1 Good Morning Morons today is August 1, 2020. On this day in 1965 Frank Herbert's novel, Dune was published for the first time. It was named as the world's best-selling science fiction novel in 2003. So it was published in 1965, so why is the Kindle version $10? Ans: Because of Mickey Mouse copyright laws and gouging.

8 I am not believing this crap. A federal appeals court has vacated the death sentence of the remaining Boston Marathon killer. A three-judge panel of the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ordered a new penalty-phase trial, finding that the judge who oversaw the case didn't sufficiently vet jurors for biases. Sounds like BS to me. Ace covered this yesterday afternoon after I had already added it here. So fine if you haven't seen it yet. But I will only add that those three judges should replace the SOB on death row.

They of course pulled the favorite liberal tactic and used a lie that another environmental impact study was needed. Of course the 4 liberal shits voted with the ACLU.

Damn I love this timeline.

"Wear this mask when entering this restaurant specifically to use your fingers to buy food using the touch keypad of the Visa card reader. When ready to consume food, remove mask and place it somewhere beside you, then consume food that you will push into your mouth with your bare fingers. Replace mask with fingers after you finish eating."

30 The more the commie stooges in the blue state mobs push for an "over reaction" to their provocations, the more they need to be left alone with their tantrums. Alinski rule 6, A good tactic is one your people enjoy, seems to be the order of the day. The violence and incoherent messaging is making the mobs happy, but they live in blue cities, and their only targets, once they destroy all the black communities, are the businesses and schools and homes of the left. The powerful left is all for surrendering the rights and property of others, but NIMBY fails when your hired mercenaries don't believe in personal ownership of your yard.

When I first bought my house I was on a well. Every two or three years I had to have the well pulled up and a new check valve installed on the bottom. When country water came in I signed on to that and had my well abandoned and paved over. Now I wish I had back. Lot of problems with county water now with ever increasing rates.

They don't quite realize that they are abdicating their authority when they do this.

If you disagree with your elected official, your legal means of recourse is to vote or use the courts. Any another avenue is prohibited by law and enforced by LEOs.

295 In late February I came down with an intense but relatively short lived cold. It was gone in about a week, but the cough was bad enough on the second and third day that my abdominal muscles were achy. On or about day 5 I was no longer coughing but I got winded more than usual while exercising. After day 6 or 7 I was fine and I've been disgustinly healthy ever since.

At the time there had been no Covid cases reported within about 200 miles of us and only people who had recently been to China or Italy were being tested. So I figured I couldn't possibly have had the Wu Flu but now I wonder. Whatever it was it didn't last long, and I'm no spring chicken (56 years old, still obese despite regular exercise, but not yet diabetic). Anyone else have something like this?

"They're never going to have the result of that election -- never the correct result," Mr. Trump told reporters at the White House. "Thousands and thousands of ballots are missing."

He said if mail-in voting is expanded on a national scale in November, "You won't know the election result for weeks, months, maybe years after."

Comrades, if you go to a riot you can't get it. If you go to John Lewis' funeral you can't get it. If you go to church/synagogue or vote in person we'll all die!!!!!

Mail out of our post office in Rosharon is notorious for being late or lost. Of all the post offices in the area, ours had the distinction of making the local news broadcast.

Posted by: Hadrian
Yup. I wonder if anyone from the press has asked them if, even today, they know the final vote tallies from the Iowa primary.
Just joking. Obviously no one has asked. Hope the doggies are getting better, despite the ants.

I signed up for informed delivery. It was interesting to see how many pieces of mail were mysteriously delayed. A lot of stuff from GOP candidates, not that I want all these, but it pissed me off that they were slowed down. I started hitting the "I did not receive this mail" button, and the problem seems to have stopped. Now books hanging out in Newark is a different matter...

379 8 I am not believing this crap.

These are his defense attorneys, working for their client on the government dime. While the judges insist that the bomber will be spending the rest of his life in prison, his lawyers won't stop until he is freed on some sort of legal technicality.

Don't believe me?

John Hinckley Jr. shot and almost killed the POTUS, Ronald Reagan, 39 years ago. He is now a free man. His parents didn't rest until they obtained that result for their son.

The judges who made that ruling for the Boston bomber won't be around to see the fruits of their awful decision, but the lawyers won't rest until they get the best deal for their client. It's what the system pays for them to do - it's their job.
