No, I didn't cut my A/C usage; my momma dint raise no fools. Nor was GEICO involved. I stopped leaving more than one light on in the living room while I worked and posted here; and most important, I think, I stopped reaching for the hot water tap to do quick rinses of my plates and cups. At this time of year, "cold" water is hardly that, tepid at best, but it works fine. So I was not continually tapping the water heater's store and having to replenish it.

Landscapes are easier than portraits. This is why man amateurs are drawn to them and why they are taught to beginners. With time, one can become quite good. Tolkien had a number of nice landscapes.

Bush was a disaster as a president. I guess he was better than the alternative but that is it. And for him to be such a jack ass to his own party, the people that supported him, is a low place to go. This guy did NOTHING for 2a, he increased statism, and he left his party with no heir and in shambles. Luckily we brushed it off and came back.
I tried to see the good in this guy and still think at one time his heart was in the right place. That he can go left and buddy buddy with the Obamas is a sad thing really.
I supported McCain in the primaries against W. Looking back, that doesn't look good but I had my reasons. They were about honor and not specific political positions. That was long ago and I am still proud of doing that. McCain turned out to be a horrible ally, he was all about himself.
But the thing about W that bothered me from the beginning is he was being forced upon us by the party. There was nothing about the guy that gave him the right to the nomination. It was so obvious people were pushing him and carrying him kind of like Biden today. I didn't like that at all.
He ended up a big government statist apologist for conservatism. In some ways he was the precursor to Never Trumpers and Soy Republicans.

It's why I was thrilled at first that Sessions was picked for AG: he single-handedly won that fight with Bush, if not for him we'd have millions and millions more illegals. I'm not sure if it was just that he was older and tired, or came from a generation that had honorable Democrats so he didn't realize they were snowing him, but Sessions ended up being a terrible AG. I feel so badly that someone was hard core anti-illegal immigrant when it was a genuine political risk to take that position ended his career so badly.

Actually, Obama started drawing down troops from Iraq while Republicans controlled the congress and senate. Trump can bring troops home without the congress just as he is doing rightfully in Germany. Trump knows that we need some troops in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan but doesn't admit it.

The 4-color process means it's high-quality litho prints. Typical color printing is 3 color (CMY), Cyan, Magenta and Yellow, together make black. CMYK adds black, which makes a richer looking print when blacks are introduced. Really swank books may use 2 blacks and even a spot varnish, or rarely a spot color/foil (silver, gold or corporate color).
