1 Good Morning Morons today is August 2, 2020. On this day in 1790 the first United States Census was conducted. Illegal aliens were not counted.

47 Thus, in the People's Republic, cheerful waves and smiles of neighbors or strangers are replaced by suspicious stares, accusatory shouts that people are standing too close or missing their masks. Here people can't be all chummy with neighbors and friends because any one of them could be the silent carrier of the death virus. Better to do without friends, not to see family, not to trust or welcome anyone if a lonely, destitute existence will "keep them safe."

67 I couldn't get in on the Movie Thread last night because I was watching . . . an actual movie. More in a moment.

My noms for "Movie better than book": Die Hard, Jaws, and a little-known '80s horror film with Albert Finney, Wolfen.

I do disagree with TJM on this point: Double INdemnity the novel does NOT read like a screenplay for the movie. When Raymond Chandler was working on the script of DI the film, he realized that James M. Cain's dialog, while it looked great on the page, would not play on film. So there is really very little of Cain's dialog in the finished film. The basic scenes of the novel are there -- so you could say the novel reads like a treatment for the film -- but the dialog is much different. And the film has a finer ending . . . though when I reread the novel a few years ago, I'd forgotten the ending, and got a real charge out of it.

Anyway: I watched the first two episodes of a limited series called Vienna Blood, with Michael Beard as a young doctor, a English Jew in 1906 Vienna, who is interested in the psychopathy of crime. He teams up with an unwilling Viennese police inspector to observe the investigation of a murder, an impossible crime which for a change is clever.

Despite all the dim lighting and murky cinematography, I was intrigued and enjoyed episodes 1 and 2, which function as a unit and wind the mystery up nicely.

Put me into the Debbie Downer column -

What has been in the public domain for years has the appearances of massive fraud and framing of the President (Candidate, Elect, and Actual) and his staff when viewed by Occam's Razor and that Sherlock 'however improbable it is it'. Given that the canal doubled down on the fraud and frame-up every chance every chance they had to correct for the appearances.

They documented it, it was always there in the files, nothing new has yet to come. What little that has come out is unredacted confirmation of what appeared to always be the case.

Half the cabal could have been redacted less than a year into first four, and Mueller has proven, it isn't hard to destroy someone with a flimsy case of 'false statements' based on 90% conjecture.

Looking to where 'the buck stops', I don't think Trump took the frame-up seriously until the cabal went in with the ultimate in the impeachment.

100 Half the cabal could have been redacted less than a year into first four, and Mueller has proven, it isn't hard to destroy someone with a flimsy case of 'false statements' based on 90% conjecture.

Looking to where 'the buck stops', I don't think Trump took the frame-up seriously until the cabal went in with the ultimate in the impeachment.

She won't give a damn because she'll destroy free elections forever and institute a stasi. The illegal immigrant surges were just troops, invaders, not a sign of "freedom loving people coming here to express ideas". That was always bullshit. Look at all the migrants in military gear marching in Britain.

Fuck the DOJ for not taking illegal immigration in hand and arresting complicit Americans.

Fuck the DOJ for refusing to prosecute the democrat coup plotters, not a fucking single one

Fuck the DOJ for failing to prosecute even their own pedo perverts. A nice pension. Yeah, that will solve this.

Of course it might just be the big October surprise, but two weeks never comes.

Overly long (overture, intermission) but very colorful with many pretty island girls. They even managed to work in a little double entendre about fighting/fucking for one's country. Too long to explain here. "The Bounty" with Mel Gibson and Anthony Hopkins is the movie version that plays closet to the facts of the incident. The 1935 version is the most over the top. imho

Yep. 3.5 years deliberately squandered by the DOJ.

I expect that at any moment someone will appear to say "don't you trust that Trump wants it this way?" or "why are you so negative?"

I'm not negative, the reality is negative. And no, I don't believe he wants it this way. If he does then "lock her up" was a great big lie. The alternative is that Hillary IS innocent, the FBI was just practicing diligence, and Flynn is a Russian agent. So no, no, no, Barr is not doing "what Trump wants". He's a fucking Bushie.

