Bill DiBlasio and Communist New York Voters Have Turned Their City Into a Bloody Shithouse and Plague Farm

Daily Mail:

'Our community is terrified, angry and frightened': Upper West Side residents fury as homeless junkies and sex offenders are moved into three luxury hotels and turn the area into a spectacle of public urination, cat-calling and brazen drug use

The Belleclaire, the Lucerne and the Belnord in the UWS are three of 139 hotels being used as homeless shelters during the Covid-19 crisis in New York City

The city is paying $175 per person per night to house people to avoid COVID-19 outbreaks in shelters

It's unclear how long they will be kept there; none of the hotels are accepting paying guests currently

Upper West Side residents say they are terrorizing the neighborhood with drugs and crime

They are complaining that they don't feel safe and local restaurant owners fear they are driving away business

The only way for restaurants to make money is by offering outdoor dining but the owners say the homeless are approaching diners to ask for cash

The only important constituency is the Tax-Eaters.

The Tax Payers can fuck right off. White privilege bitches!

It coincides with a mass exodus of wealthy New Yorkers, many of whom will never come back to the city

Mayor Bill de Blasio has turned on them, calling them 'fair weather friends' who ought to be taxed higher

Governor Andrew Cuomo is begging them to come back and says the city desperately needs their money

Yeah, I'll bet he is.

Oh, and the city is choking in garbage and filth:

Garbage piles on NYC sidewalks attracting rats and raccoons after the sanitation department's budget was cut by $106million

Trash has been accumulating across New York City after the budget of the sanitation department was cut by more than $100million.

Photos show bags filled with leftover food scraps, cans and bottles piled high on sidewalks or overflowing out of corner litter baskets.

Dead rats have been found among the waste and raccoons have been spotted climbing out of garbage cans.

The garbage situation is dangerous; see the link for pictures.

DiBlasio's brewing up a bubonic plague in New York City.

City data shows that rat sightings increased from less than 1,000 in April 2020 to 1,658 in June 2020.

Rats, which like to eat garbage, carry bacteria and viruses that can cause serious illnesses such as fever, diarrhea and food poisoning.

...

Local business owners and residents have been up in arms about their neighborhood's rapid transformation into an open-air drug den, reminiscent of the 1970s and 80s, when rampant crime and crumbling infrastructure earned New York the moniker 'Fear City.'

The apparent rise in brazen public drug use comes as New York City is roiled by an alarming surge in criminal activity, with gun violence doubling in the past two months compared with the same period last year.

Mayor Bill de Blasio has blamed the recent spike in shootings on the coronavirus pandemic, arguing that people grew stir crazy after weeks under a strict stay at home order.

But NYPD leaders placed the blame squarely on de Blasio, accusing him of losing control of the city after he bowed to demands of Black Lives Matter protesters and slashed the department's budget by $1billion.

Police officials have also charged that the crime surge was driven in part by the recent release of thousands of prisoners from Rikers Island under a new bail law and due to coronavirus concerns.

Nah, that's crazy. There are Scientists and Studies that prove, conclusively, that Criminals have no connection to Crime.

The New York Post:

Upper West Side residents say three hotels that are housing hundreds of homeless men during the coronavirus pandemic have turned the area into a spectacle of public urination, catcalling and open drug use.

...

Ten sex offenders are staying in a single hotel -- the Belleclaire, which is just one block from the playground of PS 87.

"It doesn't feel safe anymore," nanny Michele McDowall, 39, told The Post.

She said she was recently offered crack by a pair of homeless men as she wheeled a toddler along Riverside Park at 79th Street.

...

"The [Department of Homeless Services] is a rogue agency," one local community board member said of the homeless influx, noting that residents were given no input and little or no notice of the move.

...

The board member added, "It feels like the 1970s. Everyone who can move out is moving out."

Asked about the funding and the number of homeless people being housed, a Department of Homeless Services spokesman said, "File a FOIA."

...

Of greatest concern for parents are the sex offenders -- 10 are living at the Belleclaire as of Thursday, the state sex offender registry said. That’s just one block from PS 87s' playground.

The 10 include Luis Martin, 44, who stabbed, punched and raped a woman in 1995, resulting in a 12-year jail sentence.

There are also four offenders whose victims were children: Ronald Butler, 62, convicted in June 2013 of raping a 16-year-old girl; Eddie Daniel, 59, convicted of abusing a 10-year-old in 2011; Jonathan Evans, 29, convicted of abusing a 6-year-old; and Michael Hughes, 55, convicted of possessing child pornography in 2007.

DiBlasio continues insisting he doesn't need the wealthy, and their tax money, to come back to New York, and that his mecca of rat-borne plagues and homeless men masturbating in playgrounds is just as he wants it.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio again pushed for a tax on wealthy New Yorkers to help close massive budget gaps if federal aid is not forthcoming — a policy Cuomo has resisted because he says it would cause the wealthy to flee New York.

