Two massive explosions rocked Beirut on Tuesday, flattening much of the port, damaging buildings across the capital and sending a giant mushroom cloud into the sky. Beirut explosion is in area known to be used by Hezbollah for its long-range precision-guided missile project, which Israel publicly calls a red line. I have no specific knowledge, but would be surprised if explosives that detonated were not associated w/ that project. 1/
Accident or sabotage? Unclear. But one reason explosives were there in 1st place is Obama-Biden nuclear deal, which gave Iran & its terror proxy Hezbollah billions & unleashed them in the region. One of Hezb’s top priorities has been building sophisticated missiles. 2/ The nuclear deal harmed the security of Israel and Arab states alike -- but it was implemented in 2015, Trump admin won the 2016 election, and then reimposed sanctions, cracked down on Iranian terror, and in 2018 pulled out of the nuke deal. 3/ But now it looks like Biden is going to win the election and bring back Obama’s Iran deal crew. He promises to engage w/ Iran, re-enter nuke deal, and continue the Obama foreign policy that makes everyone in the region targeted by Iran feel threatened. 4/ So earlier this summer we saw nuclear infrastructure in Iran catch fire and blow up. And now massive explosions in Beirut that likely eliminated major Hezbollah arms and explosives stockpiles. There may be a reason this stuff is happening. 5/ One possibility is that states in the region who are threatened by a return to Obama-Biden ME foreign policy are taking precautions. They are trying to weaken Iran and its advanced weapons projects as much as possible before a less friendly new admin takes over. 6/ As many of us said at the time, the Iran deal is terrible for peace and stability, because – to state the obvious – it empowers the leading sponsor of terrorism in the world with cash and room to maneuver. The Beirut explosion may be a result of exactly that instability. Final thought: I have visited Beirut on several occasions. It's a beautiful and interesting city with many good people living there. Prayers for its residents. Most of them do not want to live like this, and are themselves victims of Iran and Hezbollah.

The third one looks like the grain elevator went in a grain dust explosion. Those can be around 0.5 to 1 KT. The north side of the grain elevator looks like an explosion from within the elevator. You need to see the video from the East looking west from the hills to the port. The top of the grain elevator is another place to look. The early bit was probably fireworks: you can see them going off in the smoke of the fire. Then that fire probaby hits something else and kaboomerooney. The colored smoke would seem to suggest that fireworks was not a small component, and that sort of blast you can get from a good old fashioned conventional 'splosion. See under "halifax disaster".

ZeroHedge had a post up with a bunch of videos of the explosion and the moments before. There was a fire burning with smoke cloud at something near the port, and you could clearly see all sorts of little flashes and pops going off which would be consistent with fireworks cooking off.
And then, the Big Boom. I think this was accident -- the original fire got too close to something.

Unless Hezbollah is actually on the cusp of advanced missiles with payloads. I think that's an official "red line" for Israel. If they had it, or were very close, they'd hit it as hard as they needed to. If a commando raid or something precision and stealthy - and yeah, that's definitely more Israel's style - didn't have a strong probability of success, it seems reasonable that they'd go for "blow it up and let the chips fall where they may."

That last video view - at normal speed, no fancy video analysis, your theory does seem to have possible support. The elevator does appear to be a source for the big boom, though it's pretty hard to tell.
Some Moron here said he'd already done video software analysis - but not that angle, I don't think. Maybe he can run it on that last video clip posted by ace, see if my eyes are seeing what I think they are.

Interestingly that big boom provided a beautiful instance of a Wilson Cloud, which is a condensation cloud caused by the shock wave passing through. On the back side, it "springs back", making low pressure and low temps, which cause water vapor in the air to condense rapidly.
This is the same mechanism you see in those cool photos of jets and rockets in the transonic region with condensation bubbles around them.

As the Dog points out the color of the explosion was indeed the trademark of a massive fertilizer, Ammonium Nitrate type explosion and the "sparks" look like fireworks to me also.
Also, Israelis aren't know for flattening city blocks, they are more precision, less collateral damage.

First, there is a fire burning, the column of smoke. Then there's an explosion, the red flash, and THEN, maybe a half second later, there's a massive detonation, undoubtedly triggered by the explosion. I won't go on about the difference between the two, other than that they are different physical processes. Explosions make a big boom - Detonations make a BIG BADA BOOM. Supports the idea that a big pile of ammonium nitrate was there. Or maybe the grain elevator, BUT go frame by frame and you can see that the origin of the detonation is very low, on the ground, to the left edge of the explosion.

One of the videos, taken from a balcony appears to show lots of tiny little explosions all over the place, just like fireworks going off for several seconds afterwards. I took it to mean they were going off on different floors of a building, but they could have been airborne.
The giant red flame looks as if it's located in a different spot entirely. The boat video also looks this way. Depends on the angle of course.
There's also a video of some "incoming" object just a second before the big one - looks like a bird to me, but I might be looking at the wrong thing.

2. If you look at the twitter link, as the video starts you can see those little puffs of smoke that commercial fireworks produce coming our of the smoke plume. It really looks like fireworks going up to me.
BUT, I guess it makes sense to put the hazmat storage next to the grain elevator since that is a remote and guarded area. And what the heck, if you are going to build a missile factory, might as will put that over in the corner but the other hazmat stuff.