215 The corruption at DOJ is the corruption of the legal system et al. Lawyers figured out a long time ago they can rig the system in their favor. Lawyers become mayors, judges, and politicians. The corruption of the system is near complete. Overcharging suspects is routine to force plea deals. At the federal level, 96% of the cases are won by the government. The fbi is part of DOJ. Why did they send a SWAT team to arrest Stone? Why did they not reign in Crossfire Hurricane? Why did they lie about Carter Page? How can this be fixed if the one person not part of the system, Trump, can be spied upon, lied about, villified, and condemned routinely by the deep state, traitorous democrat party, and the media?

We have them all dead to rights in their own words and deeds, all of these smug doofs documented everything pretty extensively.

There has been nothing to "uncover" for 3.5 years.

Barr/Durham know how properly instigated, properly predicated investigations are initiated and conducted.

They have 5 IG reports and access to the fully unredacted investigative record as the basis for assessing and parceling out charges.

Durham has "been on the case" for over a year, and now on the eve of the election Barr's DOJ is going to bring indictments, indictments if they ever go forward to trial, will happen sometime in 2021 or 2022.

And that presupposes Trump wins, if Trump loses, everything simply goes away.

346 CNN political analyst joelockhart tells smerconish that Joe Biden shouldnt debate President Trump.

Trump will take the truth and destroy it, and Biden will be in the position of correcting him over and over and over again. I dont think he should give him that platform.

This is a very strong part of the new wokism. To debate in fair and open market in WRONG. Just allowing the conservative (alternative) side to speak up is now considered wrong. Watch this very closely in your professional and personal lives. If you go to a meeting or seminar on wokism listen very carefully to the rules. The first rule will be no questions allowed or the question must be submitted after the meeting. (Think about you ballot in the USPS) The new rule is force, volume, and message. Science, logic, and linear thinking are off limits.

Now lets apply this to to people in todays marketplace:

Uncle Joe: Notice no question allowed. No appearance on a talk show. Just messaging of a teleprompter.

Obama: See above.

Pelosi: Forceful, full volume insanity. No real words or message. Just wide open hate.

Fauci: Sciencetism. Converting unproven into science sounding messages using his title and office. Be very careful of science sounding messaging. It start off with fairly sound message then devolves into junk. Masked required for dating and romance but some positions (reverse cowgirl) are more safe.

CNN MSNBC, et al: Notice that the debate is not a mathematical equation (a squared plus b squared = c squared) that can be written down and then proven on paper. It is a conversation (debate) that is over less than 1 degree or 1%. For example: Both talking conservative heads agree that illegal immigration is needed. They are arguing over it is more important to have have them working on nice yards and landscape or new roofs on houses.

President Trump: Notice that he stands in front of reporters and allows them to asked gotcha questions. These questions always start with straw-man or sciencetism statistic. He usually responds with a question asking for the reporter for a few more details. Example: Isnt pulling 12k (stat) soldiers out of Germany a gift to Russia (straw man)? PDT Answer: Did not Germany commit 2% of their budget to defense? Have you asked them why they do not follow up on their pledges? My job is to protect America and Americans and the way I do that is have a strong, mobile Army ready to be deployed to defend our interests.

So be very, very careful when trying to talk to or approach Progressives. Their sciencetism dogma is not a fact or figure but it is a feeling or belief. Or it may just be a fear of the TRUTH.

Did not say I believe society will collapse.

From the earliest observations there was a cabal was trying to take out Trump, maybe as early as Hillary seemingly off the wall accusing him of being a RUSSIAN stooge during the debates (it was almost that early) their has been a small cohort who came out and said if the RUSSIA claim as supported by deep state cabal was a fabrication then it would mean the end of the country as we know it.

So, best to sweep it under the rug.

Oddly, if baseless accusations are successful then they were OK with that taking down the Government. They pretend to be unbiased observers yet seem to be passive when the enemy is winning and protect the enemy when they are losing.