"To the point about the folks out in the Hamptons, I have to be very clear about this. We do not make decisions based on the wealthy few," de Blasio said at a press briefing Thursday. "I was troubled to hear this concept that because wealthy people have a set of concerns about the city that we should accommodate them, that we should build our policies and approaches around them. That's not how it works around here anymore."

Cuomo has been pleading with rich city dwellers who left the city for second homes at the height of the pandemic to come back. And he argues that raising their taxes, an idea that now has support in both the Assembly and state Senate, would make matters worse.

As the Joker in Dark Knight says: "Do it. Do it. I want you to do it I want you to do it I want you to do it."

DiBlasio is a demon. He will literally destroy the city.

And I can't say I have much sympathy for New York City #WokeCommunists. They wanted this.

Choke on your wokeness, lefties.

Below, a Tim Pool video where he talks about all this.

No one wants to admit that they're full of people who are mentally ill and should be put in a mental institution for the rest of their lives.

Instead, they're allowed to roam the streets, cause problems, commit crimes, and evetually end up in jail.

Yes, they did. It's past 100 - so let's get trippy.

A lot of things have got us to this point. A false sense of security. A lot more excess and luxury than we as a society, on the macro scale, can handle. A lot of affluence that we can't even explain - let alone sustain.

Also - as the fine folks of New York City are learning - some of us have picked up a very bad damn habit of entrusting our personal security to others. Namely police and government.

Remember that saying - a government powerful enough to give you anything you want can take away anything you have. Well, the folks in the big apple are living it. But here's the deal - they won't change. People rarely change.

235 The system is supposed to be a competition--states compete with each other for the productive citizens, which is supposed to ensure that no one does anything that makes the citizenry angry enough to leave for greener pastures

I think the founders didn't count on a "death spiral" situation, where the productive people keep fleeing and there are fewer and fewer people left who are capable of fixing the problem.
Wasn't Diblasio elected with like 33 % of the vote? Any everyone knew he was going to be trouble?

Back in the day, hobo's kept to themselves and made camps outside of Cities. They would make gravy and have fires and talk about wealth they would never have and the freedom from that wealth they had by riding the rails while they patched their shoes with cardboard and smoked thrown out cigars.

Then the White man came and killed them for their wings and cinnamon teeth and forced them to go and live in the Cities or die and they did not like that but they would be dead if they stayed.

The one thing the Blue areas of the country produce is people. Then they do well enough and move to states like North Carolina, VA, and TX. No Southern or even Western state would go blue if people had to vote in the city in which they were born.

Yes, sort of. This is EXACTLY why I rail against the euphemistic appelation "homeless." It implies that if these people just had a home, everything would be fine. "Vagrant" puts the blame where it belongs: on the people involved.

We always read weepies about how horrible jails are. Well, hell, they're filled with bad people.

Same thing with the ghettos. "The mean streets," forced to live with crime, etc.

Why are the streets mean? Why is there so much crime? Why is there so much drug use? Why so much gang activity? Why is it so dangerous? Why do schools there perform so badly? Is there something in the water supply, or the soil, or something?

No. Of course not. It's the people who live there who are responsible for making it that way.

LA mayor tried the same crap here. They wanted 15k rooms to be freed up - and he even threatened to dox hotels that weren't going to comply by destroying their business.

Sadly for them, too many sane people prevailed, but still he got rooms for at least 1500 before their media blitz went dark.

They did the same in SF, and it's been a disaster for the hotel owners. Gee, who'da thunk?. Back in July they'd secured around 5k rooms, and the places were instantly trashed. I think there was even an article on the bums calling prostitutes up to the rooms and using room service, but I can't for the life of me find the local news articles now.

Absolutely right.

Leftists talk about "oppression" and people being "oppressed." They don't realize that the purpose of society is to oppress people. We WANT murderers, kidnappers, arsonists, drug dealers, child pornographers, gang members, thieves, etc. to be oppressed.

Why? Because some part of society will inevitably be oppressed. Either oppress the ne-er-do-wells cited above, or they will oppress the decent, hard-working, law-abiding, taxpaying citizens.

But either way, somebody is going to be oppressed. You just get to choose whom.

There is about .5% of the Homeless, maybe that many, who are genuinely in that situation. A string of bad luck, bills, a fire, horrendous health costs, something destroyed them and they are out on the street or living in cars. That's a real thing (ask Baldilocks about it some time).

But almost all of the homeless are that way out of either choice or because they are so screwed up they cannot be tolerated in any society. Lunatics, addicts, alcoholics, or just so incredibly hostile and lazy they just will not do what it takes to be more than a street person.

And the left refuses to believe any of that could possibly be the case. Its always some evil cackling white male Monopoly guy with a monocle who threw them out of their homes so he could build a chinchilla ranch on the property or some ridiculous crap.

