Netflix Proudly Presents "Cuties," A Movie About an 11-Year-Old Girl Who... Becomes Obsessed with... Twerking... and Then... "Explores Her Femininity"
The film seems to concern a black immigrant girl who becomes "fascinated" by a Parisian "twerking crew," who also seem to be 11. This could possibly be the Elusive Unicorn of a movie that features a Muslim family getting the hypersexualizing degredation that filmmakers like to inflict on Christian families. But no, I don't think the movie would have gotten funded if this were a Muslim family. I would bet big money that it's a Christian immigrant family. Either way, of course, it's awful to promote twerking -- a highly sexualized dance which is meant to simulate a woman having sex -- in 11 year olds, or feature any 11 year olds "exploring their femininity." Netflix is now editing their descriptions of this movie. Here is the current version of the description:

Obviously, that's where I've gotten the "fascinated by a twerking crew" and "exploring her femininity" language from. Key quote from the twerking trailer, said by an adult woman to an 11 year old child: "You're a woman now." No, she's not. Why are you claiming otherwise? Update: And now, the phony apology.
"We're deeply sorry for the inappropriate artwork that we used for 'Cuties.' It was not OK, nor was it representative of this French film, which premiered at Sundance. We've now updated the pictures and description," the service told Deadline in response to the backlash. That's a standard strategy for these kinds of movies -- show a lot of softcore child-porn-y scenes, and then at the end say, "See how awfully women are treated?" It's a textbook way to get away with making a pedo movie while pretending you are condemning it. Seen the same gimmick dozens of times. It was even common back in the old 1950s exploitation film days -- show kids smoking evil-weed marihuana and then having a great time and the girls gets pregnant -- and the in the final scene, the screen flashes, "Kids -- don't take drugs!" But of course after watching the movie, all the kids rush out to find some weed.

That's a standard strategy for these kinds of movies -- show a lot of softcore child-porn-y scenes, and then at the end say, "See how awfully women are treated?" It's a textbook way to get away with making a pedo movie while pretending you are condemning it. Seen the same gimmick dozens of times. I am pretty sure that it was toned down by American producers from what the original writer intended. But its still there. I too didn't see much when I first watched the movie partly because the assassin seems like such an innocent other than the killing thing, but upon later viewing its a bit more clear what was going on. Like her getting out of bed with him wearing his underwear.

Two kinds of people drive for Uber. Those who do it to make a living have it tough. It doesn't pay well enough for that to defray the cost of the capital to buy the car. Uber is a shitty full-time job. Then there are those who use it as a side gig, where the cost of the capital isn't really a factor and they want to make some coin on the side. Seems to work well in that use case. And that is the original intent. The whole point was "use what you have to make some money on the side."

Going to go out on a limb here, having done no recent research. The USPS, to control costs, has been removing many local sort facilities for *years* and concentrating into gigantic regional sorts, usually anchored in major hub cities. For example, smaller cities in the Denver area don't do local sort anymore, they all sort through the hub out near the airport. If I had to make a wild guess right now based on nothing but vague prior knowledge, I'd say that Putin has nothing to do with it and it is part of the USPS' years-long centralization operation to reduce the number of sorts and post offices.

This is slightly correct. Poor phrasing, but what I mean is they are taking machines offline because of capacity. Certainly they are also trying to optimize while they do that. MSM being who they are will not mention this is a couple decades long march to offline machines due to volume drops from.. wait for it... email.
USPS first class mail has dropped volume significantly over the past 20 years. Proportionally packages are more of a factor, and these machines do not sort packages.

(1) First, allowing girls to engage in an expressive dance form is hardly "sexualization." Girls as young as three take ballet lessons. Many of the steps they learn are very much akin to "twerking", which has only been infused with sexuality due to the deliberately misleading and suggestive nomenclature. The ballet equivalent would be a "ballotté", that consists of coupé dessous performed in sequence with a rocking, swinging movement.
(2) As the ex-husband of a devout Muslima, I can assure you she would not be offended by the alleged content of the film. Nor would her former employer, an elderly conservative Methodist gentlewoman.
(3) Even assuming the film engages in sexualization, the girls depicted are not preschoolers. In the United States, the average age of consent is 16, with some states permitting marriage as early as 13 with parental consent. With that in mind, the maturity level of an 11 year old is only incrementally and insignificantly less.

I later asked a friend about that and she told me that is normal on French TV after 10pm esp on weekends. They are also very very liberal about sexuality and have protected/defended Roman Polanski for decades. This is a French film and would have been completely accepted and probably lauded there so not surprising. Surprising someone at NetFlix doesnt have a better moral compass but not shocked.

They've been pushing to sexualize children since the Sixties. They had to pause for a few years while they used it as a club to bash the Catholic Church (but not teachers' unions). Now that they've got a commie Pope that has simply vanished.
So it's back to normalizing pedophilia. That will give the Left everything they want: a world of broken people, incapable of meaningful relationships with any other humans. Desperate for something to give themselves meaning and a moral compass. The Party will provide all that.
