Drawing on data from the Democracy Fund + UCLA Nationscape’s weekly tracking surveys, I found that unfavorable views of the police are trending back down toward their pre-protest levels among white Americans and have dipped among Black Americans. White respondents are also becoming somewhat less likely to say that African Americans face "a lot" or "a great deal" of discrimination, though those numbers remain higher than they were before before George Floyd was killed in May. Black Americans' views on the discrimination they face have remained essentially unchanged.I would imagine that seeing blacks parading through white neighborhoods with drums and horns at 2am telling whites "No justice, no sleep" and demanding they give their homes to black people is undermining Black Lives Matter's claim that black people are just absolutely terrified of police. If you're marching through white neighborhoods threatening violence and demanding that whites give you their houses, that tends to suggest you're not the Oppressed hounded by the state, but instead the Oppressor given carte blanche license by the state. That in turn may contribute to whites' declining estimation of how much racism blacks face. You can't claim "We're totally repressed" as you march like an invading army through white neighborhoods telling them they are not allowed to sleep and must give their houses to you.

What's significant here is that 97.72% of people just hung up the phone on the pollsters.
I'd be willing to bet that the vast majority of those who hung up are Trump supporters, who generally hate pollsters and who fear being "outed" and "doxxed" if they admit their opinions.
This could be the biggest poll-bias year of all time.
Gone are the days of the "shy" conservative voter; now they're the fearful conservative voter.

I do think Trump has at least a narrow probability of defeating Harris, COVID, riots, economic collapse and election fraud notwithstanding.

I used to check that poll often back in the dog eater days. I've never graphed it, but I developed the distinct impression that there was a correlation of the ups and downs based on day of the week. It would seem to start the week low and then go up as the week progressed. Actual numbers of the high and low didn't matter, it was just a trend that seemed to be there long term.

I think it's not just a matter of the prosecution being weak. I think the media's lies actually work against them - when normies see the full story, they're shocked and tend to acquit. We already knew the story and assume most people do. But a lot of people don't, and they're still basically fair enough to be appalled by the true story and vote to acquit.

I still think that most of the Libertarian Party's rise in percentage of the popular vote from their historical average of 1% to 3.5% in 2016 was from disaffected Republicans who refused to vote for Trump, couldn't vote for Hillary, but still voted.
That comes to about 3 million votes right there, and it would surprise me if most of those didn't go home to voting for the Republican ticket in 2020.

Actually, this has been the game for years in Broward and Philly. Once all the rest of the counties have reported, they know how much of a gap they have to make up with fraud.
Everyone got wise to the game, and central PA started to refuse to report until Philly had turned in their numbers. There are few counties in Florida that do the same thing now. They don't want Broward to know how many votes they are behind. Let Broward guess first. In 2016 they guessed wrong.

From what I researched of MI, PA and WI, the determining factor in those 3 states was a loss in Democrat candidate votes and a massive increase in third party voting.
And it looked like the majority of those third party votes hurt the Democrat candidate. As Trump either kept the GOP vote or increased it (huge GOP increase in PA in 2016).
The interesting factor for November will be to find out where those 2016 third party votes go... back to the Democrat or to Trump.

Without going beyond a surface reading of either, most people will assume the Libertarian Party is of the right and the Green Party is of the left. Both increased their totals, but the Libertarian Party did it much more than the Green Party.
I think the Libertarian Party largely benefited from Republican voters and Trump got a lot of crossover Democrats.

My experience with Fords and the A/C system is, if you're losing freon, have both schrader valves changed. I've done that multiple times on them and have yet to have it leak off afterwards.

There's a poli sci prof in Florida who is prominent for posting and analyzing election data. He's also very public on Twitter for leftwing advocacy.
He's now pushing for Dems to vote in person during the 14 day early Voting period in late October.
Why?
Because he looked at the several thousand rejected vote by mail ballots and discovered that they were almost 2-1 Dem ballots. They were either improperly filled out or not signed.

My experience with Fords and the A/C system is, if you're losing freon, have both schrader valves changed. I've done that multiple times on them and have yet to have it leak off afterwards.

My 94 year old mother-in-law died in her 2005 Cadillac when the battery died and the doors automatically locked, trapping her inside the car in her driveway. She wasn't bright enough to figure out the manual lock, so she was in the car from Friday afternoon until Monday morning when my wife found her.
Neighbors passed by, knowing that it was highly unusual for her two cars to be outside and the garage door to be open, especially all night, but nobody stopped to check.

I am an electoral college nerd. If this was a fair election, trump would win all the states he won in 16 plus he would flip Nv, MN, NH, NM, Co, etc...but with mail in ballots NV is gone, CO is gone. Michigan is going to be interesting to watch.
Going back to 2000, Michigan has been pretty much a lock for the Democrat candidate.
2000: Democrat (Gore) +217,000 votes
2004: Democrat (Kerry) +165,000 votes
2008: Democrat (Obama) +823,000 votes
2012: Democrat (Obama) +449,000 votes
2016: Democrat (Clinton) -10,700 votes
The Michigan win for Trump came out of nowhere in 2016. And it was due to 295,000 vote loss in Democrat turnout and a 199,000 vote increase in third party turnout. In addition to a 164,000 vote increase in Republican turnout.
Going to be really interesting to see how Michigan goes. Especially with John James trying to take out Gary Peters in the Senate race.
Will the state go back to being solid Blue again? Or is this trend to the GOP here to stay?

We were away with the grandkids at a waterpark for the weekend, otherwise my wife would have been there as she was every day for the past 10 years or so.
What I can't believe is that none of her lawyers or accountants checked on her. Also, no one from the college, symphony orchestra or museum that received millions in her will bothered to stop around that weekend.
She didn't leave a nickel to her grandchildren or great grandchildren, not even for education. Not a word of explanation.