Top administration officials said Friday they will recommend President Trump move forward with executive orders to address the economic fallout from the coronavirus as negotiations on Capitol Hill collapsed.

"In the meantime, we're going to take executive orders, to try to alleviate some of the pain that people are experiencing," White House chief of staff Mark Meadows told reporters.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said that he and Meadows "will recommend to the president based upon our lack of activity today to move forward with some executive orders."

Mnuchin said administration officials will be recommending executive orders to deal with unemployment after the $600 per week federal benefit expired last week. They will also recommend that Trump sign orders relating to rental foreclosures and student loans.

Believe the math;

Individual Liberty = k / Population Density

The constant k accounts for various regional cultures. But liberty is inversely proportional to population density. And that, my friends, is why somebody pulled Barry's strings on bringing high density housing out to the burbs.

I'll believe that until my dying day.

Thus BoJo could win in London, Rudy and then Bloomberg could hold NYC, but absent someone larger than life, the one-party state mentality allows utter incompetents to resume their rule.

there is something inherent in cities. Look at the movie Gangs of New York, that was set over 150 years ago and it still stands. The suburbs were a respite but that is no longer the case Someone mentioned "going rural" upthread. I endorse that wholeheartedly. If you have the means why not?
If the Corona virus proved anything, it is that cities are not needed as much as people think. If you work on the ground there, then fine, it is needed. If you work in an office, that is not as clear. If your work can be done from anywhere, you better really like musical theater if you want a good reason to stay.

459 there is something inherent in cities. Look at the movie Gangs of New York, that was set over 150 years ago and it still stands.

My conjecture: it's the anonymity of cities.

In a small town, if you're a dirt bag, a criminal, a pervert, a druggie, etc. it's not long before everybody knows that, and behaves accordingly. The cops are on your case, the citizenry knows you're no good, no one trusts you. In short, your prey become inaccessible.

But in a city, that's not true. The place is full of prey who don't know that you're bad news.

That's my guess for why cities end up concentrating human detritus.

460 Dems are like parasites. They move into a host, who's doing fine. Then they claim to anyone that will listen that the host loves them because look, he's doing fine with us. We helped him do fine.

Then the host succumbs to the parasite and the parasite blames the host's parents for killing him.

And we know the actual number is lower.

From yesterday:

__kerpen
The CDC now reports that 4,127 death certificates in the COVID count also list "intentional and unintentional injury, poisoning and other adverse events."

__kerpen
CDC: "For 6% of the deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned. For deaths with conditions or causes in addition to COVID-19, on average, there were 2.6 additional conditions or causes per death."

Posted by: weft cut-loop at August 07, 2020 04:17 PM

Yep. And I think I got this earlier from PJW as well:

Thousands of coronavirus deaths 'will be wiped off the government's official toll' after urgent review into counting fiasco that included people who had recovered and died of other causes in the toll

http://dailym.ai/3kpGMCg

Every single data point regarding COVID-19 from the deaths to the cases to the hospitalizations is hot fucking garbage. They've been lying about this shit from the beginning, because this was a Deep State political op from the beginning.

If things were done correctly -- i.e. counting deaths correctly, not sending people to die in nursing homes -- I think the numbers end up being closer to 80,000 dead instead of 160,000. Which is akin to numbers during a bad influenza season.

As much as I loathe - loathe, passionately - the idea of mandatory service (the State already helps itself to enough of your income as it is, it doesn't need your labor), I wonder if a lot of cities would be better off, say, establishing VFDs, instead of paid, unionized FDs. (Seriously. To encourage some buy-in to the city on the part of its citizens.) Or to offer it citizens services, to be sure, but instead of having those services conducted by a bunch of unionized employees and permanent city hangers-on, turn them into job training programs for various people, and even open them up to a part-time basis for people who want to make an extra dime at lost cost to the city government.

City governments dare not do things like this for their employees are a voting block for the city government for it to do whatever it wants, corruptly or otherwise.

Ah well, just some idle thoughts on a Friday afternoon. I hope they make some sense even if you disagree.

485 ...and, having lived out in the deep country for five years, I can tell you:

My strategy is to live in a place like this near enough to a major city (like Houston or San Antonio) without actually having to live IN one. I want to get a decent plot of land to do with as I desire, beyond the reach of America's Committees for the Defense of the Revolution, otherwise known as HOAs, and beyond the reach of rapacious local governments with dumb ideas and dumber implementation.

On that: never forget that the federal HR and the federal Senate is filled with grifters, opportunists and other such reprobates that HAD to start in the ranks of school boards, county commissioner's courts, city governments and state governments somewhere.

486 Heard from a friend in Denver where some homeless people had decided to camp outside of her church. They gently asked them to leave because the mess was becoming an issue as they resumed service. So the homeless people set it on fire, burned half of it down. Church was built in the 1800's, original stained glass windows, etc. destroyed.
