mornin', all,

Dispatch from (near) Ground Zero for the latest storm: Sally is expected to make landfall tonight, possibly as a Cat 1 hurricane. The experts expect it will take a slight turn to the north about the time it touches Lousy-ana, so that the Miss. Gulf Coast should get the worst of it.

My employer is closed today and tomorrow at least, so I have two more days to relax. That's if the power doesn't go out. Otherwise I'm not at risk from flooding, I'll move my car away from the trees, and I have supplies for me and the felines.

687 bill - it's all a question of watts ... should be a sticker somewhere on the concentrator that will state the power requirements. if not in watts, multiply volts x amps. how does this compare to the inverter output ?

So except for loss of power, we should be cool.

701 New Harris County Charts WhuFLu

New Cases 9/11 4
Cases Reported 1300

So the CDC is reporting 1300. These cases may be up to 60 days old. Public collection cases processed at the state lab are reported when the harris county worker logs the data in the database.

710 Bias in an imperfect world? Who knew?

When I started looking into this subject, I predicted a person's physical attractiveness would only have minor advantages. I was wrong.

In fact, I was so wrong, that in one study, the effects of physical attractiveness on judges were so influential...

*SNIP*

A 19-year-old Floridian arrested after she pulled her pants down and urinated in front of a cop car made matters worse on her way to jail when she allegedly offered to perform a sex act on a patrolman in exchange for her Juul e-cigarette, records show.

Madison Ann Bryant was charged Sunday with disorderly intoxication...

*checks attractiveness of Madison Ann Bryant*

Yep, she's not doing any time for her disorderly intoxication. Small fine, if that.
