The Morning Rant

talking ape.jpg

Well, I guess the 2020 Democratic National Convention is going pretty well so far:

--The DNC tells America how relevant they are by dragging that old fossilized hippie Steven Stills out of cold storage to play a song that is 54 years old. Groovy, man.

--They had Bill Clinton lecturing Donald Trump on proper decorum for the Oval Office.

--Andrew Cuomo to to brag about his successes in fighting the covid pandemic in the state of New York. The really astounding aspect of this is that his constituents back home believed him.

--John Kerry presented himself as an expert in foreign policy. While pretty much unwatched here in America, word is that his ratings in Tehran were pretty good.

--Previously, Elizabeth Warren spoke on behalf of her fellow Native Americans. She should've shared her crab omelet recipe.

--the Hamas louse Linda Sarsour spoke on the topics of tolerance and acceptance of others.

I think the 2020 Democrat Party convention is just an extended "opposites" day.

Oh, and the unyielding tower of progressive principles Bernie Sanders was caught on open mic asking "how far do you want me to bend over?"

Listened to this interesting Derek Hunter podcast with journalist Matthew Lysiak, author of the new book "The Drudge Revolution: The Untold Story Of How Talk Radio, Fox News, And A Gift Shop Clerk With An Internet Connection Took Down The Mainstream Media."

https://tinyurl.com/y5om7dub

Drudge still owns and runs his website. When Andrew Breitbart was working for Drudge during the 2008 election, he would continually post links to Obama's association with the Rev. Wright, Dorn and Ayers, et. al. -- and Matt would pull them down. Angrily, Andrew finally asked why he was doing that, and Drudge replied "Obama may be bad for the country, but he'll be great for my website."

Drudge is no ideologue (describes himself as a libertarian of course). He's an opportunist and fancies himself a kingmaker -- and he arguably helped both Obama and Trump get elected.

Lysiak said Drudge is going all-in now to defeat Trump, and if when Trump wins re-election it will kill Drudge's credibility once and for all.

... the equivalent of George McClellan bragging about his successes with fighting the Confederate Army

George had quite the imagination and a timid streak a mile or more wide. Did he ever engage Bobby Lee at a time when he thought Bobby's forces on hand weren't at least twice as large as his own?

After he was relieved of command the second time by Lincoln, he thought that he could turn his popularity with the enlisted Union troops in the Army of the Potomac into a term or two as his era's President Boyfriend. W. T. Sherman and U. S. Grant drove the wooden stake through the heart of that plan in '64.

That is how the game is played. You can say anything, no matter how outlandish, and if it's not challenged - it becomes true. It can still be shocking to some, if they haven't paid attention, just how damn non-judgemental the bulk of the populace is. They don't decide much of anything on their own. They just mimic the opinion that is put in front of them the loudest or most often. They're truly sheep for the most part.

I don't know. Andromeda has 5 seasons. Hercules has 6. Andromeda has 110 episodes and Hercules 111 + its TV movies. So they're pretty comparable. I think andromeda's downside is how the nature of syndicated tv was changing when it came out that Hercules didn't have as much of a problem with. And then it had like a weird shift in setting storyline in the last one or two seasons.

Honestly, it was an awful speech as far as content. There was nothing there, it was just lies and hyperbole save for one policy that Slow Joe was adamant about.

252 Let's take a swing state like Wisconsin. 2.8 million people voted in that election in 2016. Lets say 3 million will now, just to make the math easy.

And let's say Trump is really, really rocking it there. In 2016, this was a dead heat. In 2020, let's say Wisconsin has REALLY had enough, and goes for Trump by 5 points. 5 points would be a wave election.

That's 150,000 ballots. Think the DNC can make up 150,000 ballots in Wisconsin ? I do.

Trump has something that no amount of lies from the left can hide, he delivered. He told people he was going to bring their jobs back and help rebuild their lives and communities and he did it and they know it.

HOWEVER - blue states are going to mess with certification of their electors. We will know the results on election night, but they will not be official until perhaps January.

338 But remember this is the worst economy ever per MSM.
--------

At a macro level, economy is doing great. Because what has really been shut down are places that take in consumption spending: bars, restaurants, athletic events, vacations, etc. Most (many) are spending less, money is going into savings. On the micro level - if you own or work at a place like that you are suffering - through no fault of your own and not through a natural event, but by government.

So on the whole, the economy is doing well. But we have put in place some real income inequality where big business benefits while small business suffers.

Same number as earlier - the Dems needs to pass 150,000 fraudulent votes to null that. They can pull that off with vote by mail. Especially in Minnesota.

That's a lot of money. How about making it results-based? If the state ends in a surplus, you get 1% of the surplus as your salary. If the state ends in deficit, you pay out of your net worth proportionally. Run a 10% deficit? There goes 10% of your net worth as a special tax contribution.

I thought that you were joking,
When you said "I want to see you,
To discuss your contribution,
To the future of our nations heart and soul",

"Six o'clock my place Whitehall",
But I arrived just after seven,
But you said "it doesn't matter,
"I under stand your situation and your image I'm flattered,
I'd just like to tell you,
That I love all of your albums,
Could you sign this for my daughter?,
She's in hospital her name is Miriam,
Now ill get down to the gist:,
Do you want a line of this?,
Are you a socialist?,

I'm doing fine,
Buzzing all the time,
Just one hit,
And I feel great,
And I support,
The welfare state,

You must be a socialist because your always of out on the piss,
In your private members bar,
Yes you are, you superstar,
Well you sing about common people,
And the misshapes and the misfits,
So can you bring them to my party,
Can you get them all to to sniff this?,

All I'm really saying is,
Come on and rock the vote for me,
All I need is come on, roll up that note for me,
The gist of all this is,
Do you want hist or do you want misses?,
Are you a socialist,
Socialist, socialist,

You can be just what you want to be,
Just as long as you don't try and compete with me,
And we've waited such a long time for a chance to help our own kind,
Please come on and tow the party line,
You owe it to yourself,
Don't think of anyone else,
We promise we won't tell,
We won't tell,
We won't, tell.

I know *that's* not particularly new - they've been doing this at least since Obama - but I keep hammering on this.

Watch for it. The Left are now selling two competing yet incompatible narratives on EVERYTHING. It's totally bizarre once you start seeing it.

Example: Antifa doesn't exist. Antifa is all young nonviolent people.

Example: The people causing violence are anarchist white supremacists. The violence is justified reparations.

Example: There's nothing wrong with Joe Biden, who is strong and healthy. Kamala was chosen because she is ready "just in case".

It's just something I've noticed a lot more of lately. They used to be happy with a single lie they would morph as needed but now they specifically sell two two two lies in one. And the lies don't fit together!!!

Then, for crying out loud, put a number to it. How many points is Trump going to win Minnesota by ? Then I'll show you either how unbelievably high you put the number, or I'll show you how relatively few votes have to be frauded to null out the result - in a state that will willingly play along.

How many points is Trump up in Minnesota ? Easy question.

Maybe the less is that the hinterlands of these states have learned how to counter the blue enclaves' cheating.

My dear old Dad, VA Tech 'Double E Engineer', installed an extra outlet in my Mom's late '50s kitchen for the new dishwasher appliance. Ran wire from the fuse box in the basement, old style fuse box. He was very proud of his DIY accomplishment. He also added on a second fuse box for the deep freezer, washer and dryer in the basement.

35 years pass.
Parents are selling the house and moving, it gets inspected. City inspector took one short look at Dad's handiwork and disconnected the power, red tagged the fuse box, then demanded to know the name of the electrician who did the work to report him.
When Mom explained, he told her she was very lucky to not have had the house burn down in all those years. And to have a licensed electrician, not an EE Engineer, do the work.

493 It's worth remembering that Al Franken won his Senate Seat in Minnesota by direct voter fraud (Over Norm Coleman) and this was without mail in voting.

Minnesota dems have been practicing on perfecting their fraud schemes for a long time. So it's a concern.
On the other hand, it looks like Minnesota is still using an expanded Absentee system, which requires a voter to request a ballot. This is far better than the California and Oregon systems in which literally millions of ballots are mailed out, to be picked up and filled out by anyone who can grab them, with no documentation.

that's the main reason I consider Oregon and California to be completely lost to any honest governance, until their current ruling cliques are overthrown.

548 Drive around Minneapolis and tell me they're going to vote for Biden.
Posted by: Tami at August 21, 2020 12:18 PM (cF8AT)

They've voted D their entire lives. So say the number. Is Trump up ten points in Minnesota ? If he's up ten in Minnesota - then vote by mail doesn't matter.

But that's the thing - isn't it ? We all know damn well that he's not up by ten in Minnesota, and it would really be a Hell of a thing if he were up by five. Because five points in Minnesota, in an honest election, would mean he gained 7.5 points nationally over his 2016 run. That means we're talking about places like Colorado, DEL, and NJ as the toss ups. That would mean that Biden only has the West Coast and upper Northeast in his column - a total of 159 EVs. It would be a slaying - in a country as divided as ever. A historical mandate.

And even if he's up five in Minnesota, and we assume an unbelievable 10% turnout increase, it's still only 150K fraudulent votes needed to null that state back into the Biden column. And nobody here believes he's up by five in Minnesota for a second.

That's why none of you will say your number. Be confident all you want - this is all going to come down to voter fraud. All any of you have to do to prove it to yourselves is run a few numbers.

Bet your ass the DNC has.

Of course he delved into human dysfunction, reflecting his own, but he also had a surprising amount of compassion and honesty about it. Some of his characters overcome it, some are destroyed by it. I think Liz Taylor did her best work by far in his scripts - not just Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, but watch Suddenly Last Summer (if you can take it) If you aren't familiar with it, the characters start off trying to figure out the mystery of someone's death, and at the end you learn it's about a gay man, who's a pedophile, who gets murdered brutally by the children he preyed upon, and who deserved it. And his high society mother was in on it with him.

The anti-Biden twats may or may not be the way she really feels, but considering her past grasping at the spotlight, I'd just let it play out, without touting it as some kind of bellweather of turning Hollywood minds. So what is my point ? Simple. There is no reason to be "confident" of this election, because it's too easily turned on fraud. We can't - can't - show up in the numbers needed to sufficiently eliminate the possibility of fraud based on insurmountable leads - anymore than we can do anything to put Trump up 10 points in Minnesota. He's not up ten points in Minnesota, and there is no way in Hell he ever will be.

The only thing we can do is vote, and hope the margins are enough. But there is no damn way anybody that can do fractions and look at a table of the 2016 results should be confident - not with vote by mail in play.
